I am very disappointed today with this Harris Teeter. I have been a customer at the location since 2008. I have always felt welcomed and appreciated. I frequent this Harris Teeter so much, that almost every employee knows me and my daughter. Many of the employees have seen my daughter grow up. I felt that this Harris Teeter was part of my daily life. I own a retail store in the same shopping center, so I would grab lunch and dinner items there. Today I wanted to return/exchange a pre-packed salad that I purchased the day before. When I opened the salad container, I noticed that the dressing packet was open. I never thought there would be an issue with a return/exchange without a receipt because I NEVER needed a receipt to return/exchange items before. I would give the employee my VIC # to verify that I did purchase the item. It has never been an issue. However, today Teel-la was at Customer Service. I have never seen Teel-la before and assumed she was new to the store. I explained the situation for the return. She asked for a receipt. I told her I didn't have it and could she look under my VIC # to verify I purchased the salad there. She quickly said NO and that I needed a receipt. I was confused since I never had this happen to me before. I asked to speak with the manager. The manager, Amy, came to speak with me. I also have never seen her before. She said the same thing. I understand that rules change; however, Amy's tone, demeanor, and lack of customer service were shocking. I left very disappointedly because I did not feel like a valued customer. If anything, Tee-la and Amy made me feel like I was a criminal for trying to exchange/return a salad without a receipt. Amy also told me that it was a new policy being enforced by the store manager. I don't know who the store manager is, but Harris Teeter should not treat a loyal customer this way. I supported this store almost daily and it took less than 2 mins for two employees who did not put the customer first, to make me not want to go back.

Darren webber, not trying to be sexist, but it figures u r a man,so u grab the 1st thing u see instead of doing real comparison. Tom milk at harris teeter will be $2.57. Really u can buy milk for cheaper elsewhere? Last wk was triple coupon wk,we got 12 progresso soups for free&r getting money back for buying those,we got 2boxes of stand&stuff soft taco shels for free,6 taco&fahita seaonings for free,2 enchilada cooking sauces for free,14 yogurts for a total of $2.70cents,2finish dishwasher detergent for free,2 dishwasher cleaners for free,a whole lot of duncan&betty crocker frosting for free, morning star vegetarian foods for $2.00 each,2 loafs of bread for free,2 freshtake mixes for free, poptarts for 19cents each,8 hamburger helper for 22cents a box, general mills honey nut cherio was on sale w. O coupon for $1.97, w coupon cause of tripple weeks it was 47cents,kashi&cascade farm cereal w coupon was 70cents. We would have got a box of zebra pens&a package of jenny o turkey sausage for free, but it was already sold out. When they had their grandoppening I got 6pks of 16 oz coke products for $1.60 a pk,later when they had their buy2,get3free,I got same 6pk for 1.80&tomorrow its on sale for $2.00&like I said milk is $2.57,so wish store did u say can beat above prices? I would have saved more if I was a college student&qualified for additional college discounts. I didn't even mention steak&cupcakes&ice cream to sample. A few of the items I mentiond incl free stuff will give me money bk. U may need to take a lady with u next time, sorry some things ladys r better at,but if u do have a store that beats those prices, pls let me know the name. Guys r better at some things,so u r better in some areas, just doesn't seem to be saving money&still getting what u need. Haven't been to this particular location, but been to 2 others and both were amazing.

I just recently visited the location uptown..the smallest of the Harris Teeters just went for a sub..the gentlemen was there by himself and the line was quite long however I was expecting him to be a lil agitated because he looked to be already making sandwiches for what I could guess online cust. and my order didn't flow with the line behind me ..Ok I asked for a footling turkey sandwich easy right? Not with me..let me explain I don't eat pork and so as I was watching him make other sandwiches they had pork on them so as soon as I was next I asked him to please change his gloves..no problem ..then I asked for honey turkey on my sandwich instead of the standard I guess roasted turkey..mind u he is the only one there...no problem now it's about 5 cust behind me at this point ..I say all this to say it's refreshing to see someone under pressure and keep their cool..not one sign of an attitude..as a matter of fact he was happy and very nice as well as proficient ..great cust service..didn't catch his name but u know who u are and I salute u great man I can tell he's probably like that all day..I wish I had the patience.. thanks

