Vita, the sales agent who assisted me was very unprofessional. She was assisting other people when I came in, and instead of allowing another person to assist me with my purchase she was going back and forth like a headless chicken essentially not helping anyone. She made a comment about how my husband wouldn’t fit in the recliner, which is not for him to being with, I had let her know it was so I could rock my baby to sleep. I became frustrated as I was on a time crunch and just needed to submit payment so I asked another person for assistance. She then came over and made it a point to the person who was actually helping that this was her sale, even tho I had done my own research online and was there just to pay for the recliner. She was standing over us literally fighting the other person actually helping I noticed online gave the option to finance the recliner and In an effort to build up my credit I brought this up to the agents, Vita was still hovering over the desk. She scoffed when I advised her I was interested in financing the recliner making me feel extremely disrespected and uncomfortable. My husband intervened and paid for half upfront and agreed to pay the rest upon delivery. However, I was still left feeling uneasy at her reaction to my request. After signing paperwork I asked her if there was a minimum amount to be able to finance as her reaction was inappropriate to my request, and she proceeded to say it’s a small amount and not necessary as the finance company would not finance such a small amount. Mind you.. it was almost $600, I could easily pay this in full I was simply wanting to build my credit. My husband then interned again as her response yet again was very judgmental and rude And advised her he works in sales and is familiar with the finance company they use and knows they will finance that amount. At that point yet another person intervened and said company policy is they don’t finance anything under $2000. I then let them know that was a more appropriate response. I strongly recommend anyone purchasing a lazy boy product to do so online, save yourself the uneasiness and unprofessional experience. I’m extremely disappointed.

We bought a love seat during the clearance. We had issues with the comfort of the furniture. Even though this was a floor model close out, Roger contacted us to make things right.and we were able to exchange our love seat for a couple of chairs. Even though we changed furniture, there is still issues with the comfort. It has been around a month and he covering on one chair is stiff and hard and the other chair is uncomfortable to sit in. We don't understand how three different chairs can have comfort issues. We bought a chair from a different company and do not have issues with it. Follow up: After 6 months the recliner creaks and groans when engaged. The seat and back cushions on both chairs have lost their firmness. So uncomfortable that we replaced the cushions on the Roxie swivel chair by ourselves. Both the seat and back foam and foam cover were stained yellow and smelled bad. It was like someone had been sweating on them. We might as well have bought them at a flea market instead of a retailer. Spending all that money and not at all happy with our chairs. We will be shopping Ethan Allen from now on.

Caveat: this is response to a text request from La-z-bo to fill out a review. I have not received my order yet, rather just placed it over the phone yesterday after an in-store visit last Saturday. I want to thank Roger, the store manager, for answering my call yesterday and patiently taking my order for the sofa my wife I decided to purchase after visiting the store. Roger was extremely helpful in going over the color options and the warranty for the couch I wanted. Definitely no upselling, which I really appreciated it. It felt more like talking to someone who already had the same couch in his own living room. Roger really worked hard to identify the saleswoman who assisted us during our original store visit; we finally figured out who it was. I felt good that Roger was looking out for his employees, and felt he was doing the same with me as a customer on the phone. I did end up purchasing the five year warranty, which added 15% to the sale price of the couch. First extended warranty I have ever purchased, but likely the best investment given our active kids.

Worst experience EVER........!! Order 2 customer made recliner chairs for almost $3000.00 and after waiting several months, one of the chairs arrived and was completely inferior in manufacturing then the other exact same chair. Well, Lazy Boy does not tell you this, but if you have any problems with a piece of their furniture, you must deal with the "Comfort Care' department. Well, I can tell you this..........they DON"T CARE. After having a service tech out 3 times the chair is still not repaired as if it came from the factory. I went back to the Mission Valley store and spoke with Jason the manager and he basically was NO HELP and said I must deal with Comfort Care. I WILL NEVER deal with this company again. Be prepared if there are problems, it will take months to get fixed if they even can fix it. I have bought Lazy Boy products for over 40 years and this by far was not one of the worst experiences, it positively has been the WORST. I hate to resort to posting negative reviews, but I am out of patience dealing with this organization.

My customer service experience has been great. We purchased a recliner for my 94 year old mother at the San Diego showroom. The sales person there was so helpful and patient with us as we considered the different styles and options we thought my mom would like. We purchased an in-stock recliner with a lever. A few days later the chair was delivered, and my mom just didn't feel like she had the necessary strength to operate the lever. We were still within the 3-day exchange period, and La-Z-Boy customer service listened to my story and did everything we could have wanted to remedy the situation and more. They are taking the chair back in exchange for the same model with a motorized reclining mechanism and a remote. They only charged us the difference to upgrade--we did not pay a restocking fee and they are going to pick up the old chair and deliver the new one without charging us a second delivery fee. All of my concerns were addressed in less than 24 hours by La-Z-Boy's kind and understanding staff. Again, it has been a great experience.

My wife and I came in to look at some furniture that we had seen on sale. We were set on getting some recliners. Erin came over and helped us picktout the right ones for us. She was very friendly and answered all our questions. We appreciate her atinativeness to our concerns . But even though we had a good experience with your sales representative. The delivery was anther story. After almost four months due to our customized order, we received damaged furniture with several defectives. The furniture looked as if was pre-used and of very low quality on the fabrication and workmanship. We are very disappointed and when we called to inquire, we were met with an unprofessional response by one of you accoicates. We were able to contact the manager but he did not show immediate concern instead he was hard to get a hold of after our first call. We just want a full refund because we did not get what we were promised and paid for. I assure you that I will think twice before ever purchasing anything from Lazyboy again.

