I don't even know if my experience today deserves one star. This wasn't my first-time at this location, as I have made numerous purchases since it first opened. Unfortunately, this was my first-time having a less than one-star experience. I would really love to give this place another chance, as some of the products they sell are unique. I don't know if I will though, cause one bad experience was enough to deter me. Here are some of my major issues: 1) The cashier at the front assumed I was stupid and lost patience quickly when I was asking about prices multiple times, despite mislabeled products. I suffer from tinnitus and hearing loss and often do not catch what someone is saying straight away - she clearly would have a rough time working with people who are hard of hearing. Not sure how they hire their summer staff here. She remained rude and indignant throughout our exchange. She also involved another customer in our exchange attempting to prove to me how incorrect I was, which I also felt was unnecessary. 2) When asking about a furniture piece, I was made to feel like a burden although I was the customer. It clearly felt that they did not want to sell their product or I was not good enough to sell to. 3) I was made to wait half-an-hour to talk to a salesperson after a salesperson was called. I could clearly see that there were two individuals loitering around moving bath towels from side to side. I know its summer and I know you don't want to be working, but you could clearly put a bit of effort into your job, and the time may go by faster. 4) In terms of their products, I have had some of their lights break or smaller items in boxes come broken. I would double check with some of the products on sale to make sure nothing is cracked. I honestly hope if you choose to go here, you have a much better experience than I did, cause no one deserves that type of customer service, and JYSK itself is a great store. Perhaps I'll try a different location next time.

So I came in to buy a base for an umbrella and 24 patio chairs and 12 patio tables for my restaurant. First thing, I come in and see an associate and ask her where they are she points at the back and with a not so very friendly tone says that they are all the way back. I don’t pay much attention to the not so greeting person and continue to the back. I found exactly what I was looking for. There it was a stone base for a big umbrella. I look for the box and cant find it. So decided to ask for help. I also see the tables and chairs. On my way to look for help the same associate walks by and I ask her again, do you have this product in stock? (Tables and chairs) She just replies: tons. And keeps walking. I decide I do not want to deal with her POOR customer service so I decide to look for someone else. Find a nice lady on a computer and ask her about the base. She says their out Of stock. I say I only need 1 of those that if I can take the one on the floor. She calls the warehouse manager to ask her if she WANTS to sell that base. Guess who comes out? The same associate that I knew I didnt want to deal with. Her answer: NO I am using it I wont use another one for that! Then the other lady tells me they wont sell it because the truth is the CEO will come to visit them in the next couple of days and that the store cant “look empty” I asked wouldn’t the CEO be happier to know you are SELLING instead of making the store look good with things you are OUT OF STOCK So I left empty handed. Guess what I did? Umbrella base Amazon for 6 more dollars shipped next day to my door step. Chairs: Wayfair.com Tables: Alibaba Then you wonder why brick n mortar are suffering. Side note: I was the ONLY customer in the store and they rather not sell, interesting business practices.

I moved to the area recently and was very pleased to find JYSK. I was unaware of it until now. It has a wide variety of items and isn't so expansive that it is overwhelming. It offers great value and quality for your money. I have purchased two pieces of furniture which were exactly what I was looking for. They were easy to assemble and they look great in my new place. However what will make me keep going back is the service I received from the manager Andrew and team member Greg. They were very friendly, helpful, knowledgable and quick to help me with my requests. Actually they went above and beyond to see how they could have a piece quickly delivered from another store. I didn't expect them to take the additional steps, but they did without hesitation. They took the time to explain the process to assemble it as well just to ensure that I was 'good to go'. They remembered me when I returned at a later date and made it a point to ask if I needed anything else. I really enjoyed meeting them and was extremely impressed that they made me feel comfortable bringing my dog Benny to the store. He loved the attention from them. I deliver customer service training sessions for a living...I will be able to use them as stellar examples in future training sessions of mine. It was a pleasure to experience this level of service. Worst purchasing experience: 1. Waited 40 minutes for a staff to help out with a simple mattress purchase. 2. Waited another 20 minutes to sort out delivery details (which was never confirmed with us and taken down wrong - see point 3) with the promise that item will be delivered in a set time frame. 3. Come delivery day and no one shows up or contact us half way through the day, checks contact info on delivery form and realized the phone number was noted down incorrectly. 4. Phones the store to ask for delivery company's contact info and to correct incorrect phone number. Attempt #1: clerk answers and places me on hold to look for delivery company's contact info. On hold for 10minutes with no answer. Hangs up. Attempt #2: transferred 3 times to 3 different clerks and had to re-explain the situation 3 times. The first answer given: the delivery company has no phone number but here is an email that you can try to reach him at to see if he can deliver to you today. The second answer given (2 mins after the above answer - talking with the same clerk): your delivery cannot be completed today because delivery company did not receive an answer from you when you called. 5. End result was we had to rent a trunk ourselves to pick up the mattress to ensure it will get to our place on time.

