Prices are reasonable. Process of picking up the car is fast and dropping off car is even faster; you simply drop the car off at the parking lot with the keys inside. They don’t even check if you had accidentally scratched the car. (I did not scratched the car though). Their Services are friendly too. I rented a Toyota 7 seater and the staff asked me if I would like to upgrade to a Mercedes 7 seater with just additional of $20/day. I kindly declined because I wasn’t confident in driving a Mercedes 7 seater. It was too massive for me. Anyway, I initially didn’t had high expectations of the car I rented. I was expecting a old and wore car. But surprisingly, the condition of the car was almost brand new! It still has that smell of a new car. And it’s very clean! Also, I would like to quickly share that this was my first visit to Australia. I went to Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide. And the experience of driving in Australia was pleasantly shocking to me. Australia really has one of the most courteous drivers in the world! They will give way to you, they wouldn’t horn you, they wouldn’t high beam you, they will signal before changing lanes or making a turn, and they will always keep left unless overtaking. If I were to compared them to Singapore drivers, Australia will score 99.9 against Singapore 0.1 out of 100. So for any drivers who worried about renting a car to drive in Australia, fear not. For they really have one of the courteous drivers in the world! Make sure that you also practise their courtesy and good ethics while driving there! Hertz is highly recommended if you are looking to rent a car in Adelaide.
Terrible customer service, and profiteering at its worst. Received an email after returning a vehicle saying they'd found damage on the vehicle. Upon calling the depot, I was advised to follow the instructions in the email I received if I wanted to see photos and evidence of the damage. I did this, and received an email to say it would take up to 15 days for them to respond. I then called the depot again, and their customer service department, when the depot could not help further. Customer service gave me another email to send a request to, and once again I was advised this would take 10 days to respond to. I then also received a call back from the depot, who provided a 3rd email address, which bounced completely. I called into the depot 24 hours later, and was met with shrugged shoulders, and was told to call customer service. Despite 2 phone calls to customer service, 3 discussions with the depot, and 5 email requests over 4 days, they have provided no evidence of the supposed damage, and have charged my credit card an unauthorised $120 in addition to the rental costs. Hertz customer service admitted that what I was asking for was reasonable, and the depot admitted that photos had been taken. They are clearly banking on the fact that this won't be enough for people to complain, and they can make extra profit.
Hertz at Adelaide Airport saved our day. We had two high end cars booked at a neighbouring hire company to be used in a wedding, and despite being booked 2 months in advance and receiving confirmation emails, one of the cars was not available at the time of pickup. While not an overly remarkable story, with less than 2 hours till the wedding I secured an Audi Q7 from Hertz to take the bride to the chapel. I gave the Q7 a quick shammy in my driveway at home to get rid of water droplet marks on the glass and chrome it looked amazing in pristine white along side the single Merc we DID manage to get from the original place. The Q7 from Hertz was a great car, the interior was spotlessly clean and comfortable with heaps of space for the bridal party's picnic basket and gifts. Even with her dress, the bride had enough legroom at the back that it didn't get crumpled or caught up as she got in and out. I want to thank the Hertz Adelaide Airport staff for being so efficient and saving the day for us! I wouldn't ever hesitate in coming here again.
No customer service contact. They took out a $500 bond which was only meant to be $1 as car hire was fully covered under insurance. They told me they refunded/released it back the same day. They still haven't refunded/released the bond even though the car has now been returned and it's 7 days since the money was taken out. They are hard to contact as they don't answer their phones. Once I did get hold of them they said a Supervisor would ring me back on Monday its now Thursday and still no phone calls. Appalling service, especially since the mistake was from their end. There is only an email address for customer service. I emailed Milly as soon as she responded to this review but still no phone calls or emails received. I rang Adelaide Airport again they are now denying the charge but I have it on my bank statement as proof.

