This full service chain just keeps getting better. I particularly like the fresh produce that is sourced from a nearby farm. Specials are good and the occasional 20% off on a case of wine is unmatched by any other store plus the selection is varied enough for wine lovers of all levels. Love the Angus beef offerings. Seniors get a 5% discount on Thursday and for US Veterans there are 4 parking places near the door - nice for the older retired who don't need the handicap spaces. Their grocery and frozen selections are also extensive. I have shopped Harris Teeter for over 10 yrs (since we relocated to NC from NY) and continue to select it for the majority of my shopping. Locations with gas stations are nice with the gas reward points giving a modest price per gallon discount.
I have called and spoken to a manager before about this employee and nothing has been done. Now there's an entire Facebook thread about her. The woman with the eye patch behind the counter at the sub section is an absolute nightmare (name may be angela? IRONIC!!!). She's rude, disrespectful, never smiling, and constantly goes out of her way to make your shopping experience with her miserable. When I called the manager weeks ago to complain he promised me it would be addressed but it wasn't. She's still rude and now there's dozens of people.on Facebook talking about how easy it is to drive just a mile down the road and get decent service from a different harris teeter. DO BETTER!!! YOU ARE LETTING THIS DISGUSTING WOMAN COST YOU MONEY!
I arrived at this store at 6:50am to buy a single item I needed. Although the store was open, they only staff 2 people to work the registers - one at a register and one at customer service. Both were tied up with customers making large purchases using many coupons. When I asked if another register could be opened I was simply told no. The self service registers were closed. I had to wait 20 minutes before I could buy my single item. Harris Teeter management should be better prepared to handle both customers buying a large number of items and customers buying only a few items by having at least an express register or the self service registers open.
Im honestly just over Harris Teeter. The quality of produce has declined so much and I'm tired of sifting through the vegetables and fruit to find a decent pick. Also, the employees look like they've just rolled out of bed and not one employee at this location, including management knows how to tuck in their shirts. Okay, maybe one male manager I saw had his shirt tucked in. Also, their seems to be no delight in helping the customer. I live across the street and will be taking my business to Publix on South blvd. This goes for the East blvd location as well. Creating a positive customer experience with fresh produce is important.
This new Harris teeter by my apartment is my new favorite grocery store to go to. They have a nice cozy esthetic that makes you feel like you’re at your neighborhood grocery store. They also have a wine bar with a wide variety of wine selections. The deli also has the sandwich shop the many Harris teeters do now. The raw meat chicken and seafood area is also very well put together with many creative food items to choose from and staff is always very helpful and suggestive if you need help choosing the right meat or seafood. I love it here and was so excited for it to get finished and opened!! Exceeded my expectations too!!!
This place sucks. Run by the staff that is entitled. They may mess with youre prepared food.. Been to the hospital twice because proteins were not cared for according to proper guidelines Prices are ridiculous I have lived in Charleston, New York, Boston, Chicago, Buffalo Never been to a grocery store that smells like bad fish like this one Never has La croix on the shelf and its always someone elses falt. Produce wilts within a day in the fridge This place needs a serious overhaul Im almost 48. I have lived at the beach by a HT. This HT absolutely stinks
Their Deli Subs are wonderful. Sorry other sandwich establishments have nothing on Harris Teeter's offerings. And fresh... The price and combo lunch is by far better than chain subs stores. And a whole sub (Sale) better than the other guy's... Really. Only suggestion is that you're Deli (Meat & Bakery) participate in providing more to the Deli Subs in variety. It can and will boost customer selection and service! Thanks for your excellent service! It's missing at other (grocery stores, but Harris Teeter is far better than just a grocery store...
The location is nice since it's near my work and there's always plenty of parking, but when ever I enter this store (and some other locations as well) the place smells like bad fish right in the entryway. The layout is not great either. Why do tortillas end up in the international aisle instead of the bread section? If you come here right after 5 pm on a week night, be prepared to wait in line at the checkout. I still shop here, but only because it's close. If there were another grocery between my office and house, I'd probably switch.