I shopped online and chose the "Pickup in Store" option, but the items were not quite what I had in mind when I saw them in person. However, as I discovered, if you want to return for a refund, the store itself doesn't handle the returns. This is odd, seeing that a customer is already IN the store to get it and/or return it. The staff kept my order and said I would need to call the online site, but provided me with no proof or receipt of what had/had not been picked up. They were going to photocopy their own itemized form for me, but the scanner wasn't working. Leaving with no clear steps to follow or documentation of what I have paid for, returned and should be reimbursed for is not a reassuring customer experience. They need to sort out their policies and get on board with standard practices for 2018.

Always bought stuff from JYSk and never had any issues. But today  was not a good experience.  I bought a duvet on clearance. It was mentioned on tag that  2 duvets use together or separately. I even asked one salesperson there and  she said there will be two duvet attached and you can use both or can separate them according to weather. I was happy that got a good deal. After few hrs when I opened the bag . it was only one pcs. I got upset and went back to store. Lady cashier first said it is on sale because it is only one pcs. And it can't be two duvets . We don't sell those or It might be duvet and pillow. Then I showed her tag  mentioned two duvets. I said if you are right then it should be mentioned on tag.  I was very tired already didn't have energy to argue. Just gave up and returned to home.  I regret that I should have ask them to open and show me. To ensure I'm paying for what is written on tag.

Great prices but unfortunately sometimes you do get what you pay for. Purchased 2 identical curtains (according to the packages), one curtain was shorter than the other. Returned to the store, selected another curtain to buy, opened the package to ensure it matched and it didn't! The colour wasn't even the same shade of grey. I then waited ~9 or 10 minutes for assitance (pages were made 3 times by the cashier), to have a sales associate assist in finding a proper curtain. When she was done huffing about it, I finally found one that was adequate. Alice, the cashier, was amazing and extremely apologetic for the experience. Everyone else, supervisor included, could learn a thing or two from her about customer service.

Great place. You can find furniture and home decorations. At this time of the year you can find a lot of Christmas decorations and Christmas trees. Plenty items for home like towels, frames , candles, plastic plants, carpets, pillows, garbage cans, etc. The store is located in a big place with others big stores like pharmacy, supermarket and laundry. The store have public washroom available and big parking lot. Please check online for business hours. The store is follow the COVID 19 protocol. You have to wear mask all the time.

I love jysk but if nothing is done about this, I'll be happy to boycott. I don't understand how experiences at different locations can vary like this but something is VERY wrong and it's causing utter chaos. This location seems to think it can make its own rules and discriminate against people. It puts certain customers above others. Feel free to email me if you want to see the video. To the ignorant, uneducated, heartless, and prejudice manager, Margaret: karma will find you. Never again.

The young man at the check out (Trent) was extraordinary helpful. I came in looking for something specific and I didn't find it at first. When I mentioned what I was looking for he informed me that you did have what I needed in stock. I told him to point me in the right direction, but he insisted on walking me over and went through all the stock with me. I found exactly what I needed and I'm not too shy to say he was easy on the eyes too...

This is like a slightly less upscale version of Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I bought a 100% cotton bathrobe for $29.99 and a duvet cover for $29.99 (144 thread count). I liked that they had samples of the bathrobes for you to try on, but the robe you purchased was packaged and untouched. Service was friendly. The store had few customers and everyone was wearing a mask.

Donna and Trent at this location were the best! They were so so friendly and accommodating, and they helped us with a smile with literally everything we needed: from a tape measure to advice on products to getting down a product from the top shelf in the warehouse. This is the best JYSK location Ive been to so far, and Ill definitely be back again.

Not much selection, kind of a boring store. Prices are decent and the aisles are easy to maneuver through. I don't often see more than one or two people working there at a time. Not bad if you know what you're looking for, or just need some basic household goods like bath mats, shower curtains, etc. Furniture selection isn't great.

We purchased a Gold King size mattress that was out of stock at the Oakville store. Donna took the time to not only explain everything to us, she also took a good 20 minutes to locate this item, and have them hold it so that we could pick it up at the Mississauga location. Very grateful!!

Store is pretty good it's like a low-key IKEA. Old lady at the back couldn't help me get my chair down from the top shelf so I ended up not buying anything. Only two staff working at peak times. Other staff seems to want another job. Would not reccomend,. Not worth the time.

Been to this plaza so many times but never noticed JYSK here. They have good quality furniture and home decor products. Prices may be a bit on higher end (they do have sale often) but their service is great. The store employees and manager are very polite and helpful.

Much like Ikea, mostly all furniture is constructed of particle board while some table tops in be solid wood. Prices are great as a result. Even after several visits the staff are kind and professional.
