Very poor service, when I went there for power od attorney attestation on the appointment date after entering the office they gave me a checklist and I went again outside to take necessary printputs. Then I went to meet the officer, actually I didn't heard the tocken number, because I was busy with sequencing documents, they even don't have a screen to show the tocken instead they are calling number, and my friends heard and told me. When I went there the officer asking " you don't have ears❓️ or are you chatting in phone or talking with someone else" and he showed me some errors and I went again after correcting everything, then gave me a form that I need to fill, I gave them and there was a mistake in that, he showed it to his colleague and they were laughing at me, it was really embarrassing for me. I was not allowed to take phn with me, otherwise I will shoot this and take necessary action. I am a student that doesn't mean I am nothing. Very poor service. First time being an Indian I felt that I should not born in India. Writing with utmost pain. Thank you.
I had gone to apply for my passport renewal at one of the events regularly held by the Indian High commission in conjunction with the VFS (which is extremely helpful and convenient as this saves you a trip to London or one of the other centers you'd usually have to go to). The process was very quick and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. A bit more clarity on the documents required could be even more helpful, but the way the staff operate and assist, that more than compensates if you've missed out on getting any documents ready at hand. However, my experience was further enhanced by the extremely polite and well spoken gentleman from the public response unit, my call got directed to, for some additional documents that required to be submitted. I was assisted in a clear manner and given the exact steps to take and points on contact i needed to forward the relevant documents. Very pleased with the experience and service over-all until now. Very efficient and smooth functioning of this body. Many thanks.
Attempted to get Emergency Visa: Absolutely atrocious service, emails have been unanswered for over a fortnight. All the correct documentation has been sent as required on the website. The landline number is never answered, and no option to leave a voicemail. The mobile numbers are disconnected for out of hours use. No counter services for emergency visas despite all Covid restrictions being lifted in this country. I was just told over an intercom to send another email and just sit tight and wait. This is all whilst my father is critically ill abroad, and no compassion is shown and I’m told to just await the process. I already have a 5 year visa that has been suspended by the Indian government due to covid restrictions but the staff are uninterested. So now I have to pay twice. Obtaining an emergency Visa should not take this long! Thousands of people will have lost loved ones and not been present because of bureaucracy. The process to obtaining a regular visa via remote office appears quicker.
Really bad customer service. No respect for any of us as human beings. The people there make up the stuff as we come to get papers attested by them . No guidance on their website . Totally inept and long winded suggestions, by the time you get it done they would tell you something totally different. Wake up India , get rid of the bureaucracy and make it all online and none of this stamping this and that to prove some useless out of date idealism. Also no real guidance on the fees how much we need to pay . Also they do not take card payments. The whole world runs on card payments.. Dear Ambassador of India to the UK , start to improve by using the Kai zen technique to continually improve the quality of the services provided. Make India so strong and forward thinking and technological more powerful than anyone in the world .. but kindly get rid of this bureaucratic system which helps no one at all .
Indian Embassy's main objective is to help Indian nationals living outside. High Commission of India, London doesn't even bother to know how many Indians are living in the UK. When I called them to register myself. They said registering to the High Commission is our own choice they don't have any mandate. I'm not sure how they will help Indians living in this country if they don't have any details. Secondly when I applied for my passport renewal in London. It has been more than 6 weeks now, I'm calling high commission almost every day. They never answer the phone call and emails once in a while. I'm not sure if they are in the UK to help Indians or if they are understaffed which needs Mr Jainshankar's attention. They don't have any escalation email ID or any other way to contact them. Quality of service to be improved. At least if they don't care about Indian citizens.
This review regards Indian Visa applications I submitted my Visa application and they accepted it at VFS. I was told that the decision would be made and I would receive my Visa within 7 to 10 days. It has now been over 35 days and no decision has been made. I can no longer take my flight because I did not get the Visa yet and would need to do all the COVID tests etc. The email service is awful often I have to send five emails to get one reply. One time I asked for a status update and a time estimate and they simply replied “no idea”. I now want to withdraw my passport but they have not replied. This is clearly a scam as the fees are non-refundable and I was charged around £300. It was clear the dates that I needed to travel on my application (36 days after I sent it in) so it should not have been accepted if the Visa was not possible to be processed within that time.
