DO NOT JOIN FOR THE LOVERS LANE LOCATION! I had a membership for several years and then cancelled about a year ago because of repeated last minute appointment cancellations by the spa or issues with them not correctly rebooking appointments. I rejoined a few months ago because I read they had added the HydraFacial service. What I didn’t know is that you have to call to book the HydraFacial and they definitely have not fixed their issues with booking appointments over the phone. I had an appointment for 7:45pm Monday, March 2nd and had to dash work in LasColinas to home in Kessler Park before heading to the Lovers Lane spa location. I get there with 3 minutes to spare only to be told my appointment had been booked for 3/12 and not 3/2. I know this was not what I booked over the phone because (1) I always put the appointment in my calendar while I am making the appointment and (2) I had a work trip booked months ago that required me to be out of town on 3/12. The receptionist told me she would have a manager call me Tuesday to arrange a comp’d service for the inconvenience but I never heard from anyone. So I called Hiatus Tuesday night and after waiting on hold for twenty minutes I was told they would take a message and text the 3 managers to contact me. It’s now Wednesday night and I still haven’t heard from anyone. So I called again and left a message for the managers but I will be shocked if anyone returns the voicemail. I love getting facials from Crystal but the nail services have declined significantly. I only receive my membership discount on some of my product purchases so you always have to ask for a receipt to double check. It’s just not worth all the headaches. I’m going to use up my credits and then drop the membership again. I’d rather pay the extra money to go elsewhere.

Update based on the response from Hiatus from 4 weeks ago: 1. I never received a call or email from them inviting me back - not that I would have accepted to be honest. 2. Just goes to show that the they are inconsistent with what they say vs the service, as mentioned in the review below "service description does not match the actual service you get". *** original review w/ 2stars*** Average across the board. The people working in the studios are nice, at least that I have experienced. I was a member for 6 months. Their service description does not match the actual service you get. For example: I booked “ THE BEST FACIAL EVER - The service concludes with a non-invasive “lifting” microcurrent treatment from the FDA-approved Trinity device from NuFace to tone and lift your skin “ apparently the person I chose does not use any kind of electronic device for her facials and therefore I paid for this service without the reason I booked. I booked a 60 min tailor made facial - 30 minutes of that was talking to me about the facial and selling me on added service and the last 30 minutes was the actual facial. I booked the body wrap which according to the service description online mentions it includes A restorative scalp and foot massage balances the whole body - at the service she said the scalp massage isn’t really part of it and adds a $10 scalp massage add on. I emailed member services about the body wrap and they never responded. On top of that, it’s so difficult to get an appointment, even if you are a member, I had to jump around the hill, inwood, and even the star to use up my credits which rolled over so many times. In my opinion, it’s not worth the membership especially if this is the type of services you get.

This was my first time at Hiatus, and I will never return. I booked a fire cupping treatment 2 weeks before my scheduled appointment. I was so excited, I thought I had FINALLY found a fire cupping therapist in DFW after searching for 2 years. Hiatus’ menu includes not only cupping (suction cups) but fire cupping as well. But, I still confirmed with the receptionist while booking my appointment that it was indeed fire cupping. The lady that does it only had openings during my work day. I took off work early and went to Hiatus. When I get there, I went into the room and she (I think her name is Kira) said that firecupping isn’t offered but she could use suction cups and that she wouldn’t charge for it. I explained to her that it’s on the menu, I confirmed that they offered it, and she gave me a “take it or leave it” attitude. I even told her I left work early and she was unsympathetic. I WOULD NOT GO TO HIATUS FOR CUPPING. I have been to multiple spas and acupuncturists in other states and this was probably my worst experience. You could tell that she has no clue what she’s doing and she is definitely not a people person. I ended up paying at the end, no apologies or even a discount. I had such a horrible experience, that I had a facial scheduled for 2 days later and I canceled it. I will not go back.

