Do yourself a favour, just go to the Apple store downstairs, do not order here. You will regret it.... This is my experience at JB Chermside : Ordered an Apple computer here, was told by the staff member that it would arrive in 2 weeks. I was expecting 4-6 weeks, so I questioned him. He said 'They were already on order so would most likely only take a week or two.' I waited 6 weeks before dropping in and asking when I can expect the order to arrive. The staff were friendly but could not tell me an expected arrival date from their supplier (they don't get one?). They assured me it would probably be here soon. I waited another 2 weeks before popping back in to check on it. Met with the same response from a different staff member as last time... but I was confused, it had been 2 months. So I went downstairs to Apple to see if they could help and they explained about shipping delays etc and to check in with JB after Christmas. Please note the Apple staff were far more helpful than anyone I spoke to in JB, and the Apple staff were also confused as to why JB could not give me an expected arrival date, as Apple do for all their orders. I went home, kicking myself for not ordering through Apple, and then waited an additional week regardless. When I dropped in a third time there was still no sign of it. Frustrated I went down to Apple to check their stock levels for the item. They had received theirs 2 days prior. I reserved one at Apple in 5 minutee and went back to JB hifi for a refund. I bought the computer in Apple that day and left without hassles. What annoyed me the most from my experience was the initial staff member who told me, so confidently, the unrealistic 2 weeks wait when I first purchased. Then also when I attempted to explain to the manager on duty what had happened (why I wanted the refund) he brushed me off saying 'sorry but you know, its probably going to be here next week...' before putting the refund through and rushing away to attend to other people. I found this behaviour from a manager regarding my situation to be very poor, hence the low star rating. It was busy, but given what had happened, I expected to at the bare minimum to be taken to the side and listened to. In conclusion: I'm more annoyed at myself for not placing the order through Apple first, Apple will track your order give you an ETA and were far more helpful and easier to speak to in-store. After this experience I will not be purchasing much of anything through JB again. Just not worth the headache.

The First tine i went to JBHIFI Chermside i bought a NAVMAN GPS as we had just moved to Brisbane and needed one as our car didn’t have one. All good untill the Unit didn’t charge. We even tried charging with the USB Cable supplied, in our house. Still no good. Off i went to JB. Told a young chap my problem and he began to berate me for using the USB cable to charge as it was only for Data Transfer. I asked through clenched teeth what were they going to do…? So he went off to ask, taking the Unit with him. Then i see another fellow plugging it into a USB charger to test if the Battery was charging. So i asked if you could do that, isn’t it for Data Transfer only? No, you can use it for charging as well he replies. The other young chap was trying to disappear, but not before i called him out on it and he reluctantly apologised. 2nd experience. Sent my 17yr old daughter to get a WIFI REPEATER. She came back with a wifi 5 plug extension board. She was told it was the same thing. This after showing the person a photo of what she wanted. Not impressed was i. Went to JB to exchange it for the Repeater. Don’t have any. Refund? No probs, that’ll be 3 to 5 business days, thank you. Why? Why should i have to wait that time when another one of their badly trained staff sold us, out of our ignorance, something we didn’t ask for? I’ll have a cash refund then.. Sorry can’t do that, we’re worried about Credit Card Fraud. So. Will i go back to JBHIFI Chermside? No way. Double, Triple check everything before you pay and hope you don’t get someone to serve you who has just had a bad lunch break. They know who i mean.

Great customer service. Annoying as usual while you're trying to look but the person who dealt with me didn't mind being palmed off and then asked for assistance when needed. Which is what you want in a retail store. I took off two stars because the sales rep didn't have enough knowledge of the $200 in-ear wireless Sony headphones I bought. To tell me they are a flop. Its a 3 piece in your ear headphone that always falls a part when you put them in and take them out. Very annoying. Fair enough you can't try them for obvious reasons but the staff should be able to recall the pros and cons of the products they are selling.....isn't that their job??....and I bought myself and my wife a pair‍♂️ Other than that the layout is huge, always seems to be a sale on discontinued items (like ours) and if you've been to a JB Hi-Fi before you'll know what to expect. If you haven't always ask as many questions as you can about the product especially if you can't physically touch it. Enjoy!!

