I have been taking my animals here for about 2 years and I love them. My normal Dr. here is Abby, whom I ADORE. I’ve always raved about this place and the team but yesterday, they went above and beyond what any other vet would do. Our puppy had a blockage and with Abby being out of town, my pup was in the hands of Dr. Carlson all day. When we discussed my pups situation, he suggested taking him to the emergency vet after monitoring him all day with no change to the blockage. I was concerned about the cost but ultimately was willing to do whatever needed to be done for my dog. Dr. Carlson and and one of the nurses, Nicole talked about the situation and offered to not only perform the surgery at the end of the day, BUT they also offered to split the time last night staying with our little boy. All night. They normally don’t board dogs like that. Needless to say, I was so moved and so touched I immediately became a weeping mess. If you want people who TRULY care for your animals, this is the place. I wouldn’t take ours anywhere else. Thank you guys so much.

Horrible, completely misdiagnosed one of our family pets and missed an early diagnosis, which could have saved the animal's life if the disease had been diagnosed when we initially brought our pet in to see Dr. Carlson. He withheld additional testing b/c he knew we'd have to do a payment plan to afford it; 2 months later, our pet was diagnosed with a terminal disease. We didn't have the opp to treat the disease b/c it was missed 2 months prior and had progressed to a non-treatable status. Negligent staff; was given improper instructions to clean the wound following a surgical procedure with Hibiclense and found out later from Vet specialists we saw, that it would cause an animal to have seizures and violent vomiting. When I went to pick my pet up after surgical procedures for testing, he was in a crate on the table where they do procedures and the staff was cleaning, vacuuming all around the area; he was terrified. There's a lot more I could post, but those examples give you the gist of the quality of care you will receive at this Vet.

I've been bringing my dog Lucy since 2012 and wouldn't want her to be anyone else's care. The staff at Intown go above and beyond to ensure every single one of my questions are answered, and my dog isn't just another patient they are seeing to check-off their list for that day. Dr. Carlson, Dr. Huggins and Dr. Raskin are all amazing- they have a plethora of knowledge and treat Lucy and myself with the utmost respect. Also, a huge shoutout to the vet techs! The vet techs are also extremely knowledgeable and have a positive attitude every time I visit. There were multiple instances where due to my work schedule or an emergency for Lucy, the team had to be kept way past closing time, but they never rush through and ensure she is well before we leave. If it helps gauge a dog's liking, Lucy enjoys being with the staff and team so much, she'd rather spend the day there than come back home with me :(

Here’s one: This place is so good our cats don’t even mind going to the vet anymore. We only ever take them to the vet so when the cat carrier comes out they know what’s up, and our timid little bush-dweller was absolutely chill this whole last visit. Humans can write on here all day but if my cat approves you know it’s legit. The humans also approve and would recommend Intown Animal Hospital because they’re highly compassionate professionals from top to bottom and it comes at a reasonable price. They’re upfront about what is necessary and what is not and have gone as far as to tell us ways to save money. No complaints. I trust them implicitly with our fur babies. EDIT: We've been back 3-4 times since I wrote this for some routine stuff and some issues. I still feel the same way. Above and beyond... there's just no way a veterinarian could be better. I'm grateful!

I started bringing my puppy here after being dissatisfied with Common Companion at Inman Park. So happy with my decision. My puppy (thankfully) didn't have any major medical issues, just puppy checkups and vaccines. Dr Carlson took his time to go over everything I need to know as a puppy owner, and answered all questions in great detail. The technicians are also very nice and accomodating. I was 15-20mins late to our vaccine appointment today because I hit my car and they didn't make any problem with it. Compared to Common Companion, they also don't force me to do useless fecal tests and whatever else everytime i'm there, like they do over at CC. Plus, the prices are much less than CC and you get more clear communication and professionalism.