I have applied for passport renewal in July and still waiting. No one answers phone and email response are in one line saying "its under process " which I know because I applied for it. No information about what is the hold up or anything. They keep asking you to email them which they ignore all the time. I doubt they read anything besides ur application number. Update: I went again to embassy to check my passport status. Normally lady takes my reference number and check but today was this bald guy very rude and for some reason always angry and annoyed. He was like go home and wait we don't take any inquiries. If we would be getting responses by email or phone (they only answered phone last week because Mr. Jay Shankar was in UK) why would we come all the way to embassy. Very rude. No help for Indian Citizen even though embassy is meant to help Indian.
Heartiest congratulations to the Indian High Commission in London for the massive change and smooth services offered, making us feel comfortable, giving the feeling of a home away from home. I personally was stunned by the warm and welcoming staff , trying it's best to sort out issuing the visa to my friend to visit India in just a day, when her father passed away! All thanks to the Minister of co ordination, never before the Indian community has come together in such a massive way as now , with a solid representation of each state with united participation in any event - . The HCI is now easily accessible and always very encouraging in pushing the diaspora to build a strong representation of motherland in UK and a greater contribution towards it!! Thanks for all the support which gives us the feeling of confidence , that there is someone to listen.
Big thanks to HCI london passport section. Had to apply for an emergency passport renewal as i i had an urgent travel to singapore. The staff were courteous. They followed up & ensured that passport gets renewed & dispatched asap. P.S : They have been dealing with huge volume ( unlike other coutries UK & US ) but still able to verify & process everything on time and i am pleasantly surprised and feel proud being an indian ! I find it really strange that people are ready to wait for 6m/1y just to get an appt for US visa ( they deal with less no of applications) but start moaning when they have to wait just for a week to get everything processed & done with indian visa/passport ( thanks to staff working on a war footing almost everyday !)
Very bad service. People are very uneducated, uncultured and uncivilised. I went 3 times in order to get my POA documents attested. I followed all the rules present on the website. They really don’t agree with you no matter what the website says. I got witnesses along with myself and and was still refused Vineet(Govt official) told me to get my documents notarised and website clearly states it is not needed and after some days I took another appointment and then they attested and while returning the documents Vineet got the documents and kept the documents kept with himself and said you will have to get the documents from square 1 because you did not get them apostle. I really want to know about this person Vineet and sue him in India.
I had submitted my passport for renewal and had not received it since more than a month. So I contacted the Indian High Commission to inquire. The wait time was very less without any fussy menu options after which I was connected to this gentleman in Public Response Unit. He patiently listened to my queries and the urgency of my situation and helped me out with all the relevant information promptly. No unnecessary holds, no pre-phrased diplomatic responses, but only quick honest information regarding my application. He also made sure my urgency was noted by the passport department. I would say exceptional service and kudos to the quality and work ethic of the team at high commission of India in London. Thanks a lot!
It was a really very very well coordinated and the staff at the Indian High Commission are very respectful. My experience right from the beginning has been very pleasant. I lost my passport yesterday night as my wife's bag was stolen which had our passports. I called the Indian embassy emergency number and they have given me clear instructions on how to obtain a new passport. They asked me to come in today on a weekend and just within couple of hours of waiting they have provided me with a new passport. I would really like to thank MR.KAUSHAL. He has been very helpful in the entire process and also the lady who has guided me on the phone and has followed up with me as well. THANK YOU ALL!!
