My very first time of working with Harling's Jeweler's was back in 2004. They helped me create a new design for my original wedding and engagement bands. They did a spectacular job along with wonderful service. Fast forward to this past April, 2023. I had lost that beautiful ring that they created and I had to make a claim for a replacement through my insurance. They were so quick in responding to our initial email reaching out to them about meeting up with them once again to help us find a new ring to replace our lost one. Because we had all the paperwork of Authentication from our ring back in 2004, it was a very easy process to find a new ring. As soon as we made a date to meet, we were welcomed with warm greetings as well as being offered a beverage, a glass of wine or other choices. That was very impressive. They made us feel right at home. they showed me many beautiful rings. It was hard to choose from at first. I found a ring online that I really liked and sent it to Chris to ask him if it's possible to duplicate. No problem. He responded so fast and was excited to be able to have his goldsmith create the ring that I had fallen in love with. They were so good at communicating the process and how long it was going to take. When we asked if it could be done sooner as we were leaving for holidays, they right away put a rush on it and was able to have it completed in time. Chris and his staff are exceptional to deal with and I would recommend this jewellers to any of my friends or anyone looking for a good jeweller. Their work is outstanding. I am not one who usually writes reviews, but I have dealt with Harling’s Jewelers and specifically Paolo Diligenti on numerous occasions, and am motivated to actually comment now, because I am such a fan of both the company and Paolo. I have done both insurance claims and new pieces of jewelry with Paolo. Every time we have worked together, he has been so nice and helpful and really gone above and beyond. He really worked to educate me on how diamonds are rated etc without being dry or boring, but to ensure I was a knowledgeable consumer. He spent the time to bring in numerous diamond options, not minding when I changed my mind on criteria and he had to start the process all over again. He helped me tweak the design of new pieces of jewelry to ensure I was 100% happy, and really worked with me to help me get exactly what I wanted out of piece of jewelry while best utilizing my budget. Paolo even came to my house numerous times when I had an insurance claim on my wedding ring, but also had a new born baby making it hard to get out of the house. While I have primarily dealt with Paolo, every time I am there everyone is so nice and friendly. It is a relaxed helpful environment, no one is even remotely pushy or “salesy”. You feel like you are working together on a project or purchase, not that you are just a costumer with a dollar sign above your head. I have referred co-workers, family members and friends (again not something I normally do unless I am truly blown away by the entire experience) and they are all now happy repeat costumers amazed by quality, value and customer service at Harling's.