I had the worst customer service experience, the guy i was with asked me to wait for him to go get lunch, he said it wouldn’t take him long and we would pop it out the back and come straight back to me. Because it was so busy i accepted not knowing that i would still be waiting for him 30+ minutes later! However during that time i asked multiple people for assistance as i just wanted to grab a new phone and phone case however they refused to help me as they didn’t want to “steal his sale”. When he finally came back, he kept pushing things onto me which i clearly stated i did not want at all, and then he proceeded to lie and say he could get a discounted price for warranty which i accepted as i was getting uncomfortable with the pushing, however i realised when i payed that the warranty was still the full price and he lied about the discounted price. I’m future i am going to avoid this store as they clearly value sales of customer experience.

I then reached out to a passing retail assistant which told me to hang tight and they will be tight with me. I waited another half an hour, by this point I was beside myself, countless retail assistants walked past me and acted busy but i could see them on the other side of the store just talking to each other and walking around doing laps, im 6”4 and could see alot. Worst customer service iv ever witnessed in a JB STORE. Iv shopped there for years, but now i refuse to have my time wasted. Wouldn’t recommend if your looking for some advise on a product, clearly, they are “to busy”….

Does JB HIFI pay their employees? Cuz looks like they have not been paid to work at all!! Literally had to approach to nearly every single one of them to ask questions, and they all look inpatient and not willing to serve customers. No smiles on the faces that’s fine, but rude attitudes and that’s not okay. I had stated my requests and just wanted to check if they have the items in stock, but they could not seem to remember the requests at all? Kept asking whether this was the one or not, and I had to repeat myself millions of time. Also, when asking about another item, one of the employees stated that he could not tell me more details about stocks in other stores just in case someone could be a scammer WTH. Employees would impatiently direct you to the items, but not willing to stay even for a second not to mention about answering a few questions about the items at all. Rudest customer experience in my whole life!!!!

Having being given the run around by the Tech Support for TCL, I contacted Julian the Store Manager for JB Hi-FI Chermside, and explained exactly what the problems were with one of my two large screen TCL CTV's. Julian was very understanding, and did everything possible to provide me with excellent "after sales customer service". Together with Trent from the CTV department who was also very knowledgeable, my problem was resolved and the set was replaced with a different make & model. It was a Win - Win outcome for all Having been previously a Sales & Customer Service Manger within the same industry for almost 40 years, the "after sales customer service" provided was very professional, hence my entire family continues to shop at Chermside for all their requirements. Even the delivery & installation team were very good. As a result I have no hesitation in recommending the Team at JB Hi-Fi Chermside.

Julian and his team were great! I needed to start a repair service my Garmin watch that I had bought at another JB store less than 2 years ago. My watch had damage not caused by myself and initially I was told the what the process was from Liam, who was very knowledgeable and happy to help. However, I returned the next day to kick off the process, and the manager, Julian, let me know there is an option of getting the watch replaced in store opposed to sending it out for repair. This was due to a JB warranty that exceeded the general consumer warranty. I was more than happy with getting it replaced in store. I opted to upgrade the watch for an additional fee, in turn getting a better result than I could’ve hoped for at the start! Cheers to Julian and Liam, also thanks to the other team member that helped me decide on which watch to get, unfortunately I missed their name! Thanks again team!

I went into the JB HiFi store at Chermside yesterday with my sister to get a Christmas present for our father. We were planning on buying him the same Bose noise cancelling headphones that we have. However, we were served by Daniel who informed us of the better Sony headphones, which were on a great sale. He was so kind, genuine and happy to help. He told us about all the features, and invited us to try them ourselves. In the end, we bought the Sony pair for our father instead of the Bose pair we had in mind. Then we came back in and bought two more pairs for ourselves (+ warranty) while it was on a great sale. We just want to shout out Daniel for his AMAZING service, and for his kindness and knowledge! I also want to shout out Genevieve for her kindness and service at the front counter as well! Thank you guys so much, and have a Merry Christmas! :)

Went in to check out some products and bought a laptop with office package and antivirus. The guy who helped us with the products and it’s features was helpful explaining about the product we bought. However, the lady at the counter has horrible human management skills. Handed over cash as payment and she kept us waiting for change, while she engaged in counting the cash a couple of times and asking her counterpart to do it for her. Gave us our printed office and antivirus receipts sternly saying that she cannot print it again if we misplace it. When asked for a shopping bag to place the items we bought from there, she quirks that the package has a handle for us to carry. Horrible experience! Never going in or advising my colleagues to do the same.

