The first one was not a satisfactory because the therapist who was a man does not have even pressure applied during the massage. Strokes not evenly applied to both sides. I frequently go to spas all over the world and this is the worst that I had considering I paid for membership. The spa is clean but the massage therapist that I happened to choose was useless, I could have just use my automatic chair massage for free. The next service I had was a facial and the aesthetician was great and awesome. But their products are pricey and i had the worst breakout of pimples ever, so I didn’t continue using it. Because both services rendered are not satisfactory, I had to cancel membership and still they will continuously charge your credit card. Upon first visit and signing up, the staff was at par excellent and made it so easy for you, very accommodating and courteous but when it comes to your request such as cancellation of membership, I had to call twice and they still did not get the job done. I had to wait for 4-8 weeks. They continue to charge your card and i consider that fraud . They refuse to cancel it the easiest way possible and keep passing it on to the membership manager/staff whom I never heard response. So I called the second time and this time, they sent me an email that they cancel my membership but on their end, my credit card was still charged for over $ 180 without any service rendered. It was automatically billed and they have a “ hard time cutting it off” which is absurd. I had a long discussion about this over the phone until finally all these hassles was stop after so many attempts to call them to cancel membership. On their website, customers have no option to cancel their membership or update your credit card info. Thus, the only way to cancel was to call which was a horrible experience. Be careful when giving your card to them, because they store all the information and save it. This has been the worst experience that I had. I dont recommend this spa.

I started working as a sales associate for hand and stone on April 23, 2021. At first, I was quite excited to start my new job at the spa, and the setting was really stunning. My employees greeted me with open arms and provided me with the finest training they could, but my managers were a different story. Erica, the "Hand and Stone Manager," is passive aggressive, narcissistic and manipulative. Erica's verbiage is always nasty, and I reprimanded her in a professional manner: "It's not what you say, it's how you say it," I told her. She took it upon herself to deliver this message to David " The Owner," but his responses were one-sided, and he only agreed with everything Erica had to say and they couldn't seem to remain on topic, which was Erica's deliverance. Overall, I would not advocate working here because the managers are incredibly self-centered and just care about themselves. I was fired a few days ago due to the perception that I had a bad attitude toward my bosses. FALSE! I've never had an attitude and have always behaved myself in a very professional manner, speaking up when I thought it was necessary. If you're not a pushover, I would not advocate working here. When it comes to the front, especially "Erica," the managers never help; you're always on your own until another SA arrives for their shift. They're disorganized, and if things aren't done their way, then it's the highway. Of course, I won't be able to spell down the entirety of my experience, but please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Worst massage ever. I rarely review but this one i wouldn't even give a 1 star. First they canceled my massage due to sick therapist. Ok, I get it people get sick but no real empathy or effort to assist with accommodation. So we reschedule because we had a gift card. But then my massage therapist gives no pressure. I'm not talking lite pressure I say I've gotten more pressure from my 10 yr old niece. Not sure if it was nerves or what but she shook the entire 80 minute massage. Didn't move the pillow thing to adjust for my height. When I asked for more firmness shaking was worse. I went in because of stress and back pain from working at a stressful job and driving and sitting at patient besides so when I say I left there more stressed and uncomfortable then I went in that's why I feel compelled to warn others to stay away. In some fairness my fiance said his massage therapist was good. Only reason I didn't stop massage 10 min in was because it was a couples massage and didn't want to disrupt my fiance and his therapist. Thank God we had a gift card but still had to pay $99 for someone to rub oil on me while shaking because it certainly was no trained therapist. But at least they offered to give discount if I return. Thank goodness a member of Hiatus Spa (any location) so I can go there for true relaxation and service.

I would not recommend. I had a poor experience. First the front desk; When I called to ask the rates, I was told 79.99 for the Swedish massage & $15 additional for the hot stones. After the service when I went to the front to pay & I was told my total would me $109.99. Make that make sense. The girl told me it was $20 for the stones & that the service was 79.99 but only if I was a member. Why did I get all incorrect information when I called?? This is unsettling. The lady was kind enough to discount the $10 that I was overcharged for the service but not the stones. Next, I was asked how much gratuity to leave. In my life, I have never had an experience when you were asked about a tip. I have been in the service industry for 22 years, so I understand the importance of tipping. But that was extremely uncomfortable and awkward and unprofessional. If someone would like to leave a tip, allow them to do what the entire rest of the world does - write a tip on the receipt they sign. Lastly, the massage was fine. I would rate it a 5/10. It was not bad it was not great. Overall though, a terrible experience and I cannot recommend them.