My experience at this harris teeter was one of the best ever. I definitely want to point out the young lady who helped me in the bakery; her name is Izzy. The thing that really made my experience pleasant was the fact that Izzy really took the time to take my order with patience, understanding and most of all professionally. Prior to calling this store i was very upset because the other stores I called(non-harris teeter) had Terrible customer service, I began to wonder what was the deal with our bakeries in the Charlotte area; nevertheless after speaking with this young lady a load of disgust lifted off me. I must add that this store has excellent customer service as a whole, the management is excellent.(Travis and cant remember the other manager). I personally live on the other side of town and will drive to this location because of the oustanding customer service. I hear many complaints about the prices, so what about the prices when you are getting great service. I'll pay $1 more @ least u will get someone willing to help you with integrity. Excellent Service!! This store operates the right way!

This is Dilworth's HT....I shouldn't have to say anymore, right? But I will, please bear with me because I have a soft spot in my Charlotte history heart for this company....anyway! HT as a standard that is in a higher class for Charlotteans. The food is fresh the flowers are perky, the sushi is well sushi. Anyway...let's leave the floor for a potty break...this is when it all falls apart. Worst HT bathroom I've EVER seen! Not that the fixtures were old, although they were (that's not the problem). The problem is the bathroom was NOT clean, hadn't been clean in a while AND the fixtures were literally hanging sideways on the walls by loose screws. Let's do better HT...you have a standard to uphold!

I have been shopping at Harris Teeter in Uptown Charlotte for a few years and I always find what I need. They have a wide variety of products, from fresh produce and meat to bakery and deli items. The store is clean and well-organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They also offer online ordering, delivery, and pickup services, which are very convenient. The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is because sometimes their prices are higher than other stores, and they don’t have a lot of organic or specialty options. But overall, I think Harris Teeter is a great grocery store and I would recommend it to anyone looking for quality and convenience.

  • Sandra Manon

Was realy good. I went for 1 product and they don't have that but they put the price tag en wrong place. So went I was on check out .I look the price was regular price , I still pay. And I went to customers services, trying to return and de manager af from ask me way I returned and I explained her the the item was in wrong place. And they don't have what I need. And she said. No problem she returned and sell again for the one have in sell. So that for me was a great customer service. And good experience. !!because you sure have all the products for that promotion no matter if you make you sell, that's way you have somebody tace off. Thanks good services.

  • Brittany Lee

I'm a frequent HT shopper and never have any complaints. Most recently, my trip to this location was very disappointing. When asking the female working the cash register if she was open, she rolled her eyes and simply groaned. After scanning all of our items and we paid, she then proceeded to walk away, forcing us to stand there confused and then have to walk around to the other side of the cash register to retrieve our groceries. It seems as if this location needs to look more closely into their employees and their employees need to have better attitudes. Not asking for much when going grocery shopping but this employee was downright inconsiderate.

  • Sherry Howell

Update: I want to let the management team at the East Blvd location know how much I value Ms. Jenny! She is one of the best and hardest workers at this store and I hope you value her as well. She brightens my day and makes my checkout experience enjoyable. Harris Teeter has been my go-to grocery store for over 10 years; however, it's time for me to find a better option. The quality of fresh foods, the cleanliness of the store and the customer service is sub par at best. Since Kroger has taken over, the decline is evident. The grocery store wars are heating up Harris Teeter and you really need to step up your game, fast!

  • Teri Hamilton

I usually have just fine experiences here but today was a different story. I was at the deli and I ordered a pound of American cheese. The employee asked “Sandwich sliced?” I asked for thin. I wanted it thin so it would melt correctly. She then goes over to the presliced case and grabs a pound of American, which is never sliced thin, and repackages it in front of me! If I wanted it sliced that way I would have grabbed one myself. If my peacemaker husband wasn’t there I would not have walked away quietly. That was horrendous customer service. It was disrespectful and a slap in the face.