Ordered a product for click and collect as it stated it was Available at the store, so I arrived this morning before work to collect it. The staff were incredibly unprofessional in trying to get my collection after 18 MINUTES I was then told that they don’t have the product they then said I was more then happy to go to the kedron store to pick it up (I’m heading to work in the area don’t forget) or I had to wait a further 3 DAYS for a transfer to happen. The staff were incredibly unprofessional and would acknowledge that they made a mistake and wouldn’t take action to resolve a problem they caused by providing misinformation on their website. If action is not taken I will make sure going to that store is a last resort.

I visited this store for the first time today to pick up a click and collect order. Being unsure of the store layout, I approached the security guard at the entrance and asked where I could pick up my order. His response was, "I don't know, I don't know where you have to go for that." A disappointing response from the person I would assume would be responsible for the safe evacuation of shoppers in the case of an emergency. Mate, if you don't know where the sales counter is, you're only doing half your job. As the person on the door, you're the face of the store, and a brand ambassador. The sales staff were very friendly and efficient and deserve top marks. The store was packed with people to the point of overcrowding.

A big shout out to Brandon who went above and beyond to locate a Samsung TV I had purchased 7 weeks ago and have been waiting for stock to come in. Brandon had not sold me the tv but genuinely cared about my circumstances. He proactively took it upon himself to check the system, made a number of phone calls and eventually located one in another store. He organised the paperwork to get it allocated to their store and organised delivery for this week. This process took an hour. I am so impressed with his level of customer service, and human compassion. Ten out of Ten from me!! I’ll be asking for Brandon on my future purchases and will recommend him to friends and family. Usually a great place to purchase All your digital needs however when ordering via click and collect be careful. Might be just a once off situation however I ordered a console game which should come with a preorder bonuses. The person fulfilling my order, stuffed up leaving me without my bonus goods. They processed my order as completed but ita not. It is a huge inconvenience. Waiting for my prepaid goods to be shipped from another store. Also the staff in the gaming department didn't want to hear any complaints and just left it with the manager, he didn't really care that he made a mistake. Guy needs to be sacked. In all other experiences with this shop, it's pretty good.

The only reason we're not giving it 5 stars is because the gentleman we asked for help in the tv department wasn't overly friendly. Everyone else we asked for help went out of their way. The mobile phone department was very busy and we had quite a wait but the staff were very apologetic and went out of the way to help. When it turned out that they were out of stock of the one I chose, they rang another store for me to find one. When we had finalised all the items we were buying the lady on the counter was amazing helping us with our purchases and warranties. She even called the other store to make sure my phone was there waiting for me to pick up. Very happy!

Just picked up my "brand new" pop! Vinyl, only to have the staff member hand me a damaged box. He didn't even acknowledge it. As I was leaving I asked another staff member if that was normal practice for their store, as I know how much they are devalued by a damaged box, etc. The staff member said that was normal and begrudgingly asked if I wanted him to see if they had another. I was already waiting in the store for ages and had an appointment to get to, plus I had it shipped in. No apology from either team member, just seemed annoyed that I would expect a collector's item in Brand New condition. Not Happy!!!!!

Do not waste your money with the extra care plan. Go into store because an item is completely unusable because of technical issues and they tell you that the extra care warranty that we paid JBHIFI for is handled by external company. Go to the effort of setting up an account with the external company and lodge all the necessary information only for them just to say, sorry you're not covered due to the type of issue. No explenation as to why other than it only covers technical issues which is exactly what i have. Very frustrating. Their extra care plan is managed by an overseas company.

Salesperson tried to continuously speak down to me as if I don't know the difference between a year and a month. After one of their own salespeople sold me a product they had described much differently to me to begin with. $300+ is not a small purchase for a lot of people at the moment and to just be spoken down to again and again was demoralising and hurtful. JB honestly has never done me good on any purchase I've made. You're better off trying literally anywhere else. At least they won't treat you like you don't understand how a calendar works elsewhere.

Absolutely horrendous customer service, avoid at all costs! Went to the Chermside JB Hi-Fi to enquire about a smart watch. The salesperson refused to give us information about the smart watch or even show us the item that we would be buying. Eventually convinced them to show us the box so we could actually see what would potentially be buying. The salesperson would not even let go of the box so we could inspect the product or glean any sort of information about the watch. Their attitude was incredibly rude and borderline aggressive.

It always seems to be a mixed experience with JB. You can rarely find staff to help and there always seems to be an underlying attitude. Today I had to go to 2 stores to get what I wanted because the first couldn't sell the one they had as it was display stock. My purchase was nearly $200 and the sales person then tried to sell me a bag for my smaller items. Surely you can provide a bag for convenience, it makes me want to go elsewhere for the big purchases that I need to make in the future. This place really can do better.

