I bought a living room set at the beginning of May and still have no idea when it will arrive. This company is having major logistics issues. The CEO just sent out a mass apology email to all customers yesterday acknowledging their delays and “lack of visibility in order status.” I have requested updates- as I was told my order would be delivered at the end of August- and have not received a reply to my emails that were sent over a month ago. I would not recommend purchasing from this company. They are experiencing huge issues and who knows when or if I will ever get my order. The people in the sales room will say whatever necessary to make the sale but- coming from an existing customer with thousands of dollars in merchandise just up MIA right now- there is a huge lack of transparency and honesty and I wouldn’t do business with Interior Define ever again. Edit: Please look at this company’s Instagram comments. Hundreds of customers are having these same issues. Do not give your money to this company. They are also offering to cancel customer orders if requested but beware- they will only refund you 50% of your money. Response: I reached out to your Customer Care Corporate team via email on 10/27/2022 and never received a response as of 12/3/2022. It should not be the customer’s responsibility to do this much leg work to find out the details about their order. Also, it does seem like these delays are normal for Interior Define, considering the majority of your Google reviews and Instagram comments are extremely negative.

At this point I am convinced this business is a scam. My husband and I ordered a couch in June with an anticipated delivery date of October. We were getting regular updates until August when everything stopped. The last e-mail we got said to expect an update in September so once we hit October I tried reaching out to get an update. Nothing. I tried emailing our original contact, chatting online, filling out customer inquiry forms and could not get in touch with anyone. It took over 6 weeks before I was finally able to get an update stating our new anticipated delivery date would be April 2023. I requested a refund nearly a month ago and still have not gotten any money back. I was able to get in touch with someone via chat (after trying multiple times daily for almost two weeks) and was told it was taking up to 30 days for refunds. That doesn't make any sense. It does not take that long to return money. Our original salesperson was great and the store was nice but it is totally irrelevant since I don't have a couch and the company has several thousands of dollars of my money that I am concerned I won't get back without legal action. If the team is so overwhelmed that they truly cannot issue refunds nearly immediately then they need to cease operations until this can be rectified. There were so many chances in this nightmare process to have good customer service recovery and they have failed at every juncture. DO NOT ORDER from this company unless you just like giving your money away.

Ordered in May, stopped receiving updates in August, and the company will not respond to me. It seems hundreds are having the same issues. We will be contacting a lawyer to assist us in getting all of our money back. And they've been reported to the BBB and FTC. Update as of mid November - the company and CEO have sent out a message saying orders are now expected for April. There was no mention of any compensation/discount for the customers that have waited an additional 20+ weeks for their product. Very poorly handled and an unrecommendable company. Update Sept 2023 - still no refund. Company cancelled our order with no communication to us at all and didn't even inform us of the cancellation nor offer us a refund. They refuse to answer all my emails and I've submitted multiple disputes through my bank and credit card company. Unfortunately they've all been denied so this company managed to take about $4k of our money. Our first time buying a new piece of furniture for our home and they took our money and refuse to give it back. Will absolutely never recommend this company regardless of who owns it as they have not made it right with their previous clients. It's ridiculous to me they continue to sell new furniture while owing hundreds of thousands of orders to customers who placed orders well over a year ago.

Interior Define has stolen millions of dollars from their customers. They took orders all of last year with customers paying in full for furniture that never arrived. We were told that we would be receiving a credit on the unfulfilled order for the last 3-4 months. Now we have been told that we are out of luck and out the money we spent for two sofas and two chairs. This company filed bankruptcy in December 2022 and has been bought out by another company(Havenly). I typically don’t write reviews, but wanted everyone to be aware and avoid this company. And one last thing…These people that have left 5star reviews are obviously BOTS. Anyone who placed an order lost their money with no hopes of getting it back. 8/28/2023 Update based on response from Interior Define… Wow what a great response from Jenny. Anyone who ordered from Interior Define never received their order. The assignment to creditors has zero dollars to give back to the customers affected. Guess who got paid, the lawyers, banks and distributors, not the actual people who spent their money on the promise to receive their orders. The cat is out of the bag. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SHAM COMPANY!!!!

