A birthday in our house just has to have a Jeannies cake. The chocolate on the sides is incredible and the shortbread on the log cake is delicious. . A Jeannies cake just makes a birthday special. My mom started the tradition and we think of her on our special birthdays. It just makes the day feel special. More

Jeanne's cakes have been my all time favorite cake for 67 years. Oh how I missed them when we moved out of province and now we are back and enjoy the famous log cake any time we want too. Not just for Birthdays but when ever we fancy one. Thank you for making these amazing cakes! They are my absolute favorite.

It has less sugar than most cakes and is light, airy and fluffy with the right amount of density. It has all the favourite flavour''s covered and though I've tried other cakes over my many years, I will always order Jeanne's cakes over all the rest every time. Thanks Jeanne's Bakery for always being there.

Delicious just like I remember growing up. Some people say they’ve changed but the cakes still taste the same to me. Had the red velvet a few months back and just picked up a classic white cake. I really love that you can conveniently find them in many grocery stores.

Jeanne’s cakes have been a birthday tradition for a long time in my family! I love all the variations in recent years. Mocha squares are great for any time & we always keep some on hand in the freezer. The only disappointment is when the last piece is gone! …

Amazing cakes!!! My family has always had a Jeanne log cake for every birthday since I can remember! My husband and I then decided to continue the tradition by having them as our wedding cakes this past summer! Best choice we could have made!

Cake is not for me! It seemed like a must try for Winnipeg and I don't really get the appeal. It's a pretty cake but I didn't get any flavor. The texture of the cake was good, the layers were even but the frosting just tasted like plain fat

Family bought two cakes to celebrate a birthday, one marble and one lemon. They look like normal cakes but don’t taste like cake. The icing is just whipped butter and is just absolutely disgusting. Overwhelmed with butter, I mean this isn’t

  • Daniel Peter

We have been going to this place for many years for special occasions, but the quality has decreased over the years to the point that I just bought my last cake. You order the "marble" which is a white cake with very little chocolate thrown

We are retail store customers want deliver to us but they said to us don’t deliver to you guys because you are selling our cake. Even customer want to pick it from here but they don’t listen. They have zero customer service please guy go to

Ok this is definitely a testament to this bakery. 40 plus years ago I ordered a Birthday cake. I cant even remember for who now. Could have been my sister as I do know she recommended it. Truly was amazed at how good it was. I moved shortly

Poor phone manners... Called for information on Mothers day cake special, was treated poorly by gentlemen with no customer service skills. Put a bad taste in my mouth. Wont be going back ever. Went to buy a cake elsewhere at big box store,

From little kid all through my teens and till my mid life now, Jeanne's cakes have always been a major part of birthdays and different celebrations. My whole family, extended and beyond have always loved the delicious flavors and textures

I was really excited to try jeannes cakes because I heard it was a Winnipeg's staple. Firstly, the lady working at the store was so incredibly rude and she could not be bothered to answer our questions or make us feel like customers. Then

Jeannes has been in my family since I was a little girl. I'm now turning 61 May 14 and diabetic but it's a must and a tradition for a Jeannes cake. My whole family love them and it has been past down to my sons and grandchildren. Its just

Huge disappointment. These cakes literally have zero flavour. The icing is smooth but as folks mentioned like sweet grease. The cake itself may have had a drop or two of banana extract, but I certainly wouldn’t label it as such. They are

Bought a marble log for a birthday and decided to buy 3 pieces of single serving chocolate mocha squares. They were horrible, so bland and absolutely no flavour. Not even the icing had any zip. Do not waste your money on purchasing them.

  • Sandra Whitworth

What can I say, Jeannes bakery is staple in Winnipeg. Their signature cakes are like no other, whipped icing, cookie bottom and shaved dark chocolate that balances the sweetness. Nearly all birthdays in my household are celebrated with a

We used to love your cakes. We purchased banana with chocolate and marble with coconut flakes for a birthday this past weekend and they were absolutely terrible. The cake itself was dry. The cookie bottom was thin and not like they used

  • Ayla Art

The cake is terrible I am so disappointed. Taste so disgusting and very greasy and VERY DRY layers are falling apart. I could not finish eating and I will throw it away. Super overpriced what a shame they should learn how to bake a cake.

  • Celeste Lane

Jeanne's is the best place you can get a cake in Winnipeg. I love cakes and pastries and so have tried many other spots. The only other spot that ever gave them any competition has gone out of business a long time ago because the owner

Jeanne's bakery is another Winnipeg Icon for their famous log cakes. These amazing cakes have been in our family for over 50 years. We are now living in Ottawa and we bring back 5 cakes each time we visit Winnipeg. We enjoy the marble,

  • Jaspreet Kaur

Ordered a cake for 15-20 serving. The cake was amazing as usual. Can't go wrong with Jeanne's. It's our family's favorite since 1989. Customer service over the phone could be improved though. I understand it can be very busy working at

My family has been buying cakes from this bakery since before I was born but we officially plan to stop. I’m not sure who he is, but the guy who answers the phone for orders is extremely passive aggressive and sarcastic. I’ve had this

This review is not regarding the taste, texture and quality of cakes (which deserves its own separate review). Rather this is regarding issues around allergies. Current practices employed by Jeanne’s Bakery are misleading and doing a

The cakes taste very good, but it seems the environment is becoming toxic and the writing on the cakes are horrible. we order about 20-25 cakes a year from you...please train the workers better how to write on the cakes nicely More

  • Gerry Proteau

We’ve been eating Jeanne’s cakes for years and enjoyed them, but the last two cakes we ordered were a little light on the icing despite asking for extra icing. When you order extra icing you expect extra icing. Where is it?

  • Maureen Bell

Ever since I came to Canada (Winnipeg) Jeanne's Bakery has been a part of my life. We have enjoyed Jeanne's cakes for almost every special occasion. Wonderful fresh cake and excellent icing & shortbread base.

  • Diane Santesso

What is all the fuss about? I had cake #2 today. My first was vanilla, the second was marble. Completely overpriced. The frosting had no flavor and was like eating Crisco or lard. The

Love this bakery . I seem to be allergic to something in the icing .... maybe raw egg don't know. Parking in front of the store on Noterdame is hit and miss. Otherwise, a 9/10. …

  • Bryan Swaykoski

I haven't had one of their cakes in many years but decided to stop by and pick up a cake. Definitely not as good as it used to be. I find the frosting quite oily. Won't buy again.

  • Mark

A must try when in Winnipeg. Cakes are best with vanilla ice cream. Try the vanilla log cake. Or try a couple mini cakes first (2 bites) to know which flavour you like.

  • Jim&Carol Baxted

We have both LOVED Jeanne's Bakery cakes since we were kids! Can't think of a time when we didn't have them..for ourselves..our kids..our friends..& now our grankids..

  • Bryan Robertson

My favorite cake of all time! If you've never experienced it, you just have to get out there and try. My personal go-to is the chocolate/banana marble.

  • Machete Jake

I never understood why people went so crazy over their cakes back to my childhood 30+ yrs ago. I never liked the cakes nor did anyone I knew.

  • Carlina Balan

I’ve had the cake since I was born sadly the banana has absolutely no flavour like really? And I’m not going to be disappointed again …

  • Robert Steigerwald

I’ve been out of the country for over 5 years. I had this on my list of things I had to have. I pick ip a banana cake like I used to have.