  • Jennifer ESQUIVEL

Nice Harris Teeter, close to my job, and it has everything you expect a harris teeter to have. They do have a starbucks located inside as well as an Asian & Salad Bar, no hot bar, though. Nice assortment of fresh produce and fruits. Lots of flowers and plants. No wine bar, but they do have a huge selection of wines and beer to choose from. Definitely, my go-to if I have to run and buy something real quick during my lunch break. It is located in Dilworth in a small shopping center so parking and traffic there can get a but tight but I never have a problem finding parking

  • Marcie Jacobs

Amazing customer service! I called a few florists and they didn't have what I wanted to send to my daughter who'd had a baby at 2am. I knew HT had pink peonies that were beautiful as I'd bought some at my local Charleston SC store last week. So, I contacted the Kenilworth Commons location and Sylvia in floral made a perfect arrangement and Mary in online shopping (Home Shop) got me all set up and the arrangement was scheduled to be delivered the same day. Thank you so much for taking the time and helping me to get this special gift delivered! You are fantastic!!!

  • Chris Mullis

Shopped here for three years and have been happy until recent interaction with Josh the customer service manager. He offers no attempts at solutions and walks around with a look on his face of disgust. These few incidents they have taken place that have force me to be in a position to interact with him is unfortunate because I will never step foot in this store again I will drive is unf to make sure that I never have to interact with that individual ever again Harris teeter can do better especially putting someone in a position as a customer service manager

  • Drew Terry

This grocery store hits a pleasant medium between decent selection and decent price. We can usually find "clean eating" options here, including Whole30 bacon (which we didn't find at Whole Foods!), many HT Traders or Organics house brands are free of additives. The produce here is hit or miss, and although we can find more unique things like plantains, many times they have been out of a common item (lookin' at you spinach). Overall, we shop here because they usually have what we need and it's usually cheaper than Whole Foods or Fresh Market.

  • Anna Bean

The selection of everything you can think of is pretty great. But overall customer service is a bust. Sours the whole mandatory shopping trip. Went to check out and there were no open lines. Self check out only. I asked the person who was running that section how to sign up for a store card so I could get discounts on everything. She said I think customer service hold on....she walked off and disappeared until I was done checking myself out. Just told me to have a nice day. Get a discount card before even starting to shop I guess. Noted.

  • Betsy Turner

This has been my favorite store for decades. Unfortunately over the last year it has deteriorated & over the past few months has become unbearable. Prices don't ring up correctly and/or match advertising. Whether I go through a cashier line or self checkout... it seems I always end up dealing with a customer service rep. The cashiers are good but the customer service reps are argumentative, rude & condescending to both me as a customer & often to the cashier. This did not use to happen...not sure what has changed?

  • Julie Shiverdecker

This became my default HT 3 months ago and we've really liked it until tonight. We went to get fried chicken on their Friday special. We got there at 5:15pm. There was a bucket of chicken that was put out at 11:15! I asked if they were frying anymore and was told no. Seriously? No more on the day its on a deal? The worker then came back to us and offered to take cold fried chicken and put it in oven. Uh, no! I want fresh fried chicken. We went somewhere else for fried chicken.

  • Cowboy Butler

I hate to use the word "typical", but this is the as expected, typical Harris Teeter - great selection with a neighborhood market feeling, even now owned by Kroger. This particular location: Not the biggest floral department, but they will definitely make anything you need onsite, on demand if they have the product. Anything special you have in mind with notice can be ordered and arranged. Very skilled above the average grocery store floral department.

  • Toshia Williams

1st Visit! Always stocked for my needs! Just upset that they did not have my cheese bread in the deli for my sandwich. 2nd Visit -I visited this location on Monday the 21st once again the sandwich shop failed me. I must remind you I travel twenty minutes to this location since there is no HT in my area. I was looking to take advantage of the 4.99 foot long sub and they were out of bread at 530. I work 8am to 5om and just wanted a sandwich for dinner.

  • Megan Fox

I've been slightly disappointed with Harris Teeter recently. Several times a week I get an email with specials and every time I go to the store not a single one of the prices shows up correctly. I'm then left standing there won't my time, the time of the cashier and every other customer in line behind me while the cashier has to manually correct every item based on the emails I receive. It's Luke I'm intentionally being deceived.

  • S Russell

This store is POORLY MANAGED leading to misrepresentation of prices & delays at checkout. Having to wait several minutes for a manger override that results in the complete voiding of my order & subsequent re-scanning of all merchandise WITHOUT THE COMMUNICATED SALES PRICE?!?!?! Time is money & the time spent here voids your savings. Make the drive to South Blvd or Central for less aggravation.

