I had a piece of furniture that I had my eye on, but was out of stock online. So I requested to receive an email whenever it came back in stock. Never received that email. So I saw that it was back in stock online and called my nearest store. (1190 West Morena Blvd) I called twice and nobody picked up. Kept getting a message that they were overwhelmed with calls and wait times were long. So I decided to just go to the store and hope it was on display in my nearest store. When I arrived, there were about 7 employees just hanging out, behind the main desk, talking to each other. Guess they were too busy to take any calls. The whole store had maybe three customers. Received no greetings as I walked up. I went to the first person that was not talking. I asked Allen Gore if the particular item I was looking for was in stock. Long story short. Al was great and I made the purchase. They had the item and on the floor for me to look at. Overall, I probably won’t go back to that store or even recommend. I just didn’t get that welcome feeling. Especially when the conversations the employees had among each other was more important then welcoming a new customer. Update on delivery: Delivery was also not satisfactory. They call it "white glove service" but I had to personally clean and vacuum the cabinet itself. (Styrofoam pieces and handprints) Also, styrofoam pieces were left in my front yard, they left a string that I had unscrew a handle to remove, and the cabinet is uneven, so the door do not stay open. They also seemed to be in a hurry and left quickly after delivery was complete.
Terrible experience with Jeromes on Morena Blvd. They are friendly in person but after the purchase customer service is abismal. April was our sales representative and I would not recommend going through her or this location. Our original purchase order was made mid-November and we were given a two week timeframe. The had a special promotion that required us to apply for a new credit card, which ended up lowering my wife's credit score. We had not heard from them and when we reached out we were given a new timeline of end of December. When the end of December came around we reached out again after not hearing from them and got another date of February. We were offered free delivery if we decided to choose a new couch. We took them up on the offer and was given a new delivery date for the next business day since this new couch was in stock. We were given a timeframe of 9-1. The delivery driver showed up at approximately 2:15. We were not informed about any delivery restrictions and when the day of delivery came, we were told that the delivery would not be possible because they don't deliver to the 4th floor. After an entire afternoon trying to get a hold of someone I finally got a call back. When explaining the issues to April she was quick to dismiss my concerns and boast her 7 years of international furniture experience. When we had a retort to her response we were abruptly hung up on. almost 3 months later we are still without a couch and gained a new useless credit card. I would not recommend using this location.
Jerome's Furniture is the absolute best. My son and I went to the Jerome's on Morena Blvd. When we walked in we were greeted by our salesman Danny, he was very thoughtful and very kind. We had to go up stairs and he showed us to elevator and told us he will meet us up there (my son has special needs and is in a chair). The whole time Danny talked to me and my son which I thought was great, I felt important and my son was treated as the sweet beautiful little boy he is. He even brought up a chair that I wanted to see in a different color so we would not have to go back and forth and I could see it next to the table. I purchased the dinning room set, however I was not expecting to have it delivered so fast. We where there on Saturday I received it on Tuesday, it could have been Monday but I needed a little more time. The two delivery men were wonderful, they were on time, fast and cleaned up so well it made me laugh, I couldn't believe it. I noticed a blemish on one of the chairs, I called customer service and Alex is extremely professional and so nice, setup a time so the chair could be swapped out. I know people who ordered furniture from Bob's discount over 8 months ago and they are still waiting for their furniture. I told her she should have went to Jerome's. :) I am so happy with Jerome's Furniture, I highly recommend them, I will most definitely be back soon. Thank you Jerome's.
