Yesterday 7/28/18 i was shocked by what customer experience i had in this store. I love this store and many years once in a while i was purchasing stuff from this store. This time i spent nearly 2 hours and filled up my cart completely with all kind of stuff - once i have approached register the cashier seemed to be nice and while i was taking items from the card she was scanning them and putting them in PAPER BAGS and was putting them on the floor next to the register. The total came out roundly to $500. I have lifted all of the bags from the floor that i saw and put them to the cart to transport it to my car. I live around 40 min of drive from the store . Once i got home i decided to do audit of what i purchased and started to check mark pulling stuff from the bag with stuff listed on receipt. Once i have done i noticed that 30% of small item i have purchased are not in the bag and i realized that i some how left it in the store. I was deliberating if i should go back to the store or just eat it and forget whiting it off as my mistake. Few minutes after my friend came over and he wanted something from that store as well - we decided to go back in to the store. Once we arrived there was a different cashier but i still asked him if they saw my bag, he was nice and told him that he saw some bag but he doesn't know where it is and after asking other clerks for the bag they decided to call their manager - telling me that probably he knows and called him through intercom. I was waiting for nearly 5 minutes manager didn't come , they called him again and another 10 minutes passed - they noticed that i'm patiently waiting and called him again - manager didn't show any sign of existence. After few minutes more my patience ran out and i asked cashier nicely to where i should go look for him and cashier told me to go all the way to the back and his room is on the right behind the mirror glass. I went there - found the door and after knocking gently 3 times entered the door. I noticed the manager talking with some one on the phone, once he noticed me - he immediately started to scream at me to close the door and get out from this room. I was shocked but didn't answer back to him and walked out. I was standing outside of the office for 5 min and then this hostage of his position came out and with out excusing and asking why i'm there -decided to continue his path and gave me a lecture that he is a big boss and that he dont know where my stuff at and that he dont even want to help me . He told me that if i left stuff - it considered to be no longer mine - Told me that he will not look in the cameras and told me to get lost. I was very shocked by his managerial behavior and gave him few F*** words, he returned me this words out loud as well in front of all customers who were shopping. He called security and asked to escort me out of the building. I cold not leave it as is and decided to call for police. Police came with in 20 minutes and i have told them what happened, they told me to stay outside and went inside. In 5 minutes they came out with PLASTIC BAG with all of my stuff that were missing. Notice - PLASTIC BAG - NOT PAPER BAG in which they originally put my stuff in and that is after that that manager didn't even see my receipt where i marked missing items. You decide what criminal scheme this manager has together with some cashiers , because he didn't help me as a manger as he supposed to - he was talking to me like im the guy who came to claim what already belongs to him and he was defending his prey. ALL OF THE PEOPLE SHOOING IN THIS PARTICULAR STORE - WATCH carefully that clerk putting your stuff in the bag and then straight in your cart and not behind cashier table. especially people who buy a lot of stuff. After getting home and reviewing my receipt I noticed few more charges that no one even asked me that i want it - They charged me for 2 years warranty on some items and membership fee .

We went to this place change back a item, heavy traffic on the highway ,we was there before closing few minutes front of my face close the door before 7pm...I called the manager who hang off the phone on me , after arguing 15 minits by the entrance, I said under this 15 min we could be already done with this change item sorry...but no flexibility no helping...nothing....so next day back, what we wanted item they say not have...so again 1,5 hour driving for nothing...we call the next store in Bronx where they said the Brooklyn store have 7 piece from this item what I looking for...wich employee this there?how treat the customers?this is a shame...for this store and the company too...lazy people who spend just time there but dont care about the business...congratulations for the managment...on the ironic way..

PRODUCTS: They may not have elite class tools like Snapon, Makita etc, but they certainly have vast verities of tools especially for automotive applications. They also have a vast range of hardware and some construction tools. It's a one stop shop when you sre running out of time on your projects or day. I have purchased some impact ready socket, extension and adaptors sets, so far no issues. Even though they offer some mediocre quality tools, I never purchased those. CONVENIENCE: besides busy streets of Brooklyn, its parking lot is a great convenience and for last 12+ years I always found parking spots. However I wish for longer hours, their business hours are fair enough. There is almost no assistance on the floor. SERVICE: Cashiers/ associates are okay and not the most friendly.

