I rate this a 3 as I love the store and the company , unfortunately recently I had an issue my partner and I had stopped in after work he was in his old clothes as he works in the trades , myself in work attire (everyday nice dress clothes plus some crocs lol) I noticed we were getting followed as I had no makeup on with hair in a bun looking very tired after a long shift I assumed it was because they over heard me ask my husband about a section of the store and they were trying to approach me . Nope definitely followed , my husband is oblivious in general about such as he wanted to find books . Fast forward a week later we go in on a Saturday in golf attire dressed up in what some would say brand name sports wear , myself with hair and light makeup on . Didn’t get looked at twice and actually got asked if we needed help etc , ended up getting treated like humans . We are both Caucasian (as I’ve seen some awful comments on here stating people think it’s due to race which I’m so sorry they’ve had to endure that) definitely disappointed as it seems like you need to dress / look a certain way now a days other wise you’re deemed a threat to the store . Never have I ever endured such pathetic behaviour from staff as I was browsing and buying books . Do better , we all can’t look our best every day , we all cannot afford what the majority of the population deems “stylish” clothes . We get tired and look strung out as we work 8-10 hour shifts . By we I am not speaking on only my behalf nor my husbands but customers in general who have felt said way .

I had a terrible experience here. I placed an online order for pickup, and simply went to the front desk to inquire if it was ready or not, and there was a gentleman named Harrison working, and he gave us a very vague and unhelpful response of “yeah they are having trouble shipping it”, but it was for in store pick up, and I brought the items to the front desk to make it easier for them to find. Finally some nice lady came up and fulfilled the order for us, after he didn’t spend any time helping us, or even acknowledging our presence. On top of this, I spent 10 minutes in front of him at the checkout waiting for him to acknowledge me and ask me what I needed help with, I put the other items I was buying on the counter and waited there for him to look up from his phone he was texting on, for 10 minutes. He only then looked up when he saw another person behind me. Terrible customer service and I will never be going to the location again because of him doing a terrible job, not saying a word to customers and instead being on his phone, and looking everywhere else but the line (he was the only one at the front , so you think he would pay attention to the line). It was just a very bad experience because of harrison, everything else was good there , and always has been until today when he ruined my day.

Ordered Klutz Smash Bot Battle kit online for pickup at store. Took a week to ship, and just picked it up yesterday. My kid opened the kit today to assemble the bots, and the included tube of glue is rock hard and unusable. Waited on hold for customer service rep for 15 minutes, and was offered a replacement/return (which I declined because I didn't want another tube of old glue!) or a $7 credit to my indigo account, which I accepted. So that was a nice gesture, and I hung up the phone feeling satisfied, as we have other glue at home to use. However, I am online now perusing other Klutz kits to purchase and use my $7 credit, only to see that our kit is now on sale for $17.49, which means that there is a difference of $7.88 between what I paid and what the item costs now. Am patiently (grr!) waiting in the online chat now to see if I can receive the price difference back as a refund or a credit. Will update accordingly once I receive an answer. By the way, the store clerk who brought our item out to the car was Lucy, and she was very nice, attentive, and friendly. Definitely deserves a pat on the back!

This is my favourite Indigo to go to! This location is huge, clean and full of sweet deals. There is always something that will catch your eye or capture your curiosity to continue interest. You will be heading to the checkout before you know it. At least for me that seems to be 90% of the time wherever I’m shopping or browsing here. Not only that but the customer service is memorable. I had a great experience with store associate Renee. She was very friendly at checkout and made me feel valued as a customer. She also had be sold on upgrading my Plum membership to the Plum Plus without pushing me. Instead she sold me with the promotion, how it would benefit me and her knowledge. I was impressed and appreciated her ability to approach without forcing or pushing. She is passionate at what she does and it shows. She is a gift to Indigo and the retail industry. I cannot give an objective review. The minute I walk in the smell of new books, the sound of crisp brand new pages being flipped, the aisles upon aisles of all categories..it all hits my senses so intensely it's almost obscene. I feel like having my family tie me to a mast like Odysseus on his ship, to resist the siren songs of all the books screaming "Buy meeeee!!" or I'll succumb to temptation and end up absolutely broke and penniless. The friendliness of the employees there doesn't help; they can find you any book you want or tell you where to find them. I am and have always been obsessed with it all. I have done well resisting the urge to constantly be there but my kids are avid readers...

Terrible store with unhelpful employees, online says they have stock, they don’t come back out and tell me if they have it or not. Then blame me for not calling ahead of time. Why would I call when it says you have it online! I was told by an employee it was on hold, well if you can’t find it, how do you know? Sounds like the employees here are going against company policy about products being on the floor first. I will not be returning. The customer service here is horrible. Stick to Amazon, at least they’re cheaper, know what they have, and don’t have lying employees.

