"Ike’s is one of my favorite sandwich places"
"Had a really great sandwich from here"
"I had the Grant Pinkerton on Dutch bread and it was delicious"
"Excellent customer service, cool vibe, and awesome sandwiches"
"I'm not usually a big fan of sandwiches in general, but I LOVE the Dutch bread and the partnership with Pinkertons BBQ! The lemonade is also delicious, actually tastes like lemons"
Ike’s is one of my favorite sandwich places. Although I was staying down near Hermann Park while on vacation, I knew I had to go out of my way to Ike’s solely for the sandwich. It was so great I actually went twice and the second time got a sandwich for the day I was leaving Houston! What a fun and great sandwich spot! More
Had a really great sandwich from here. The veggie and vegan options really appealed to me, and make for a super inclusive menu (not often seen in chain sandwich stores). The vibe is pretty poor, and could benefit from a paint job and better furniture layout. Other than that it's a solid spot. More
I had the Grant Pinkerton on Dutch bread and it was delicious. Ample brisket, tasty sauce, and the bread brought it all together well. Mozzarella sticks were also very good. Would like to come back and try other sandwiches but might end up getting the same one because it was so good. More
Excellent customer service, cool vibe, and awesome sandwiches. They have a patio where you can eat outside and plenty of seating inside. We also had no problems finding a parking spot. I would definitely visit here again and recommend it to all my friends and family. More
I'm not usually a big fan of sandwiches in general, but I LOVE the Dutch bread and the partnership with Pinkertons BBQ! The lemonade is also delicious, actually tastes like lemons. Finally, I appreciate the caramel apple lollipops with every order. Keep up the great work!
This place is amazing! I got the gluten free bread (Andrew Luck sandwich) and Ike said it didn’t represent the sandwich well, but wow. It was so good! I bet a sandwich on the real bread is even more amazing. It’s late and now I’m craving it and hungry for more, haha.
Best sandwich shop, especially for vegetarians. They have an incredible variety and they’re also delicious. The Robert Woodrow Wilson is a Houston Heights exclusive. It has vegan brisket, bbq glaze and pepper jack. That’s always my go-to and I get it every visit.
First time here the customer service could have been a bit more on the welcoming side when ordering. I ordered the Tony Saprano it was delicious got the cheese sticks they could have been more hotter but the cheese was not even melted at
I tried this place after a coworker had given me a sandwich to try. My experience was very disappointing. The food lacked flavor the bread seemed old. The onion rings were the worst I've ever had. The entire restaurant was dirty, liked they
Ike’s in the Bay Area was so much a big hit that everyone tried to copy them. Here in Houston its employees don’t know the ingredients, long wait to get your sandwich even if you order ahead on the app. And the quality of the soggy, little
I love Ike‘s sandwiches, but my most recent visit was less than spectacular. It was chaotic and an unorganized, with long wait times. The gentleman making the sandwiches (at an exceptionally slow pace) had his pants below his rear end, and
At least it didn't make me vomit! I cannot express how truly horrible the meatball sandwich. It was so dry, I had dig deep to see if there was any marinara sauce at all. And who in their right mind doesn't have Italian bread for a meatball
I like to let the food do the talking but reader be warned, parking is non existent and the subs aren't cheap, close to $13 before any combo option. The menu is extensive, with plenty of cleverly named combinations to enjoy. They also have
They were busy (lunch hour) and the food came out fast. What I really enjoyed was that I saw the team really helping to teach the new guy! As a teacher by trade it makes my heart happy to see a team functioning well and working to get food
Honest review. I stopped by to have lunch with my daughter (5yo) and we had the chicken tenders for her (she loved them) and I had the eggplant sandwich- so good! The place was nice and clean, the staff was KIND and GREAT. This is the part
First time going to Ike's I had the Grant Pinkerton (Heights Exclusive sandwich) and it was amazing. Fresh ingredients including the french bread, and the brisket did not disappoint. Nice bright atmosphere and good service. I would highly
First time trying this place. You are better off picking up - parking is a nightmare. You can probably find parking on the street and you'll have to walk. Get those steps in! Now, on to the food. There's about 1 million options here, so I