  • Yeremy Y

I went to get a cake and end up waiting over 30 minutes to get my service. I understand it was busy but the employee was definitely racist In that he ignored me being in line first and choosing to serve other customers that get there after me. I shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes to get a cake. He noticed my presence in that he looked at me and says he will there but he didn't respect my time.

  • Mickey

I usually have great customer service here, but on yesterday I was disappointed. My son and I went in to get some fresh seafood, and the gentleman that assisted us was beyond rude. He acted as if me asking how much what I was ordering would be before adding more was an inconvenience or problem to check. His rudeness alone makes me think twice about visiting this location again.

  • adam pyle

Delivery was 3.5 hours late, and the groceries had been sitting out that whole time. Frozen items were melted, refrigerated items were warm. They didn't even get half the order to me on the first attempt, they had to send someone else a full hour after the first attempt. They refunded it, however I will never, ever buy anything from this store again just to save the headache.

  • Robin Milton

On 5/30 I went to this location looking for some okra. What they had should have been in the garbage and not for sell. It had mold growing on it!!!!! Harris Teeter, you need to get it together!!!! Nothing should be for sale that could have clearly caused problems for a consumer!!!! Worst Harris Teeter I have been in!!!! Maybe this location needs new and better management!!!!

  • Leland Decker

The older women behind the deli counter are lazy, rude and disrespectful!! They should be grateful to have a job. Since you obviously don’t want to help customers, maybe you should find another job, possibly a factory job. Will never shop at this HT again. I recommend going across the street to The Fresh Market, the entire staff are friendly and helpful!!

  • Zeb Gillette

Consistently rotten produce. On 3 straight trips to the store I found molding/rotting produce for sale. Told management the first two times, walked through the department with them once too. Last time I just put it on the counter and told them I wouldn’t shop there again. There’s too many other options close by to risk anything “fresh” there.

  • Brian DeCastro

First time shopping at this location.. It has to be the worst Harris Teeter in Charlotte metro. Found so much out of date product. The staff isn't friendly. Many shelves empty, no sanitized shopping carts, rotten produce on the shelves. I do not recommend this store at all. Better off going to the one at Providence and Queens intersection

  • Leah Ferlin

I usually shop at Publix, but recently came to try out Harris Teeter. I had the BEST experience here, solely because of the worker, Tonya. Tonya had INCREDIBLE customer service and helped me tremendously. She was so nice and made my day so much better. I will continue shopping here because of how amazing the customer service was!

  • Mark

The store had an overall clean appearance and an amazing floral department when you first walk inside. The management was very helpful in helping me find an item that I have been searching for at other stores and was unable to find anywhere. I really appreciate everyone at this store and always enjoy shopping at Harris Teeter.

  • Marcus F

Full Service HT in close proximity to the Fresh Market, which is the main thing I like about this location. Very spacious produce section. I always feel like I get in an out at this location pretty quickly because of the layout. Produce, Bread, Deli, Bakery & Meats are all on the same side of the store, which I find helpful.

  • noneya business

This place feeds Dillworth. This is a relatively busy Harris Teeter that has a parking lot that can be on the small side. Just your average Harris Teeter nothing crazy stands out. The hot bar here is very good as well. I only give four stars usually to Harris Teeter because the workers usually seem to hate their lives.

  • Nunya Bizzness

Ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich at the deli and was given a Cajun spicy chicken cutlet sandwich which I hated and threw out after the first bite. Next time if you have both regular chicken cutlet and spicy, tell the person there’s a choice, otherwise go with the regular chicken cutlet that’s on the menu by default.

  • Emily C

First of all, this is a solid Teeter. Second of all, I frequent here for lunches/subs and want to give a huge shoutout to Martina and Chris. They’re AWESOME. Always so hospitable and sweet. It totally makes my day when they’re there and we get to say ‘hey’. Keep crushing and I’ll see you both again soon :)

  • Ingrid Robleto

So far this is my favorite HT. It's always clean and the staff are very pleasant. I enjoy that they have a seating area to eat. Their prices are better than most, and I eat organic without breaking the bank. The only complaint that I have is that specials are always short in supply. Gotta be the rush hour!

