I was thinking to change my old coffee table. I had browsed several major furniture stores in Toronto for a while, and found for delivery charge of such item, it would be almost equal to half value of the item. I do not feel comfortable about this. Finally, one of my friends recommended Homemay furniture and told me they do free delivery. However, after looked at their reviews on Google, I lost my interesting. Things turned upside down, when I passed by this store and dropped in. This store is quite different for other furniture stores I have visited. It has no any internal decoration. It’s a little like a warehouse, crowed with different kind of furniture: Beds, Mattresses, sofas, dining sets, TV tables…of course, every kind of furniture was still displayed in certain order . I have keen eyes on products’ quality and prices. Before store owner Dave came out to meet me, I realized that in terms of same or similar style and quality, their prices maybe 20 to 25% lower than most of other furniture stores. Owner Dave is a warm guy, a bit talkative. He seems to be very good at exploring customers’ real needs and interests. With his help, I located a coffee table from one of their catalogues. It’s true, they do free delivery even total order value under $200. Later, I bought another double mattress from them which price was $130 less than in other store I saw. I was happy with all my 2 purchases. Definitely, I will have more purchases from this store in future.

WORST place ever! We bought a Queen mattress from them and we have never had a good sleep in it. To get rid of it is going to cost us money! Ugh. Then, I ordered a bedframe from them (because I was hoping the bed would feel better in a nice frame; and because I'm stupid to order from them a second time). I placed my order on-line.... did NOT receive a receipt. Emailed them 3 times - no reply. Finally phoned them, they confirmed they had my order and confirmed my shipping date - yes, they brought it in from another warehouse, it was there for me. Three days before delivery I confirmed with that they were coming - yes, they had it marked on the calendar. The morning of delivery, I texted to confirm with them the time frame that I had the elevator booked. They ghosted me. I texted 3 more times - no reply. I finally phoned him and David said that another customer came in a couple of days earlier and so they sold it to that person. WTF. Then he tried to sell me all kinds of other stuff that was completely not my taste. Eventually he hung up and blocked me. Never ever ever will I ever buy from a company like that again. Never.

I had been looking for a good mattress for my parents who suffered from back pain. Having done quite a few researches online and visited quite a few stores, I decided to go to Homemay Furniture following the recommendation from one of my friends. The store looks old and not very impressive. However, I was deeply shocked at the the prices and variety of their furniture. Compared to the price of The Bricks and even Ikea, their prices are very much affordable, and the quality is even better. I purchased a queen-size mattress and a high-quality bed frame, paying actually half price of the same products offered by other furniture stores. The owner of the store is a very nice man. He was very friendly and patient, showing me around the store, spending over one hour introducing different products to me. He also offered free delivery to my house which is over 50 kilometers away from his store, which is impossible if I had bought them from any other stores. I am very satisfied with their products and services. Highly recommend this furniture store.

I've bought two bed room sets, two mattresses, and a dinning table for my new house from David. Good quality, good service, and good price. David, the owner, is a nice person and answers the questions you need. He is not a native English speaker, so you won't expect typical sales pitch in fluent English as you do at other stores, but you can tell he carefully listens to your need and recommend the furniture that fits your place. I would say, if you are a customer looking for value, want good-quality furniture with price about 20% below other stores like Leon's, Ashley, The Brick, Structube, etc, this is the place to go! On the other hand, if you are the type of customer looking for luxurious shopping experience, beautiful store decoration, dedicated professional sales around you in suit & tie, and most importantly, be willing to pay 20-40% premium for the store rent, decoration costs, and sales commission etc. then you may swap value for your pursuits.

Purchased sofa and cabinet, paid $200 deposit, and would pay the rest on delivery. When they arrived at the lobby, they were asking for money just arrived, or they would leave! Man, I have paid $200 and of course I would take the furniture and pay! I am living in a condo, and how can I run away?! The cabinet is full of scratches, the drawer is hardly to close completely. At the beginning, David and his partner just put both inside my unit, not even unwrapped the boxes! After bargaining, they only unwrapped the cabinet and left the sofa there, and told me to install by myself, as they could not do it for free! When I purchased in his store, David told me he would assemble the cabinet and sofa for free. Now, he only assembled cabinet and left. Very unprofessional! Even the price is cheap, not worth, especially the quality is not good!

