Supermarket
"WARNING! Health hazard, Awful"
"If you are black you just might want to avoid this store"
"Prices are better than the Chinatown supermarket in downtown Kansas City"
"I give this place 4 stars because, the employees are super friendly, they have a decent selection of products for a reasonable price, they also have a good selection of vegan meatless options"
"I am not very sure but I think this place used to be an ALDIS when I was a kid, this was more than 15 years ago so I cant remember well, also havent been to this place since then but I could swear it was an ALDI"
WARNING! Health hazard, Awful. Also Cashier tried to cheat me ringing up multiple items "by mistake". When I called it to her attention she says oops, but tried it again three more times to overcharge me. Also, I bought several frozen items : shrimp wontons, imperial shrimps, and dim sum fish products and every thing I bought had gone bad. When I thawed it I coould tell immediately it was spoiled. I dont know how they can stay in business. Overcharging their customers, being rude, and selling spoiled fish and shrimp. WARNING!
If you are black you just might want to avoid this store. Walked in with my mom for our first visit and one associate followed us into every aisle. If we split up he went back and forth between the aisles. He was watching us so much he tripped over things and bumped into other customers. There were at least another 6 people in the store. We went from one side to another just to make sure we weren't losing our mind and proof, there he was. Poorly lit, no price labels, and the produce looked iffy. Will never go back.
Prices are better than the Chinatown supermarket in downtown Kansas City. It’s a decent sized store & usually has the things you need. I just was kinda bugged that it seemed like we were being followed around to make sure we weren’t stealing or something. When we asked were something was they couldn’t really help us because of a language barrier. It can pretty time consuming looking for things you need because things aren’t labeled & most things are put on the shelves in boxes.
I give this place 4 stars because, the employees are super friendly, they have a decent selection of products for a reasonable price, they also have a good selection of vegan meatless options. You can get a bahn mi for 3$ which is tasty. The cons are #1 expired food, seriously check the date on every food item, #2 they have no vegetarian options on the menu. This place is not as good as China town, nor has nearly as much options, but its good for the staples.
I am not very sure but I think this place used to be an ALDIS when I was a kid, this was more than 15 years ago so I cant remember well, also havent been to this place since then but I could swear it was an ALDI. They used to sell cheap buckets of icecream for like 3 bucks and a pack o chocochip cookies for like 80 cents... Good old times :'), someday maybe someday if god wants to and I live long enough I will return to this place my hometown.
I don't know what an Asian supermarket is suppose to be like so I cant say whether or not it's an accurate representation. If I had to describe it using one word it would be random. They have a very wide variety of products for sale from cowboy boots to dried bananas. The employees were very nice they even help customers to their vehicles. As far as customer service goes they get were fantastic I'm just not big on the product selection.
Medium size store focused mostly on dry goods and frozen items. Needs more fresh vegetables options and better signage. Products don't have prices or names posted so if you are not familiar with an item you can't look it up. This store gives strong NY city vibes where stores are older/not well kept and people are not as friendly.
Obviously an older building and in need of repair. However walking in to this place makes me feel like I just walked into a grocery store in Hong Kong. The selections of noodles, sauces, and rice is quite overwhelming. If you like to experiment with authentic Asian flavors, this is the place.
I love Hong Kong market. A large variety of Asian food with even some delicacies sprinkled in there like durian frozen fruit bars and preserved duck eggs. Fresh produce and meats can be found with common domestic goods and tiny treasures in every corner of this small but essential store.
The owner is Vietnamese, she is very rude most of the time. It is a decent sized grocery store with variety, but the store feels dirty, especially since there is food that can ordered now. But I probably wouldn't order any food from there because the environment seems unsanitary.
Love goainga here to buy large bag of rice and other items that aren't in regular grocery stores. Besides groceries they also have pots and pans, dishes, and other items for your kitchen. A great one-stop store to buy everything you need, including meat, to fix Asian dishes!
Hot food bar is not open. Very helpful and friendly staff, but not enough selection of mung bean and red bean cakes. Protip: Don't buy anything with durian in it unless you know what you're doing, it's a very acquired and "exotic" taste.