  • Lee Ali

Very nice helpful staff . Clean shop ! Only reason I’m giving it a 2 star is because i found bones in boneless chicken , twice ! Not criticizing the supermarket as it’s my go to market but just be careful when you buy fresh meats off here and always make sure you inspect the meat before you cook or digest

  • ra breva

Always had great service there very clean go there on lunch by a slice of pizza.lady today serving pizza not freindly at all tiffany attitudinal.Maybe she had bad day IDK BUT thats not the place for it didnt heat my slice up or nothing so next time i see her workong that station i leave wont buy a slice.

  • Alexis McInnis

Great sale prices! When theres a sale. But i cant say that i wasnt a little uncomfortable while there. Felt a little out of place! Like i didnt deserve to shop there. Waited in line for 20 mins before someone told me i was not in the correct place in line! So i will go back but maybe a different store!

  • igor hodochisnkiy

I may catch some flack about this, but why are the 4 parking spots closest to the store reserved for the military? Disabled/maternity parking, that I understand. Seems like you're trying to be patriotic in a weird way that says "we support the troops, now give us your money by shopping here"

  • Gloriad Mcconico

I was at the Harris Teeter and the employee was rude ,I took it up with the manager he was very graceful that I let him know and that was a good experience to know that when employee are rude that they will take care of it straight away and made me feel very happy to come back to that store

  • Rachel Wrede Meier

I think the team here is fully of some of the nicest, most helpful people of any store I frequent. Always willing to go the extra mile and just very sweet and attentive. Not sure I’ve ever had consistently good experiences at any other grocery store, but it’s enough to keep me coming back!

  • John Eby

I generally like Harris Teeter. But was extremely disappointed in the tiny canned vegetable section of this location. I wasn't able to find what I wanted so kind of messed up dinner. I went with a 3 because of that. As usual the store was clean and the employees were good.

  • Briana Meta

Always a great experience Coco today was amazing at checkout. I watched her interact not with just my child but the child ahead of us. Very nice and beautiful spirit. Which I've never came across anything negative about this store. Great job! Keep being awesome Everyone.

  • Nicole Washington

I picked up a lunch box and they wouldn’t sell it to me because it didn’t have a price on it. There was 10 of those lunch boxes out. Why sit them out if they aren’t available for purchase. The managers, associates, no one could help. I hate this Harris teeter.

  • Buffy Cherry

I love this Harris Teeter! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Tonight the manager on duty help me to my car and helped me load my groceries in the rain. Now that's what you call customer service. Exactly why I drive out of the way to shop at this store.

  • Coley S

Upside is that the chain is nice, clean and has plenty of locations throughout the area. The downside is that they’re very expensive and their selection is not that great. There are 2-3 other choices that come before here for me when it comes to shopping.

  • Elizabeth Van Every

We went to visit the asian bar for dinner that serves from 4-7. There was nothing out at 5:15 and we asked the chef for that bar when she would replenish it. She said “no more til tomorrow.” So don’t waist your time if you want dinner from the asian bar!

  • Andrew Merchant

This is one of the best Harris Teeters in the city. The selection is good and the customer service is even better. Produce is always of high quality. The only down side is the parking can be a bit hectic, and well, they don't offer Publix subs.

  • Jessica Plumey

Unusually I went to this location due to closest to me prior to work, however went this morning to get me a salad. Its 8 a.m. no tongs are out. Not only that a customer service rep came to give me one for a salad prepped already while I was

  • Shania Waters

I can’t remember his name it was either Chris or Steve in the deli. But he was the most nicest/kind hearted man I have met. Very professional, and made sure my sandwich was made excellent.! Just wanted to say thank you for your kindness!

  • Shana Denise

Love the store but the fact that healthy food is very expensive is stupid but that's what I gotta talk to the government about. However nice store, always have what I need. Very helpful people as well. Clean and always stocked up.

  • NaQuay Ancrum

Amazing! Customer service is THE truth. Nice clean store and Chris from bakery needs a raise. He made my shopping experience better with his service and polite demeanor. Oh and with my VIC card my $21 total ended up being $12!!!

  • Katie1952@gmail.com simple20

Cotswold HT is a great store. Clean ,well stocked...employees are very friendly and helpful. Produce is fresh. Great bakery and deli... food buffet excellent, oriental buffet is delicious. Salad bar is dynamite katie …

  • Michael-Paul James

If you shop deals, their bogo is extensive. The stores are well maintained and organized. In 18 years, I have only had one bad experience at the uptown store. The one on Plaza, Mountain Island, and Cornelius are my favorites.

