As upset as I am right now I wanted to give 1 star but in all honesty I probably go in this store 2 to 5 times a week and on all those visits they truly deserve 5 stars. Always friendly and helpful and for the most part they were today also. Even writing this review I’m not sure what the right outcome should have been but I definitely do not feel like the outcome today was just. They had the Milwaukee pack outs on sale. The display had the roller and the 3 drawer together with the sales tag that said buy the roller and the 3 drawer 179.00 get the large for free. I have been looking everywhere for this unit, so I knew this was an excellent deal. With Black Friday deals, I thought, wow maybe this is right but I don’t trust myself enough to not have misread something. So I brought over an employee and asked him if I was reading that correctly. He assured me I was and I was definitely sold. So sold in fact, that I canceled a purchase on Marketplace that I was heading to later today to get this unit. ( Didn’t want the man to hold something longer than he had to if I was not going to purchase.) Why buy a used one, for more money and drive 35 miles out of my way when I can get this new, cheaper one that is literally minutes from my house?? No brainer, right? Well, I get to the register and it looked like it had charged me for the large box. I explained that it was charging me for the piece that was supposed to be free. The guy behind the register grabbed a paper and punched everything in again and now it was even more. Come to find out it was to good to be true. The sale was to purchase both roller at 179.00 and the 3 box at 139.00 and then you got the large box for free. Where yes I understand what the sale is NOW, I still feel like this mistake was on Ace. I assume they did to because the gentleman in charge was telling the employees to go change the sales sticker. All this to say, I have always enjoyed the convenience and atmosphere at this Ace in particularly, but this whole situation has definitely left a terrible taste in my mouth. I think I’ll leave the shopping here to my husband, (if he deems necessary, the unit was for him) and head to Home Depot from now on.

I have purchased from this Ace ever since it was built. I usually have ok experiences when I communicate with the staff. But today, unfortunately was horrific. My family arrived at Ace 20 minutes before closing. I was looking for simple items in the gardening section. The man, I'd usually say gentleman but his behavior and attitude was far less than, was very rude. He was standing at the slide door to the gardening section and a lady was walking out. We started to walk in when he started closing the door. I asked was his section already closed, frankly, a simple yes would have sufficed we definitely understand closing procedures. He said "well what cha looking for" in a very rude manner . I replied with planters. He said "hurry up and make it quick". Us, being a very sophisticated family, happily advised him, "no thank you when can purchase elsewhere". You would have had to be there to hear his gross tone. None the less, he was told how rude he'd sounded not just by us, but also by a female bystander. This has unfortunately led me to never want to purchase from this store again. The customer service at this store has diminished in the past few years.

I visited this Ace Hardware yesterday afternoon and was greeted by Joseph. He acknowledged my presence as I approached him and asked if he could help me. I asked him where I could find an item and he told me which isle I would find it in. This may not seem like anything special to anyone reading this so far. Let me say that Joseph is blind. His acknowledgment was so genuine and kind. I have been in many stores and most of the time the salespeople are so preoccupied with other things they don’t give you their undivided attention at all. I had to drive out of my neighborhood that has an Ace Hardware to get this particular item. I was so socked at how high the price of lawn care products were, but Joseph’s greeting made me forget how much I spent. I look forward to visiting that Ace Hardware again. P.S., I will not be shopping at the Ace Hardware near me. Joseph should be given a raise. I truly mean that. Glad to drive out my way, Gina

My partner and I visited today to purchase a riding mower and from the moment we stepped in, it was a pleasure. They helped us figure out whether or not we could order the one we wanted in-store, helped make sure we were able to take advantage of an excellent on-line promotion, and even went so far as to get us the dimensions and weight of the mower so we could make sure we can be properly equipped to pick it up when it arrives. We were at a Lowe's earlier trying to buy the same mower and the experience was worlds apart. I'd never been to an Ace Hardware before and this one is admittedly a bit far from where I live (Godley) but the team there took amazing care of us. There are some other items on our shopping list, like a grill and other big accessories, so I will have to make a point to visit here again. Thank you so much to the team for turning a bad experience at a bigger box store into a wonderful experience at yours.

I like the store even though they're pricey and hardly ever have exactly what I actually need. Last time I went they were rude and snotty, telling me my dog had to be on a leash although we have been going there for several years without any issues. My Chihuahua is very well behaved and never gets farther than a foot away from me. They are the ones that told me she could walk around in the first place. #wishy-washy #sometimey I'll take my dog and my money to Home Depot which is where I should have gone in the 1st place to get what I need instead of trying to work with what y'all carry and paying more for it too. Ace rewards aren't worth the Ace attitude at this location. Pruning shears were broken when I opened the package and the "heavy duty" zip ties were junk.

Great store plenty of people ready to offer assistance. It is not home depot but they have a good selection of products and did I say people ready to help? I also had an issue with some weed and feed, I just brought it in to show them which one I was talking about, they offered a refund on the spot even though I did not ask for one or have the receipt for the weed and feed. I have been there 3 times so far and try my best to shop here instead of Lowes or Home depot whenever I can. Checkouts are fast and there have not been lines at the cash register any time I have been there.