The Public Relations department went above and beyond to help me to push through a visa problem that I was going through in the lead up to my trip to India for Christmas. Their hard work and dedication made it possible to join my family for a Christmas trip that looked utterly lost for me until they were able to help. I cannot recommend them and their professionalism highly enough. They were calm, considerate and listened to all my questions before offering sterling solutions and helped to talk me through everything I needed to correct my problems before giving further assistance to push the matter through. Thank you so much to them and all their help for essentially saving my Christmas!
Fantastic experience, very straight forward when I arrived at the embassy on Monday. We had to wait two hours which Is to be expected as they are dealing with other things such as passports etc. Very friendly and helpful staff.I Was told my visa would be with me by the end of the week and it came back within 4 days which was fantastic! The only two things I would suggest is having the prices of the visas shown at the embassy as well as online as the price online was different to what I paid and to make it clear when filling out the form online that you need to take a photocopy of your passport with you as well as your actual passport. Other than that a great experience.
Extremely pleased with the service from Public Service department in HCI London. I needed my daughter’s passport urgently which was submitted for renewal. I was getting the standard email responses from VFS, so I called them and they advised me to speak directly in HCI London. I called HCI - the lady on phone took time to understand my situation and promised to look into the matter and get back to me in 2 hrs. I got the update within 2 hrs and she helped in getting my application processed and confirmed to collect the passport next day. Fantastic & awesome customer experience from my perspectives. Many Thanks to the lady who helped. Much appreciated!!!!!
My mother went to the Indian Embassy in London to apply for a special visa that's needed to carry her spouses ashes to India. This appointment was done on line with the Indian embassy. Upon reaching and meeting the Indian embassy officer who showed Zero empathy of her loss simply tells her that she is at the wrong place and she needs to make an appointment with the Visa Facilitator Office which is not correct. The VFO doesn't offer this. Service and this service is only offered by the Indian Embassy. So disheartening to see that the embassy staff has no willingness to help a 83 year person with this process and to give her a run around.
I have been to high commission due some urgency to get my passport damage and I was not sure that how will I get it ASAP as I have flights to go back India for some personal problem. The moment I called to the unit I was under the impression that nothing will be solved today but it went completely opposite as I have been assisted by this lady and she helped me to get my passport done and manage to get it with fast track service in one day to the urgency.. I am really pleased to be having such service and heads off to the team called Public Response Unit, to actually helping public with their issues..A big thank you to the team..
My brother was harassed by one of their staff thrice due to a same issue in their London office. Mr Patel made him arrange numerous documents which weren’t mention on the site. And even after arranging them in a months time and paying them the money to process the document he refused to do his job stating that documents are incomplete and started yelling at him when he showed there is no mention for the same. Arranging the documents which he asked for itself was too expensive. Very rude behaviour from the staff didn’t expect it from the brothers of our country when on a foreign land and in times of a desperate help.
I had an extremely positive experience with the Public Response Unit. I rang this morning (a weekday) and some one picked up the call on about the second ring. A very courteous lady took my details and my query (about the status of my visa application) and said she would inquire on my behalf. A few hours later she rang me with an update. I have never been able to speak with an actually existing human regarding any passport or visa application before, ever. The pleasant and helpful demeanour and attention to detail is to be highly commended. Other countries' consular services have much to learn from the HCI London!
Very very rude and disrespectful staff, all the staff members except english people are very rude not helping anyone and shouting as well , we visited yesterday for POA the one member of staff harrased us too much and didnt tell anything what to do how to do simply told us to go and check online and complete the file, they should understand that this is england and everyone has limited time after their jobs but last not least like indian government offices they also dont want to do any work . I felt very shame that I am indian only because of such type of people they are taking advantage of their post only
I have received very positive response from the the gentleman in their Public Relations department of High commission of India on my TATKAL PASSPORT Case's for my both kids. He has been extremely helpful with it. He has gone all out to help me on my cases, excellent customer services and positive attitude to support us where Urgent Support was requested due to last minute rush to get valid renewed passport for Children expired a month ago with planned travel date just after 5 days. Thanks a lot for the HCI-Public Response office/unit and highly appreciated their effort to support us.
