After trying for weeks to schedule an online appointment with the LA Italian Consulate, a consulate member told me that as of July 2019 the Phoenix Honorary Consulate can do digital fingerprints. What great news! I called and got an appointment for the following Thursday. No flight to LA, no hotel expense or cab fees. AND no waiting until January 2020 for the first available LA Consulate time. Roberta was exceptional and very pleasant. It took less than 20 minutes for her to review my application and take fingerprints. I mailed the USPS Priority Mail Express envelope with my application on a Saturday, it arrived in LA the following Monday and was back in the mail to me with my new passport that Thursday arriving here in Phoenix the following day. Wow! Great job, Roberta! Molte grazie!

I just finished talking to a representative in this office and she was surprisingly rude. She was very helpful at the beginning but as soon as I asked if I could request an appointment for a Schengen Visa at this consulate she responded "If you would've bothered to read the information on the website, you would know ...etc." What a condescending way of responding. I called because the Spanish consulate in LA states that we need to request a visa at the consulate from the first destination you plan to visit. Ultimately, she answered my question and addressed my inquiry but I was shocked to hear her response.

After 6 month, half a year pretty much, waiting appoitment for simply renew Passport, I asked help for paperworks they require in order to renew it, but nobody care in Phx, not answer o call back phone. Worse experience in LA there was a guy doing nothing with rude manners when I traveled there Asking for orientation years ago. Sound they are so busy with to many Italian citizen to attend. Very disappointment.

Getting an appointment was quick and easy for me. If you refresh often the website, new slots became available regularly, and I was able to secure a time that was convenient for me. I arrived for my appointment with all the necessary documents, and everything went smoothly. My passport will be ready much faster than expected.

Very fast, efficient and professional service. The people that run it are volunteers, they are not paid for what they do. I would have never been able to renew my mother's passport without their help. All my respect to them. The Italian Consulate in Los Angeles is a nightmare and just a big joke.

It's so great to have a functional Italian Consulate reopen as of July 2019 in the Phoenix area. Appointments are easy to schedule online and Honorary Consul Roberta Gentili-Purcell is a wonderful person, friendly, likable, and efficient in her duty and in keeping to the appointment schedule.

These people were disrespectful and rude. Lecturing and they’re not a real consulate . In fact they’re lucky to have the opportunity to serve anyone in the United States .

Although staffed with all volunteers, I found the Consulate very well run and efficient. Mrs. Gentilli-Purcell was not only helpful but very personable.