Highly recommend. Always crazy helpful at this ACE location! Joshua helped me put together a crazy concoction of adapters to get my grooming tub at work back up and running when the company sent me a hose that didn't fit our current hardware! I originally went to a Home Depot for the same issue just because I figured they were bigger and would have more selection to what I needed, absolutely wrong. ACE is always my first stop now whenever I need anything at home or work. Super excited to look into the Business to Business program too!

Man I loved coming to this store,shopped here for years since ive moved to the area.. been able to come here a few times and borrow a dolly to get washer/dryer up and down our stairs. (Live across the street) apparently now that's no longer allowed. What a bummer. Everybody at the store keeps talking about not having a rental program, there never was one. Yall copy my id and there were no issues.. I don't even need the thing for 30 minutes. Cmon guys. What happened to being there for the community? Different management?

Was looking for a specific Yeti product. Online it showed this Ace Hardware location had it. Called to verify before driving to the other side of the Metroplex and spoke with David. He was very kind to ensure they did have what I was looking for. Drove over later the same day to make my purchase and David had the item waiting for me at the front of the store. Everyone was friendly, and I was in and out in less than 2 minutes. If I lived anywhere close, this store would definitely be my go-to. Highly recommend!

These people are what makes this the best hardware store around. You will not receive the welcoming at any other store like you do here. The knowledge is exceptional as well,unlike the major competitors these people actually want to help,everyone that passed by asked if they can help. Before my mother passed away 2 years ago everyone there welcomed her and even tried to come help her with home stuff. The elderly are not taken advantage of here like they are at the major chains.

As a woman, coming to a hardware store can be very intimidating. After two failed attempts of getting the wrong nut size. I brought the item with me and had a gentlemen assist me! For 10 mins we went searching for the correct size. Taking the time to make sure I got what I needed is what makes me feel more confident in going into a hardware store! This will be the only store I go too. Home Depot and Lowes are overwhelming and poor customer service compared to this place!

The faucet on my tub was leaking. I took it apart and took the parts to Lowe’s Asked the plumber for help we it’s parts. After assuring me he is giving me the right parts I came home and installed. Well. Surprisingly(sarcasm) they were that he wrong parts. So off to my local Ace Hardware. Show him the same parts. Come home and install what he assured me would work and... my faucets now fixed. Should have gone here first. Super friendly and helpful.

All was good. Yes a smaller store but customer service was awesome from the minute I walked in greeted an asked if help was needed. I was tended too from the time I walk in till I left. Thanks Ace hardware was a pleasant experience. (I was asked to edit an find an issue that could help ) So perhaps pricing was needing to checked on just one or two things needed a price tag. That's all I'll be back an will recommend to everyone.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted asked employee were a certain item was and they directed me right to it. Everything was well organized had a employee help me find what I was looking for, employee was knowledgeable of item, helped me choose what was better for my project. Employee at front counter was cordial. Overall great experience one thing that makes Ace stand out to me is they're customer service and their knowledge.

Just wanted to say that as a single mom I often have to fix things myself and on a tight budget. Today I stopped at the sycamore school rd location and was helped by "Joe". Joe was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I was also helped by April, who happened to be off the clock but still took the time to help me. It is nice to be able to go to a HARDWARE STORE and be treated kindly and be helped. Thank you both!!

So helpful! I had looked for a specific power tool with no luck in the larger stores. So I called 1st and asked if it was in, it was. When I walked in, they were waiting for me! You may pay alittle more on some items.. But its worth the little extra for the friendly, helpful service you receive at Ace. In addition to the great service you receive, I love that Ace is not as big as Home Depot, fast and easy checkout.. I wrote my first review along time ago...and ask me today how I would rate it today. 5 stars even today

It the closest Ace Hardware to us ( about 30 miles away) and we go here to pick up our online orders. It is always clean and well organized with a knowledgeable staff. While prices are competitive, we shop the ads and order online since it is 30 miles away. They have items that our local big box stores have been out of or don't carry.

I want to thank all 20 staff members at Hulen Ace Hardware. They have saved me time, money and provided fast and excellent customer service. They are a valuable team for this community. I want to wish everyone a Happy Holidays. These individuals also provided more suggestions in resolving individual projects and home projects.

Love this place! There's always someone up front who can direct you exactly where you need, and usually someone close in the aisles to answer questions... Unlike the warehouse stores. They also have a great selection of products for the square footage. I also like the yard and garden section, just out the side door!

Better than big box diy blind greeter can tell you where everything in the the store is all the employees are very helpful and give a personalized service and look to help you. Just went to look at garden hoses. Didn't purchase one, but did buy some lawn bags to put leaves and cuttings in. I love their outside show room with water fountains, lots of plants, and wall hangings for outside the home. Still the same on 8/27/22. All of the employees are so nice and helpful.

Love this store. It's a local shop, they know everything you need, and they have 95% of it. First time I went in and asked for a specific washer, the man told me what aisle, side and about knee height. Exactly where he said it was. And they have a good plant selection too.

Always someone available to help from the second you walk in the door. The lady out in garden knows her outdoor stuff so ask her anything related to that. Excellent selection of products ranging from big spray to nails to ladders to power tools to a kids swimming pool!

Love this ACE Hardware location! It's the most well-staffed store I have ever been in, everyone is kind and friendly, and it's clean and organized. It is a little more expensive than Home Depot on some things but I will pick this place anytime I have the chance.