Love Jerome’s: the store. However I felt compelled to write a review because I was rubbed the wrong way by a sales associate named PATIENCE due to her dismissive attitude. We were shopping for carpets and they are spread out through out the entire store so I asked her for a few different prices because we are SHOPPING and that is how it works. This required her to put her PHONE down and get up off her butt which she didn’t seem to like because she would pretend she could not hear when I would say “excuse me”. We were in the clearance section and needed a price for a rug because there was a sign that said rug prices but this particular one was not in that area. She had to get up off her desk and stop browsing on her phone to assist. She said a price and we told her we would let her know and then she said, “maybe you guys should try Walmart because the rugs will be cheaper than they are here”. Very rude. We asked her for about 3 prices throughout our entire visit so we were not able bombarding her with questions for her to treat us as she did. It felt discriminatory to say something like that especially come from a white woman. At what point is it okay to make assumptions about customers because they don’t want to buy something from them? Patience sucks and is lazy.
I bought a recliner that had defective fabric. Jerome’s was very accommodating, they made it really easy to set up an exchange. The entire staff is friendly, and helpful. They made furniture shopping very easy…because we all know it can sometimes be stressful. April is extremely knowledgeable, she can tell you any information you want about a couch off the top of her head. She is a sweetheart, doesn’t rush you and doesn’t pressure you like other furniture stores. I recommend asking for her 100%! It will make your shopping experience fun. Moises and Monica in the front desk were also extremely nice and made arranging the delivery etc super simple. The store manager was really nice about the exchange of the initial defective couch. My new couch was delivered today and I absolutely love it!! Its a good feeling when you know you made the right purchase! I bought the palasades recliner. Very comfy and looks modern. Also great stain resistant fabric for my 1 year old. Check it out if you are in the store. Thank you Jerome’s team!
Steer clear of Jennifer. Despite her being quite pushy, we bought a chest and two nightstands we fell in love with. We told her we didn’t want to buy the OOOPS protection and even saw her remove it from the invoice. I paid what seemed like a large amount but it’s been a while since I bought furniture, and I’ve never done so in California, so I thought taxes were just outrageous. It wasn’t until the furniture was delivered that we realized she must have added the Oops protection back and we were charged for it. The furniture is still gorgeous but I would recommend everyone avoid Jennifer at this location. Personally, I think she was getting even because we told her my husband was helped for hours the previous day by an associate at another location who was very helpful and she was mad she had to split commission. It’s not about the almost $400 extra she charged us, it’s about integrity, which she is clearly lacking. Very disappointed with my experience and if I can help someone else avoid this, I will.
Ordered my sofa in early January and was told the item would be delivered by end of February/ early March at the latest. It was finally delivered on April 29th ( I moved into my home on February 17th). When I finally got it, half the sofa was missing and Christina, who has been absolutely NO help whatsoever has been a roadblock and a nightmare to deal with, initially told me I had ordered a completely different sofa until I texted her the pic of what was sitting in my living room. Now I find out it’s going to take ANOTHER 3 months to get the 2 remaining pieces, and the compensation that they have offered me is RIDICULOUS ($270 off a $2,000 sofa. They lie and lie and lie…and then give you the runaround AFTER THEY GET ALL YOUR MONEY. Take your business and hard earned cash somewhere else. Oh, and if you ask to speak to someone at corporate, they REFUSE to give you any corporate contacts.
We had such a comfortable, friendly and helpful experience with JR today. We called first- he was encouraging about the sectionals that were available and so we drove down ! (Ps We have - over many years living in San Diego- found exactly what we needed and wanted at Jerome's! Sounds like a commercial,eh?!). He showed us what you had - we had extremely concise needs- and we found the option just right. When we looked for a rug , he brought over a pillow from the sectional so could see if the the rug brought out the gray or the brown( the "color" of the sectional) We were "sold"! We bought a 5' x 7' rug but not sure about the pattern until the sectional is delivered. Bottom line, JR was so friendly, down-to - Earth and casual and easy to talk with. We felt absolutely no pressure- just a relaxed and informative vibe. We have always had success at your store!!!