Overpriced junk you can buy from Amazon or EBay for half their price. Phony advertisements and sales events, 20% restocking charge for returns, almost nonexistent warranty. 95% of the stuff I ever bought from this place have fallen apart after short hobby use. A lot of their tools are not safe for use due to very low quality. I can't understand why people still buy from this store?? It's not cheap at all, it's only selling the cheapest made and crappiest tools for close to the price of reputable brands. Do yourself a favor and buy online, don't waste your money at Harbor Freight. After buying from them and tossing in the trash what you bought, you'll still go elsewhere to spend your money once again for the same thing but better quality.

Great deals. Some of the tools are inexpensive but decent tools. Some though, are cheap tools and it is better to go with a brand name from the start. Spend the money up front and avoid replacing an inferior product only to spend the same amount in the long run. That said, this is a good place for tool shopping. The biggest drawbacks at bv this location are that the staff is minimal. They are helpful, but if it happens to be busy, there may be nobody to readily answer questions or help locate an item. The only other problem I have here is that the cashing out process takes forever!! No matter which employee, the process seems very slow here

6/1/2023 The store staffs are not helping with the pre order customer, I was on the line when I got to the cashier the cashier told me to wait in the spot, I was waiting and not getting assistance, when I was there I talked to the another coworker the manager of the store Henry he put me to go back the line again for just don’t want to help me get the pre order item, and I don’t get the fair treatment in this location please have a person in charged from Brooklyn Hamilton harbor freight contact me, it’s not acceptable when you have the staff purposely fooling the loyal customer. I need some one in charged contact me.

Yo this is my favorite store to come to and the people here are very very polite to you and help you with things so today on August 22,2022 I bought a vacuum and as i was leaving I saw A Caucasian male with a camouflage bookbag that's red taking 2 items 1 is in his hand one in his and you can slightly see it open he most definitely didnt pay anything he went out the other sliding door I notified someone inside I hope they get him .. he left out of there smoothly but if i still had my security guard license he would have had to put everything back .. it won't be a regular at this store .

I never shopped at Harbor Freight because I believe in the "buy once, cry once" mentality when it comes to buying tools. That is to say, I'd rather spend a bit more on a higher quality product that will perform and last a long time. However, despite the low cost, there are actually some pretty great items here. I purchased 2 types of workbenches with drawers, one wood and one metal. Both feel like they are of reasonably high quality, with the wooden being especially impressive at its sub-$200 pricetag. I can't vouch for the smaller tools here, but my experience has been pretty good so far.

I am a regular harbor freight customer and also have an account with them but I am not happy that I called the store to inform them that I was in route to the store when I was delayed due to traffic, but managed to arrive at 759pm and they did not let me in to purchase a tool that I needed in an emergency. When I arrived there were customers still shopping. If the door closes at 8pm it means 8pm not 759pm. I am very disappointed with the way my situation was handled and strongly believe that the employees of this Brooklyn store could have done better to resolve the problem.

Everything is pretty much organized. The reason for me rating today is to show my appreciation to the help i received. For the most part, the aisles are labelled well, however you may need additional help. The 1st to help was Naomi, even tho she was busy, she took a moment to answer my question. The 2nd person to help me was Devon. Devon did jot flinch or hesitate to help and i needed a couple of items. Also, very conversational in some of the adaptors i needed to use the item...specifically it was an air compressor. Thank you for all your help

Today I was buying some tools and also looking around finally I stop a tools section there where two guys organising it one of the guys tells me that that section was close and I say I know am just looking and the guys spoke back saying I hate this guy so anointing and I ask excuse me the guy did not say anything Iso after that when to pay for my stuff and go out this tipe of things should not be saying especially coming from a manager because I know he is one mgt of that store hes name is John the store is on Hamilton 435 broklyn

Horrible customer service. The only person on the sales floor did not want to be bothered. Could not find anyone to help. Purchased some automotive tools needed to remove lugs and when I arrived back at my car realized I needed additional tools to remove the tools, I just bought from their packaging. Why do they make it so difficult? Most of the tools I purchased are locked into their packaging and need bolt cutters to free them. Couldn't free the tools so I called a tow truck to have my car towed to a tire shop for repairs.