Living in South FL I have many options for furniture stores, although after looking for over 2 years I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. Interior Define showed up on my Instagram one day so I clicked on the link and did some research. The closest location was in Charlotte North Carolina, which is close to my home town. Decided to make a trip and invite my Mom join me for the fun. I walked into the location and was extremely impressed right as I walked through the door. Katie and Vaughan were there to greet me and I immediately felt welcomed into their store. After spending a few hours reviewing fabrics, cushions types, legs and more I was convinced this felt like the right way to go for a made to order couch. Two months and 10 days later I not only received the most amazing couch but the delivery company was exceptional! The communication was even better than in regards to their delivery and it came earlier than planned:). Overall interior define in Charlotte was the best furniture experience I’ve ever had! I would recommend Katie and her team to anyone:)

We had an amazing experience with Katie at the Interior Define Charlotte location choosing all the customizations and ordering a couch that will work really well for our family. Katie allowed us time to try out all the fills, fabrics, and models that we desired. She answered our questions and provided guidance and recommendations without being pushy or overbearing. Katie is very educated about the products ID offers and was so helpful. We’re looking forward to receiving our couch in about 12 weeks! * we did a ton of digging into the recent acquisition of Interior Define, and while there are a lot of unhappy reviews from 2022, we decided to pull the trigger on purchasing an ID couch because the quality and comfort reviews seem to be unmatched and the company has adjusted their business model to ensure customers are receiving the products they order in 12-14 weeks. Katie also brought this up while we were at the store and was open and happy to answer any questions we had concerning the situation. Will update when we receive!

This is the worst business I’ve ever dealt with. We actually are starting to consider that this entire business may be a scam. They told us a couch would take 6 months which as absurd as it is but understandable given what’s going on the world. I am now 10 months with no couch and awful communication. Called them 10 times with no success and half a dozen emails to which they responded one time with no real information or meaningful content. The last communication I received said they can’t give me an estimate of when I would receive this but it wouldn’t be until next year now. We had to pay full price upfront and we will have zero product and little communication coming up on a year. They initially told us this was American made but then told us at one point the couch was stuck on a ship off of California waiting to get to a port and unload (this was months ago so clearly a lie). While they have nice products in the showroom, I would strongly urge anyone to look somewhere else.

If I could give a zero I would!!!! Do not buy anything from this company. They will steal your money and never give you the product you ordered. This is a scam, fraudulent and wrong. I’m out $4500 on a sofa, that I ordered in May, that I will never receive. There is no way to contact customer service. The phone number goes to a voicemail where messages are unreturned. They also do not return emails from the email option on the website. The chat feature on their site does not work. The account operations employee that was in contact with me stopped emailing in July, and now her email address comes back as “address not found”. The only thing I haven’t tried is going into the actual store, but it is 3 hours away and I have no way of knowing if the store is even open anymore because the number goes to voicemail. I have heard the company is going bankrupt. I’m just praying that I can somehow recover my money! PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!

Don’t do it!!!!! I placed an order in May 2022 only to find out in November that the sofa have not even started production and now has an estimated timeframe of March 2023. My ottoman had been “on the water” for months. Here’s my problem, when the initial issue started to be fair to the customer transparency would have been nice. I sat idle for months with no updates. Furthermore, I have never purchased from this vendor and praying the quality is good. Things happens, we understand the pandemic affected virtually everything and supply chain has been an issue but I have placed many custom orders with other vendors since placing this order and I have received the items. One of the issues is that these items are manufactured overseas, gone are the days where our furniture is produced in the US. It’s not what you do, it’s how you it. The breakdown in communication and transparency is the issue and not to mention being nearly $4000 out of pocket.

Despite being under new management, I highly suggest avoiding interior define. The situation has turned into a huge scam. We paid $5000 for a couch in June with an expected Fall delivery- this was the largest cost we’ve ever paid for a piece of furniture and didn’t realize the risk we were taking with this shady company at the time. After our expected delivery date passed, we began emailing wondering when our couch would arrive and received no responses. Eventually emails began bouncing back. In January, the company declared bankruptcy. The new management of the company (Havenly) has currently been unable to obtain our couch. Our couch has been created but it’s sitting overseas and there are no funds to get it to us so our order will not be fulfilled unless a miracle occurs. Avoid this headache at all cost!

We placed an order for a modular couch back in MAY of 2022. It was supposed to be delivered at the end of August. We still have not received our furniture. We spent over $5k on this furniture and have had to reach out over and over again to try to get in touch with someone. They don’t answer emails and their phones are off. They don’t return calls and their live chat is always offline. This is completely insane. I submitted a complaint with the BBB and they responded saying they would reach out to me privately. They did and said the order would arrive in late January. We have not heard anything since. We will be pursuing legal action against interior define if this couch does not arrive as expected in immaculate condition by 2/1/22.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! So many who have ordered from this company (prior to it being under "new management") are without their furniture that they paid for in full. I paid (in full) for a made-to-order couch in October (before all of these negative reviews started to be posted) and have waited for the last several months to find out if I would be able to get my couch, which is all that I wanted. Now I am being told that I won't be getting my couch AND I have to submit a claim in the hopes that I may get some of my money back, which of course, is not guaranteed. So disappointing after spending so much time doing research and finally deciding to pull the trigger on my first new couch and then to have this experience.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I ordered a sofa on May 2022 that was supposed to be delivered by November 2022. ID Kept stringing me along and didn’t disclose that they could not complete my order because they were having financial troubles. They filed for bankruptcy in December and made us file a claim to get our money back. We had to wait 6 months before getting any information. Now the claim company is telling me that interior define didn’t have any money left over to pay their creditors and customers like me!!! By this time, our credit card company is not able to refund me because it’s been more than a year than the order day. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

