Jane has been our vet for more than 5 years. We are most grateful to Jane and her team for how responsive, kind and caring they have been in treating and helping with all my dogs, two of them are not so approachable at all. Unfortunately one has passed away a few years ago but he had been converted to see Jane as his favorite aunt after the first few visits. Jane will always return my calls, either talking through options of treatment or finding a solution to treat the problem before we can get an appointment to see her. She made sure everything was ready when we got there so that we didn't have to go back for a second time unnecessarily. I had experience with other vets who were completely the opposite. We're really glad to have Jane and her team around when we need them.

After going to 3 other vets about my pup Harlee. I can finally say with relief I’ve found a lifetime vet for her. Dr. Jane. Rickard unlike the others vets I’ve been to did not rush our appointment, she took her time and did the most extensive exam on my pup that we have ever had. She made us take her for a walk while she recorded to make sure Harlee was walking correctly etc, even did a few tests in her practice to eliminate injury as a reason for some of our current issues as oppose to it being a psychological problem. I could not be happier and highly recommend this practice to all fur parents. Thank you so much for the attentive care and attention you provided us with.

I went to Hills District Veterinary Hospital to get my dog treated for a ear infection. Unfortunately, Dr. Jane didn't inform me of the side effects the ear treatment she prescribed that day could have on my dog's hearing which he lost after a few weeks of that treatment. Along with this, Dr. Jane also felt the need to call me to tell me that I "was nuts" to try a gentler approach for my dog skin issues. Those were her words. I never met a vet who would go that length to judge and criticize a dog owner in choosing more alternative routes before heavy drugs. However, I would like to say that not all the clinic staff has behaved in that way.

A big thank you to Cassie, Jane, Olivia, Hayley & Amanda. They have gone above and beyond for my two fur babies Zoey and Leo. I truly do admire their hardwork, always on the go and never fail to provide the best service for their patients and clients. I never have to worry about my two babies as they are in good hands. Professional, kind and loving staff. I always feel so welcomed here. If I ever have to recommend a clinic to someone, this is the first place in mind.

Dr Joan and her brilliant team at the Hills District Veterinary Hospital have shown brilliant care and love for our cats that we have taken to them. I have dealt with many vets over the years and Dr. Joan's veterinary hospital has by far surpassed every other vet with their tenderness and care that they have shown to our cats. I have been going to this vet hospital for 8 years. My dog has seen Cassandra who is so lovely, warm and competent and Jane who is caring; she performed surgery on my dog and Jane is a very competent surgeon. The nurses are always very friendly and I never feel pushed into spending huge amount of money on unnecessary tests like some other practices. I strongly recommend this practice. They even call you to check on your sick pet.

Highly recommend Dr Jane and Dr Cassie at HDVH. Not only do they provide high quality veterinary care, they are friendly, kind and have a wonderful rapport with the animals they treat. Our dog always walks through their doors confident and relaxed. There has also never been any nasty surprises regarding billing, with reasonable prices for their services. I also like that I can book appointments online through their website.

Jane Rickard was recommended by a friend who breeds GSDs for my dogs serious health issues. Both her ongoing passion for the latest in veterinary techniques as well as her genuine compassion really touched us and we wished we had found out about her sooner. It has been an absolute pleasure to bring new members of our (fur) family to this practice because we know they'll always be in the best of care.

HDVH is one in a million when it comes to care. I'm so glad I came across them when I moved to the area, the entire team have been nothing but patient and kind through every interaction. My dogs are treated like their own (very loved), and they're so darn nice!!! Not once have I felt like I've been a bad parent or the like. A huge thank you to all you do, it doesn't go unnoticed

Our doggie wasn't eating or drinking and was in a world of pain, they managed to quickly identify the issue, he stayed under observation and 24 hours later he was his old self. Can recommend this vet to anyone who cares for their animals! Thank you all who cared for Coco!

Amazing service! I always bring my dog and cat, Daisy and Mika, whenever they are experiencing problems or for a regular check up. Dr Cassandra, Dr Jane, and all the nurses are so kind and professional and I always leave satisfied with the service i receive.