Impressive variety of everything. It's been a long time since I've seen such good looking produce. Sorry Food Lion, you aren't even close to this quality. I didn't find prices to be much higher than my usual store. If I wasn't so far away, 30 miles, I'd make this store my regular. Everything was well organized, very helpful staff and the store was clean and modern. There's a great deli, fresh sushi station -$5.00 sushi rolls every Friday!, fresh pizza station. This store has it all.
I went to this Harris Teeter and purchased Large Shrimp, Lobster Tails, and Stuffed Crabs. All this fresh seafood was bad. I called the next morning and spoke with an associate in the meat department and was told they were aware of issues with the seafood. Yet they are still selling it. After everyone got sick I could only be refunded for the shrimp I didn't cook. Although I had my receipt. We are still not fully recovered from this experience on Friday September 24, 2021.
This a smaller, older store. It's looks crowded, but it's convenient to where you live. Staff friendliest is hit or miss as with most stores or businesses, except for the chicken sandwich Empire. I think some of the reviewers that have commented that the black employees are rude because they are poor may not realize they part they played in that interaction. If you talk down to someone, you are probably going to get rudeness. People with less Stuff are not innately rude.
If you have a choice, shop at another Harris Teeter. This one has a strange vibe, maybe it's because of it's smaller size, but I also had the displeasure of meeting one of the upper management here one time, and I just feel bad for the employees that work there now for having to deal with him. I have the option to stay away, so I tend to go to other Harris Teeters even if this one is the most convenient. I just hope that guy doesn't have influence over multiple stores.
Temporarily closing this store for renovation was a huge waste of money. I couldn't believe how dirty it was when I stopped in. There were areas I'd never believe have been cleaned even once since it reopened. If the managers don't care, why should the staff? That's in addition to so much of the produce selection needing to be thrown in a dumpster with rotting fruits and vegetables covered in mold on the shelves. Left without buying anything, and I won't be returning.
Always have a pretty good experience at this store. But I only tend to give reviews when there is someone who is particularly helpful and friendly. In this case, I was buying some chicken from the butcher department and was helped by Kenny. I have seen him a few times there in the past but he has always been super courteous, friendly, and helpful. Really felt like I needed to leave a review for him on here. I don't come across people like that very often.
This is your plain Jane average told Harris Teeter but it is in the Park Road shopping center which is one of the coolest places to walk around and check out gosh is this a fun fun plaza. As with most Harris Teeter’s They tend to have workers I really do not like their lives and do not show any enthusiasm or happiness and seem to be treated poorly so I rarely ever give Harris Teeter’s any points above four stars.
Lots of products here! Good stuff. Staff helpful when consulted. One item from my list couldn’t be found: Gatorade packets for mixing with water. Another item I sought was inferior to that of other markets: mixed fruit bowls. I bought one fruit bowl anyway: some tough bits of fruit- not the sweet succulent morsels I was hoping for. Live music and a bar with a TV. That might get me back!
I really want to like this place but they really just need to build a new store. The staff is always very pleasant but the store is old dingy and cramped. Usually the produce is very poor quality also. If they built a new Harris Teeter like some of these others ones around I would only shop here. It's quite a shame as this is in a great location for me.
I like Harris Teeter, but it's becoming the bottom of the totem pole for the price VS quality value...when I can go to Sprouts or Publix for Guranteed freshness! The chicken always stinks of unfreshness!! To the point that I am literally starting a ALL Vegan diet, the smell of meat is just repulsive here! Anywho, God Bless, And GROW A GARDEN, AMEN!
All the staff at this store are wonderful! The store has everything I need for the most part, and its in a very convenient location. Kaitlin in the beer & wine section is always helpful with my beer needs. Did I mention this place has a great bar with great beer selections on draft! And Kaitlin is a wonderful server!
Very discriminatory shopping experience! I’m a minority and I came in at night time and I was watched and racially profiled by the police that work inside there, as well as treated horribly by the staff. I will be alerting my local civil rights organization, as well as contacting their corporate office.
The chicken I got from the hot bar should have been changed because it was overcooked and to dry. The carrot cake was delicious. But you do need to pay attention to the chicken because I bought two and both of them what overcooked from being under the warmer. Everything else was wonderful in the store
I visited the Park Rd shopping center Harris Teeter for the first time after moving to the area in May 2019. It was dark, cramped, had forgettable service and limited selections compared to other grocery stores within a 2 mile radius. Glad they decided to renovate. Hope the service improves too.
