The only good&true thing about this hotel was its position. TV was a satellite one, but asian-sized (4 inches), picture quality beyond bad. Breakfast were there, but kinda poor, with very limited choice of food (far from the fancy pictures on the hotel's website). Door handle was falling apart, toilet was slightly broken too, as well as the trail for the curtains was only praying to hold up for a few more uses. The room was not free when we choose it to be free, we had to leave it earlier than what was stated on the booking portal too. However the worst thing was, the DUST in the room. I am an allergic person, after pretty much a successfully treatment, but I could not spend 3 minutes in the room without going crazy. Bed,curtains, anything I touched was killing me, overdosing with pills did not help either. I used to live in dormitories cleaned once in 4 months and I was NOWHERE near to this state. There was even dirt on the carpet left. I complained, but I was NOT offered ANY solution at all (it is true that the stuff is nice, but that;s probably 'cause it costs nothing, unlike cleaning rooms more often) recommended to all dust and dirt lovers out there, if you are allergic, you may die

I’ve had it with Europe and their lack of air conditioning. First world prices for third world services. They charge outrageous taxes but still charge to use bathrooms and drinking water (even tap water). They absolutely hate the thought of air conditioning and serving ice in their drinks. This hotel is absolutely disgustingly hot during the summer. I took a cold shower and started sweating as soon as I got out. The room they gave me looked nothing like the pictures I booked. I thought it was ridiculous how I paid for a 2-person room but went solo with my 3 kg dog who absolutely didn’t make any mess at all, yet they still charged me for bringing her, EVEN THOUGH I paid for 2 people. The bathroom was modern and clean, but the shower was uncomfortably small. You need to go up a bunch of stairs and unlock a lot of doors just to get to the reception area, which is also awkwardly the breakfast area. There is NO elevator. The only reason worth staying at this hotel is the location. Otherwise, it is expensive and subpar.

Very happy of this choice. The hotel is really nice and it is elegant,with beautiful red carpets. The double room was quite big. Even if the furniture are not the most modern, I really appreciated the large and super comfortable bed. Cleaning was ok and there is television and hair drier in the room. Shower also was good. A word for the breakfast, which has a large variety of choices: meat, cheese, salads, cereals, tea, coffee etc. I would suggest to add the possibility to take an espresso, cappuccino or hot chocolate, as we Italians really like to drink those for breakfast,and to add some chocolate or Nutella to fill the croissants. Staff at reception was friendly and helpful. The best thing of this hotel is probably the super central position: it is located 2 mins from the old Town Square, same distance from venceslao Square, and 5 mins from the Charles Bridge. You are basically in the middle of everything, and the price was very convenient. I will definetaly come back in this hotel next time!

Depends on what you want. It's perfect for location and walking distance within everything you'll want to see but don't expect to get a good night's sleep. The staff are brilliant but the place is old and beside a club and a noisy Restaurant that might hinder sleep if you're delicate sleeper. Good breakfast and will help you with anything including taxis, even though I asked to book a taxi to the airport and requested that they take card and was assured they would (good hotel rate by the way), only to find that the taxi guy "decided" that his card machine wasn't working when we got to the airport which left me sprinting around the place looking for an ATM so we wouldn't br late for our flight. Not blaming the hotel for that but doesn't scream three stars.

Very nice hotel in the very heart of Prague: -Nice cozy rooms -really comfortable beds, -excellent location -absolutely great receptionist Jakub -tasty breakfast Some things to improve: -breakfast is tasty, but you literally will have the same food every day. -simple rooms does not have A/C. When we visited Prague it was +35 degrees outside and it was not better inside -we didn't use self check-in option, but saw people struggle with their late check in. Would we recommend to stay in Melantrich? For us it's definitely yes.

Unfortunately, I did not like this hotel, it was VERY old and unkept, there were at least two million steps to get into the room AND one also has to open like four different doors to actually get into the hotel. It is a strange place and they're clearly just milking the tourists as much as possible and have zero interest in putting any $ into the hotel's - very much needed- upgrade. It was also boiling hot and only an inadequate fan was provided. There are better hotels in Prague - for the same price.