Disappointed with indigo. They put an item on sale, with big signs, and I picked up a couple wallets for my sisters and I, all on the same table- only to find out that only certain coloured ones were on sale. Exactly the same product, but only one colour was not on sale. I feel like this was a mean trick to play on consumers …

I love this store. It is always neat and has a lot of stock. They carry quite a few magazines (though there has been less, not sure if that is covid related) and I always go here to check for crochet magazines. They usually have a few shelves full of clearance stuff at the back too. Staff is always helpful and friendly.

Don't really come here often. Everytime I needed some assistance. The staffs are all friendly and willing to try their best to help with what you need. They have a huge selection for all ages from kids to adults. Some of their items are over priced but when it's on sale it's a good deal! They have free WiFi.

Staff was helpful, I just wish that the kiosks or something equivalent was operational so that we didn't have to bother them at the till to help us find the book we were looking for. They were able to locate it fairly quickly & there seemed to be a lot of good sales on, I would definitely come back to shop.

I have been frequenting this Indigo for well over 10 years. While book selection has slowly decreased over the years with the ubiquity of digital media, I've always found the staff to be kind and helpful. I can almost always find what I am looking for, and for niche titles I can just order online with them.

George is the best! I had to return a book and buy another, and he was so quick and accommodating to my mom and i! this location is the best i’ve ever been to :) will be coming back soon! there was a very helpful lady who guided my mom and i to the history section as well, i wish i got her name.

Extremely unhelpful staff, I went to exchange piece of clothing I recieved yesterday as a gift with the tag still attached for a different size, would not help me exchange without reciept or proof of purchase. I was told to “re-gift the item if it doesn’t fit” and dismissed.

I love this store, lots of variety of things. Although I love to come for the books. My grandchildren come for the toys. My 6 year old grandson spent 40 minutes picking out his bday presents here. He said grandma I wish I could have it all! Thanks for such a versatile store.

Love coming here, omg the staff is so nice and friendly. The selection is huge and always getting new stock in! I just wish they sold some neat cell phone cases at all locations. Very cool though how much fun things they got from boba bandaids to books to Lego and more!!

Harrison was very polite and helpful. He held the door for me and my three kids, and he had not started his shift yet. Later I ran into him to find a book, he went online and found out the book wasn't released yet. Always our favorite place to spend time there.

Pitiful service. Wouldn't do a replacement on a book that was damaged from the store because I didn't take a receipt. Shame on me for assuming the membership that I paid for would track my purchases. Go to a bookstore that cares and not some horrific megacorp.

This store likes to put the sticker "Heather's pick" on all the books I seem to want. I don't care who Heather is or what books she picks. So Indigo should stop doing that. Or at least use stickers you can remove. Other than that the store is ok. Recommend.

I really enjoy this place. Not just for the nature and smell of fresh books but the atmosphere is very calming and pleasant... at least in my opinion. Whenever I want to find a gift I always come here as I always find something special to give away

This is a bookstore. If you're looking for a place to hang out because you have no life, I recommend it. As for selection or knowledgeable staff... They have playing cards! And calendars! Get real! It's 2022! Nearly 2023. This place is obsolete

I like to browse in this store. It's a larger outlet than say, Southgate so lots of books to choose from. They also have a clearance section of $10 and under which I like since the selection changes quite often. Also much more than just books!

Always a great place to shop, kind and helpful staff. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The only downside is I hate the computers don't work for searching anymore. However, the staff does make up the difference and saved this review.

The fact this location had not one, but TWO of the Smithsonian series dino literature I've been searching for makes this bookstore a true winner, in my opinion. Very nice selection of volumes, well laid out and organized.

Beautiful store, well lit, well organized, with a nice section of discount books near the front left corner - a good place to find resources for history and herbalism. The squishmallows wall was also quite fun to browse!

Wonderful helpful service. I received assistance without any problems. Sorry that I didn't get the name of the gentleman that helped me. Store was very clean and easy to shop. I miss Starbucks at this location.

Large store with a ton of selection. Can usually find a book or six I need. They have something for every age and genre imaginable. Lots of cute and interesting gift ware as well. Always clean and organized.

Thank you to the amazing and patient employee who let my 6 year old pay for his little novelty toy with coins! It made his day to be able to buy something for himself with what he brought with him!

Public washrooms are consistently closed. Starbucks is closed. This is a dying store. Don't go here. Be smart with your money and find better deals at Walmart across the street.

Went here for Calendars before Christmas and found what I needed plus got them on sale and had a very pleasant and helpful associate to show me where they were located.