  • Mr. Fred

Stores are well clean well Lighted personnel very helpful I might add the staff is very friendly also stores are easy to park easy to get in easy to get out without a truck at household I recommend Harris Teeter stores.

  • John Hill

Harris Teeter is one place to shop for fresh and good quality grocery. I am always impressed by their clean, orderly, and inviting display of foods...be it vegetables, meats or other food items. Great atmosphere, also!

  • Detricke Meadows

Good Morning yesterday I was shopping just drop my mother off at a dentist office near you had to pickup a few items I need the manager to no everyone was nice and very help I really appreciate the staff I was amazed!

  • Vincent Montgomery

Lights on a register, but no one attending. Sat there for like five minutes. asked a couple of staff members. Nobody gave a care in the world. If you want us to use the self check out, you should not offer an option.

  • Wendy McGomery

This place is on point with their products they sell. They even have a Starbucks inside the store so you can have coffee while you shop.Excellent!!! And if you need help with anything the friendly staff always help.

  • Patti Brown

Nice store. Odly laid out at the entrance, pretty compact to be frank. But very nice and clean. Employees all guinenly happy to help. Customer service manager Tori is a real sweetheart. Wish they had a pharmacy.

  • ir w

Some of these employees aren't friendly towards customers Tamara, Kimberly, and Cola didn't provide outstanding customer service Only reason why I come here they always have wonderful meat and produce markdowns

  • Colleen Nicol

I give this store a 4 because parking can suck, but they're currently working on improving it. Their prepared foods aren't as good as Publix. However, I find they have a better selection of goods and flavors.

  • Sharon Coleman

I love this particular Harris teeter its very convenient and l can almost always find just what l am looking for on a daily basis as well as holidays and they make holiday ordering and shopping easy …

  • Hi

Wow!!! What a fantastic experience!!! Ordered 2 subs and received subs WAY better than subway or Firehouse or jersey mikes... the girl made them perfect and filling!!! So happy and will def be back!!

  • Jennifer Huff

If Courtney the Starbucks barista hates her job so much why does she do it? You can barely hear her talk and she’s so unenthusiastic, as if it just pains her to make drinks. Super rude.

  • C. Khary Lewis

One of my favorite Harris Teeters, awesome staff especially in the bakery and deli!!! Those ladies are friendly, professional and remember regulars with ease. They truly make the store!

  • A C

The employees are always polite and helpful. Love their subs and sub points program, and pizza Monday's. E-VIC items are usually in stock. The store is crowded and parking is limited.

  • Phillip Townsend Art Up Close

Sales prices are always wrong at this Harris Teeter!!!! Tired of dealing with timely price checks every time i check out becuase the price advertised doesnt match my receipts.

  • John Quisol

Every time I go to the fresh food and deli section it seems like those employees aren't happy to be there. I felt ignored because they're too busy doing something else.

  • Taylor L

Very clean store, great produce, and good prices on the items that are on sale. But other items are pricier than other local stores sell them for. So do your homework

  • Vandana G

You get most of the items and they are better quality than Walmart/ Comparable to Publix / Target, tad bit lower to Whole foods. Basically you get what you pay for

  • Jeff Poole

Overall a very good grocery store, typically my store of choice when going grocery shopping. Parking lot can get a bit hectic, so prefer to go during off hours.

  • Skipper Pond

Although a smaller, older location, if in the area, we'll stop. Great selection of products. Parking is tight.. Not easy to exit as it's on a very busy street.

  • It’s Latasha

Their curbside pickup is not very good. They are not prompt and most times takes 15 plus minutes of wait time even after receiving ‘ready for pickup’ notice.

  • Tammy G

Nice conveniently located store. It's a smaller location but they still have a great selection of products. Sushi is consistently good as well.

  • Im N

Whats wrong with Kim and cola the worse 2 employees to work for Harris teeter. These 2 employees never gave me wonderful customer service.

  • Jonathan Hampton

Jalen dende and David did the greatest job Ms Karen was most sweet and I appreciate everything I will shop there anytime five stars

  • Cheryl Killian