Want to talk about CLEAN ?!? This place is absolutely immaculate! Close to home , a go to stop for the tools I need around my apartment. As a single Mom to a 4.5 year old daughter I couldn't appreciate it anymore than I already do : any questions I have which are definitely alot lol ; someone is always there with a quick & VERY helpful answer as well as advice & has given me soooo many recommendations for home improvement job's! Highly recommend this : price point is fantastic !

Be warned if you're making an EXCHANGE for a defective product (Not a refund, AN EXCHANGE) they will refuse to do so without a receipt, because apparently this company can't look up purchases by your card?? Manager would not accept a bank statement clearly showing the sale from their store either?? This was for a product that they are the sole distributor of. They have zero flexibility on their policy to come ready with your paper receipt. Way to lose my business to Ace Hardware forever.

Ive always wanted to check it out and one day I had a few minutes to stroll up and down the aisles. Great prices for tools and supplies. I dont know if they are the best quality tools but ive been able to try out new tools that I didnt want to spend a ton of money for. There are loads of comparison videos on youtube to help guide you. But if youve never used a rotary tool or hammer drill you can buy one here without breaking the bank.

Called in to check if they have a 1.5 ton aluminum jack in stock before I make the 40 minute drive to pick it up. Lady that picked up was having a conversation with her coworker irrelevant to service, and immediately told me they have it in stock. I go to the store and they "sold out". You only had one job, lady. One job. That job isn't wasting people's time. Supervisors, you only have one job as well, and you also failed.

Returned two jack stands that were recalled, got gift card for the stands, there was no replacement. Also was looking for laminate install kit, of course they didn't have any or the tool it self. Manager not very helpful and the staff not friendly. Better off shopping online and delivered. That is what is happening to some brick and mortar stores they act as if they are doing you a favor assisting you spend your money.

Used to be a very competitively priced place however lately it became overpriced based on my experiences specifically in the purchase of vacuums. Harbor Freight sells them for $100 while Home Depot sells them for $50. Brand sold by Home Depot is rigid brand sold by Harbor Freight is something of Their Own. Customer service is almost non-existent. Customers wandering around the store looking for help and assistance.

Nice place to get cheap tools in Brooklyn. Make sure you don't get the guy cashier, he's grimey. I made a purchase and used my free coupon for a flashlight. He threw away my coupon , set the flashlight aside, rang up my other items and didn't even give me the flashlight. It's like he's paid based on the money Harbor Freight makes, so the less free items they give out the more money in his pocket.

Visited today to review tool selections for a live edge table project. The staff was kind enough to point me in the right direction and provide some tips for alternative tool sets. It was my first visit in five years and I was quite pleased to see the place thriving and fully stocked. The dedication of a space to woodworking projects was also nice to experience. Looking forward to my next visit.

Any place brainless enough to set up shop right next to competition (Lowe's) and sell wildly overpriced & inferior merch than their competition deserves to go out of business. Sometimes I stop in and I instantly regret it and feel like my time has been wasted. Plenty of YouTube comparison videos validating their power tools are absolute garbage too. Too bad there are no negative stars to give.

I've been to a few Harbor freight stores, this one has the best customer service. I believe management was changed and it's for the better. I can ask a CSR and they would make a positive gesture of actually trying to help me. When it comes to stock, it'll be like other stores where if you're not the club, you'll get second dibs on sales and by then, most of the got items are sold out.

Great prices on cheap tools and lots of other useful things. This isn't the place to buy finely crafted, quality tools, it's the place to buy something that will get the job done for a fraction of the cost. And some items are still good quality. You have to know what to buy here, and what's worth spending more on quality tools somewhere else. But for what it is, this place is awesome.