They are the best. The best. Dr. Abby Huggins had to diagnose my beloved 6 year-old beagle with a very aggressive cancer, but she literally held my hand (and his) through the entire process of exploring various treatment options. She gave me honest assessments of the extremely low likelihood of success, but supported my decision to try anyway. Blue Pearl treated him for the cancer, but Dr. Huggins was always available, for him and for me. Losing him 3 years ago was devastating, but it would have been unbearable without her support and the amazing, kind-hearted, capable staff at Intown Animal Hospital. I couldn’t have survived it without them. They are not just great veterinarians - they are great humans.

Love this practice!!! We came to this practice after being with another one down the road for more than 20 years. We came in the middle of the pandemic so very difficult on all of us. The staff at the front is so incredible, and I love how they treat us from front of the house to the back. I'm not sure if it is a "pandemic style" that they have adopted , but they have such easy access to answering questions online and via our phone call-ins. Also, for some reason my dogs always seem to develop hives or swallow an entire stuffed chicken breast with toothpicks included 10 minutes before Intown's closing time. They always get me in. This group truly cares about your animals. So happy we are your clients.

I’ve been going to Intown Animal Hopsital for a couple years now with my dog, Obi, and my cat, Morty. They have always been so friendly, patient, and personable. I feel comfortable seeing any of their 3 doctors and knowing that my pets will be taken care of. My last two appointments have been with Dr. Raskin and I couldn’t be more happy. My dog (who is typically weary of men) was kissing him the whole time. All of the doctors, nurses, and front desk staff here continuously make me feel like a good pet owner, and they always show my boys so much affection and attention. If you love your pets and want them to be cared for by people that love them, bring them here! You will not be disappointed.

I highly highly highly recommend Dr. Andrew Raskin and the Intown Animal Hospital for any veterinarian services. My father was a veterinarian (retired) so I understand the expertise and care needed from a vet and Dr. Raskin has exceeded all expectations. Dr. Raskin is extremely professional, experienced and just as importantly caring. Over the past few years I have gone to Dr. Raskin for our veterinarian needs for our dog Joie and I couldn't imagine putting Joie in the care of anyone else. Dr. Raskin was able to diagnose any issues she was having, prescribe the appropriate treatments and was proactive in following up to make sure Joie was getting the care and results she needed.

I’m extreamly impressed with this place! Dr Raskin was so sweet with my little pup. When the vet kisses your dog repeatedly during an examination you know you’re at the right place! My dog has been in specialty care for almost 2 years but needed a routine yearly and teeth cleaning. My specialist recommended me to come here and I couldn’t be more grateful. The doc was prepared and had obviously read all of my dogs medical history prior to the visit. He was aggressive but not too quick to overprescribe meds. Just all around a good experience and I’m so happy to call this place my precious pups new vet.

After getting a puppy as first time pet parents, we were feeling really anxious to find a great vet to take him to so we knew everything would be taken care of. Now I’m so glad we chose Intown! Every single person at the practice that I’ve talked to has been so patient and personable, and they genuinely care about your pet. We saw Dr. Huggins for a puppy cough and she took her time reassuring me, counseling us on the best course of action, and even gave some tips on easing the puppy adjustment period. I’m looking forward to more great years with this team!

I wish that I could rate Intown Animal Hospital higher than just 5 stars. All of the veterinarians there are so terrific and thorough. I have worked with Dr. Huggins, Dr. Carlson, and more recently, Dr. Raskin and all three have been incredibly knowledgable, kind, empathetic, and just overall amazing to my dog. The office staff and techs are all wonderful as well and are very responsive. My dog is not the easiest to handle and the team always makes her feel comfortable and are so patient with her. I highly, highly recommend!

Just love these guys. I was apprehensive at first thinking they would be expensive, but found them to be comparable to a well known charity we had taken our dog to. At this previous place we were advised to do a multitude of tests, but after switching to Intown I found out many were unnecessary. They treated my beloved dog as if they owned him and even walked me through the very difficult season of his final days with grace and care. Dr Carlson and his staff are amazing. I couldn't recommend them higher!