Upon my first interaction with Hand & Stone staff, I was very impressed. Extremely friendly receptionists that provide a no pressure “consultation” greeted me and walked me through their services. I was offered water with a choice of flavor. A pleasant aroma of citrus and lavender floats through the spotless lobby as you wait for your massage therapist to call you in. Promptly, Pharrell opened the door and called my name. This was the first massage I’ve ever received where the therapist thoroughly educated me on the whats and the whys. As well, I left the room feeling refreshed and restored rather than sore and tense. I HIGHLY recommend Pharrell if you’re walking around with stress on your back all day. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed while he worked out all of my kinks. Thank you Pharrell! I’ll 100% be back!

Update to the poor customer service. Someone called from a number listed as Bank of England and did not leave a message. Then received a text from another non related number asking to call to resolve the issue and cited the Bank of England number. However, the manager will not identify himself or herself with even a name. The email address from their previous response sends and error 505 access denied message, which shows the either my email is blocked or they block all gmail emails - probably to reduce the amount of complaints or having to truly deal with issues in written documentation. I look forward to receiving an email from them manager of the location and a regional manager this week. You have my email on file and I would prefer to keep all communication by email.

If i can give 0 i will be so happy because that's what this place deserves for their service i don't think they have professionals to give the service what we want. People don't waste your money and time as well, i went to there to get facials the only thing i get was face steaming and then she put hot towel on my face who does that and i supposed to pay what they told me when i get appointment they charged me extra i don't know why please don't waste your money it's horrible place and i got appointment for 3pm but they told me to come 2:40 they start almost at 4pm why i didn't wash my face with soap for free rather than pay 95 dollars to get only face steam why??

I’m a regular of this Hand and Stone location in Lake Highlands, using their most they membership program. Sam and Will have been the masseurs I’ve experienced consistently for nearly a year. What I like about this company is they are courteous and practice strong sanitation, 100% tailored service to my current needs, and they always make relevant recommendations to expand health beyond the session. Quality products and complete satisfaction, I’ve never been a loyal customer to a massage and wellness studio before in the two decades I’ve been getting massages.

I have never had a massage before, and I am so very glad I got Peggy to introduce me to it the right way. I left happy, relaxed, and I have been feeling good ever since. She was very careful with me and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. My husband however, had a bad experience and has been hurting ever since he left. I dont know who his masseuse was, but I wish he had Peggy because he is not very happy, which is a shame since it was our anniversary. If you go, I would recommend her.

I've visited this Hand and Stone location several times and always have a good experience. It can be hard to get last minute weekend appointments, but lately it seems like they have more massage therapists available so I've been able to visit this location more often. It's convenient and a good price for massage services. I have the membership and they're able to pause it a couple times a year so I can catch up on unused packages. Definitely recommend if you live in the area.

Had an appointment scheduled for 11am and they called me at 9am to cancel my appointment because my therapist didn’t show up for work. Had no other appointments for me and suggested I call another location. Funny that if I cancel 24hours prior to my appointment, I get charged 50% but if they cancel 2 hours before mine I get nothing. And now I have to find an appointment elsewhere. First time trying this company and will be the last.

Excellent massage therapist, Travis, who was very intuitive in where I needed focus work. I slept well & felt great the next day. Membership prices are a good deal, but the hefty enrollment fee ($100 but knocked down to $40 for special promotion) make me not want to commit. Also, the website doesn't give elaborate description of services--I'd like to know what 'percussive therapy is & the benefits without getting a sales pitch.

I went here to get a facial and Erica I believe was her name was very rude to one of the employees. Super unprofessional. Idk why she was yelling at her but I think she could’ve done it behind closed doors or told her in a nicer way. I couldn’t even feel relaxed after that. I could definitely feel the tension with the employees. Someone above Erica needs to talk to her the way she does to her employees.

My Swedish massage was good but they shorted me in 5 minutes on my massage. I let the receptionist know that but it’s a bit annoying to have to do giving that I paid for 50 minutes. A suggestion to the company is to use a timer so that this doesn’t happen. *UPDATE* I was contacted by the manager who apologized for the issue and promptly resolved the issue. I am updating my review from 3 to 4 stars.

I had a Diamond Facial by Taylor today at the Northwest Highway location in Dallas and she is amazing. My skin is tighter and brighter and she makes you feel relaxed through the whole process. I’ve had several high end facials at world renown spas and this was as good as the Phoenician. Thank you Taylor for your professional service and expert technique.

I went for a massage, it was fine, okay, I've definitely had much, much better. It's very corporate and they try to sell you a membership. My advice is improve the quality of your massages and have more reasonable facial prices. I don't want to pay $200 for a facial.