This place is good if your looking for a tool that you might only use once and its apparent when you look at the tools in person. The quality to have a long lasting tool is not there for certain items. But if your looking for Hammers and Pry bars for the best price this is your place. Also there is often a line because there are not enough cashiers. Good tools for the price.

The female manager who was unfortunately on her way out was very sweet, courteous & professional. Unfortunately the gentleman - if we can call him that - that probably took over for her needs to go quick. He does not know how to be in the service and retail industry. decent selection of tools (except the brittle wrenches and the precision tools that lack precision). I got some car jack stands and a sheet rock lift from there, not terrible quality, did the job, albeit barely. Two of 8 wrenches I bought snapped first day. The torque wrench not for precision work. staff was very helpful. Corporate heads on the other hand, sad creatures.

Spent in store more than 2 hours. I found so many quality things to buy. But bought a few things. They got many quality items in the store which I don't see any other places at that price. Also many coupon discount! Love it. Will definitely go there again if I need something they got. If you download the Harbor Freight coupon app, it's easier to apply at checkout.

This associate found out that another associate added my name and membership to someone else in South Carolina as well as someone in California. That person needs to push a sh!t cart. i bought a drill press on the web and it was defective, went to the store to exchange. The register woman rachel, was helpful - had me to grab another one and before i could even say i want to check it before i leave - she opened it. the manager comes over and both were were super helpful despite not finding one that ddint have the issue. super good workers!

The bright and clean store is fully stocked with everything you need to do any construction or automotive project. Their sales are terrific. The staff is courteous and very helpful. All products are carefully displayed and accessable. Stop by and stock up on tools.

Reasonable prices.... Have most of what you need from welders, calipers, hammers, drills to auto and your daily hardware tools. In the back is where they sell the big stuff like big Sanders lathe power tools mini drill press and time savers... They don't sell paint products which I wish they had but Lowes is right around the corner they do have brushes...

Great store for tools but unfortunately the staff is not helpful or knowledgeable about the products. The staff is the most ghetto/rude ass people as they come. They must not make very much. Bang for your buck. Tools are good for when you're in a pinch. I haven't had any tools break yet and seem pretty durable but I'm no mechanic. They do have a nice selection. Some of their tools are a bit chalky made so I would be wary of buying impact guns and post tools but the hand tools are great!

Harbor Freight is very good for what it does. It is a discount tool store. Don't look for professional equipment or your "forever"tools, and know what you want before you go. There are no experts on staff. They are there to provide inexpensive tools that aren't really meant to last.

Horrible customer service at this branch. Great franchise, great prices. Online stocks are not reliable, Waited for an hour for them to look for something in the basement that was on the shelf. Would be nice to check the shelf first. Or at least tell me where to look.

They seemed to have a good selection of tools and similar items. I specifically went to get moving blankets, so I didn't do a lot of other shopping. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. They also have their own parking lot, which is a big plus for me.

I am always a happy shopper at Harbor Freight. They buy directly from the manufacturer. With no middle man in between, their prices are always very good. I left with four small items. One is free; the most expensive one is at 20% discount. The total bill was $9.44.

They have what you want on display but they don't have it for you to purchase. It's very annoying, came with my boyfriend and his friends to buy a pulley or something similar to lift up an engine but all they had on display wasn't there to purchase. Very annoying.

Very helpful staff made it easier for me to locate my requirement. Breezed in and was out the door within a few minutes. Prefer this store for all tools over the bigger ones like Home Depot and Lowes where crowds are larger and lines are longer at registers.

Bought a Pittsburgh floor jack it's a nice jack, I couldn't find a 10mm 3/8 deep socket, had to wait for a while to get a shopping cart from someone who done using, as none was available, I see only four carts.

I'm using this company for over 25 years on catalogs before they open stores. All my tools from them. The quality not bad at all. The prices are not competitive. At Home Depot some items 3 or 4 times higher.