Staff weren't particularly helpful in their sections, they were polite but had very little knowledge of what they/had and questions I asked about specific items in their sections, got a headset that when tested at home had horrible watery noise so I took them back and exchanged, nice and easy but 2nd set wouldn't even connect, went back a third time staff acted as if I trying to make stuff up and made a big procedure of the second return. 2 stars cause although polite didn't hold out over 3 visits in on day.

Products are awesome. I bought 2 smart watches and a computer in Chermside JB hi-fi, but I will not buy anything there anymore because of the rude service. The man at the gate checked our bag as normal. We left, but he asked us to come back when we were already 5 meters away from the store, and asked us to read a paper announcement on the wall, saying something about the bag check policy. It’s so rude to ask your customer to come back to read something we know for years. Time: 4:30~5:00pm 18/02/2023

Thought they were ok until they called security on my son for looking at DVDs No he was not stealing he had just walked over there and security was called. So he stood there for a bit on his phone then said to the guys " why dont you pick my movies for me" and they did We have bought TV's and other products through you guys and I find this behaviour disgusting. I would hate to think it was because of his skin. I am taking this further with everyone and one who will listen. Extremely disappointing

Bit late on the review but I want to thank Jaime for his tremendous and outstanding efforts to make sure I’m fully satisfied, his gone above and beyond to make sure my experience was nothing but pure smiles and easy all round. I had some hiccups as you do buying new products but he’s been absolutely brilliant at rectifying all of them. Couldn’t recommend you enough mate, I highly suggest everybody uses him for phones and all things related, you’re a huge asset to your store. Thanks again.

very bad customer service experience. I was trying to explain to a staff about how i experienced the thumping effect when I put on the in-ear headphones, but she didn't seem to pay attention or even try to understand what I was talking about. Her eyes were just wandering around and simply replied me "i have no idea what you're talking about". I was just asking for any possibility for a refund or exchange and she just made me feel like I was wrong when I have absolutely done nth wrong..

In the current climate customer service is extremely important, I went to purchase a headset and got sent to the gamers sections. After several minutes looking I had to find yet another sales representative to help find the exact model he was amazing and got a another colleague to help him. We were in the wrong section but they found it! They bad part was the check out 2 team members that were obviously untrained and about 20 people behind me. Hello online shopping and AMAZON!

Full recommended retail price for everything yeah you can get a deal, but you have to talk to a salesperson, I really can't be bothered haggling over a $170 toaster when the same item can be bought elsewhere at a competitive price. I guess most people don't care about the value of their money. Whatever they do, they do right, their share market price is high, as are there profits... It's just that I'm not contributing to them. Each to their own.

Was pleasantly surprised with the amount of service I received when collecting my online order. The lady who served me went the whole mile to make sure that she could fix my problem and then I was followed up with a phone call from the manager to say that they had fixed everything. Best experience I have had for a while from fantastic staff. You just can't find staff like this these days. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Terrible Customer Service. Simple questions are met by shrugs and total unhelpfulness. I’ve been to this store a few times and it happens across all the team members I’ve interacted with. It seems problem solving is not encouraged within their culture and neither is customer service excellence. Stocking shelves seems to be the number 1 priority. Go downstairs to the Apple Store and take notes on customer service.

This site has vinyl,. If that's what you're looking for. But not a huge selection. If you order online& do click& collect, you STILL have to queue with everyone else to collect your items. Instead of having a designated line for click n collect during busy times. Which seems a bit daft... As it should be quicker to just shows my order/ID & collect. Will probably order from the specialist vinyl places next time.

Normal everyday jb hifi however maybe have a chat to your security guard about not grabbing peoples prams and treating them like they've stolen something!! Showed the receipt for items thay were in a bag and yet he grabbed our pram halting my husband from leaving the store and then stared us down like we were criminals even after showing him the items in our bag and the corresponding receipt!

I went to buy a camera today. The women in camera department was literally not ready to deal with us. I don’t know if she was angry or what but the way she was replying to us sounded so frustrating. Instead of explaining and being patience, she was like buy online, do click and collect, online is different and in-store is different, online people are not the one providing customer service.

All the Electronics that you would ever need, and then some. ☺ Such a huge selection of different and interesting electronic products from many departments including Audio, Visual, Entertainment, Communication, Information technology, etc. I found the prices very competitive and sometimes way cheaper, and the staff pretty knowledgeable and certainly helpful

Extremely poor customer service, trying to purchase 2 TV wall mounting units. Staff member walked straight past me even after asking staff member for help. Only to turn around and see the said staff member trying to sell TV units to other customer. 15 minutes wait and no help from any staff member even after asking counter for assistance from available staff.