Drove an hr round trip to pick up what we expected to be a tesla only to have the consultant say sorry the one have is reserved for someone else. She then advised when booking an EV we need to specify (which we did on the call the week prior) and that we need to also ring up the day before/day of to confirm which is a joke! Dont care about having to pay the ‘premium car security bond’ the fact is we booked the vehicle a week before and drive all the way there to have to turn around and go home. Wouldnt recommend!
Can I just say, that the team at Hertz Adelaide Airport are a cut above the rest, I’m god awful with names but to the legendary hero who helped me with my booking thank you so much. I not only loved the car that I rented (which was spotless, perfectly maintained, and fairly priced), but I genuinely enjoyed the experience of renting it. The team are bubbly and bright and have won my business over with a secondary booking being made for just one week later. Do yourself a favour if you’re heading to Adelaide and need a car and just book with the best - ‘Hertz takes the Hurt out of car rental’
Being the last person for the day and noting the closing time was 2300 and ariving with minutes to spare. The (2) members of staff on Monday the 3rd July 2023, where nothing but patient, polite and courteous and acceptign of my flight error margins which was delayed by nearly 20 minutes. They willingly stayed back a good 30 minutes to make sure I left without issue. There is nothing but respect for how the staff members treated me when I'm sure they had nothing on their mind but to go home to bed. I'm really thankful and can only offer nothing but words. Thank you!!!
We hired a small vehicle from these people recently for a day trip to Victor Harbour. I did it online and found the process relatively easy even though I’m not the best with online bookings. The vehicle was well presented and the staff were friendly & courteous. There was no tricky stuff often used by competitors & it was refreshing to be treated openly & honestly. Congratulations to Hertz for providing a good service, I’m impressed enough to use them regularly from now on. Well done Adelaide Airport.
After initially receiving great customer service from Hannah who bent over backwards to find us a suitable car, we rang to enquire about dropping the car back in Adelaide as we could no longer drive to Sydney because of the bushfires - Hertz Adelaide didn’t hesitate in offering a refund for the fee for different location drop off. Brilliant service during desperate times for Australia and a company choosing not to profit from the misfortune of others. Thanks guys and see you next time.
The car hire facility staff were easy to arrange a car hire. The only issue U had is the SUV hired was without a rear interior cover that would have help me feel more comfortable, our suitcases could be seen clearly whilst parked in Glenelg. The standard fitted cover would have helped to cover the cases and I wouldn't feel so vulnerable for a breakin and potentially theft. So customers be careful to make sure the vehicle is completely fitted with all accessories.
I used this company for my bsuiness however do not appreciate being quoted one price only to find that price has doubled with all hidden fees and charges once i get to the day of rental. They wait until youn are despereate and then hit you with all these extra fees and charges and you have no choice but to pay them. I would not recommend this business and would not use them again for my business.
A last minute on-line booking (5 minutes before arrival!) late on a Friday night was dealt with amazingly. A very clean Polestar was supplied. Only suggestion would be to better explain the recharging cost - Google kept on bringing up the Hertz American recharging rates that can be more expensive than the Australian rates, particularly when returning the car only a few percentage points below 90.
Fantastic service and staff. I received a courtesy call 24 hours prior to pick up, pick up and drop off was smooth and the car was exactly as described. Staff were friendly and there were no unexpected charges. The Hertz fleet is slowly becoming outdated, however this is an issue with Hertz itself, as opposed to the local operator. Thank you for the fantastic experience.
This business is clearly is not for BLACK PEOPLE. I had a good experience hiring car from with Hertz Melbourne and decided to use Hertz Adelaide . The racism and racial profiling that I experienced when I walked into this store from a staff member was so disheartening. It’s 2022, you should be able to provide diversity training for the people that work in this company.
The best car hire place going around. Excellent selection of cars, quick pick up and drop off. The only question is customer service.. just arrived from domestic to be greeted by an over zealous desk clerk who was having a bad day due to understaffed as he explained. Management you need to make sure you keep on top of this otherwise it will show up out in public.
Seamless. Was able to pick up our car in less than 5 mins. Gave us an upgrade too. Friendly and efficient service. Staff attending to us was very helpful. Returning the car took less than a minute (returned to Hertz in Adelaide City/downtown). Extremely impressed.

Prices are reasonable. However they don't appraise the cars well before you collect and then go over them with a fine tooth comb when you return them..this means that you get charged for damage that was probably there when you collected it.

Dodgy lot at this place. A pack of thieves. Do not give them your card details. They are crooks, find another rental. They never let the facts distort a good fabrication of lies, so they can credit your card and steal more of your money.

Small office supplying the same cars as the airport, friendly staff all the time, very helpful and go the extra mile to help customers on their way around Adelaide and south Australia, cheaper prices then the airport as well.

I booked a Mitsubishi Pajero from May 21 -24th 2021. On arrival the Adelaide Hetrz office at 6pm it took 25 mins to find my booking due to glitch in the computer system.
After telling me corporate clients can use the NSW digital drivers license on my phone with a photo card Id and a stack of 20 cards for ID purposes should be no worries.
Was here for a business trip and first time driving in Adelaide The team was friendly, car was clean and in excellent condition. Over all pick up and return was seamless

Overall experience is acceptable. Except the lady knew nothing about how to use Tesla supercharger. Plus she tried to charge me $60 for the $48 insurance.