Honestly worst spa experience I’ve ever had. It took me talking to 3 different people to even get an appointment booked - was booking 2 services for 2 people on the same day. Facial was great but the massage was horrible. My masseuse starts off the service telling me he just had covid and still doesn’t feel great then proceeds to tell me how annoyed he is to be working Christmas Eve. Talked the full massage and would mention things like “finally you’re almost done” and other things regarding how happy he was to be almost finished. Drowned me in oil and didn’t even really massage, just would move my limbs around. I had 20 minutes before my partner was done and he told me I couldn’t wait in the relaxation lounge I needed to pay and leave. When I was paying... I was at the front desk at 1pm, didn’t end up leaving until 220pm! It took that long to get the payment and services right. Had to get 3 different refunds because they kept charging me with extra services I did not have or consent to. I asked for a paper receipt to make sure the charges were correct. Was told they don’t have a printer but when my partner demanded a paper receipt they were able to print... would not come back. There are way better day spas or experiences in Dallas.

Anniversary Surprise FAIL! This was not the type of Customer service I was expecting. I CALLED in week. Ahead and booked a couple's massage for my husband and I 14 year anniversary.We would be driving to Dallas to celebrate, I wanted to surprise my husband with a Message. When making my reservation I confirmed the price, and details of the massage. Well let's just say Price gouging is a thing. After my 1/2 massage we we're told to go into another room for the next step. And the final step a facial .During this 2nd step foot bath, I expressed that this was not in the details of my couples massage THAT I CALLED And booked. Ater reviewing the details with the Reception she sayes "ohh I'll give you 20%off" .Umm excuses me Ma'am I did NOT Book these services and will not pay $600 extra dollars! On top of the 280 that was confirm on the web page and over the phone. Not to mention Tips! 2 people getting a massage! WHY ? Am I tipping 3 people! so confused. I was still charged for the foot bath that I DID not book!No apologies! And they Embarrassed me infront of my Husband Real bad ‍♀️. Let me be clear the ladies that performed the massage where AWESOME! Customer service was a FAIL! AND Disappointment

As E.R. said, nice atmosphere but God-awful staff. Other than the Aveda association, there's very little in terms of quality. My wife and I repeatedly had appointments booked incorrectly. My wife's friend who, upon driving an hour for her first appointment, arrived to be told that the appointment had been cancelled. No alternate arrangement was offered. Perhaps it was just as well judging by the sloppy manicure/pedicures my wife had received. A massage resulted in my wife sustaining an injury that prevented her from working for several days. When I called to inform Hiatus of the injury and other errors, I was subjected to verbal abuse and threatened by a gentleman who claimed to be the manager. I sought the owner, who seemed to find a great difficulty in returning calls. She also claimed that she had never heard of an injury arising from a massage (As you'll see from a review below, Hiatus acknowledge that injury is common). Professionalism simply does not exist at Hiatus, and unfortunately that is from top to bottom. If members are treated in this way, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

The massage therapist that I have seen at this location deserves a five star rating but the facility has gone downhill over the years. Though they have made more room in the waiting area it isn’t comfortable. The front staff used to take you back to the changing rooms. That doesn’t happen anymore and though I don’t need the help I hear the half effort given to new clients. Today there were two used robes and trash on the floor when I walked in the changing area. The locker I put my clothes and items in had a dial lock that wouldn’t turn. Therefore, I needed to change lockers. The locker floor tiles feel like they are shifting and the locker room bench doesn’t look clean. Disappointed with attention to detail as they grow their business. Again, the services provided by their long time employee are top notch along with Chachis helping address issues with my latest visit. I have had friends stop their membership. I may be next.

I have to agree with another review... the Manager at the front desk was so rude! I wanted to point out that I had a wonderful spa experience with Jess.? It was a wonderful "Rain Forest" effect and very soothing. However, I have to point out that when I arrived at the Dallas location I was frazzled as I was running late with all the traffic and when I walked in I was treated like a school girl and got scolded by one of the Managers for being late and she rushed be back into the room. This made me feel worse as I never like to be late for anything. I was already stressed and she was so rude. I almost walked out the door! The Manager had an unusual name that I do not recall. I think better training would be in order. I am not sure if I will return, even though my massage therapist was a sweetheart!!