This place is amazing! If you are looking for a vet that is practical, intelligent and helpful, this is your place. The attitude is one of common sense, where you won't have a test run that will cost you a fortune if you don't need it. The care and quality is top notch, and prices are much better than vets in the area. All around great place. I work with many rescue animals- they have seen over 50, all with great results. They also truly give back and their love of animals show.

This has been my go-to vet for my two cats for five years now. All three doctors are super nice and thorough—happy to answer any questions at the appointment or over email but never alarmist. Their techs are also kind and super professional. The staff is friendly and happy to resolve issues over the phone if possible. I really appreciate how affordable their appointments are—and how they offer free exams for newly adopted pets. I’ve definitely recommended this vet to friends.

This office is outstanding! They keep in touch, and promptly provide updates after procedures. They are respectful of customers and their time, and very conscientious toward their furry patients. I can't be more pleased with the vet techs, assistants, and the vet. We had some tough questions that were met with understanding, expertise, and compassion, which is everything you want in a vet. The costs were also very reasonable. This is a great office.

Intown Animal Hospital saw my pup through the later months of her life, and though we only visited the hospital twice, Dr. Carlston remembered us every time. He was always willing to take the time to answer my questions when I called, and that means so much when your pet is at that stage in their life. I brought two rescue kittens here last week. The front office staff to the techs to the vet - all were very friendly and knowledgeable. The place is small but we were seen quickly. I was shopping for a place closer to home than my previous vet out past Decatur (love that vet too but just too far with increasing in town traffic). I was recommended here by one of the cat rescuers. Glad I came. Dr. Raskin is my new vet!

We had our first vet appointment at Intown Animal Hospital with our new puppy Scout. The vet tech Nicole and Dr. Raskin were so wonderful and made us feel welcome and comfortable. They answered all of our questions and offered some great suggestions for first time dog parents. And most importantly they took great care of our girl! We are excited to have a wonderful vet in the neighborhood!

Intown is the best vet I have had the pleasure of using so far! Staff was always in a good mood and enthusiastic about my dogs health. They kept me up to date on her vaccines and appointments and we're very consistent with communication. They have set the standard for what I expect my future veterinary experiences to be like! Literally the only thing I will miss about living in the area.

my dog was having a severe allergic reaction and i was in pure panic mode and called them even though it was nearing the end of their hours for the day and they were accommodating, calm, patient, and helpful. i got there absolutely freaking out and they were so nice and helped me and my baby quick and painlessly. i walked out feeling okay. i would definitely recommend them. :-)

Dr. Huggins and the entire staff at Intown took amazing care of my senior cat while he under went a much needed tooth extraction. I was beyond nervous because of his age about him going under, but they took great care and attention to my 16 year old cat. This is one of the most reliable Animal Hospitals in Atlanta. They always manage to book me without a problem. I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience here! I brought in my 5 pound Maltipoo for his annual check-up and having had a terrible experience at another Atlanta vet, I was nervous! They made us feel right at home and talked me through everything they were doing. Wonderful staff and care.

Waste of our time. Our pup had a yeast infection in his ear which has now gotten a lot worse due to Dr. Carlson saying it will “go away on its own”. Reading online, it looks like this is very treatable and could lead to an inner ear infection (and possible need for surgery!) if not treated.

When I first moved to Midtown, I was unsure of where to take my cat. I chose Intown Animal Hospital based on the reviews and how close it was to my place. I've been extremely happy with them. The vets and techs are always incredible nice and have always treated my cats with care.

Switched from VCA a couple months ago and I’m glad I did. They’ve been great with my animals and I don’t feel like they’re trying sell me on ten extra services every time I come in. Their prices are reasonable and they treat what’s necessary. Vets take their time with you.

Dr Raskin is wonderful with our 14 year old Shih Tzu who has kidney and heart problems. He always goes through our treatment plan in detail and does his best to let us know what all our options are. I also bring in our cat and he is wonderful with her as well.