Fantastic service.. specially the OCI department staff named Vipin.. He reaponse to any query you have very speedily and positively…He take care of your case personally and even he does not hesitate to provide updates via email…. He is very polite and helpful even when you visit Indian Embassy.I think this person is very efficient and professional at his duty…. Its not only my personal experience but I have heard about his good work from many applicants. I think Indian High Commision in London should be feel proud to have him on board
Funny how since the minister left they dont even bother to answer the calls!!! Last week was the only time they bothered. Poor poor service. God knows who trained the staff. They don't answer phone calls properly, in my opinion they arent honest. They Don't bother answering emails in a timely manner.. and have zero to no regard for people and their lives. Its a waste of time even writing a review for a service that doesn't care. If they did years of bad reviews would have been acted upon. Exceptionally rude staff. And they don't care.
I want to share my pleasant experience with this gentleman from public service department. I had to travel to India for medical emergency and my wife and child need visa as VFS centres are closed due to lockdown. The person i spoke was extremely helpful and clearly guided me on process to apply for entry visa. It was truly a professional experience with very supportive guidance. He was very knowledgeable, was patient enough to listen to my problem. Just want to say, thank you for your help High Commission of India for your service.
I had to call Indian High Commission urgently this morning as my cousin is in hospital in India. The gentleman from public relationship unit answered the phone with in few seconds and explained everything in detail. After having an awful night, I was relieved and hopeful that I might be able to obtain a visa in time for my flight to India. I would like to say a big THANK YOU to a gentleman who provided me with step by step guidance with patience. One of the best customer service I have received so far.
Ridiculous service Whats the point of hiring staff when they don’t attend their phone calls and cant even help out. Clearly taking advantage of us and playing with our time. If you cant do the job then don't stop wasting out time Been trying to call them since they opened, they messed up dates and my visa expires one day before i leave the country when clearly i stated the date i leave Whats the point in going through the whole process when you want to be adding your own dates stop wasting our time
I have spoken to Public Response Unit at Indian Home Office-London today at 10:30. It was an excellent customer services and overall attitude of the officer was very positive, polite and helpful. The officer listen my query very calmly, politely and then responded. I must add here that my call was disconnected , however officer call back straight, clarified and provided clear and transparent responded in regards to my visa application progress. I wish him best of luck in future. Thanks a lot
We live in 2022 where everything is online except services provided by HCI. It is impossible to get appointment for a simple surrender of passport for next 2 months. I got my UK passport from UK govt fully online in 3 weeks whereas HCI requires every application to be in person and there is a ridiculous waiting time before one can even get the appointment. The website feels like it was built when internet was invented. Try calling them and u will be lucky if u get a useful response. HOPELESS
I have been trying to find out why my 18 month old's visa was taking so long to issue. I was helped by the Public Response Unit at High Commission of India. The quality and level of service I got from them was amazing. They took charge of the problem and made sure my son's visa was sorted out in time for us to fly (within next 3 days!). Although the same cannot be said about the whole application processing system, these guys did their utmost to help me in my situation. Thank you very much.
Public Response Unit, High Commission of India, London has one of the most professional, proactive, responsive and customer focused team I have come across in the world of consulates and high commission. We are lucky to have them helping us. They deliver their best each time and every time. The lady I spoke with the last couple of days sorted a big issue I faced speedily and responsibly. It was comforting to find a person whom you could rely on in the wake of urgency. Thank you once again.
My mum went for a paper work, they were disrespectful to her and this is not acceptable. They told her to bring a paper and when my mother asked what is it. They told her “you need to google it, we don’t have time for that. Such behaviour is not acceptable. I read the review and I can see more people have faced same issues. This must get fixed asap. I’ve French and I’ve been to the french embassy and they more respectful and kind and willing to help if we do not understand certain things.