I felt I was treated as a burden to my masseuse Laura . I even came early than my original appointment so she had a chance to fill another client in her books. She rushed me through talking to me about the service . Didn’t take the time to customize my service . Her touch was way to hard as I explained to her I don’t like deep massage. She was also trying very hard to downgrade my service to only an hour. I had to tell her multiple time I wanted the one I signed up for. On top of that her movements were so fast I couldn’t relax. It took almost my entire service to relax. I will definitely not want her as my masseuse again.

Overpriced for what you get. We arrived to our appt a few mins late and was rudely reminded by the front desk personnel that we were late and it would cut into our actual massage time. They cut both mine and my wife’s massage by 20 mins. My wife had a facial after our massages and they made offered no suggestions to wait in their lounge. Rather, they stated that I should come back or wait outside. With regards to the massage, I told the therapist that I had lower back issues and I got very little attention for my lower back. All in all, we were left with a over priced bill for an underwhelming experience.

I was looking for a day spa to get a facial and a massage. I selected Hiatus based on the reviews, prices, and services. I was very impressed with my experience. My esthetician was great! She listened to my concerns about my skin and what I’m looking to achieve long term. She asked about my current skincare routine and make a few suggestions but didn’t push any products on me. My facial was very relaxing and my skin still looks great a week later. My massage was just as relaxing. I had a lot of muscle tension and the masseuse was able to work a lot of them out. I left feeling so relaxed and refreshed.

I came in as a first time customer for the tailor-made facial it was absolutely amazing the entire experience from the moment you walk in, the atmosphere even the changing area for men with lockers products on the counter robes and slippers. The hot tea was absolutely delicious the person who performed my facial today was Sydney she was absolutely amazing asked me about my skin what I like but I didn’t like she was very soft-spoken very approachable very friendly and explained everything took her time. Absolutely exquisite I will be returning and also getting the membership preferably with Sydney.

For the knockout massage, I really didn't see the purpose of my therapist devoting a significant amount of time massaging my hands, feet and face when I said I wanted to focus on shoulders, neck and back. I was expecting a true, work out all the knots massage since I told him I sit a lot at work, and I'm sure as he felt around he could feel what was wrong. I feel like other therapists I've gone to still are able to work knots out with medium pressure. I left with the same tension. He was very sweet though. I usually only posts for places I love but I was just annoyed at how underwhelming this was.

I booked a facial here two weeks ago. On the day of, they called and said it was canceled due to the esthetician having a family emergency. I rescheduled for yesterday. Two hours before the facial they once again canceled on me and only had massage availability that day. When I mentioned this was the second time this has happened, they didn't have much to offer. I had heard good things about this spa, but I'm frustrated and will be looking elsewhere for a facial. UPDATE 1/3: The esthetician reached out to me personally to reschedule and I had an amazing facial with her and will be booking more.

A little pricey, but Alyssa and Sara ( at Dallas location) give the most amazing facials. I would recommend them to anyone. I have had some iffy facials from other employees though...they were still fair service but very cold interaction, and less warm and welcoming... Alyssa though... wow is all I can say. Massages: I've only had one but it was lovely. I am about to schedule another with them and I am VERY picky with massages. I need actual results from my money spent and not just a nice nap.. The mani-pedi was lovely but the actual paint job was pretty lame..

Everyone stop what you’re doing right now and get a facial with Brandy! This was the most relaxing facial of my life! Brandy is also very knowledgeable about skin care and set up a fantastic skin care routine for me. My favorite part is she didn’t oversell me on products and insisted I take samples home and try everything before I buy them. She made samples of everything for me and said she would call me in a few days to follow up. Incredible customer service. She really cares about her clients and I can’t wait to go back!

So I NEVER leave google reviews, I have to recognize this location for their outstanding service! I had my mani/pedi+ massage booked for 1/21. The masseuse called in that day & the mgr booked me for the very next day & gave me 15% off for the inconvenience! I fell in love. I wanted to sign up for a membership she also pitched to me just for that perk, but it’s currently out of my budget. If I can ever add a membership I will in the future bc she won me over with the offered 15% off! Thank you Hiatus!!!