Mo was my salesperson. I don't know if he was busy with others but everything he did felt rushed and was very confusing. He didn't add an item to my bill that we previously discussed so I had to do the run around to get that done. He also said my delivery was setup for Sunday (ordered Friday), and was very unclear about how I would confirm or know that was the case. He in fact did not set up my delivery date and I had to call after the fact (the next day) and set up a delivery date. Just felt very unprofessional and hurried and confusing for a process that should be handled with care, especially when putting a lot of money down on big ticket furniture items. I think moving forward, Jerome's at Morena would not be my first choice. Interested to see if he even placed the correct order for me when I receive the furniture tomorrow. Woof.
The only thing worse than the quality of the furniture (aside from Jerome's attempt at Spanish in the commercials) is the customer service. We purchased most of our furniture at Jerome's and everything started falling apart immediately. We reached out numerous times to notify that the nails in the stools are falling out alone daily, posing a danger to my dogs, my child, etc. At first a few email back and forth and then completely ignored. I guess they are waiting on a lawsuit or what, but I'm never buying there again. The stool legs cracked and the support beam snapped. The tabletop surface was discolored the first week. I wanna support local businesses but our experience was very negative and will avoid, not even for the quality, but more so for being totally ignored by the service dept.
We were able to furnish our entire apartment at Jerome’s. It’s a set delivery fee, so it made sense for us to to get it all at once and because we bought so much we got interest free financing for 24 months. It’s only been 7 months, but the furniture is comfortable and looks like it’ll hold up well. We love our double chaise sectional, and the wall art came from Jerome’s too. My only complaint was the delivery guys installed handles on bedroom set drawers on the INSIDE but I didn’t notice until they were gone. The guys that came to fix it weren’t very friendly and one tried to sell me extra chairs to my dining room set, while he had the audacity to actually sit down on my brand new chair. I did not care for his brazen attitude. I’d give 5 stars if it wasn’t for the delivery men.
I went to Jerome's to look for a dinning set and as I walked in the furniture store a sales person named Mo walked up to me and asked what I was looking for. He then directed me towards the area where the dinning tables were and allowed me to have time and space to check out the furniture on my own. I honestly felt very comfortable walking around on my own without someone on my back. Mo gave me just enough time for me to fully look around and then he walked over to me and politely asked if I had any questions. At that point he answered all my questions and made suggestions based on my needs. He seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. I had a great shopping experience. I would recommend shopping at Jerome's in San Diego on Moreno Blvd.
Although I like the furniture, I do not like the customer service. I purchased a bedroom set and dining room set. Without opening the package, I figured I did not need the mirror but I was allowed to exchange it for a needed item/nightstand even though the new employee helping me said to bring it in. Also, when my items were being loaded onto my truck, I asked if everything was there before I left. The employee said yes, but once I got to Las Vegas with my furniture my bench was missing and I has to drive back to pick it up or be charged for delivery. Another store, Bodega Furniture had a final sale policy too, but they honored an exchange and Ipaid the difference. For that I was grateful.
My wife and I saw a sofa we liked on the website. But when we got to the showroom and looked around, we saw another sofa that we liked very much more. The sales staff were very helpful in answering all our questions and getting us a great price and financing. We also added a dining room table set my wife fell in love with on display near the store entrance. After we got home and measured we had more questions about the fit. The sales staff again were very helpful in answering all our questions over the phone. The sofa was delivered and setup very professionally. Looking forward to arrival of our dining table. We are very happy with the sales and service at Jerome’s!
Jerome’s has not been communicative with me about the sofa I ordered on Sept 6- i was told it would come late October early November. When I called to check in early October they said end of October early November. I am currently on hold for over an hour. Went online and was given a website that didn’t load. Got a text from someone who said they would check and haven’t heard back from them in 30 minutes. I finally was able to check online and now it says late December! Jerome’s - you have my phone number and email address and have sent me nothing- you have been paid and I have nothing and feel like i am not a valued customer!