Probably the oldest Harris Teeter in the area, but they keep it very clean. It's a lot smaller than some of the newer stores. The prices seem a little higher than the one in SouthPark, at which I used to shop. This location is very convenient, so I can see them updating this store one day soon.
Where do I start, from the moment we walked in everyone spoke.Workers in the Deli A++ 4.99 meal was great A++ Brian!! Thanks Sara for directions to the Cajun Restaurant! Tiffany you went beyond your duties to help me.Thank you next time we visit I'll be sure to stop by & say hello.
Not a bad location. The store is a bit cramped. Most of the staff members are nice. However, one particular female cashier wasn't friendly at all. She was extremely distanced, unfriendly and she barely acknowledged me nor any other customers. Besides that, a decent location.
Customer service is great but the shopping experience isn’t great. The store is incredibly outdated, lighting is a strange color, and I had to finish my grocery list at a different store because the meat/seafood selection doesn’t have half of what other Harris Teeters offer.
What a beautiful store. I went in fir a fresh made sub sandwich and the options seemed endless. The young lady working the deli counter had a wonderful attitude and was very pleasant. The meat and cheese were fresh and tasty. Will be visiting this store in the future.
Love this store. Smaller footprint than Park Rd or South Blvd but that's why I like the easy in and out. Friendly staff. Selection of fresh baked goods is considerably less than its sister stores but produce, meat and etc. is all there. VERY clean & neat. My favorite!
They have a bar where you can grab some dinner from the food bar then grab a beer/wine and sit down and eat right there! Great daily specials and great prices. There is plenty of parking. If you go for the lobster dinner, go early as that sells out very quickly.
New store was alright so many aisles mostly every dept was in the same spot expect deli bakery used to be in front now in the back and beer/wine had it's own dept. Store is smaller and aisle crowded than before but it's alot better! Once the crowd slows down
I tend to go in the early mornings. Cashiers are usually wonderful, the deli people tend to be annoyed and inconvenience by customers. Today, Vee, had a heading cup of a bad attitude. With the abundance local selections, my business will be taken elsewhere.
More expensive then I would like to spend, has great produce, and a great deli. I love going and trying all the samples and I love that it has veteran parking. I'd go here if i needed 1-4 things but i cant see myself doing a week's worth of groceries here
My local grocery store. Always friendly service! They offer help unloading groceries in car. The meats aren’t always the freshest but they have been getting better on that. They always have a good deal on things. Fresh produce. And the deli is good.
Very very clean store. Probably the cleanest nicest grocery store ive ever been inside. The employees are always helpful and kind. I have only good things to say. The deli is AMAZING! I love this store all the way around. 5 stars for sure! …
We have been going to this store for 25 years. We have never had a bad experience here and have had many pleasant ones. It is an older store and does not have the deli or prepared foods of East Blvd or Morrocroft but it suits our everyday needs.
Great store. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Only went to get 1 thing! Found lots more. Cashier got me a cart and helped with some food and price suggestions. Meat and seafood selections are fresh. Lots of parking and easy access by bus.
Seriously, i totall agree with the review below saying how harris is hiring all these "ghetto walmart" looking people to work and is losing customers because of it. I have nothing against black people, but why it is when it come to serve
Generally speaking the staff is extremely rude for an upscale store like this. I'm not sure what the deal is but I would recommend a weekly check in with the management talking to staff to make sure they're not consistently in bad moods.
The produce is OLD! Does the fruit and vegetables can rotten within a day or two of purchase. Some of the staff is very nice but many are very grumpy. The prices are terrible, Food Lion kicks their butt and quality of produce and prices.
Came into the store with a big smile on my face because my son was coming for a visit. Just needed to get a few things for dinner tonight. I went to the deli and waited about 5 mins with multiple employees walking past me and telling me
I stopped in for a quick sandwich from the deli counter I wanted cheese bread and low and behold they had one half left I asked the sanwich maker gave it to someone else I don't understand why Harris Teeter didn't have effect bread too
Nice store but can get busy and crowded. The deli makes it smell sort of burnt in there sometimes but overall I can say that's it is a good grocery store to shop at. Whether you're vegetarian or vegan for the most part
While not the largest HT, it has many of the same products and services that you expect. My only negative is that this store often runs out of certain sale items. However they gladly give rainchecks when that happens.