Paolo at Harlings Jewellers is not only a fantastic asset to the company but an incredibly humble and understanding guy, a fantastic person to be around. It was an absolute pleasure and I have nothing but great things to say about my experience. Paolo guided me throughout the whole process of designing an engagement ring from scratch over many months of visits. He used his position and experience to guide me on areas that I was not knowledgeable on and with great success. The design, payment, wax mold and final product went as smoothly as you could have wished with no hiccups whatsoever. Finer details where never overlooked, especially regarding my fiance's metal allergies. Paolo always had time no matter when i emailed or called. Any preconceived stress i thought i would have during the process of finding a jewelers, designing a ring in a specific time-frame and making sure it is perfect went out the window once i visited Harlings i knew i was in great hands. Staff are warm and welcoming and all have friendly demeanor's. I cannot recommend Harlings enough, we are thinking that we may be back for our wedding bands, because why look else where if this place locked down the engagement ring so well! If you need a ring designed from scratch Harlings is your jewelers and Paolo is your man. I'd give this 6 stars if i could. Very high level of customer service and professionalism. There aren't enough positive words to accurately portray my experience with Harling' Jewellers BC, in particular with Paolo. My situation was a bit unique. My, now, husband and I had planned to get married in 2021, however life had other plans. My husband was diagnosed with end stage kidney failure in early 2019, and required a transplant, and this inevitably led us to question why we were waiting to get married. I was in touch with Paolo who worked with me over text message (as I do not live in Vancouver) to pick out and perfectly size a beautiful wedding band for my spouse. We chose a beauty Tacori band, completed the transaction from afar, and finally picked up the band yesterday! Paolo was patient, knowledgeable and most of all understanding of my unique situation. He helped me rationally choose the best ring for the best price. It wasn't about making a sale with Paolo. He checked in to see how my partner was doing, sent us well wishes prior to our surgeries, and followed up to ensure we were okay after; he didn't have to do that, sale was complete (and my partner and I already married prior to picking up the ring!) If you want an experience which is truly focused on you and your needs, I highly recommend Harling's Jewellers! As I had the pleasure of working with Paolo, I can only attest to how wonderful he is, and he is just that - gets to know you, and shares his wealth of knowledge in regards to the products. Last spring when I decided to propose to my girlfriend at the time, I was working out of town, and I came across a Tacori engagement ring that I really liked. Thinking it would be better that I purchase the ring in Vancouver, I did some research and found Harling's, which had a Tacori loft and also good reviews. So I checked it out and Paolo was the one who helped me. He found the ring I was looking for and guided me through how to pick the right diamond for it. I also shopped around at other stores just to compare but at the end, I was set on the Tacori ring and Paolo had been really helpful, so I decided to purchase it from Harling's. Under the guise of watching soccer with a few of my buddies, I sneaked out of the house and got the ring. Timing couldn't have been better as I purchased the ring when Tacori had a promotion, which gave me a credit towards the future purchase of wedding bands. A year after my proposal, I brought my now fiance to Harling's and introduced her to Paolo, who offered his congratulations and was really happy for us. With Paolo's help, we found our beautiful wedding bands. And just as luck would have it, there was another promotion that entitled us to a Tacori's travel voucher, which we are really excited to use towards our honeymoon. 2019 was a year of significant change in the lives of both my wife and I. For the past year I have been living with end stage renal disease and the challenges that come with it. To start 2020, my wife saved my life via organ donation. The gift of life can’t be measured by material objects, but when it comes to such significant life events, she deserved the best I could give her. I first started speaking to Paolo, my Design Consultant at Harling’s in mid 2019. I do not live in Vancouver but it didn’t matter. Paolo was immediately available for all my questions and queries and was exceptional during the process of finding the perfect Tacori ring for my (now) wife. For almost a year he supported me with his knowledge and expertise. He was completely understanding of my circumstances and even took the time to check in with both my wife and I prior to, and after our surgeries. This is indicative of his character – a true gentleman; professional, informative, and genuine. From day one he was patient, never pushy, never looking for a quick sale – he was invested in us and our story. We will be customers for life and I will always look to speak to Paolo for any future jewelry needs. When we look at our rings, my wife and I not only remember the highs and lows of the past year, we are also reminded of the wonderful people we’ve met on our journey. The first visit I had at Harling’s was with Paolo, I was there to resize my Tacori ring, he greeted me with a warm smile, offered me refreshments and made me feel like an absolute princess. He did one quick assessment of my finger and he was able to get the right size with one try! That was quite impressive, he made me feel like I was in good hands. At the same time as offering me refreshments, he offered to also have my Tacori engagement ring cleaned, this instantly put a smile on my face. I saw Paolo again to pick out my wedding bands, again a warm smile, greeted specially I felt like we knew each other for years. I felt like I could truly trust him. He patiently helped me look through the bands and gave me professional opinions about which bands would look best with my engagement ring. When I had chosen the ring I wanted he made me feel like I made the right choice and yet again was able to size the ring perfectly! I cannot even begin to describe how amazing my experience was with Peter at Harling's Jewellers. Peter took a very sad and stressful situation (lost engagenment ring), and turned it into one of the best service experiences I've had. I was so nervous replacing the ring with a jeweller that was not close (I live in the Okanagan), and I was so stressed that I would not receive the exact ring (style, quality, etc) that I lost. Peter was patient and empathetic through the entire process. He answered all my questions in a timely manner (I had a lot of silly questions!), and he never made me feel like I was being a bother. He was knowledgeable about the insurance claim process, which helped ease some of the stress. When it came time to order my ring, Peter did so right away to help ensure that I would have my ring in time for my wedding day. Harling's shipped the ring overnight (they were great with communicating regarding the shipping process), and when it arrived I fell in love all over again with my ring - it was absolutely perfect! Working with the team at Harling's was an incredible experience! They have a great selection of rings to choose from, but when I wanted a custom engagement ring, Chris and Peter worked with me to design something that not only looked beautiful, but also fit within my budget. I went in to the market for an engagement ring like any other person, expecting to check out a few local jewellers and find the right price and the ring my princess deserves. I had an awesome experience at Harlings Jewellery. From the very beginning the customer service was beyond my expectations. When I came in, I had no idea what I was looking for; I just wanted to find a wedding band that my fiancé would love. As someone that came in with zero knowledge about diamonds and purchasing jewelry in general, I was pretty nervous to start this process. Thankfully, Peter at Harlings made the process quite simple and eased my worries. He quickly found a diamond that would work with my budget, while also explaining the technical sides of diamond purchasing in a relatable manner, such as the difference between lab and mined diamonds. The only information that I had was that my fiancee liked oval shaped diamonds and yellow gold as a band colour. Peter was able to take this information and craft a beautiful ring. We were also able to come under what I had initially budgeted, which is a big plus. I wasn’t able to provide peter with a proper size, but peter assured me that each purchase comes with a free sizing. After I had proposed we came in and had her finger properly sized, and now it fits perfectly. I would recommend Harlings to anyone that is beginning to look for an engagement ring as it was simple and affordable, and came with great, personal customer service.

