This location is housed in a Pep Boys picture the service you are going to receive before visiting this establishment. Located in New Orleans East off a run down service road!I had a schedule appt with Left partnershiping with Hertz but was amazed at the lack of organization or customer service that was suppose to come from the Hertz reps. And also by the Lyft reps. that are assigned to this location. Hertz rep did not say good morning when walking past me or others that was waiting for same thing as I was or something else. The Hertz rep that assisted me was a Caucasian male with glasses with no name tag that wasn't friendly at all and acted like he was doing me and others that was waiting a favor. This rep did not smile nor greet me that really left me puzzled! I was there waiting at 8am on a Tuesday morning, and my appt was schedule for 9am but was not out the door until 09:56am! There was alot of taking there time to set up and taking among themselves for a good 20 minutes of the company time! I was very applaud by the way the other Hertz rep that was African American with glasses and tall and light complected walked around as if he didn't have customers waiting to get in and out this establishment! Hertz lyft express drive also make you as the driver go in and have the car they are renting out to you, wait in Pep Boys or NTB to get your Oil Change or All Maintenance issues, which you wait taking time out your busy schedule, from 1 hour to 3 hours depending on how many cars are ahead of you. They also stress in fine print that vehicles cannot be swapped! So if your rented vehicle needs maintainence done you as the renter will have to wait for it to be completed! This location lack accountability and there is no Manager that oversees the Hertz car rental side nor the lyft express drive side, so what I observed is that the reps do what they want to from 9a to 4p. There needs to be accountability set in place reminding these reps working at this locations that your running a business and starting assisting customers at 900am not at 925am after you get everything up and running with the computers and set up! Hertz needs to have a manager working at this location everyday to ensure the customers are treated right and there in and out in a timely manner, leaving happy and glad they choose this location to go to! And also they need to start having there name tags visible on them at all times, and smile as if they enjoy there job! This location is by far the worst location you could have suggested to have Hertz in especially partnerships with lyft and Pep Boys, NTB, the company's making money but the customers service is left out the door, and is very poor service! I would not recommend this location to my followers nor to my family or friends until there's accountability is put in play at this establishment! Just to let you know the area this establishment is operating from is not a good area so please be aware of your surroundings!

I received the C-class Toyota Corolla (no disrespect to Toyota) rental on 5/19/16 & my car was out of the shop on 6/6/16 after 5 p.m. but I did not get off of work until 6 p.m. When I got off there was a voice message waiting for me from Mr. Allen of Hertz New Orleans East I-10 service road branch stating that he received a memo that my car was released from the shop on 6/6 & that my insurance was not going to pay for my rental so I needed to return the car. First off yes my car was released on 6/6 but that was after 5 p.m. & I'm at work until 6 p.m. so there is no need to act like my car was released from the shop for a week! Secondly the call from Hertz was made at 4:58 p.m. they close at 5, so I'm going to attend to your request of returning the vehicle how when the place closes in 2 minutes! The way he went on about the car you would've sworn it was a premium rental, like sir please come on I'm not trying to run off or keep the little Toyota any longer than I have to, I will gladly take my Chevrolet Camaro over any foreign car any day of the week! They open at 8 I will be at work but I'm taking an extended lunch just so I can go pick up the car from home & drop it off & I hope that I never have to deal with ANY Hertz company ever again!

This is the worst car rental place you could imagine!!!! Don't ever rent a car from them. We had our wedding in New Orleans and rented a car from them. We left a small suitcase in the car with all our wedding cards, my wedding shoes etc. We noticed on the shuttle on the way to the airport. Called immediately but we couldn't return because we'd miss our flight. It's been over 3 months, I've called, submitted missing cases, went personally to their office in Miami. NO RESPONSE! Finally I decided to come back to New Orleans and try personally. They couldn't help me and said someone would call me, 10 minutes after I left some one called me only to say that they never saw saw my suitcase. 1- Worst customer service ever 2- they're thieves 3- after all that they didn't offer a thing Never rent from them! They never hold themselves accountable and have the worst customer service!

The worst place to rent a car . I had a very very bad experience with this place. No car when I got there . Wanted to put me in a SUV at a extra charge. Had to go to another location to get the car it took 50 minutes . I left came back to get the car it wasn't clean took 30 to clean it. I left there I got a call that a key from another vehicle was left in it so I had to go back and drop it off. I lost 2 hours of my time to be on the highway. The only discount offered was $30.00 I said no way . So I called customer service and they give me a better discount. This Hertz location you can't find it . The dodge trucks block the sign in the window. That need to be addressed.

The ladies and gentlemen were beyond professional. They took care of me. I was in a complete panic thinking I was going to have to cancel a trip due to my error. They made everything right. They not only helped me they also gave me a ride to get my car back to my home. I had no idea how I was going to get it home. Thanks, Semaj, and the other two young ladies and gentlemen for going over and beyond to make me comfortable. Sorry, I didn't get y'all name, but I do appreciate you for helping me and making me feel comfortable.

DO NOT GET A RENTAL FROM THIS PLACE. The other reviews are spot on. The first car I got reeked of smoke and was full of animal fur. I thought I could just roll down the windows and let it air out, but it was horrendous. If you are stuck between choosing enterprise and hertz, PLEASE choose enterprise. It's only a couple dollars difference so spare yourself some time. There was only one person working, and their selection of cars was very limited. They gave me a cheaper car than the car being replaced.

