I really felt the need to review the poor and unfriendly service I've gotten at this specific Home Goods on Sharon Road in Charlotte, NC. This is the 2nd/3rd time I've been to that store in the last 2 weeks, and there is a clerk there who should NOT have the job she has interfacing with customers. She is rude and snippy and unfriendly - if you smile at here and say hello she says nothing back. She seems absolutely miserable and appears to hate her job. And you know what? If you hate people that much you probably should NOT be working the counter at Home Goods. This evening, I went in to return an item I purchased over the weekend. I walked to her register, cheerfully said "hi, how are you - I'm just returning this one item"...and placed my bag on the counter. She did not greet me, did not even make eye contact, and rudely said "take the items out of the bag". The cashier number on the receipt says "1036" - no name. But I sincerely hope the manager of this store sees this post and explains to this cashier that a big part of the job is courtesy and customer service. NO excuse for being that rude and miserable.

Beautiful store. Very friendly staff. Great products. Amazing prices. Fast check out line. Only issue (wont mark my star rating down for this though) I was trying to check the price of a candle holder set on the clearance shelf. It was already missing one of the glass candle holders and I couldnt find the price sticker. I picked it up to look under it not knowing the candle holders were not held down and one of the remaining two fell and shattered. I waited for a staff member to come by which they did with a broom... and while cleaning it I thanked her and apologized for my clumsiness and she had the nerve to ask me if it had a price tag on it as if she were going to try to charge me for the broken clearance item.... I told her yes it did in fact and it was on the bottom of the poorly secured candle stand but that that was the problem. Annoyed, but didnt ruin my trip. However, please take a but more time and care with your clearance items and price labeling... I'm not paying for a mistake on your part.

I really like Home Goods. On this particular day they were fully stocked ... so it's fun to browse. Our group of three bought 5 or 6 items - 2 large pictures, 2 small artificial plants, and something else that I can't remember. We were hanging one of the large pictures ... pretty heavy ... and the hangers tore out of the frame from the weight of the picture. The frame was absolute garbage of some sort. So ... although the picture was quite attractive, the frame was of such pitiful quality that we could not hang the art work and had to return it. Thankfully we did not get it hung only to have it rip the hangars out of the frame and crash to the floor. So ... a warning ... maybe don't buy any heavy pictures?

I love HomeGoods. The staff at the register was super nice and the wait in the checkout line was not too long. Found some lovely fall pillows, a cozy throw and some other “fall” themed items. Also found a hysterical coffee mug set of the Golden Girls for a friend who loves them. The store is always a little cluttered but never feels dirty — just the nature of everything they carry that it’s a visually “busy” store. Surprised to see a little Christmas holiday items start to arrive. Check out the SouthPark store if you haven’t been by lately.

Always love this store. During the holidays is a little dangerous to visit. I mean that literally. They packed the store so much that people where knocking stuff over and I witnessed as an item fell on top of a lady that was shopping. Getting a shopping cart was definitely out of the question since there was barely space to walk through. I would love for this store to be bigger but that’s more than likely not going to happen. It has great variety of items. You can find decorations, cooking items, furniture, and more.

Typical with other HomeGoods store, the quality is very good while the price is excellent. The space is pretty cramped, corridors are smaller, its pretty hard to navigate, and at times it may looks chaotic and untidy. But overall, it is still an excellent place to shop in Charlotte. Lots of toys, rugs, pillows, kitchen utensils, decorations, paintings, and so on. All with very reasonable pricing. The staff is helpful and they work quite efficiently in clearing the lines.

HOME GOODS IS SUCH A GREAT PLACE TO GO. ESPECIALLY AT CHRISTMAS TIME, WHICH IS NOW. KEEP. LPOKING AT WHAT THEY GET IN. EVERY FEW DAYS THERE ARE MORE THINGS.JUST BECAUSE YOUR HOME GOODS IS OUT OF SOMETHING YOU LIKED. THE NEAREST HOME GOODS TO THIS ONE MIGHT HAVE IT. WHEN YOU TRAVEL OUT OF STATE, CHECK OUT THEIR HOME GOODS TOO. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU MIGHT FIND....THEIR RETURN POLICY IS VERY EASY. JUST KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AND RETURN IT. IN 30 DAYS , IF NEEDED.

Needed gift wrap and cards- thought I could quickly find some at Home Goods. I did. But waited in line for check out 30 min. And while waiting I saw a very large german cockroach crawling across the floor. I quietly told an employee who was unpacking a shipment. She responded by saying “i know you’re frightened and so am I”. What?! Should have left right away as those bugs are hitchhikers. Guess I will not need ANYTHING from there since that’s the attitude.

The store is very crowded, customers were backed up a lot. I put my couple items back. It wasn’t worth going in that long line. They are probably short staff members and that’s why the store looks so sloppy and backed up. Whenever I’m in Charlotte I like to go by here, but I’m beginning to not like this particular Home Goods anymore, and now that we have one where I live, that one is a whole lot better.