I was checked in late for my appointment (arrived 20 early and waited in lounge area 15 min after appointment time) and the manicurist was notified late, therefore she had to rush and skip steps to not be late for the following appointment. They gave a discount, but I still missed the experience. Then, I purchased the performance polish upgrade for my hands and feet. Within two days, I had chipped polish on both hands and a foot. Within one week, all hand nails were chipped. A complete waste of money.

I came in for the dad bod special for Father’s Day. I was greeted by name upon arrival which made me feel special. Deja Parks was so amazing from start to finish. She greeted me while in the waiting area and explained the process as we were going through it. Deja answered all of my questions which gave me a better understanding of why I should schedule routine appointments. I left this location feeling free and rejuvenated. Thanks for making this an unforgettable experience!

I had a wonderful first time at Hiatus! All of the staff members were kind, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. My massage therapist, Stanecia, was attentive and continually asked how I was feeling throughout the massage to ensure that I was comfortable. Brandy is extremely knowledgeable about skincare. She answered the few questions that I had and recommended products for me to use based on my skin type. I will definitely be visiting Hiatus again!

Hello, So, I went one time in Hiatus on The Hill, and the first time was a great experience. Also, I joined a membership. Today (November 19, 2020), I tried to have an appointment, and guess what?! They don't have until December. But I already paid for the service. So it's soooo awful experience, and I really do not recommend to have a membership there. Therefore, I cancel my membership, and I am waiting for my money back.

Such a great spa in Dallas with a convenient location. It was my second time visiting and I’m obsessed. I booked the Optimist facial with Brandy after having such a great experience with her the first time. She is such an amazing & knowledgable esthetician. I love how she pays close attention to detail and is very thorough. I always leave feeling relaxed & rejuvenated. My skin literally glows! Highly recommend her.

Carol Zollicoffer is the absolute best. My skin is SO MUCH better with Carol in charge. When I first met her I was dealing with all kinds of ingrowns on my chin and my eyebrows were out of control. She fixed everything. I love her facials, and she is the only person that will ever wax me. I will go wherever Carol is -but Hiatus is also fantastic. So calming and serene. A great spa and a fantastic aesthetician.

My fiancé got me a package for a facial, massage and mani pedi. My absolute favorite service was the mani pedi. Loved being able to lay down during the service with an eye mask, blanket and headphones on. I left feeling SO relaxed. Love that they have a great selection of performance polishes too. Julie was absolutely wonderful. I will definitely be back and am now considering a membership. 10/10 experience.

Hiatus Spa is the best spa in Dallas. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The spa is so serene from the moment you walk in the door. Brandy provided the best facial I’ve ever had. She took to the time to get to know me, my skin and my concerns before my facial and made great recommendations throughout my facial. Already looking forward to my next facial and more services at Hiatus.

I haven’t been back in several years. The remodel is very attractive, relaxing, calming and inviting. The check-in and checkout process is much better than I remembered. As well as the front staff being very courteous and welcoming. My service was good, but not exactly as described. It was more or less an extended signature service versus, what the comeback details. I’ll try again another time.

I called in for a same day appointment. My whole order of services was not correct. I didn’t receive the specific facial I wanted. Every service I received, the worker had to go to the front to confirm pricing because my order was wrong from the beginning. The inconsistency messed up my relaxation. On top of that, I had no direction on what to do after my massage transition to facial.

I booked an appointment a week in advance and it somehow fell through the cracks or wasn’t confirmed. I even followed up in person to make sure my credit card was on file. Very disappointed at their lack of professionalism and organization. I called them multiple times and emailed to make sure the appointment was confirmed and couldn’t get through because they never pick up the phone.

I’ve been coming to this spa for about 8 years. I joined their monthly membership after trying them out in. Groupon campaign. Nearly all my services in that time have been amazing. And I’ve treated several friends and family to services as well. They always provide a relaxing clean spa experience. The service providers are well trained professionals. Plus Aveda just smells amazing.

I love this is place. It's affordable but very relaxing and feels luxurious. I signed up for the membership and I'm so glad I did. Wish I would have done it forever ago. I love their facials. I normally see Jenna and she's fabulous. I have seen such a change in my skin and always feel like I'm glowing when I leave. I love their peels and have seen great results. Highly recommend.