Jakub and Martin were very helpful during the booking process and during our stay. The hotel didn't have an elevator but they helped us carry our luggages when we checked in and checked out. The room was a little old but very spacious and clean. The location was very convenient, right in the middle of old town. The breakfast was super delicious!

First I must say staff is awesome. Especial thanks to reception staff Jakob and Martin as they made sure that we are doing very well , super helpful and went above what we could ever expect. Il definitely gonna visit due to the hospitality i received from both of you. Location was perfect. Very convenient. Only few steps away from Astronomical tower. Room is comfortable and large Breakfast was superb.

This is a good hotel. Nothing flashy. The entrance is a bit strange but it makes for a quiet place in the center city. All rooms face inwards. Clean and neat. Comfortable bed was appreciated after the marching around this pretty town. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Tip. If you are in town for a few days you can get a day pass for the tram and subway system for 110Kc. (under 5 Euro) or a 3 day pass. This can extend your range.

Great stay at this hotel. Perfect location, strong water pressure, staff are very helpful. Room a bit old but I didn't spend much time in it. Some noise from close by bars but have a few extra beers and you won't even notice it. I will definitely stay here again.

Location is excellent! Rooms are in a need of an update; old and cheap furniture, no kettle edc. Our beds were 4 meters apart and bolted to the floor. The parfume/room sent was very strong and pretty bad. The worst smell situation is on the hallway to the hotel ; the smell on the stairs reminds of rubbish dump.

I did not actually stay in this hotel, but I went there to ask for help when my credit card was eaten by the atm on the street outside. The receptionists were both super helpful and friendly, and helped me contact the bank, as well as explain to them what had happened in czech for me. So the service deserves five stars, no doubt. Had a very pleasant 2 nights stay here. Staff were all very welcoming, the rooms were great with very nice bathrooms and a nice breakfast each morning. The location is fantastic, you're at old town square after a 2 minute walk and only 5 minutes walk from the nearest metro station. Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for an affordable and pleasant break in Prague.

Clean, friendly staff, surrounded by restaurants interested historical places, I can say that the price is worthy for our stay. My stay was 4 nights by June, No air conditioning rooms, but usually we used to go early in the morning for walking, so at night we let the windows open and it was with fresh temperatures! Hotel entrance looks more an apartment building than a hotel.

Great Central Hotel, excellent staff, very friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast, large spotless rooms. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the old town.

Definitely NOT a wheelchair friendly place. Lobby is in the second floor and there is no elevator. All rooms are one, two or three more floors up. No elevator. Other than that, quaint little place. Great breakfast included, although tiny tables in the hallway are not ideal. Only one electric outlet in the room. Excellent WiFi.

This hotel is small and modest, but it more than makes up for it in excellent service and the PERFECT location. Steps from the train, Old Town Square and countless restaurants. It gets a little loud on weekend nights when drunks are leaving the bars, but I though it added to the charm of being in the heart of Old Town

A lovely, quaint hotel. It is upstairs and then the rooms are another level up. Bit hard with the bags. No lift because the building is 300yrs old. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Right in the heart of Prague so location is fantastic. Rooms aren't big but had everything we needed. Nice and clean.

There is not a 24h reception. The breakfast room is cramped. The room is old. But worse than everything, the hotel is in the same building as a nightclub which closes at 5 AM with loud music going on till then. Avoid!

Overall, the hotel was in a really good location close to the old town. The interior was a little old fashioned but the room was clean. The guy in the reception was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was also decent.

Excellent experience. Great location. Near to both Old Town Square and the Museum. Accessible via Metro as well. Great breakfast. Very polite and friendly staff. Special mention to Martin at the reception, he was considerate enough to meet our adhoc checkin/out requests.

Top location. Rooms are good although in the summer and late spring they can be quite warm and light leaks inside too early in the morning since the drapes are not big enough. Everything else is on par with the price

The Hotel was cheap, very close to metro and the square of old town. Beds were a bit hard and the view was none, but Good friendly service and staff. Nice and ok breakfast.have nothing bad to say. Perhaps the entrance isnt ultimate though.

Do not go there. This hotel scams people. They refused to check in with proper documents that have been accepted in all other hotels in Europe. And then they charged 1 night stay. For the service they refused to provide.