Buying from this store was a huge mistake. Unfortunately, I did not check out reviews before parting with so much money. He was not only rude. He also delivered a defective/sub-standard products. While he was delivering, we (including him) saw the defects and he refused to take them back. Also, he refuses to open his van to see what he has brought or start delivering until he receives full payment. (That tells you something) After collecting full payment, he delivers defective and extremely low quality furniture and right there refuses to take them back or change them. I feel duped. Do yourself a favor. Always check the reviews. If he promises you warranty, forget it; it is a lie!!! He gave me a year warranty on paper. Save yourself some trouble and avoid this seller like a plague.

I’ve ordered from them multiple times. First time I bought a queen mattress and frame, all very affordable. It didn’t cost more than $300 and they offer free shipping as well. The delivery man forgot my mattress when he showed up so he went back all the way to the warehouse and brought it the same night. Really appreciated that. Second and third time I ordered twin mattresses from them and I have to say I’ve been impressed with the service each time- when the delivery guy was not available, the owner brought the mattress to me himself from North York all the way to downtown Toronto and I was very impressed. Will continue to order from them- Prices are worth the quality of the products- if you want $1000 comfort go to Leon’s. This place is incredible. Thumbs up.

Would give No STARS if I could. Went to showroom after reading about it on Kijiji Ad and all the items on the ad weren't even built. After asking about delivery was fine with purchase. Asked 3 times if my small 10 dollar fee to deliver up 3 flights of stairs was enough was told yes over and over. When delivery arrived one guy was delivering and after phone chats back and forth with Lisa whom I purchased the sofa from she pawned me off the her attack dog David, who after explaining the problem said "what do you expect for 10 bucks." and then asked me a man with a bad back to help. Only because of a nice fellow tenant of the building did I actually get my sofa. David was the rudest owner of a business I have ever dealt with and I will never shop here again.

Let me be frank: if you want good customer service, go to IKEA or some other larger establishment. I know the owner personally and he is short-tempered, often disorganized and overwhelmed, and will either speak to you rudely or deliver your product slightly late, or both, unless you’re incredibly lucky. Given the low product price, decent product quality, and free delivery within the GTA, the real price you pay will be a few brain cells. Choose Homemay Furniture if your need for furniture is not urgent, and if you have above-average patience. David (the owner) is not unreasonable, but can be impatient. Just remember, after you put up with the below-average service for a couple of days, you’ll get to enjoy quality furniture for years to come.

I recently did business with this place and I wish I didn't. The owner David is absolutely rude, has no concept of what good customer service is. My delivery was late by 2hr 30mins, and once David arrived with my furniture he was completely rude, he left the bedroom furniture for me to bring upstairs myself. I also asked him if he could wait 5 mins so I can make sure that all the pieces were in fact in the box, he rudely told me that he did not have that time and that he had other things to do, even though he was late by a couple hours. If you are considering buying your furniture there please don't. If I had known this was the kind of service I would have received I would have taken my money to a place where they value customer service.

Stay away from this store! The store owner David was very rude and unprofessional. I bought a seasonal sofa he assembled it on his own and one leg is very loose, he said he would help us to get the replace part changed but four weeks passed, he never replied. I called him couple times, he either did not pick up my phones or told me not to call him again. I feel like after the business is done, he never recognized you. And keep promising something over the phone but never happened. He never cared customers. He uses low prices to attract customers by selling cheap and poor quality products. Be aware of this store and keep away from him.

Found this retailer on kijiji. Went to the store. Purchased a dresser. It was delivered the next day and it was scratched. It was the floor model. I specifically asked during the purchase if it would be the floor model. He said no and had a cheeky remark about "not having time to put together a new floor model& you are getting a brand new dresser." Of course we paid full price and were duped. I wish I read these reviews earlier. They are all factual. I'm lucky I even received an item (albeit the wrong item). When I spoke to him he was defensive and rude. In my opinion, stay away from this place.