Friendly staff, needed emergency visa, upon calling emergency contact number, officer from public response team guided me what needs to be done, got much needed assurance at critical time. Officer followed up, gave suggestions what to bring and they'll help me out right through. Without any hassle, helped me once upon arrival and visa was issued quickly, I was out of HCI in less than half an hour. Very much pleased about their service, their efforts are very much appreciated. Thank you
So grateful that the High commission did a weekend Consular camp in my Town (Southampton) Applied for my son's OCI and was done in 10 mins. Service was super efficient. On one side you had Embassy staff checking paper work and on the other VFS to processing payments. I have never seen such a quick efficient service before. These are a great idea and is good to see Indian government actively helping citizens/NRI's in their home towns. Its like a mobile Indian High Commission
I was having difficulty obtaining a visa, so I went to the High Commission in London. The Public Response Unit was very helpful and the lady went out of her way to help resolve my problem. All the staff I interacted with at the High Commission, from the security doorman, operations gentleman, public relations lady and visa process lady were all extremely helpful and understanding of my urgent and stressful situation. Together they successfully managed to resolve the issue.
I had travelled from Kenya to get some documents attested, and despite the usual processing times which would have meant I would need to reschedule return, the staff at the high commissions took into consideration my return travel and processed my applications so that I would not have to rebook my return tickets. They were polite and helpful each time I called, and responded to my queries promptly on email too. They have been exceptional in their customer service.
I've just made contact with the high commission and spoke to a man on the phone who was really helpful. A lot of the guidance online still refers to visas and rules that have been put on hold. We've been able to apply for Indian visas very easily in the past but it's so confusing right now. This person from the public response unit was able to guide us through the right procedure and application process. He was very polite and patient and answered all my queries.
The experience with consulate thus far has been so great. I haven't yet had visited the embassy but I spoke to them multiple time (In single day) and each time they were very polite, friendly and patient. They were very informative and supportive. I never had all my questions resolved (100% resolution) over phone but here these people are outstanding. Hopefully my visit to the embassy be as good as my experience over phone.
I am really grateful to the Public Response team of Indian High Commission team in London for assisting with my query and getting back to me instantly with rather a great news. Exceptional Customer service, Quick Response time and very helpful with the guidance. I couldn't stress this enough that by far the best experience I had. I don't know your name Sir but may you keep up the good reputation going forward.
I had a great experience dealing with the Public Response Unit at the India High Commission. The staff were very professional, understood my concern and helped out with a solution. Pages in my passport had run out and had to travel urgently for work. Applied on Friday and got my passport on Wednesday. Could not have expected anything better. Thanks Public Response Unit@HCI for setting such high standards.
After 2 months of failing to book an appointment online I finally decided to visit high commission to get an appointment in person. I met Shadaab who absolutely helped me and showed his professional attitude to understand and resolve the issue. also arranged an appointment for my application. I have received an appointment date and time. I much appreciate all the help and keep it up for shadaab!!!
Worst service and no response. Unfortunately I had to give good service previously but when went face to face they don't accept OCI renewal services of Birmingham in London/Milton Keynes. Lost trust with service and no clarity as appointments are booked but was told first come first serve. Needs co-ordination of what is spoken and delivered between members from High Commission Passport Services.
Called the HCI to check on the status of my passport application status. First there was no waiting, my call was instantly answered and the person who I spoke to was very helpful and patient. He gave me all the information required and took the time to work me through what needs to be done. Additionally, he also called the passport services to check on the application for me. I felt reassured
Website for applying for visa's is not fit for purpose, antiquated, highly inefficient, over complication for no good reason. You cant make an additional application from the same IP address, whats the point for that? Tourist visa is £110, which is excessive seems like a business You will not get through to anyone competent if you call them and actually get to speak with anyone
Just spoke to a gentleman from the Public Response department. The call was picked up very quickly and the gentleman was so polite and helped me immediately. High Commission of India passport services went above to help me. I'm extremely grateful for their assistance and thanks to their quick response. Thanks again for the astounding service, it was greatly appreciated.