I can’t recommend Interior Define and the Charlotte Studio enough! I’m grateful to have been part of this wonderful team and work alongside Katie and Alexis! They always put the client first and are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and have a good eye for detail. They make sure the customer experience is exceptional and I definitely recommend going to the Charlotte studio to furnish your space! Interior Define has a wide variety of collections, fabrics, and endless configurations to choose from. The customer service provided throughout the whole process and the focus on customization is worth visiting! I can’t wait to order my first sofa from them!

I worked with Katie based in Charlotte, NC who helped me with fabric samples and filling selections. I expressed my concerns over the negative reviews and she assured me that their process had been improved since changing leadership back in December 2022. I took her word and am so glad I did! After placing my order, I received multiple updates throughout the stages of the building process. Once shipped, it did take about a month to receive, but that was clearly explained in my shipping notification since it's shipped by freight overseas. Delivery was very smooth and I could not be happier with how my sofa turned out! Give Interior Design a chance.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I was really looking forward to providing an amazing review, but I ordered a sofa in April and it is October and it still has not arrived. The shipping and operations contact has not responded to my email in a month. After a look at their social media, nationwide everyone is having the same problem and are not receiving their orders. The worst part is that they don't offer 100% refunds so we are all stuck. I wish this experience could have been better because it's a good product, but I can't recommend it. To ID: Please don't respond to this with a word salad about the economy and shipping times- please just find my couch!

I worked with Katie Parnell in the Charlotte, NC showroom, and she's been so great in helping me get the right pieces for my living room. She was incredibly patient and understanding as I went back and forth on measurements to get the right size sofa and ottoman for my space. She went above and beyond helping me with picking the right fabric. She was great to work with, and you can tell she has a lot of experience with the company, the operations, the manufacturing process and everything else. She made me feel at ease. I ended up buying two ottoman stools in addition to the sofa/ottoman. I would trust Katie for my next order for sure!

Same with other customers, we ordered a couch in May, it's now mid November, we have no idea where our couch is, there is ZERO communication. I was receiving updates for the first couple of months, then all communications stopped. I emailed the person that was providing the updates multiple times, no response. Got a hold of another person via chat and was told she will keep me updated and she will know more by November, but of course, no response again after following up a couple of times. No one ever answers the phone and gets hung up on after waiting for a while. This is pretty unreal. Will pursue for full refund at this point.

We ordered a couch back in May, zero updates or communication around eta from Interior define. At this point I've tried to call, email, and chat online with no response. The calls don't even go through and chat consistently says "agent offline." Today I finally connected with an agent via chat and when I went to write a message, the agent disconnected. I'm incredibly frustrated about the lack of communication and just want to speak to someone about the progress on our order. I don't understand how a business can refuse to communicate with customers who have already paid for their order. Please get back to me asap.

Ordered a couch in June with an expected Delivery Date for November and just found out today that it won't be delivered until Mid April. My wife is due in March and will have literally created a human in less time than it took for them to get us a couch. The delay isn't even the biggest issue, it's mostly that it wasn't even communicated to us that the couch was going to be 5 MONTHS LATE until after it was originally supposed to be delivered. We definitely are not looking for a refund we just wanted a couch and to have our house together before we have a child.

This is not a review of the individuals in this particular store, but of the company as a whole. I still have not received a refund for the $3000+ I spent here in June 2022. I had to cancel my order because of shipping / delivery times being postponed over and over again. But 4 months later, they still have no paid up. If you do decide to buy from Interior Define, ask for a guaranteed delivery date - - in writing - - and ask them how and when you will be refunded if your items do not arrive. Don't just assume that your consumer rights will be honored.

The salesperson I worked with was extremely kind and helpful, but the entire experience has now become a nightmare. I ordered my furniture in June 2022 with an projected delivery date of +/- late Nov. After months of silence, I got a message from the CEO saying the items would be coming in Jan or Feb 2023. Today I got a message saying MAY 2023. Eleven months for a couch and 2 chairs! Who knows if this date will hold. The Charlotte store should CLOSE and they should CEASE taking orders until the company can fulfill obligations to existing customers.

