The establishments at 550 McKinney have been calling the police and mayor on a group for feeding the homeless AFTER the establishments have closed for the day. Food Not Bombs has been feeding there for 15 years and is an incredible organization. For calling the police on them you should be ashamed of yourselves, it’s incredibly disappointing and anyone that works there should be ASHAMED. Disgusting privileged people for this.
I come in here to do some coding on my phone, and the "security guard" keeps harassing me about the way I'm sitting.... He says "I'm going to have to ask you to leave if you keep sitting like that". This is the most awkward encounter I have experienced. I don't recommend going here if you don't have perfect posture.. Or whatever
Great place to find some rare books on design and children’s art; to do some research. The surroundings are quiet and calm. Browsing through the collections of Caldecott Award winning children’s books and illustrations is absolutely amazing. The building’s architecture is in itself an imposing sight. Must visit when in Houston.

They have been issuing citations to a woman and her group trying to feed homeless people. This establishment has no humanity whasoever.
Mornings are very quiet. Great time to study , read and have zoom interviews.
Great place to find books with a great staff as well