Had a really pleasant experience with my visa application. I had called to get a status on my application and the lady who helped me was very efficient and was able to get me updates and push my visa processing through. Also I didn’t have to wait on hold too long and go through a thousand options to speak with someone. It literally took 2 minutes to speak with someone.
Local TESCO operates better than the Indian embassy. High Commission of London is the Worst! They will never answer calls. The VFS service they use does the same. They keep sending you round in circles. But they ensure you don't miss the experience you get visiting Indian Govt offices in India. They bought their same lazy attitude to UK. Well Done!! Shame on you.
Recently I visited the Indian High Commission in London for emergency visa. Officer Mr Saji and the security staff were very polite, considerate and very helpful. It was totally different experience than 2008 when my mother passed away over the weekend and no one listened to me. I had to go to Birmingham to get visa with help of friend. Great improvement. Khosti
I needed an emergency visa (with 4 hours to travel) and a very kind gentleman in the visa services department helped me out. He went out of his way to understand my personal situation and managed to grant me an emergency visa within 2 hours of me going to the embassy and i made it in time for my flight to India. Really thankful and happy for the service offered.
I called up Indian High Commission during Diwali today , I was served by the gentleman over the phone who was extremely helpful who not only navigated me how to obtain an emergency visa but also went out of his way to give further information which was very helpful for me. I thank you Indian High Commission for this beautiful service which means so much to me .
High Commission of India helped me for my application for re-issuing my passport (exhaustion of pages). The service the staff was incredible and warm to help me out in the situation. I would recommend talking to the Public response unit and to the gentleman as he solved all the issues and will help with their 100% to resolve the case as quickly as possible.
I cannot thank them enough. I had a family emergency and had to fly to Indian on a priority basis. The emergency helpline number not only responded quickly but I received all my travel documents in less than 24 hours. I'm in absolute awe and so pleased they helped me in this tricky and rather stressful time. THANK YOU High Commission of India, London.
I just spoke to a gentleman in the Public Response team of HCI London and he was extremely helpful. He gave me detailed information on how to apply using a Paper Visa form via email and the documentation required for my dependents' application to be considered. He was very clear in his communication and gave due consideration to my circumstances.
Called the Public response centre of the Indian Embassy in London, call was picked in one ring by a Gentleman, my question was answered to the point with additional guidance on my passport questions. Excellent!! Moreover guided by the team and the gentleman I got my renewed passport in just 2days. Yipeee!! Outstanding response and work!! Cudos!!
I spoke to a gentleman from the Public Response Unit at the Indian Embassy, London in regards to my child passport. The gentleman was very polite and guided me through my query that was extremely helpful. As promised, he also rang back me to provide further advice after appropriate checking with concerned staff. Thank you so much for your help.
I had an issue with my surrender certificate and called HCI London. A gentleman from the Public Response Unit attended to my query. He was extremely quick at responding and helping me with my issue. He was very friendly, polite and quickly gave a solution. I was not expecting such a great service and was pleasantly surprised. Thank you so much!
Horrible Service, Useless and Rude staff. Better employ some people who value their job. A robot might do a much better job than these people. They NEVER pick up the phone. If you go their in person, they will tell you go check website for further info !!! Employ someone from Pakistan, they will do much better than currently posted thugs.
I needed emergency visa for India. HCI Public Response Unit called me back after a couple of email clarifications. The lady couldn’t give me her name for security reasons but she was great help and explained everything I needed to do in simple terms. The website defo needs a lot more work but the personal touch was fantastic.
They do not answer phone calls it seems. I called up at numerous times and it gave me automated options. I clicked through the options only to find their lines were not available each time I called. It said their lines are open between 8:30am to 5pm, however I called up at 3:30pm on a weekday yet i still got this response...
I recently attended the consular camp held at Glasgow and I was pleasantly surprised by the outstanding support of the HCI officials. I had a different impression of how the officials would behave but the officials of HCI London changed it. They are extremely supportive and approachable. Special Kudos to passport services..