Typical stuff but nothing I needed today. This particular location needs to spend some time in their bathroom. No toilet paper no hand soap. Trash all over the floor. Yet they pay somebody to count how many people are walking in the door and I counted four people behind the cash registers with only two people checking out. I love me some home goods but this location needs some help.

I was there a year ago and found that, while the items they offered were nice and reasonably priced, there just wasn't much inventory. I've been told that other locations have a consistently higher inventory than this location and I hope to get to one. Otherwise this is a good shop for just checking things out when you don't have anything particular in mind.

This store was so cramped you could barely navigate. The selection was decent but it felt cramped and unorganized. The line was insane. I think they just need help like every other place around. I really feel if they had enough help that they could do a lot to improve. It was a cute store and had some cute items. Just need a little more room.

Came here to buy some area rugs, ended up finding an awesome tv stand that we purchased as well. The staff were great to us, especially an associate by the name of Brandon, who took the rugs off of the display and rolled them up for us, and also got the rather large tv stand into our truck. Could not ask for better service, highly recommend!

I have been to many Home Goods stores in different states, this was one of the worst I’ve ever been in. Store shelves were messy, you couldn’t get a buggy thru a lot of the isles, things not priced, carts left in middle of the isles, long checkout lines. I felt like I was on a scavenger hunt in a place that had been ransacked.

After the dry cleaners made my comforter a very clumpy mess I was on the hunt for a new lightweight quilt. I stopped by HomeGoods and much to my delight found two quilts that I absolutely loved. In fact I love them so much I bought both and will take them home and see which one looks the best. Another big win at home goods!

Better Location? Or Better Seasonality? Reviewed another location a while back, that while staff members were personable, the stock and store functionality were subpar. Today's experience at this location was very good. Same goodnatured service, but great product availability and speedier checkout.

I do like this homes goods although it seems the space is too small. They usually have a lot of things piled up everywhere, falling on the floors, etc. decent selection of goods- have been to others with more expansive items but this one is fine and the employees are very nice and always helpful!

Amazing Place Alot of Good Items they Have, First time Visit the Staff were helpful and Friendly. At First I was like Its a Small Home Goods but when you Enter it blows your mind of so many things they Have Pricey but Not so Cheap lol Just right.

When you purchase something here without a tag good luck returning or exchanging it, stood at the register for 30 minutes before they did something…. Last time I am in this homegoods. Judy and Bianka were very rude. Just very frustrated!!!

Everyone was excellent except an Africa america worker, I'm a lady of color and he wouldn't load my heavy piece, but the Caucasian young man was more than happy to help me. I'm disabled, but other than that everyone was just great.

Great products at great prices. Nicer than ours in Clearwater FL. Staff is extremely helpful. We live an hour away and have been there almost every weekend. We are firnishing a new empty home and each week we find new treasures!!

Great selection in this store and the employee do a great job of keeping it organized...but I had to leave the store twice without paying because the checkout line is always a mile long so you have to wait in line for 15+ minutes

the manager is very helpful and nice her last name is Patel. She helps us a lot this our favorite store .we applied for the credit card and we save money and got the reward also I recommend this store come in enjoy your purchase

I love this homegoods but, need to take care of the restroom it is so disgusted! I went there first thing in the morning and it looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in two days. Tissue everywhere trashcan so full! Not acceptable

Manager was super nice here! We just asked for a price check on a rug that had no tag and since he couldn't find the tag either, he gave it to us for the same price as a similar sized rug we also had in the cart!

Is there ever a bad HomeGoods? I don’t think so. The staff is pleasant & helpful. Don’t be intimated by a long line, it moves quick & while waiting in line, the people waiting with you are also friendly.

Tremendous selection. Very clean and well organized. Great customer service. The aisles are clear and easy to navigate. The lines at check out can get long, but it usually goes quickly. Awesome prices.

I love home goods. This location is pretty small, but they pack the goods in. I wish their dishware section was a little larger, but no complaints from me. They also let you bring your dog in!!

They were putting out the Fall / Halloween decor and I wanted it all ! They have a great selection and wide variety of decor and homegoods. I could've gone broke in there! …

This place is great. Fun to walk around. They usually have what you're looking for. The only fault I have is they often move things around, and I sometimes find broken items in the store.

Open today, July 4th, until 8pm! Always a nice shopping experience. And cashiers are pleasant and take their time wrapping your breakables in paper, even when extremely busy.

Love this store! Lots of variety so if you see something buy it because it will be gone! I looked everywhere for a white quilt and found one there at an unbelievable price!

Absolute joke of a store. The line wrapped around to the rear of the store, then went along the rear aisle to the far right of the store. Miserable place to shop.

Love their selection of home items. You can always find something neat to buy here! Wish their were more food items as compared to a Marshalls or TJMaxx.

Manager is combative and rude when you try to return something. The issue wasn’t even my fault. Cashier Simone was very nice though.