The owner is a lying thief. I sent in a text regarding a mattress and box spring . Went into the store and tested the mattress it was firm and in gold color . So we bought the mattress. Upon delivery the mattress was completely different it was white and so soft you can feel the coils when you lay on it . I contacted the owner for an exchange and that he delivered the wrong mattress. He ignored all my text and calls . As he knows he was in the wrong . So I had file a a dispute with the Better Business Bureau. Do not buy from this lying thief. Cheap quality

Very rude people. Be careful As soon as I paid a deposit they became rude They delivered my furniture 3 weeks late and were yelling at me if I called to ask for eta David the owner intimidated my sister when she was only one at home waiting for delivery. He yelled and used very bad language. Even then only half the furniture arrived. I cancelled the rest of my order and he charged me $300 for that. I was charged full taxes and he does not want to give me a receipt. David said if he gives me a receipt he has to pay the HST to the government. I was shocked

I bought 2 mattresses and a dining set from Homemay Furniture recently. They are in very good quality with super reasonable price. David is so helpful to introduce the furniture meeting our needs. I'm really satisfied with the Dreamstar mattress he recommended. That mattress costs me several hundreds but can be compared with very pricey ones. Free delivery is absolutely fabulous. The dining set is over 100 lbs. The delivery guy helped us move it to the dining room. I definitely recommend Homemay to my friends.

I have taking legal action as up till 10 June 2020 the replacement requested on 24th April 2020 hasn't still been sent. And the Asian delivery man has been rude and horrific. I've had to legally demand a replacement with Lawyers today 10th june 2020. They sell sub standard products and they don't honor replacements policy conveniently . Boycott shop or you could buying the same furniture twice and only own 1.

Very unprofessional, estimate delivery time is way off, David is a joke of a man and the kids he sends out to deliver and assemble don't even have tools. Little boy asked me for a hammer?!?! are you seriously asking me for a hammer, and I'm suppose to pay you extra to put my bed frame together??? Go somewhere else and don't waste your time and money on this company

Affordable prices. Excellent services and products. I have bought six pieces of furniture from this store, and they offered free delivery to my home. They even helped me move the furniture to my house which is located at the third floor without elevator, and helped me install the beds and desks. From now on I will always go there to buy furniture if I need any.

David is unhonest, he has unsafe work habits for his workers, no training, forces the people that work for him to climb up onto top of the metal holding the furniture without any harness or safety equipment, he sells customer furniture even if damaged, calls it a “little scratch” and the lady there is unprofessional and rude

Filed a complaint on better business bereau. They took my money did not deliver my dining table.. When called they said they did and just hung up. Their manager david is literally a fraud and cannot be trusted. Absolutely horrendous people. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them they are frauds.

no frills place. bought a very nice memory foam mattress for $300 all in ncluding delivery. If you know what you want and you are not stupid, good place to check out. David was cool with me, if you want someone to kiss your butt go to a big retail store and pay triple the price.

Hi everyone we bought a sofa set from homemay furniture and within few months the foam of the armrest went on the side and the sofa started making noise. But never got a good response from the manufacturer. So please dont buy any item from this store. The owner is very rude.

Got delivery after they rescheduled it 3 times. Unwrapped my table and it was all scratched. Called to exchange,but they hanged up and said it's not their business. Couldn't reach them ever since. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! ESPECIALLY DAVID!!!

Very poor delivery service. The guy was very rude, demanding the remaining payment before even taking the merchandise out of the vehicle. Asked him to help me move the remaining order into the house and he said no, that he has to go, and left.

I bought some furnitures (bed, mattress and sofa) few months ago, the price was very affordable for new items and the quality is good. The delivery was very fast (the same day and free). I liked it I highly recommend this store.

I got a brand new double mattress and boxspring for 212.00 including delivery. I couldn't be happier. Courier was courteous and helped me get it up the stairs to my apartment. Cash only for deliveries. In super happy.

The furniture doenst have a good quality. I bought a sofa, mattress and frame. The frame fall into pieces. Its cheap, so is the quality. The owner David is being rude to his black guy helper.