Went there to buy a mouse, which should be an easy task. Found one, but It took almost half an hour to find somebody to ask if it would work with my Samsung tablet. Only two staff members in the entire store and they were both busy. For the prices they charge and the huge profits they boast about, they should have more staff and provide much better service.

Very friendly and professionally staff, bought a Nikon camera there last week. The staff at the camera section knows what she is selling and the Store manager able to match the price I find on the other website. Choose to only buy at Jbhifi because I know I will always get excellent customer services and product services at right price. Highly recommend

Great JB with very informative staff. Even in the busy seasons, when they are under the pump, they are always willing to help and offer advice. I don't feel like I'm being pushed for a sale and the experience is always positive. They do a great job tracking things down, and even have a fast turn around when ordering something from across the country.

I came twice yesterday and the day before for the television I wanted to buy. The first day I came, there was no stock in this store, and promises to get me one from another branch. When I returned the next day, there was still none, and told me to pick it up from another store. That wasn't the original arrangement. They're not very helpful at all.

2 minutes before close, I said to the cashier lady that I want to buy S23+ phone outright which would probably have taken a minute to process as I would pay by card. I was rudely told twice that 'We close in a minute' with the classic stare! No need for such aggression and could have stopped me at the door when I entered. Poor, do better.

Thanks for giving me this amazing zero customers service experience! I had to wait until the staff finish chatting with each other. They are too busy chatting to care about their customers. Plus, he didn’t provide me any bag to carry. I had to ask him to give me a bag to put it in. What a nice experience. I will buy online from now on.

All the staff were busy on the floor on 6th April 6pm, i headed down to service desk for help, a lday with eyeglasses said loudly to me she xant leave here and she will page someone, 10min later and no help! I returned to her , she pointed out to a staff to help me now!!! Infact she lied, she didnt page anyone!! Poor customer service

Then asked another for help and rudely exclaimed that they were “helping” another customer that very clearly didn’t need help and was browsing by them self.

Generally good service and it's typically fairly quick to find what you're after once you're familiar with the layout or if you ask a staff member. It does get a little bit annoying when I repeatedly run into the same people asking if I need help. I feel like at least one would remember me after seeing me show up enough times.

I wish they would use digital copy instead of a physical photo ID. I know it’s because of security reason but I wish it was simpler. I was on my way to work and I thought I would collect it. I don’t have my driver’s license so the only photo ID I have is my passport which is safe at home. I have to come all the way again.

Good selection, friendly staff but they aren't very clear with their return policy. I bought earphones and wanted to return them the same day. That's when they decided to tell me about their return policies on earphones. Luckily I got them changed, it's best to ask them questions on returns before you buy anything

Specifically went in to buy a big button mobile for my aging parent. Found one however not one staff member came to help. I tried to make eye contact with a couple who were busy chatting however no luck. Was it because I wasn't standing beside the expensive smart phones or other pricey devices?! I walked out.

Of course a great place to shop. Had great experience with sales staff. The day I went there we were in and out the store 3 or 4 times. The Security at the door. Was so friendly, which I thought was really nice. I congratulate the store on their staff. The Manager was also very nice and helpful.

JB HiFi is getting too expensive. Why people keep blowing their bank accounts here is beyond me. Also, as I generally buy DVD's it saddens me that their prices go up and their range comes down. Unfortunately Streaming services are getting the blame yet they are changing the playing field.

The worst service. Was there to buy a computer. No staff will look at you when you ask for help you get “ I don’t do service just stand there and someone will get to you” after 30 minutes of every staff member ignoring me I decided to take my money elsewhere

Staff can often be a little stand-offish and short with you even just asking basic questions. The store itself is a little hard to maneuver through but other than that it's a decent place to go for what you need from here.

Literally a waste of time. No one approached me. Waited 10 minutes. Asked for help. Waited another 10 minutes. When they came, not in stock when it says it is in stock online. Staff was not empathetic about the wait.

I ordered an item from click and collect. They didn't have it in stock due to a technical error. So, they gave me a better version of the item for no extra cost. Friendly service and a very merry Christmas to me!

Sort out your click and collect rules. People with disabilities can’t even get another person to pick up their order. That’s an absolute joke and your customer service team is very aggressive when communicating.