Extremely overpriced. Not great service. Takes a long time. Not sure how anyone can argue $16-$17 for a sandwich (especially this sandwich) makes sense. The bread is the best part of the whole experience which is tasty. I understand their
I have to share for anyone who has a Gluten Allergy/Celiac. While the service was great and staff was friendly. The Gluten-free bread is super dry, and it's like the sandwich was all bread and not alot of "fillings". Taste was there but I
The stars are only because they have Zapps chips. The food is acceptable but 100% not worth the filthy dining area and service that isn’t exactly customer focused. I visited with my husband and two children. I was first told there was no
Stay far away. Used to be a great go-to sandwich shop but it’s rapidly degraded over the past year to the point of embarrassment. It’s dirty and tired, employees are disheveled in whatever clothes they threw on, and they can’t even focus
This is the 2nf time I have been to this sandwich shop. Food is pretty tasty, however this time the portion in the steak sandwich I got that had onion rings in it was small. Should of had at least 4 oring it had 2 small ones. The portion
Surprisingly tasty sandwiches. A friend of mine showed up with some leftovers from a party. We pop them in the oven for a few minutes, they came out tasting pretty fresh! The turkey and cheese which was simply meat cheese and bread (and
Sandwich was good. Onion rings were soggy. Staff made no effort to wipe down the dining room tables even for busy lunch in a world obsessed with importance of cleanliness it reflects on what is happening behind the counter as well. Kind
The staff is friendly and helpful with dietary restrictions and almost everything is clean (there were several boxed strewn about the drinks area). The food isn't particularly exceptional, and they weren't playing any music to help the
I would say this place doesn’t belong in the heights. The place is Far below even a Jimmy John’s at best. The establishment in general is a hot mess of tacky colors, from top to bottom dirt and dust. The workers are too busy playing on
I have been there multiple times now. They have a great variety of sandwich options. Big plus is that they serve halal chicken. Their Dutch bread and wheat bread is really good. I do wish they had halal beef options. I'd recommend. More
Now this is a pretty neat sandwich place. I love the taste of these delicious sandwiches. Only down side is that I ordered 25 minutes ahead and when I showed up, it took another 10 minutes to get the sandwich made. Well worth the wait
Vibe-This is a cool sandwich shop in the heights. There are so many different sandwiches to choose from. My favorite part about this shop is that there’s so many meat free options! There’s a seating area outside and plenty of seating
I believe this is my first negative review of any establishment based on food only, not service. I have wanted to try Ike's for awhile and finally did. The marketing, sign, and shop looked cool from the street. I had the Mark Appel
Sandwiches are great but y’alls inability to work a phone has costed tons of my business. At one point I was a regular customer visiting multiple times a week. Your online app does not allow for customization the way I like it. More
Good food but over prices and they dint have black olives Subway is still the best they come close but their prices are too high $15 for a sandwhich this is not a family place and its always empty you know what that means More
Lots of vegan choices and meat for non vegans. The service is friendly and fast. The location at 11th and Heights BLVD is ideal with ample parking, The sandwiches are very good they average about 10$ . They are made fresh
Love this place! My friend showed me this spot and I’ve been obsessed since then. Their vegan sandwiches are so delicious. And my brother gave the thumbs up on their meat sandwiches.
Service at Ikes is always questionable. Sometimes you get great service sometimes you don't. Sandwiches are really good, great bread, I just wish they were a little more filled. More
Not the friendliest staff. Cashier seemed not happy to be working. Sandwich was good but waay over priced for what it was. Should be more meat for the price. More
Sandwiches delicious. The place itself is OK. The staff was friendly. However it's over priced. We ordered (2) sandwiches and 2 mineral waters and we paid $33...
The only thing I like about Ike’s are the sandwiches but not for $15! $20 plus if you add chips and drink. Nope.
Nice people awesome sammiches. Vegan stuff. Looks black owned if you care about that.