Do not purchase from this company. They are actually stealing from people! I paid almost 3 thousand dollars for a couch that they never built. They promised me a refund over 3 months ago! I still do not have my money back and they refuse to answer. I had to go spend money on another couch because I was waiting for over 6 months for the one they promised to build and deliver and never did. They continue to promise to give me back my money, but they do not. They are stealing from their customers!

We ordered our couch on 6/30 and it arrived 9/8. Communication from the company and delivery drivers was exceptional throughout the process, and the couch is exactly what we expected! We had ordered a couch we loved from them a few years ago before all the bankruptcy stuff but were a bit hesitant this time. We couldn’t find anything else at this price point that we could customize, though, so we took the plunge. Couldn’t be happier!

Update: I just read the bankruptcy notes and guess what...the institutions (secured lenders) that lent money to this fake company will be receiving approximately 70% of their investment back. The folks that used their hard earned money to purchase furniture will get zero. Avoid this company. They took your money at the point of sale then leveraged loose bankruptcy rules to keep it. We are out $4,210 and nearly a year of waiting.

I ordered a sofa in March 2022. By September I was chasing a refund. They stopped answering my emails, calls and letters. In December, after threatening to sue, I was finally told I was in a queue for a refund. It's nearly January and no sofa, no communication. Almost a year has gone by in a long line of dissatisfied customers. It would not surprise me if this business folds and many people lose out on their purchases.

Katie was extremely helpful, attentive and kind as I placed my order. I don’t have a store nearby and I was interested in knowing how a specific chair felt for a petite woman. Katie even sat on the chair and sent me notes. The furniture has a long lead time (16-18 weeks in early 2023), so I can’t yet report on that part of the experience. But my customer service experience with the Charlotte store was top notch.

I purchased an order from Interior Define in 2022 when they were going through a difficult transition. It was a bit of a disaster but the team in place at the Charlotte location did everything and more to make sure I was taken care of. Katie and her team went above and beyond and the new ownership is dedicated to a superb customer experience. Would 100% buy from them again under the new Havenly ownership.

Great experience - both in the Charlotte showroom and with the overall ordering and delivery process. Despite my millions of questions, the staff were patient, kind, and helpful. And when the couch was to be delivered EARLIER than estimated they were incredible at helping me negotiate a drop-off that would work for me. And the couch is gorgeous and everything I hoped for. Highly recommend.

Just don't do it. You won't get your sofa and the excuses will never stop. If you ordered one and you don't get it within 60 days you should probably reverse the charges. Ordered mine on June 20,2022 and there were always reasons for the delay but now, I have given up. I would post a photo but I have nothing to post a photo of! You really should have an option for zero stars

Do not buy anything from them.Bought a rug in July last year. Shipping was 4 weeks, contacted them at least five times after that and heard "supply chain issues". Finally requested them to cancel my order and they emailed they are in the process of refunding. Months pass by and then emailed me they wouldn't be able to refund. They are scam, please do not buy from them.

I never received my over $5000 order ordered in May. No communication from CX or corporate, since July. Some communication from the store after reaching out to them in September. I was told I would receive a refund 14 days ago, still no confirmation of that or transaction refunding the amount. Don’t order from here if you want furniture anytime soon!

Can one leave no stars? I wish I had seen these reviews before my experience with this company. It acts online as it is a real furniture company. Sends you swatches. It is not and a furniture company that does not respond to phone calls is NOT a furniture company. End of story. Thankfully AMEX refunded me my $2600 in full. CAVEAT emptor people.

I purchased two upholstered chairs for over $2000 last August, and after 6 months of waiting this company canceled my order and will not refund me. They are complete crooks. Now I won’t get a refund without a legal battle. Please do not do business with them.

I love Interior Define! We bought a couch when we moved into our house a year and a half ago and the quality is top notch. We recently visited the Charlotte location to look at a chair / fabric combo and were lucky to work with Katie! She was so kind and helpful -- we ended up buying the chair and can't wait to have this new piece soon!

It's a shame to give this place even 1 star. Might as well call this place inferior define. This place ripped us off for almost $4,500 before going bankrupted. Never received the product nor a refund. Filed a claim, but there isn't enough money to pay back the shear number of customers they scammed. Do not buy from this place.

There are issues with Interior Define trying to complete orders placed in 2022. This has been reported by many, many customers and blog articles. However, this “business” is still accepting new orders. Buyer beware. Customer service does not answer the phone directly at this location due to a “high volume” of calls.

Ordered furniture with the previous owner and it was an absolute disaster. Thankfully I recovered my money through my credit card. I loved what I ordered so much that I took a risk with the new owners and our furniture was delivered on time and it's gorgeous. Worth giving them another chance.
