I first came to Holistic Dental Melbourne CBD in 2009 after being turned away from another orthodontist in the CBD. It wasn't just my teeth needed straightening, but I had a very complicated bite and I was nervous I would be turned away again. Holistic Dental were honest with me from our first meeting. They admitted the process to fix my bite was complex and it would take two types of treatment and that was before even straightening my teeth! The good news was they were prepared to take me as a patient and that they could fix my bite without surgery. After expanding my top jaw, correcting my bite and straightening my teeth with braces my smile was then beautifully finished with veneers completing my treatment in 2012. I can't tell you how happy I am with the results. It is way better than I imagined. I feel confident with my smile and don't mind having my photo taken these days either. I am still a patient with Holistic Dental visiting twice a year for a polish and clean. The Holistic Dental team are very passionate about dental care and how they can help you get the smile you want. I have always found them to be informative, professional, educational, and always very gentle with their treatments. I highly recommend a visit for any of your dental needs.

This dentist and staff are second to none. Their customer service, experience, knowledge, professionalism and experience is absolutely amazing. Even Eugene (The receptionist) was professional, insightful and his knowledge blew me away. He confirmed what I needed to do to detox once the work was done. He was able to kindly and patiently answer all my questions on a few occasions before I actually came in for my appt. Dr Prakash and his assistant were so thoughtful, kind and extremely professional. Their set up and camera and monitor was state of the art. He was able to show me exactly what he was doing and tell me why. He was able to safely remove my mercury fillings, which needed to be done precisely and efficiently which not all dentists do. He was also able to do the other work I needed done extremely well. I was even able to watch tv (it was mounted on the roof) while getting the work done that I needed. This distracted me and made the time go so quick. I highly highly recommend Dr Prakash and his staff. Lastly I was even able to get more back than what I had anticipated on my private health insurance....thanks Eugene.

I highly recommend this place. The staff are very considerate and professional. Dr Prakash Kamath is very gentle and professional. He explains everything in a very detailed manner and my surgery is done very smoothly without much pain. The receptionist also went beyond to check if I was anxious before the surgery and gave detailed instructions for after-care. She is very good calming me down and making sure that I am in a good condition. When we were on the phone, she detected my hesitation and anxiety for not catching up with her words. Then she kindly repeated her explanation and made me feel at ease voicing any of my concerns or if I don’t understand anything. I was really touched at that moment. In sum, it was a very nice experience at Holistic Dental. I feel very lucky to find this place at the end of 2020 and get my dental surgery done very soon as the receptionist tried hard to find a time to fit me in. Thank you to you all. :)

I recently had four wisdom teeth removed by Dr Prakash Kamath at Holistic Dental in Melbourne CBD. I truly can’t thank Dr Prakash enough for everything he did for me. I was very scared about the procedure and he completely calmed my nerves, answered my millions of questions so thoroughly and took very good care of me throughout the whole procedure to make sure I had no pain. He is a very skilled and knowledgeable dental surgeon, I will recommend him to everyone I know. A big thank you to Nurse Anne for being wonderful in my procedure as well, she was a brilliant nurse and comforted me throughout. Also another thank you to Mel and Ray for always being so wonderful and supportive at the clinic and on the phones when I rang. I had very bearable pain post surgery, what you would expect if not less. Price was fantastic as well.

This is by far the best Dentist I have ever been to by a long mile! I had a serve tooth infection that required an emergency extraction and although I had never been to Holistic Dental previously, the receptionist Eugene was both extremely helpful and empathetic towards my situation. Eugene was knowledgeable, very friendly and has a remarkable compassion that is very hard to come by. I was able to be slotted in for an extraction that very same afternoon. The dentist, Dr. Kamath, explained the procedure calmly and clearly and ensured I completely understood everything. He was extremely patient and gentle as I was very anxious about the extraction. My wisdom teeth issues were resolved completely after a week of healing and the prices were very reasonable. This is an exceptional dentist and I recommend it to all.

I have no bad words to say about the te at Holistic Dental. I came to them with a tooth that needed to be pulled and Dr. Prakash made sure the process went smoothly and was gentle..I am scared of needles in my mouth. But the team were understanding and took it slow. At my check up, Dr Prakash recommended Invisalign. I begun to go every 2 weeks until my teeth straightened. They were very professional and even helped me uber some aligners to my work when I couldn't go in! Dr Prakash explains everything and makes it easy to understand. I also love the TV on the ceiling as it helps to distract and calm me! Thank you for helping me to actually like going to the dentist again!

I had two wisdom teeth removed with them after trying to find a dentist who would be able to perform the surgery as it was more complex than usual and I did not want to go to hospital. They were amazing! The staff are friendly, kind and professional and the removal was performed incredibly well. Eugene the receptionist is brilliant, he helped me with all my questions and really made me feel at ease. Dr Kamath talked me through the surgery and made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure and recovery process; I had very little swelling and healed really well. If you are looking for a skilled dentist I highly recommend Dr Kamath and his team.

This is my first dental check up in Melbourne. I felt a bite nervous in the beginning, but the reception lady were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. She made me feel so relax when I came into the center. On the other hand, thank you for Dr. Prakash professional check up and solved my sore gum problem and found out another story on my teeth. Dr. Prakash examined my teeth and explained to me about my teeth issues in details. He is very kind, calm and funny. He changed my old feeling related to visiting dentist. Additionally, the price is reasonable! And the center locates at only 6 mins walk from Parliament station, very convenient!

Superb on every level ! I’ve been a patient of Holistic Dental for number of years and cannot imagine going elsewhere. The modern premises and equipment is only a small part. Overall, a great experience on each occasion, where everyone at the practice is knowledgeable, professional but also friendly and caring - from the moment you walk in, to the time you leave after all your questions and queries have been answered. I have been coming to Holistic Dental CBD for few years now and my experience has always been very pleasant. Friendly and welcoming environment and will make sure patients are feeling comfortable. Dr Prakash is thorough when doing the examination and he always make sure treatments were not rushed and is also very patient with young children. Staff even helped rocking my baby in the pram when I was on the chair (thanks Mobin!). Now that my children are older, though none of us are a fan of dentists but we all don't mind coming to have our checkups with Dr Prakash.

From regular cleanings to surgery to crowns and veneers. They always make sure you're informed about what they do - and what it's going to cost. Whether it's really necessary or can be put off or is optional. Especially important: if you are already jittery about injections, the good folks must have special training. Not in all my long years have I felt numbing shots so little! :-)

I had 4 wisdom teeth removed under local anaesthetic and I expected it to be a lot worse than it actually was. Dr. Kamath was great at making sure I felt no pain and the procedure went very smoothly. Eugene at reception was great at calming nerves which made the whole experience very easy. Recovery was very fast too, I was able to get back into my normal routine by the 4-5th day. I've been visiting Holistic Dental for 3 years, and have been very happy with the service received. Reasonably priced, well equipped and the staff is amazing. My visits started with a molar extraction and replacement with an implant. Dr. Prakash did a great job and the procedure was smooth. I also had difficult fillings done with success. Over the last few months I’ve had fillings on my two front teeth, a scale & clean, x-rays, my mercury fillings replaced and a crown. Dr Prakash thoroughly explained the procedures prior and also during treatment. I was extremely pleased with the results and felt very comfortable.