I had a phenomenal experience shopping for my new couch at Jerome's. Probably the best shopping experience I've ever had, thanks to how welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable my salesperson April was. I told her what I wanted, and she showed me my options and explained their features to me. Then she gave me time to feel everything out, and when I was ready, she helped me check out and set up delivery. I had no idea I'd have someone personally walking me through everything, and that it would actually be FUN, but thanks to April, it was :). Oh, and I found the PERFECT couch for my space at such a reasonable price.
We visited the outdoor center. We were helped by April who was great! First the new out door area is very nice. It’s pretty large and has a decent selection of furniture and tables at various price points. April let us roam a little and then asked if we had questions. I appreciated that she didn’t come over with a pushy attitude. She took the time to help us select a very nice set in our price range. We made our final selection and she helped us check out quickly. She was exactly how a salesperson should be! Thanks to April and Jeromes. We will have our new set by Wednesday. Great service!
Worst costumer/delivery service I’ve experience in a while. I ordered a queen size bedroom set and never received it because the wrong items were delivered twice and the third time they tried to switch my delivery time the morning of delivery after I had already confirmed a time the day before. The delivery guys showed up without confirming the time and then cancelled my delivery even though it was outside my confirmed time. Immediately I contacted Jerome’s and they said it’s nothing they could do but reschedule for a fourth delivery date… that’s wild! Needless to say I canceled the order
The fact that their warehouse people are so rude and plain simply doesn’t care about the customer itself it really puts that whole store down. Honestly the salesperson as well as the managers are so polite and accommodating, I wish they reflect on how they conduct business in general because my girlfriend was so close to cancel the order and take it elsewhere. Ps. Update later on today as we finally dismantled it since the warehouse crew refused to do it. We discovered that all the bolts and screws are mismatch on top of the fact that there’s a bunch of washers nuts missing.
First after a disaster dealing with living spaces . I went to Jerome’s as I walked in there it was the leather couch I was looking for . Ask sales a few questions ended up walking around there were no pushy sales as I walked the whole store . As I get back to the front told sales what I wanted with in minutes paperwork ready to go the girls behind the counter had receipts ready to go in no time Delivery today was actually perfect on time I recommend this morena store everything went so smoothly Thank you Ll terry Lawson
We love the salesperson who helped us, friendly and straight to the point. But after sales is horrible. We paid 140 dollars to deliver the sofa and they disappeared, they didn't get in touch on the date given for delivery. I had to get in touch and they couldn't find my order and they took a while to find out that it was an error in the route and that's why they won't deliver on the stipulated day. I will have to take a day off to be able to receive something late and the only thing they said was “sorry”.
Aaron Brown is the salesperson who assisted me with my purchase. My furniture is responding to 15 years of wear and tear and it's time for me to spruce up my living room and dining room. It was important for me to find the right decor that suits my own but also speaks to my personality. Aaron was extremely helpful with my selections. I am looking forward to the delivery of new furniture. If you are looking some good furniture that includes great customer service, Jerome's is where you need to be.
Delivery drivers didn’t call before they arrived. They just showed up I specifically requested a call. One of the tables that was delivered was put together incorrectly and wobbly. Where was the QA on all of the products? Very disappointing on the process and communications from Jerome’s on this entire evolution. Still waiting on instructions to pick up the broken table from Jerome’s. But you sent me a review perhaps you’ll make sure things are right before asking for a review next time.
Buying my couch was easy but the customer service afterwards has been a nightmare. I paid extra for the warranty covering stains and have been trying to submit a claim for months now. Customer service rarely answers, when they do they put me off and tell me someone will have to call me back. I'll go weeks without hearing from them and finally get in touch again just to get the runaround. Still unresolved. Will not be purchasing from here again.
We went to the Jerome’s in the Pacific Beach area. Jesse was really helpful and didn’t pressure us at all. He was available when we had questions and answered all of them fully, but he also let us look around without pressuring us to buy something. We had gone in to look around for a TV stand and after looking several other places, came back to Jerome’s the next weekend and purchased one. Good prices, excellent service. Jesse was the best!