It has always been a pleasure to visit the Embassy for various events I have had a very pleasant experience dealing with the staff over there on the phone as well. The call was attended quickly and the lady was knowledgeable about the subject matter, very helpful to have booked an appointment on my behalf while on the call.
I tried to call high commission of India on the number provided. But no response. Called the number several times for a few weeks! The phone kept ringing for hours but no response at all. I sent my family members passport for renewal in October but haven't heard from them. Not getting response from the emails either.
Indian Embassy - Laziest & most useless embassy in the world. They bought their lazy work culture abroad and make they sure you dont miss their pathetic and lazy attitude you experience when dealing with govt offices in India. They even managed to find similar lazier partner like VFS and operate like a corner shop.
Exceptional Service! I lost my passport in London, I immediately called the emergency line. The lady on that line was very helpful in such a tense situation. The people at the HCI also treated me very well and issued me the emergency certificate the next day after I submitted the documents. Keep up the good work !
I called the Indian High Commission regarding a query for OCI cards and my call was answered promptly. The gentleman I spoke to from the Public Response Unit was polite and helpful, and guided me on what to do. Such a positive experience was unexpected, and I am grateful to this man for the help he provided.
No response to emails. No answer on the phones. No calls backs from voice messages. Pointless. My passport has been with the consular services for almost a month now and I can get no information or response from anyone about it. Will miss my holiday this week as I do not have my passport. Total shambles.
Had to apply for apply for an emergency visa for my cousin as there was a bereavement in the family. The staff were very friendly and courteous. They followed up to check if we had completed the process as the next day was bank holiday weekend. We were very happy with the services. Thank you very much
We were dealing with a family bereavement and needed to arrange visas urgently. The High Commission were very helpful with their guidance and we obtained visas quickly and were able to travel. They were very helpful and polite on the phone and we appreciated all their help in this very difficult time.
I had an urgent issue and the High Commission of India's Visa services went above and beyond to help me. I'm extremely grateful for their assistance and thanks to their quick response I was able to attend a friend's wedding in Delhi! Thanks again for the astounding service, it was greatly appreciated.
Public Response Unit of Indian High Commission London is very helpful. Me and my husband spoke to a lady who is very kind and helpful and because of her i got my passport just on time otherwise i would have missed my next day visa appointment. Thank you ma'am. Just because of her i am giving 5 star.
You book an appointment online with a time slot, then you get a paper token at entry, what's the point of online booking then? No mobile phones or smart watches allowed, when you need to sit there for hours for very slow and ancient processes. And it's cash only! That for sure says something!
Rang up HCI in London regarding my passport renewal today (2nd March) as it had been 3 weeks since I had applied. Was attended by a lady and she was very helpful to confirm the status and that my passport was almost ready to be dispatched. Overall interaction was very good and courteous.
Absolutely atrocious excuse for 'staff'. The reviewer who called them animals is right. Shouting and screaming at each other and at visitors like banshees. If you want the delights of a true to life Indian customer service experience all the way from Mumbai and Delhi then come here.
I'm delighted to share my positive experience with the Indian High Commission in London. The staff was exceptionally helpful, supportive, and provided clear guidance throughout my interactions. Their commitment to assisting and ensuring a smooth process was truly commendable.
Very rude staff! I called to ask a question as the process for sponsorship of a family member is not very clear and the lady was SO unprofessional. She snapped at me, talked over me and cut the call and then no one answered when I called back. Very disappointing experience!
I called Emergency line in early morning and the office listened to my issue and politely responded and followed up with further calls and ensured the passport is processed, considering my family emergency. I really appreciate their help and quick turn-around time.
We called the emergency mobile number of the public response unit of HCI late evening on Friday as my aunt and uncle lost their passports. The gentleman was very helpful and informative. Fortunately we found the passports but are very impressed with the service.