This is the worst branch!!! Booked a car for 4 days. Week in advance. Got a call at 7:30am that my 8:00am car is not available and they have nothing else. I was told that they are looking for a vehicle for me. But they never called back and did not answer phones either. Been a loyal Hertz customer, and I am a President's circle member. This is not good customer service. When I called the main Hertz number they told me this branch should have found a vehicle at any other location.

This is one of the most terriable experices I’ve had in my life. I booked a car through hertz for today at 12. In New Orleans I arrived at the airport to find out the car wasn’t even booked at the airport that I need to take a Uber 45 min to another location. Now I have arrived here and becuse they called this morning and said they were short on cars . I now have no car at all. So I have spent 200 dollars now and still have no car! They don’t really seem to care.

Absolute fodder. Tried renting a car from here that was set up by a certified hertz dealer in Covington. They had no clue what was going on and acted oblivious as what to do. Said they would call me back in a few minutes every time I called, which was about 4 times. Never once received a call back in the whole two days I called. Just kept getting the run around. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. There’s a reason they have a 2.5 star rating.

My experience with Hertz was not positive. The car was clearly not cleaned properly. I found things in the car that I chose not to mention. The license plate expired while it was in my possession. So I had to go back and get that fixed. I was supposed to get some money back because I brought it back before time, but it has been 5-10 business days and they still have done nothing. The people did seem nice, but not worth it go somewhere else.

Recently rented a vehicle from this location for a week to travel upstate. After a few days and numerous bites, it became apparent this vehicle was infested with fleas from the previous user, or from a pet the user had in the car. Needed to have all my clothes laundered and the vehicle fumigated to make it tolerable. The customer service agents here were pretty indifferent to the hardship. Buyer beware

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. They had no car for me after I had reserved one three weeks in advance. They gave me the run around all day. They finally told me to leave, that they couldn't help me.They wasted my entire day. I finally rented a car at the airport late that night. Avoid this place if you actually want to rent a car and not have them waste your entire day.

I reserved a car online, they called the day I was going to pick up the car and said they didn't have one available. They will call me when a car is available. I said ok and looked elsewhere for another car. Found out two days later that they charged me for a rental I never picked up. Tried to call several times, no answer. Trying to resolve through my bank. Bad business!

Reservation made day before, get there, no car available, 12 ahead. Shame on online their system that doesn't reconcile with what's available. Service agents were great and professional and did everything in their power. But this lousy service reflects on Hertz. Will stick with Enterprise going forward. Waste of $$ and time taking Lyft to location. More $$ for enterprise.

When you google map search for this location it takes you to the Toyota dealership. When you get there you get told “They moved”. When you finally find the right place, the service is....lackluster at best. The reservation my coworker had didn’t mean anything. He was told it would be a while until a car got returned. I don’t know how long he had to wait.

The Staff was GREAT!. They kept me informed and made the entire rental experience easy and convenient. The young lady that rented us the car even program my cell phone to the radio and made sure I knew how to operate it, along with all the other gadgets in this car. They made sure I had the car I needed and that it was clean and safe! GREAT PEOPLE!

My car wasn't ready after waiting over a hour! The car smells of cigarette smoke! I asked for another car since I have COPD! I was told that there's nothing available! The car has dents and a cracked windshield! All of which I documented! After using Hertz for years, I am not to please with this one! Hopefully, it will get better!

My family reserved a 12 passenger van weeks ago or more. My mother called last week to reconfirm. We showed up 20 mins early on the scheduled day and were rudely advised that the van was rented to someone else. He made no attempt to help any further. He then said he has a compact vehicle if we would like. What a joke!

Read the reviews, took a chance. Things were very different than previous reviews. Service was fast, staff was knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. Vehicle was clean, fueled, and issue free. It seems there may be new management than that stated in previous reviews. The price can't be beat here.

The Branch Manager, Jeff, helped me when we had no other rental options available and we needed a car in a pinch. He went completely out of his way to obtain a Cadillac SUV, cleaned it himself and delivered it to the airport early for a Sunday rental. "ABOVE AND BEYOND" CUSTOMER SERVICE! Thank you!

Worst service I've ever had to deal with with renting a car renting a car from the 1-800 number got to location and was told they won't have a car for at least another three weeks to be rented, you have to be kidding me. Please do not go to this location it is a total joke.

Legit worst experience ever!!! Car they gave me was old and beat up. Also charged me with a 300 smoking fee because they said the car "had a smoke smell". The rental didnt even cost that much and you charge 300. Thats like robbery. Awful experience. Wouldn't do it again

You have got to be joking. We rented a moving van a week in adavance and the website said they would have it. Get to this location at 8am and they were trying to give us a smaller moving van, then what we order. Now rushing around trying to find a moving Van day of.

Please train all of your Africa Americans that Puerto Rican citizen are U.S. citizen for over 125 years. And. They dont need a pass port to travel in the U.S. As a mejor rental company I recommend you train all your employee on Puerto Rican history.

I have never had a bad experience with Hertz. It is my go to place when I need a rental. I refuse to rent from any other company. I am always in and out in less than 10 minutes. If I have any issues with my rental all my needs are met promptly.