If you're looking for Vietnamese ingredients, this supermarket has an excellent selection considering it's size. When it comes to getting items for Vietnamese food, I prefer this over China Market or Hung Vuong. It quieter, easier to
Not impressed by customer service. They are Vietnamese and are very friendly towards their Vietnamese customers and talk for at least half an hour before they actually ring up their stuff and send them on their way.
A hole in the wall grocery specializing in Vietnamese ingredients. Canned and dried ingredients, different types of ramen and noodles, China and cooking utensils and some fresh groceries. I place I go.weekly
Big store, smells terrible, pretty good selection. Don't come here if you want to meet asian girls though. There aren't very many female employees and also not very many female customers for some reason.
One of my favorite Asian markets to go to. They have a variety of ramen noodles, seasonings, sauces, and even my favorite childhood snacks. The cashiers there are always nice and welcoming.
I was just looking around for something different. They had every kind of noodle, and seasoning you might want. No Chinese mustard, that hot stuff is prolly an American buffet item.☮️
Great Chinese groceries products. Ingredients like teriyaki, soy sauce and other packet spices you can add on to meat products to create Chinese dishes. I love this store.
Dont like the location but they sell a lot of international foods. Catering to the Asian/Oriental ethnic foods. They also cater to the Pacific Islanders.
Love this place so much , its a great place to get asian food and snacks! Also good for getting all kinds of fish and meat!! Really recommend this place
Came in there looking for vegetables SEVERELY lacking. Picked up a few odds and ends and realize they only pay 5.6% tax on food. INTERESTING …
Lots of stuff. I have no clue what it's for. But, don't have to go all the way downtown for miso or any other thing. Have to ask for some pricing.
The garlic chilli sauce I bought had been expired for 2 years. An employee also told me that sweet rice was the same as sushi rice, It's not!
A little pricey on specific asain spices or food, bit overall a good recommendation for those looking for an outhenic asian meal or beverage.
Ladies are always nice and very helpful with finding items. On somethings they are cheaper than the other Asian markets by City Market.
The workers were friendly and helpful. HK becomes our new favorite. It reminded me of Da Xing in Tigard Oregon.
Staff is extremely rude and there is no pricing any where so it's a guising game on what prices are on anything
Went in looking for a western union. Didn't have one. But it has tons of stuff eastern! Wow. Really neet.
Good prices they need to Mark the prices on their shelves sometimes you don't know how much something is
Great Asian store. But they have few items. Mostly Thai or Cambodian. No king car or Assam black tea.
The people that work here are very nice, a large variety of oriental products, and reasonable prices
I highly recommend Hong kong supermarket.. They have what you need to prepare your oriental Dishes..
Far fewer items than hoped to find, prices were not high, but not low enough to entice me to return.
I live right behind this place and it's so annoying being listening this satanic music all the time
Big roomy store. Staff is friendly and helpful. I like going here better than the ones downtown.
It’s ok,but I went and got some frozen wontons and at home I saw that they EXPIRED 3 YEARS AGO
Not the biggest selection but really nice. Found everything I needed and at a Good price.
I did not go here but my phone says that I did. Its probably better than I thought.
Excellent customer service great people great boots and other stuff …
Had a good selection of almost everything you could think of. I would come back
Cute little Asian market with reasonable prices and a little of everything.
Cleaner and smelled clean than other similar markets. Nice and helpful.
Didn't have the selections I was looking for but it's got a good stock.
Not a flashy place but a good selection. Polite help at the register.
They have alot of different stuff for the price you are looking for..
Muy bueno en productos que escasamente se ven en otros supermercados
Need a whole case of thai tea for my husband. He LOVES thai tea.
Don't Have what I need most of the time and prices are too high!
They followed me n my girl all around the store this place sucks
Vietnamese market small but people are friendly and helpful.
Nice small market, specializing in Asian food, and brands.
Fun. True learning experience. Lotsa fun items to try !!
The owner will , I mean will work with you on anything!!
Very good place it's so quiet and people are nice there
Bring a friend and dive deep into another culture.
Best Ramen selection around, same goes for rice.
First time going an i was very dissapointed ...
Various amount of tropical food from Hong Kong.
Small. Some products have limited availability
The service from the Chinese owners was great!
I love that Asian store you get all you need.
It's ok. To shop, but the place looks dirty .
The best place to go to get your clothes from
Amazing neighborhood store! Very nice staff!
Small place but had what we were looking for

Good selection of hard to find groceries.