I need to file a complaint, I've been receiving messages (3 times, that my item is in stock) unfortunately, Jerome's keeps calling me and cancel the delivery in the last minute for the same reason! Saying, your item isn't available yet. I visited your branch and met with one of the front desk and she said it's a system error and they have no clue when the item will be here. Horrible experience! Ordered 5k worth of furniture including a bunk bed. The bunk bed is missing multiple screws and is falling apart! I have went into the store to ask for help, also have called multiple times. Everytime you call your stuck on hold for 20 mins or more, twice someone answered the phone and hung up on me. My kids can't even sleep in their beds because this horrible company put together a unsafe bunk bed for my kids.
Came in the hope to find some bunk beds and mattress for my kids. April immediately greeted us with a smile. She explained what was available or she could order. She was very helpful and answered all of our questions. We decided to finance and she went above and beyond to make sure we understood what we were signing up for. Finance lady was also pleasant to work with and patient with the whole process. Thank you for all your help.
Francis was very helpful and patient with our indecisiveness. After a couple hours of shopping we were able to purchase all we needed to furnish a small apartment. I’m giving 5 stars for the service, but I’d give 3.5 stars to Jerome’s for not having everything we wanted to purchase in stock at the time. They were able to order what was out of stock, but I’ll be waiting up to 4 months for a particular entertainment unit.
I am in the process of moving to a new place, needing furniture for living/dining/bedroom areas. I was impressed by the quality of the mid-century options they have available. I purchased the Sullivan 5 piece dining room set for $498, for the price it's a great bargain. The staff is attentive and acknowledges you immediately when you walk onto the showroom floor. April Maystead was great, she assisted me with my order.
Francisca greeted me as soon as I walked in the door, I showed her the paperwork for a bunk bed I had just purchased and the type of mattress they recommended, she knew exactly what it was. She was patient while I measured and researched if Jerome’s carried what I needed. She knows her business! This is the second mattress I’ve purchased from Jerome’s this year. Great inventory, LOVE that I don’t have to shop online!
Jerome's Morena showroom did not seem overwhelming like others. While items were also on display throughout the store, the dining chairs, for instance, were grouped in two areas so I could try them all in the same space. Sales people were not aggressive, just very helpful. Great inventory, and great prices, too. Fourth furniture store that day, and I found the perfect dining chairs at Jerome's Morena!
My husband and I are in the market for a few furniture items so we started here. We didn't end up finding anything that we loved, so we didn't make a purchase. However, the salesperson Mo, was incredibly helpful and patient. He explained in detail everything we needed to know about the mattresses and couches we were looking at. So although we didn't end up making a purchase, they still get 5 stars!
My husband and I bought our first dining set from this Jerome’s just to have it break on the first visit that our friends made to our new apartment. As soon as we all sat on the furniture one of the chairs broke and so did the bench. It has been already four months since our Arcadia furniture set broke and they haven’t come to replaced it. We paid $1,200 for such a low quality furniture
The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They have a nice and clean showroom with clear markers of where things are located. I have and will continue to come here for my furniture since 9 years ago I started. Between bedroom sets, dinning room sets, and living room sets. I have been nothing less then happy with all of it. The bloopers are pretty cool to if you find some hidden gems.
We really liked the Bergamo leather sleeper couch the moment my husband and I saw it as we thought it would fit perfectly in our living room. JR greeted us right away and answered our questions. He was knowledgeable with the product. We didn’t feel pressured as he allowed us to fold and unfold the bed, which was very easy to do. The price was competitive also, and we are quite pleased.
40+ year customers no longer. My extended family has been buying furniture from Jerry since 1980. Recent purchase went all kinds of wrong. Scratched floors, broken furniture. I placed customer service request and no response. Only heard back from them after submitting feedback on purchases. (2+ week later) Save yourself some frustration and buy elsewhere.
