This bakery is also a European convenient store with a German bent. Fresh breads, pastries, deserts, numerous sausages and cold cuts, fine cheeses, a d loaded shelves of imported goods not found easily in our valley. Fresh breads go quickly be early or order in advance. Do to covid ware a mask. Entranc2 is in rear exit in front.

Wanted to love this place so badly it hurts to write this. Same with Carolina’s, who are the new owners, apparently. I wouldn’t go here (or Carolina’s, talk about overrated) if they were across the street from me let alone drive there. Nice people work there but i dont want to eat people. I want to eat pastries.

Huge disappointment. I drove all the way from Mesa because of the website. Apparently new owners, absolutely horrible. I was looking forward to purchasing sausages etc, nothing on the shelves nothing in the coolers. I wish them luck but I doubt they'll make it. My Packzi had no filling whatsoever.

My gosh is this place killing it with their online reviews. Congratulations on achieving four point eight stars. These impressive reviews are because this quaint little European bakery is ran by some very nice folks. It is even worth driving way out of your way to drop on in here.

If you like off the wall bakery goods this place is for you spectacular, cakes are out of this world. Also if you like bacon the bacon they have there melt in your mouth it will start your day off great and and help you have a great week and your tummy won't feel so bad either.

Didn't look like it did on the website. Products mentioned on the website were not available. Bought some cookies and they were good. Kolaches reminded me of the ones my mother used to make and were reason to give it another try. Might have been the wrong day to visit.

Recently I stopped in after their store was closed for awhile. I was a loyal customer especially for the rye bread, but in my opinion the rye bread was terrible, did they change the recipe, that I don't know, but something was off. They lost one loyal customer.

If you need any special polish treat, this is the spot!! Ever since I left Detroit, MI in 96 I needed my polish fix from Hamtramck- I would get it right here in Phoenix! Thank you for being here and giving great service and delicious treats!!

The former owners are sorely missed. Not the same quality, recipes, customer service, baked goods or grocery selections that was here for 26 years before being sold to the new buyer, who owns the Carolina’s Mexican Restaurants. Don’t bother

Lovely little Specialty Shop/Bakery. Love their bread with our favorite being their LARGE rye that you need to cut in half to get sliced. We try to get 6 loaves or so because it is This place also carries many items Eastern European items.

Sorry, this place is not what it used to be. I bought rolls which overnight became uneditable. I don't remember what they're called, but I bought those dough twists that are covered with powdered sugar.I bought these several times over the

If you want really good Polish sweets you have to come to Jana's Bakery. Once you start eating their pastries you end up just shoving the whole thing in your face. Those ladies in there make everything from tried & true methods. Every time

Great little bakery/ deli/ specialty Euro shop. They have fresh bread and pastry baked daily, also a variety of sausages and deli meats that are the best in town. There aren't too many shops around that have been in the same spot for over

Being that my husband is from Poland, Jana's is a touch of heaven for him ~ and me!!!! Babcia, who we lost in 2014, always came to visit us in Phoenix over the years and always cooked all the Polish greats!! Our favorite was Bigos and no

The kids working there are very nice, but they are not Polish. They told me that the owners retired, and the new owners are committed to keeping the quality and overall selection the same. Unfortunately, there was no inventory, little in

I've been meaning to stop here for a while now and I'm glad that I finally did. Stopped for dinner rolls to go with a soup and found much much more. The rolls were perfect, nice thin crust, soft and doughy inside. Had a meringue pastry

My wife and I had a extremely bad experience at this bakery. The staff was very rude to both of us. They kept rushing us to buy. It was our first time and we wanted to take the time to see all of the pastries they had to offer. Then we

Unfortunately, it seems to be a shell of its former self. Nothing but five-star ratings from us in the past, but this new ownership seems questionable. On our most recent visit, their selection was far less than its ever been. No meats

I traveled over an hour..checked website to verify hours. Only to get here and have it be closed for the month for vacation. I totally think all should get a break...but please update your website. I don't want to mess up your food

  • Dan McClure

What a great find! While they are not exactly cheap, they are worth it. They know their products and were able to help select the perfect meats, kielbasa, and pastries to produce a European table setting to be proud of. Thank you!

  • Kait Jagiello

Amazing little shop! Everyone is so welcoming here. Not too many traditional polish culture here in Arizona compared to my hometown of Chicago so finding this place was gold to me and my family! Thank you ladies!

  • Diane Curry

Great pastries, frozen perogies straight from Poland, plus many food items from there as well. Signage hard to see from the street. Slow down or you'll pass right by. Closed for a vacation until the end of July.

  • Generation III Dental

Excellent choice of the "old world" European baked goods, always fresh and tasty. Great customer service also, most of the ladies have been working there for a decade or longer. Highly recommend.

  • Arthur Stefanik

Amazing place to buy polish food such as pastries, shelf food and of course, sausages. They also let you ship items to Europe using the "Atlantic Express" service. Overall a great place to shop.

  • May Berry

After being out of state for 15 months, I was very pleased this bakery is still open. Always something different to choose from. Prices are fair. I will continue to give her my business.

  • Jo MacGregor

We love this place! We've been going here since I was pregnant with our youngest. They remember us all the time. It's been 5 yrs and there's no other bakery I'd go to. Thank you Jana's !

  • Richard Kwasneski

Love this place! The bread is amazing! They have a great selection of goods for baking and cooking and a variety of candies and such from Poland. They make amazing pastries as well!!

  • Errol Heimlich

Everything at this place is amazing. The cakes are all homemade and the cold cuts and meats are wonderful. And the lady that owns the place gives my dad a hug every time we come in.

  • Renae Pavilonis

Wonderful fresh bakery and excellent variety of Midwest sourced cheeses and meats. Very efficient, friendly service. Take the time to check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Happy European Polish food! I love all the pastries, bread is amazing, and all the meats and Jar food! Wonderful store that I can’t Believe exists in Arizona of all places!

  • Luke Maldonado

What a wonderful bakery! My mother loves it when I come with their bow ties in hand. The folks here are so nice, the smell hits you in the parking lot.

  • Brittany Kadansky

Great bakery! Hard to find a good place for poppyseed cake and kolache, but Jana's is the go-to! Kolache dough is of the shortbread variety.

  • katherine suszczewicz

If it's Polish, they have it. The bakery is incredible. All the meats and jarred foods are reasonably priced. The counter moves quickly.

  • Bryan Rood

Jana's is open again! Very excited to have my favorite European bakery open again. I had a chocolate eclair and it was amazingly made.