After 15 years of marriage, it was definitely time for me to take the plunge and buy a nice piece of jewelry for my wife. Because my wife's birthday is in July, I was looking for something with a ruby. After some on-line searching, Harling's came up and it looked like they carried a piece that would be perfect. I reached out to them and very quickly I was contacted by Paolo and we set up a meeting time at their downtown Vancouver store. The store, itself, was very elegant and Paolo was a professional. As it turned out, they did not have the ring I was looking for in stock, but Paolo suggested an alternative - changing a beautiful ring that had a large sapphire, over to a ruby. After assuring me, that the work would be done by experienced artists and that it would look perfect, we did the deal. The work took a week and when I saw the completed product, I was blown away - and so was my wife when I gave it to her! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience at Harling's in Vancouver in December 2014. My fiancee and I recently purchased wedding rings and we definitely came to the right place. The selection and quality of offerings was remarkable. It was also a really nice atmosphere to shop in. The displays are beautiful and the store has a really warm and inviting feeling. He worked within my budget and even offered suggestions on the design of my ring , which was a huge help . I brought in my engagement ring and my mother’s engagement and wedding ring to Harling jewellers to be designed into a new engagement ring and wedding band with all the stones combined . I wanted to use all the stones to create a unique wedding ring and band for my own wedding doing so in a way to honour my family . Peter is exceptional at his job . Our insurance adjuster recently referred us to Harling’s Jewellers to obtain a quote for replacement of a diamond that I had lost from my wedding ring set. I was devastated that the ring I had worn every day for 33 years was gone, but during my initial telephone conversation with owner Chris Battensby I was assured that I would have a ring before long that would be just as beautiful as the one I had lost. I appreciated Chris's empathetic nature and attention to detail which effortlessly put my mind at ease. I had a wonderful experience visiting Harling's jewellers, my sales associate was Peter Smith who was very professional, knowledgeable, and provided excellent service. With Peter's assistance, I was able to purchase the perfect engagement ring which was marvelled by all those who saw it. He gave me a ton of options and I really appreciated the personalized touch as he was very prompt answering any questions I had and was very clear during communication. I cannot stress enough how fantastic our experience was with Peter at Harling's! I had unfortunately lost my wedding rings (purchased elsewhere years ago) and was looking to replace at least my engagement ring. Was very straightforward to make an appointment when I was back in town, very good response of emails from the entire team. I was recommended Harlings by a friend. I have had a few experiences with them since. From resizing rings to creating a new original piece from a Tahitian black pearl and most recently receiving my engagement ring, I have always had great outcomes. I have mainly dealt with Christian who is awesome! But everyone I have encountered at Harlings has always welcomed me with warm smiles and willingness to help. It really does seem like a family there. My experiences with Harling’s have been nothing but positive. My fiancé and I worked with Paolo specifically to create a custom Tacori engagement ring and the process was extremely pleasant and easy. This initial experience was so enjoyable that we had no hesitation in coming straight back to Paolo when it came time to purchase our wedding bands. My engagement ring was lost over the summer and I had to have it replaced. Our insurance adjuster suggested Harling's as the jeweler to deal with as the stone in my ring was from a family ring and not an easy cut to find. I could not be happier with the result. We dealt with Paolo Diligenti and he made a very sad experience much easier. He sourced a diamond almost identical to the one I lost, ensured that my ring looked as close to the original as possible, had my band re-sized and refurbished to match the engagement ring, kept us up to date on where in the process we were and generally provided service above the norm. I could not be happier with my experience and have already recommended to friends that they consider Harling's for future jewelry purchases.

It was our ten year anniversary and I wanted to get something special for my wife. I purchased her engagement ring and wedding band 10 years earlier when there was a location in Victoria. I don't live in Vancouver, so I contacted Harling's and spoke with Chris. He was impressively helpful and attentive. I recently lost the diamond from my 32 year old engagement ring, mostly through my own neglect. Needless to say, I (we) were devastated and with only an original invoice to go on with little information regarding the diamond were concerned that the replacement would be of a much lesser quality. As soon as I talked to Paolo I felt comfortable about putting our trust in him to find the best possible replacement and to take care of the repair work. Paolo is a great communicator and kept us updated on each part of the process. He was thorough, reliable, professional, caring and friendly with a very positive attitude and I can’t thank him, and Harling’s Jewelers, enough for helping us through a difficult ordeal. My ring is beautiful again.