Impossible to get online appointment (trying for last one month) just to surrender the passport.. No one picks up on the contact number. Any cancelled appointments need go via manual route of emailing them, and they update in system which is very inefficient..
Friendly staff. Went for power of attorney attestation and it was over within an hour. It has a free copier machine inside for urgent use and is self operated . Attaching the check list required for power of attorney. Better to take 2 witnesses along with you
Contacted Public response service for my Son OCI. They did a great job. My application was pending for over 6weeks and my travel dates were nearing. They patiently handled my request and worked on it as fast as they could. Thanks team for helping me
The people at the Indian embassy are really helpful. I had my apprehensions prior to coming here. There was a particular lady who guided me over the phone and promptly replied to my email. Overall, the process was smooth because of the helpful lady.
Very unprofessional. They need to have more strategic way of providing good service. You are just lost as the phone are not attended by thier staff. Emails are not answered and clearly this causes distress to people who want to travel to India.
Indian High Commission Building located in India house on Aldwych. It is located in India House on Aldwych, between Bush House, what was Marconi House and Australia House. It faces both the London School of Economics and King's College London.
Very helpful staff. There is a photo copy machine only for those who need it in Emergency however I tried to use it for my personal which was acknowledged professionally. There is a self service photo booth also inside. Their service is good.
My personal experience been really good but at the same time noticed that not everyone been treated same. I have been lucky to be served by a nice lady, I didn't catch her name but she wear glasses. I made a mistake in copying passport page
Absolutely disgusting behaviour by these animals working in these embassies. They have gathered and hired the unwanted individuals in the society and put them in charge of visas and immigration issues. I called to confirm if I need a
There are many more steps to be taken to improve the embassy in London, especially the attitude of the staff working there & waiting times; even after booking an appointment slot. Sir HE Doraiswami kindly look into this. Thank you.
Excellent work ethic, professionaism and responsiveness, especially in the Passport and Consular services section. The best experience I've had with any High Commission/Embassy in the world. My best wishes as a citizen !!!!
I was disappointed with the multiple requests for certificates ,which made process challenging than necessary.Staff needs more guidance and training about the policies and procedures about the whole services they provide.
I had two occasions now when I got in touch with them. Once in person due to an emergency (without an appointment) and once over the phone. I used to work in hospitality and my standards of a good service are quite high!
Excellent and Top class service with prompt and quick reply from Public Response Unit at Indian High Commission London. Executive patiently listened and understood the urgency of OCI transfer and gave the timely update.
Excellent service, great job done by the staff.. If u have all ur documents ready as per the checklist, ur sorted..!! Best part was the security.. ull were too good guys.. strict & friendly.. Did a POA...... …
Worst embassy of all time. I tried to renew my passport but they seemed to do that and when I asked why they said to get out. Now I have been living in the UK for ten years I applied for a British passport.
If I could give minus stars I would, no phone calls are answered, no emails are answered, and no statements saying you cannot get a VISA. If one of the most incompetent embassy I have ever had to deal with.
Smooth and professional service. Used their service for birth certificate and well well. Thanks a lot. Entrance is confusing but you could figure it out from my photos. COVID protocol in place.
Had applied for passport renewal via vfs and the personnel from HCI had called me directly to clarify a few things and process my passport promptly. Greatly appreciate the support received.
High Commission of India London, is where the Indian High Commissioner is based in UK. This office deals with all the official matters concerning the Indian Citizens in UK.
Worst experience ever.Unwanted, useless employees in such an Office. The don't have any idea or knowledge about the services and paper works in their own working area
Visited for a Power of Attorney attestation. All good, just be prepared to face rude Indian officials who will be rude, unhelpful and shout at you for any reason.
Polite and friendly Staff. Went for POA and work done within half hour. Take requested documents (valid address proof) and an extra passport size photo.
Thanks a lot to the visa team for sorting my wife's visa in short time and thanks to the guy at the entrance to being kind and helpful.