I really never do reviews so this is kind of a big deal. Couldn’t recommend this Jerome’s location more. From April’s warm welcome and very knowledgeable and creative help throughout the searching process, to the detailed walks through purchasing options, and white glove delivery - this was a home run for me and exactly what I needed. So thankful!

Recently, we bought a drawer chest . The sales person was Gary who was very professional and knowledgeable about the furniture we were interested in purchasing. We were able to find a piece of furniture we liked and was able to get it delivered in 2 days. The chest fits perfectly in the room. Would recommend this product.
I was in need of new furniture. Jerome's wasn't as expensive as I thought. Well, they do have expensive stuff, but they also have affordable furniture. Their sales people were nice and helped me through the financing options. 0% interest if paid off in 24 months. My furniture was delivered that same night I bought it.
Excellent experience. Francesca greeted me with such a great smile when I arrived and listened to my needs with genuine interest. She was extremely professional and helpful. Went extra mile to locate a piece of furniture I need by mid November. My first time shopping at Jerome’s and very impressed. I’ll be returning!
I spent a total of 45 minutes shopping in store without any employees offering assistance. Employees were not wearing masks while guest were in the same room. And no prices were posted on mattresses. Employees spent more time having conversation than paying attention to paying customers. Would not shop here again.
The sales supervisor William Richardson at the Marina Boulevard store was one of the most outstanding sales people I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. I am currently a sales manager for a life insurance company and I really appreciate a good sales person who is very knowledgeable, and very, very likable.
I have purchased all of my furniture here through the years. Great prices, April helped me this time and she was amazing! Personable and professional and I really appreciated her input. Good quality furniture at a good price. Also, the people who help you load your items are always knowledgeable and helpful!

Muhammad was very friendly and immediately asked if we needed assistance. When we were looking at a sectional and told him the measurements of our space at home he grabbed a tape measure to help us. He checked us out with ease. The Morena location is huge with many options. I recommend this location.
Be more professional. Some of the comments made by the sales rep and closer were unnecessary and unprofessional. The sales rep offered the oops coverage and I declined. Then a closer tried to close me and said some unnecessary and unprofessional comments. I left thinking I was at a used car lot.

I purchased a red convertible sofa. I paid the delivery fee but when I put it together the right arm was missing. It had 2 left arms.i immediately called Jerome's and they said they will put a ticket. The right arm will get delivered until Tuesday. Today is Sunday. Terrible service.
Beautifully laid out store & they have the friendliest staff compared to other locations. Nora assisted us and she was so kind, professional and helpful. Excellent service! I like I wasn’t pressured to buy anything, but when I was ready to she was right there to helpfully assist.

Great service, I was in and out same day with a new living room set and ottoman. Danny was super personable and friendly and I got a great deal. I recommend the protection plan, 4 years protection and they’ll come as many times a needed for ANY stain or rip. Love it.

I was greeted at the door by a salesperson. He gave me the information I needed without being pushy. Ask for permission to check in with me after I had had a chance to look around. Then he came and answered my questions, walked me out and was just very gracious.

Moises Barbosa was so helpful as I tried various mattresses and he explained the differences and the advantages. Therefore I was able to successfully pick out one that I think will be perfect. I’m very grateful to Moises for all his help.
We bought a recliner chair today....not alot of color selection but found one that would work with our living room decor. Bill was helpful in walking us around but as for the others we found not too friendly as we toured the building.
April was extremely helpful and even set me up to haul out my old couch. She set up my purchase for another location and found me what i wanted. Would recommend the Morena location to anyone looking for good furniture and great price.

Moses was great, professional, friendly. However I had to wait 20 min to checkout with 5 employees standing around. One person could handle cash and she was on the phone. I changed my form of payment to get out faster.

Excellent customer support. Very reasonable prices. The only negative is that the recliner I purchased is on backorder, so I'll have to wait a few weeks for delivery .. but it should be worth the wait.
