They are very happy to adapt any meals to suit dietary restrictions if you know what you need and advise what is in their items, as they make things like their special potato hash browns themselves. Lactose free milk, various plant "milks", and gluten free cakes available. With breakfasts, the fodmap friendly spinach and tomatoes are easy if you avoid onion and mushrooms. etc.

I had lunch at this Cafe for the first time and it did not disappoint. Ordered the Thai beef salad while my partner ordered the calamari salad. Both were delicious and a good portion size. We both ordered juices which were really nice too. Coffee nice and hot and strong. Staff very friendly and service efficient. Nice atmosphere too. Adil, the owner, is very attentive and friendly. Menu is huge with so many dishes to choose from. Since my first review we've been back a few times and really enjoy coming here. Burgers are great. The toasted Foccacias are tasty and the Greek souvlaki are scrumptious too. Will definitely keep returning.

Jacks House Cafe is such a lovely place, with great staff, Ardil and Zara, who make you feel so welcome and at home. I had a Warm Chicken salad, my friends had Bircher muesli topped with apple pieces dipped in lemon juice and Eggs Benedict, plus coffees and a chai latte. We all thoroughly enjoyed our delicious lunches and the warm, friendly atmosphere. I will definitely be back. I'll be trying the lemon tart next time; as we were leaving friendly customers told us it was so good. You might be lucky with 1hr parking in the street, but there's a car park just around the corner in Horace St, with longer parking. This is much better because you won't want to have to rush away. Give Jacks House Cafe a try, you won't be disappointed.

Hi love the restaurant great to get service later in the day but my roasted vegetable quinoa consisted of two small pieces of pumpkin and mushrooms and a couple of olives very disappointing as I don't eat mushrooms on asking the waiter he's reply was to suggest that if I didn't eat something I should of ask not happy with his response at no point did the menu say mushrooms it did say roasted vegetables this would be roasted pumpkin roasted Capsicum and roasted beetroot I think the restaurant ran out of roasted vegetables the response was very poor

Came to just get a coffee for myself and my partner... Instantly we felt welcomed and he offered my daughter a baby chino,l. My daughter being thrilled also suggested she "needed" marshmallows! Smacking the bench he insisted she sit on the counter and watch him make her chino... Handing her the jar of marshmallows and saying "take as many as you like.... As we are sitting enjoying our coffees and baby chino (mellows were already inhaled), he then handed our daughter a plate of hot chips.... He did not charge us a cent for nothing other than coffee which was extremely reasonable at $4 a coffee... We will most definitely come back for lunch at another date! INCREDIBLE SERVICE!

This place is a gem! Affordable prices, taking into account the area. We were impressed by the amazing food we ate here; we are from Cranbourne and we were at the artists’ gallery and so Jack’s cafe was close by for a bite to eat at lunch. The burgers were just amazing, chips delicious and the coffees excellent , too! The food took a while to be served but it was completely worth it! We left our plates completely clean and at the end we thought of going back there! Even if it took 45 minutes to get there!

Great menu and amazing service Had a lunch date with some girlfriends and our prams and Jack was so attentive and made it really easy for us. Relaxed setting and the menu has something for everyone which is a great change since most of the local cafes all offer the same menu (which is pretty much breakfast food). I had Calamari salad which was delicious, my friends had the chicken salad and the BLAT and it all looked good. Lots of space inside and service is unparalleled.

Me an my partner were visiting from the gold coast stopped at this cafe to get a coffee as we saw it near the tram stop. To say the service was outstanding is an understatement had a lovely chat with the chap at the front counter. So lovely and so polite gave us a lot of laughs we will 100 percent be back and recommending it to all our friends. I had a cappuccino and my girlfriend said it was the best soy milk coffee she’d ever had!! :)

Best Brunch place I have been to. Staff are amazing - adapting, thoughtful, hospitable and best of all their food is extraordinary in taste, selection size and plating amount. All in all cannot go wrong, would recommend the Signature Salmon.

Delicious beef burgers (delicious tomato relish), yummy chips cooked to perfection, just perfect when you hungry, meat is juicy and cooked to perfection also the chicken burgers are always tasty, definitely come before lunch as it gets quite busy.

Adil is an excellent Barista serves the best coffee around here. He is a thoroughly nice person takes great care of all his "regulars" and welcoming to all. Food is excellent and you can design your meal to suit. I would recommend with 5 stars.

This is my favourite cafe in the Malvern area. The staff are so so lovely and welcoming, and the food always looks simple but is suprisingly delicious. Plus they definitely make the best coffee in the area. It's also perfectly warmed during winter.

Absolutely amazing service and great food, we aren't from the area but would drive the distance to go back to this Cafe it was that good. Our kids were a noisy bunch but he instantly got their baby chinos to then straight away and boy they were the best I've ever seen. Beyond excellent. Thankyou !!!!!

It’s rare that I’d walk out of a cafe and think ‘I immediately must leave 5-star review’ but that’s exactly how I felt leaving Jack’s House. Fantastic service, great coffee, generous servings and an extensive menu with something sure to please everyone.

Surprisingly pleasing. Place looks a bit shabby and bathroom needs attention but the food is well made, tasty and hearty. And the owner is friendly, funny and offers a good service. I would go back.

On my recent visit here I had beautifully cooked and presented chicken meatballs with tzatziki. Delicious and fresh with bright vegetables dotted through the meatballs. Jack is a great cook whose service is expert and attitude to customers is friendly.

Love it! Great food, I particularly love their grilled calamari salad. Their juices are quite nice and they have a good selection of food types from breakfasts to pastas and burgers. Fantastic staff too!

The best coffee in the area. The service is impeccable, I've only been there a handful of times but when I come in they are already preparing my latte before I reach the counter to order. It doesn't get much better than that!

Came in for a Sunday morning coffee and left with an earful of the baristas political opinions. Not my idea of a welcoming or pleasant experience. I will not be back and I’ll be telling everyone I know to avoid this place.