Satisfied customer. Signed up for their membership as I will be doing Dysport going forward. Very friendly staff. Allison did a great job on explaining Botox vs Dysport, as well as a great job on the administration. The ambience of the spa is super relaxing. I’m can’t wait to go back for more services and will look into skincare products they carry to achieve the results I want.

Perhaps good for massages, but hands down the worst gel mani I've ever had. Relaxation process during the mani was awesome. Nice and relaxed while checking out then on way home looked and tip of nails were not covered. Christina did a wonderful job with my message! It was my first time at this location and the staff was super helpful on where to find the bathroom and the lockers. I would defiantly go back! I had a regular gal back in Austin so it was hard to trust another spa, but I don’t regret choosing Hiatus! The price is about average for spas, also worth the service and facility.

Brandy has helped me plan and prep my skin with the best facials and services leading up to my wedding. My skin looks like porcelain. She's incredibly friendly and so educated on skincare. She explained in detail all of the services and how to get the most out of it after leaving the appointment. I will be coming back for more even after my wedding. Highly recommend!

I’m an H-circle member and can’t say enough great things about Hiatus. Especially the Inwood location. I see Kari regularly for acupuncture and Brandy is a phenomenal aesthetician! One of the best facials I’ve ever had. I feel like they offer a unique variety of alternative therapies and services and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxing. Highly recommend!

I have had many facials, but the one I got at Hiatus with Angie, takes the cake. Not only was it super relaxing, it was thorough, she cares and pays attention to your specific needs and is knowledgeable in regards to the products and techniques that work best for your skin. I never do reviews but today I cheated and went to another spa. Needless to say, I regret it. Julia did my facial a month ago and after comparing it to what I experienced today, I realized she is awesome and rare. I also realized that the experience that comes with this place is rare, they strive to have a peaceful/relaxing spa. I will be back.

By far the best massage & experience I have ever have. I had “The Signature” massage with Daniel who was truly amazing, maintained modesty, was attentive to pressure as I solely wanted a relaxing massage, & was so friendly all while maintaining a relaxing, peaceful environment. Hiatus is top of the line when it comes to amenities & experience!

I love hiatus, but especially love the lovers and hill location. I started going to hiatus at lovers and always had a lovely experience. I’ve recently fallen in love with the signature mani/pedi which is such a relaxing experience - antigravity chair, eye mask, meditative sounds and before you know it, I have different hands and feet!

As soon as I pulled up I already knew from the storefront that it was going to be amazing. Everyone was super friendly. Everything was well kept and super clean not to mention beautiful. I tried the fruit water as well as the hot herbal tea and I loved both. My massage was so relaxing I will be booking again and on a regular basis!

I saw carol today for a full leg and Brazilian wax. I’ve never felt more comfortable with any wax as I did with her. It was fast and easy as well and I’ll pay big bucks for that. you really can’t beat the membership rate for the waxing services either. Thank you carol for making this nervous girl feel very safe!

Brandy is amazing! I have never had my lashes tinted before and this was the first time I schedule with her for an eyebrow tint and eyelash tint. She was so kind and patient and walked me through the whole process and what to expect. The whole thing was seamless and easy. This hiatus location never disappoints!!

Best massage I’ve gotten in DFW. My neck has been tweaked for MONTHS. Feeling 10x better after ONE massage. Yea so obviously I’m a member now. shall be going back post haste. Thanks to Daniel for the great massage and for asking questions that allowed for my best experience and most pain relief.

Absolutely AMAZING! Knowledge, order and wonderful service. You can tell the service providers love what they do, and you can also tell that the service providers are well taken care of because they’ve been there for a long while. The facials are a wellness journey. It’s incredibly healing.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could I walked in to get a massage and the staff were being so rude and unprofessional. I also seen 3 roaches when I went to the bathroom and the staff were gossiping and talking about service providers. I do not recommend!

I have been seeing Brandy Box an aesthetician at the Hiatus location in Dallas off of Inwood Road. She gives facials that are hands-down the best w attention to detail and individualized to your skin- Wow !the relaxation is incredible. I highly recommend her