Harling's has an incredibly beautiful showroom, which can come off as a bit overwhelming to people without much experience with jewelry such as myself. Fortunately, their staff are very friendly and professional to meet your needs. I had a great experience with Paolo, first purchasing an engagement ring and later a wedding band. He did an excellent job narrowing down some options, and providing some ideas about what can be possible with a custom ring produced by their goldsmith. I'd definitely recommend giving Harling's a visit if you're in the market for a big ring purchase. I visited the main Tacori stores in the lower mainland but Harlings was by far the easiest to deal with and had the best selection! I walked in one day and Karen was extremely friendly and helpful for someone that was just starting to look. I returned after several months when I was able to decide on style/diamond and she remembered me and was very helpful again! After getting engaged, we dealt with Paolo for our wedding bands and the process went by extremely smooth! He did not pressure us at any point and his product knowledge towards the different styles is exceptional. Harling Jewellers gave my husband and I 5 star service. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, patient (as I looked at many many rings), hospitable (they offered us wine and other beverages during out shopping time at the store), knowledgable about diamonds, and they created the duplicate ring that I showed them from a picture I saw on the internet. Not only was it created by their goldsmith, they also put a rush on it so I could have the ring before I was leaving for vacation. They gave me excellent service from start to finish. This jeweler is the best in town. They carry a wide selection of well known brands and designers. Harling's is serious about their jewelry and only carry quality products. This should put your mind at ease when you're spending money on jewelry since there is no way you will end up with an inferior product if you buy from them. The service at this store is also very consistent and reliable. The sales reps are always attentive but not pushy. They also give great advice on style and are knowledgeable about gemstones and materials. We have been to the store multiples times and have always come away satisfied with our purchases and the service we received from Harling's. 5 stars!

Harling’s is an amazing jewellery shop!!! Super professional, beautiful show room, and just a great experience being in there. I got my ring custom designed and made through Paolo Diligenti, we actually did everything via text as I live five hours north of Vancouver. He helped me make the most beautiful ring to propose to my beautiful lady. I could not be happier with the way it turned out, Paolo was not only very supportive in my ideas but had great input to put this whole thing together. He even followed up with me weeks later to see how I was going to do it and wish me the best of luck. Thank you Harlings and Paolo for making my dreams come true! PS...she Obvs said yes!!

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Harling's. I worked with Christian to fabricate my fiance's ring. As someone with no previous experience/knowledge and a relatively modest budget, Harling's was exceptional to work with. Christian made sure, not only that I had heard all the information necessary to make such a large purchase with confidence, but that I understood it. He instilled confidence throughout the entire process from consultation, through to fabrication and pickup. We will absolutely be back for wedding bands, and I will be recommending Christian and the Harling's team to everyone I know going through the process in the future.

I did about six months of research before purchasing an engagement ring from Harlings Jewelry. I looked at numerous stores online and other local diamond stores around Vancouver. After meeting with Peter I knew right then and there I would be purchasing a ring from him. Peter worked within my budget and got me the very best bang for my buck! Peter answered all my questions, showed me multiple diamonds, sent me many different rendering of the engagement ring, even scheduled a meeting with the actual guy making the ring. After a friend told me how great Harling’s was to her, I decided to have my engagement ring repaired and re-appraised by them. My fiancé and I visited Harling’s during a trip from Nova Scotia. The boutique is bright, welcoming and the staff are friendly. Lovely selection of everyday wearable pieces. I was looking for a pair of larger gold hoops and I found a pair that are lightweight and very comfortable. Harling’s is worth a stop in if you need service or are looking for a new stylish piece. We had a piece of terribly tangled jewelry and it was very frustrating. They were patient and managed to untangle it for us as well. I forget the name of the gentleman that helped us but he made our day! We will definitely be back next trip to Vancouver.

I love this place!! Paolo.... is amazing. We went for our first time about 4 years ago to look looked at Tacori engagement rings there. I had an amazing experience with my recent order. I had placed my order online and was contacted the next day by Parisa to let me know the delivery time could be over a month since the item was not in stock. I needed the item sooner so she took the time to send me multiple suggestions of other styles that were in stock. Her service was quick and the communication was clear. A colleague recommended Harling’s after I lost a very precious antique earring and wanted to get it replaced to complete the pair. Christian was so fantastic in guiding me through the replacement process. He was upfront with pricing and very responsive. I trusted him immediately. Christian did a phenomenal job selecting a new diamond - no small feat as the earrings were made in the 1930s and had old European diamonds. Peter made the experience very easy and efficient. Very good for people who are busy. He shows you a bunch of settings to direct you down to one you like. He then asks about diamond shape/quality and brings a few in that would meet your budget range. If you don't like them, get another round. Again, directing you to something you like. By the end of it, you've selected everything about your engagement ring. This entire experience took less than 4 weeks from start to finish and even with a shipping error, he managed to get the completed ring to me on time for the engagement.

Harling's has the best jewelry and people a girl could ask for! Whatever you are looking for, I promise you they have it.