This location has the worst layout. There is absolutely zero flow for shopping that results in the trip taking twice the time. There are enough HT locations around that you can save time and go to another store.
This location has a great meat case. The meat looks fresh. There is a good selection. Everything is organized. I’m really impressed with James, working the area. He, along with his coworker, are both so helpful.
Dont buy cilantro here outside of March and April. Their produce manager sell overmatured flowered cilantro ( flowering takes away all flavor). Might as well buy parsley, cause that's the flavor you get.
One of the original HTs in CLT. Very friendly and eager to help. Not as many peripherals as newer stores but most items are much easier to locate. VIC and E-VIC programs can give substantial savings.
This is a newly renovated Teeter. There's now a wine and beer bar so stay a while. The new layout is clean and efficient. I randomly took a picture of the cold medicines. Not sure why but here it is
Store was clean and well organized. One problem was the bread used to build the submarine was too hard for chewing. My only choice was to throw away. Think before a submarine from Harris Teeter.
I’m not going to go anywhere else anymore because they have the nicest employees and the cleanest store. The deli and food employees and the meat department employees are very nice.
Staff is always friendly and helpful. Produce always fresh. The deli is delicious and always full. The sales are great and the meat and fish department is always full of freshness!
First time in this store. Very clean. Well stocked and organized. Great customer service. Much better than my Jewel grocery store back home, behind enemy lines, in Chicago.
I order off internet and pick up . People are great and very seldom makes mistakes. Nicest young people . It is personality of employees that keeps me so loyal …
Prices are extremely high, bathrooms never get serviced and the people that work here don't really work here they just getting a check but never truly checked in
No complaints. Prices a bit high, but the quality is as well. Not a place to shop for big family on a budget. But they have great "buy one,get one etc" sales!!
Great store for it's size and age. They have a decent selection of grocery staples, and ok beer/wine selection, but the produce leave something to be desired.
I've noticed they've hired a lot of minorities lately I guess to counter the racism. The older ladies that work there are truly the best especially Mrs. Mary
Most of the time excellent service. Manager is attentive and addresses yout needs. Out of stock sometimes on sale items. It's the store we visit most often.
The store was just been remodeled and looks great, the employees are very helpful and courteous. Lots of parking that's great. It's beautiful job well done.
Purchased $73 dollars of groceries. Not a single cashier open, had to scan $73 of groceries in the self checkout, not cool. Definitely not worth the hassle
For an older store, it is very clean and well maintained. Awesome customer service. Great selection for the size of store. Excellent produce department.
The store itself is awesome..... but getting a sub at any local Teet sucks. Pay your employees so they care about what they do! The deli is horrible!
Is the store to get to plenty of parking plenty of handicap parking easy access for handicap people very clean very nice store we'll go back there
Harris Teeter had exactly what I was looking for, Simply lemonade with Strawberry and more! The store is always clean with good customer service.
My experience at this particular Harris Teeter is ALWAYS REMARKABLE! I've been shopping here for nine years! Great store! Great atmosphere!
Typical grocery store. Generally clean and well organized. A bit over priced but does have a lot of sales and discounts to make up for it.
Grocery store with fresh farm produce, cheese, flowers, oil, detergent, almost all the groceries. I liked the quality of the products here
Great store avoid tiffany the CS clerk she has an attitude with customers!! Most of the staff are good and provide outstanding service.
Great grocery store with plenty of vegan items and always a sale going on. Fresh produce and organized. Great customer service.
This is the new improved store. Nice bright aisles. The store is a smaller size. Am very happy with the remodeled store.
Very nice grocery store. Very clean, cool, and fully stocked. Everyone is so friendly, you almost do not want to leave.
Neighborhood grocery store with everything you need. Sub lady is Great. Knows how to make a mean sub.
Easy to shop, pleasant workers and friendly and caring cashier bagging my groceries.
We always come away happy. Wife ice cream (store brand) that she really liked.
Great shopping experience. Nice staff...clean, organized and well stocked.
The bathroom is never clean when I go to use it.
Dae chan is a cool and nice guy
