We went here for the first time but I know there will be many more. The food was top notch. Completely delicious. I can't stress that enough. It was completely out of the league of similarly priced chain restaurants. Beautiful presentation and the food tasted even better. We had the Chicken Parmesan and Sirloin steak with truffle ravioli and prawns. Oh my Lanta. We love a good steak. We thought it was better than the Keg. We haven't been to Hy's to compare that. The chicken was so tender the knife cut through like butter. How? My butter knife was satisfactory for the steak, as well. No steak knife necessary! The ravioli was mouthwatering. We don't often go for dessert and were completely satisfied after our meals however the food was so amazing we couldn't resist trying dessert! We got the chocolate lava cake and the apple pie. I wish I was eating it now! Both were divine. If I had to pick one, we both preferred the apple pie. Made fresh there, it almost seemed like they literally assembled and cooked it before they brought it out, it was so fresh! (and perhaps they did)! Our waiter was another thing. Next level. You can tell all their staff goes the extra mile and if someone is hired there, they are extra special. I wish I remembered his name. Looks like Thomas Delauer but black hair. Helpful, polite, funny, and made you feel like the most important people in a very packed restaurant. The only downside to the restaurant is if you go around lunchtime (and I'd imagine dinnertime, as well), it is so busy you'll need to wait and it is also very loud because it was so packed. We were told we'd need to wait 30 minutes though I think it's was only 20. There are plenty of comfy couches to sit on and wait. Worth the wait for sure. That was our first sign this place must be good! Before we left they even gave us a card for a free appy next time we go! Beautiful interior design as well and very comfy seating. Be prepared to tip generously. The service is worth the tip. Limited menu but that's why it is so good. Pricey but as always, you get what you pay for. This is a big step above Moxie's and Applebee's.

These are just my thoughts as a cook... Overall the meal was great... Loved how tender and moist the beef was, I did feel that they forgot to put the crispy onions in my sandwich so that is a ding in my books. I also noticed the sandwich was bland and needed more of some type of garlic spread and cheese for a better flavour. When I left I felt like I could have had two sandwiches... I don't think the meal was worth 25 dollars for the portion size the value I felt was more in the 15-16 dollar range. Even the Boston Pizza sandwich is bigger and has more in it as in ingredients and it was under 20 dollars.plus the amount of fries I felt was a little small. I think a sandwich should have been at least 9 inch long to 10 inch long cut in half. I was happy that you had a choice for medium rare to well done. My friend had hers well done well I had mine medium rare. I also did not like the extra cost for a different side order I would get it if it was an add on but for a different side I should have the option to do that without an extra cost. I get that some side order may cost a little more so add an extra $1-$1.50 to the ones that may cost a little more other than that your portion is small and the cost of the dish does not cost as much as we are paying out. People should not leave feeling hungry still which both myself and my friend felt. Once we left.

We had a reservation at Joey for my best friend's birthday who has been battling cancer for the last few years. As we knew this would probably be her last birthday, I wanted to see if we could do something special for her. I spoke to the lovely Irene at Joey who set up the most wonderful evening for us. We were given two complimentary bottles of champagne and the staff created the most amazing dessert board for her and sang happy birthday. They were so accommodating with her many allergies and the server took the time to ask questions to make sure everything was prepared so she was able to eat it. Most importantly, so many staff members took the time to come over and wish her happy birthday and make her feel special. We had an amazing server who was kind and attentive. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for over 7 years I can honestly say that Irene and everyone at Joey went well above expectations to ensure we had the most amazing evening. We will forever cherish the memories we made tonight and are so thankful we chose to celebrate such an important event here.

I would have given Joeys restaurant staffs a 10 stars review instead of the five that are allotted on google because the service that we got tonight was just amazing! From the time we entered the restaurant, the way the ladies at the door greeted and welcomed us, to all the way our waiter communicated with us, everything was just perfect and on point! My bother and I wanted to get a cake to celebrate his accomplishments after eating our foods but we ended up not getting the food anymore because we were very full after eating the delicious meals that were served to us! Guess what, our waiter surprised us with a nicely decorated and very delicious cake and it was on the house! What a service!!! I’m new to Winnipeg and Joey restaurant gave me and my family one of the best experiences of my entire life. The restaurant is cozy, the food is exceptionally exquisite and the service was outstanding. From the moment we entered and greeted by the receptionist, till we finished, we felt valued and welcomed. We went there to celebrate my son’s 18th birthday. When the supervisor, Jayden, found out that it was our first time to the restaurant and the occasion, she gave my son a card by the team members and a gift card for his next visit. I managed service quality in banks previously and I know that the whole experience was uniquely exceptional. You can’t be in Winnipeg and not try Joey. I personally can’t wait to go back

Went there during happy hour, and the place was decently busy. The decor is nice, staff is friendly and cheerful. Good food, we tried the hand pressed burger and club chicken sandwich, both of which were really juicy and flavourful. Side of fries, and they were great ! Decent beer prices during happy hour as well. We will be back for sure. Update : went for a second time and place was excellent again. Tried a few lettuce wraps this time, they were fantastic, beers have great prices during happy hour and our server Anna as well as other staff were super friendly.

The lettuce wraps we ordered were absolutely amazing, service on the other hand was not. Very snobby waitresses who I noticed spent more time chatting then tending to tables. It was really nice I loved the food, but we had one waitress who was our main waitress that just seemed annoyed we were there. We automatically had to tip her an amount that our group didn’t want to ($5-10 per person). It was added to our check. My meal was only 28 plus tax, after all the things they added it was $37. It was an unexpected cost we went there for an 18th birthday and we heard they give cake on the house but they did not which was fine. Going here was a little bit of a let down

I have been this restaurant for a few times and I liked the food there. Today I tried this “new” dish called Sichuan style lettuce wrap which was just so delicious. The crispy chips for wraps tasted quite authentic. The tuna salad was also very good. I particularly recommend the Sichuan style lettuce wraps. Another good thing was that the restaurant also offers complimentary wine for a taste when I came in. This was a nice sense of hospitality.

Delicious dinner at Joeys Kenaston tonight. Tried their summer menu Ravioli Bianco with steak: sauce was so tasty and the plate was a visual masterpiece! Had my first espresso martini and liked it so much I ordered a second. Paired very well with the rich chocolatey goodness of the molten lava cake. Would definitely recommend everything I had and love the restaurant’s atmosphere & service. Our server Zoe was amazing :)