I am SO EXCITED! I highly recommend Lazy Boy Mission Valley. Their store is well merchandised and beautifully decorated . I originally went to a large department store thinking that the Lazy Boy store would be out of my league. However I was not happy with the selection and pricing at the department store. I took a chance and visited Lazy Boy. I was immediately greeted by a very knowledgeable, helpful and very kind young women named Ashley. She was honest and patient working with me trying to find a chair that would fit into my budget. And we found one!! I didn't purchase that night cause I needed to check with a friend regarding delivery. When I called back this morning I spoke to a wonderful man named Jay. He was also very helpful and professional. Finally I had the opportunity to speak with the store manager named Jose regarding a separate matter and I was also impressed with his professionalism and pride in his job. What a wonderful experience I had at Lazy Boy. And WHAT AN AWESOME CHAIR I GOT !

We are shopping for furniture in Massachusetts for our new 2nd home in San Diego so it will be mostly furnished prior to our arrival from Boston when we go out next month for a long visit.. Our local sales consultant, Aaron, in the Attleboro store was graciously able to arrange our purchase (thanks to phone and internet) through the San Diego store so it could be delivered right to our new home. The San Diego sales consultant, Roger, was cooperative and kind enough to allow for this to happen. It was a smooth transaction thanks to these two professionals. I must also say how helpful Aaron was finding just the right pieces with me for the new home even though he knew there was no “sale” for him personally. I’m so pleased at how smoothly this went and how professionally the transaction was completed. I would certainly recommend these two stores for their wonderful treatment of their customers. I’m very excited about the furniture itself too!

I had easily tried over 100 different recliners and 7 different furniture stores, to find the perfect chair for my family. I decided to stop by this location to see what they had and was very pleased with the selection and could tell the quality was there. We had a bad taste from the store manager from the start as he disrespected one of the other employees right in front of us. Ester was amazing and helped us find our perfect chair, during this process the store manager made some comments that did not seem professional. We were ready to buy and Ester was taking care of it and once again the store manager button in and ruined the deal so we left the store to go make the purchase elsewhere. I was blown away with his lack of professionalism and poor customer service. We went to the La Mesa location and had a great experience and got the chair we wanted despite the negative experience we had at mission Valley.

Got the bait and switch on delivery date (which was major selling point...availability). Felt the salesperson mislead me for the sale. Delivery "pushed" from 6 days away to 3 weeks away... but I could pick up at the store in 10 days. Spoke with a manager who's only response was take it or leave it... you want the chair or refund. I agreed to pick up myself (needed the chair), arrived at the store, chair was not wrapped or boxed, cord thrown in the seat, looked like something from a garage sale. Loaded with no help and asked about the promised refund for $99 delivery... worker informed me that store pickup was $39.99 but probably would get the difference... pick up at warehouse would've been no charge....REALLY? WASN'T EVEN OFFERED TO ME! All the way around, this was an utterly disappointing experience.

Terrible service, still waiting for my order, which was placed last year. Customer service treats you as if you were calling from collections (a pest). You are going love the merchandise return (cancelation - 50% of original price) policy. Update: it gets even better, seven months after I placed my order, I'm told La-Z-Boy doesn't deliver to my area. But hear this out, they are going to refund my delivery fee (obviously, they are not delivering) and I'll get an amazing 10% discount for my troubles. What a steal! The discount doesn't even cover the truck rental + gasoline. I decided to cancel my order, get my money back, and order a recliner from a different store (got it within 3 days). You are welcome for the seven month interest free loan.

Franklin was amazing! We came in looking for a recliner that we could take home with us that day (clearance) and of course, we had several preferences on size, color and material. Franklin immediately greeted us and listened to our list of wants. Without hesitation, he searched all of the stores in SD county for a recliner that matched our specifications. With Franklin’s guidance, we ultimately found the perfect recliner there in the Mission Valley store and could not be happier! Franklin was attentive, professional, kind and very helpful. We will definitely seek Franklin out for our future purchases and highly recommend him and La-Z-Boy Mission Valley for their high quality furniture and superb customer service!

Long story long, my boyfriend and I are expecting our first baby and one of my big ticket items I wanted was a rocker/recliner. As we were on our way to Michaels across the way to return something I said "let's stop into LA Z Boy and go sit on some chairs. We walked in, went straight to the clearance section, sat on a few chairs and found the one! It was clearance at $800 off! We asked the staff who were so kind enough to help us close the deal on my dream chair and even explained to us the protection plan that we ended up getting. Overall, our experience was amazing and I'm excited to receive our chair. If you ever step into LA Z Boy in mission valley, make sure you speak with Megan the store manager!

I have purchased my third set of furniture. I specifically went the the Mission Valley Lazy Boy to work with Roger again. He has proven to be very honest and trustworthy. His customer service is excellent. He has gone above and beyond to solve an issue I was having. He is a great example of excellent customer service. This is rare in this day and age. I actually went to the Lazy Boy in LA mesa and was not treated so well, I was not given answers to many questions and I felt as though I was not a valued customer. I felt the opposite with Roger. I will continue to recommend him to others. As for the product, I think the LAzy boy product is excellent, well made and lasts fore years and years...very happy

We wanted to find a couch for our new home and we’ve heard about the high quality of furnitures from LA-Z-Boy. So we decided to give a try. We went to many other stores before LA-Z-Boy, and we feel that couches there are more conformable and of more choices. More important, we really enjoyed the shopping environment. The sales representative was very patient answering our questions. He helped us choosing the one that we like without pushing us making a decision. He even asked the designer to give us an opinion on the pattern of the cushions. We spent hours there trying and comparing, and finally got our most favorite one. It was a very pleasant shopping experience and we will go back again.

Went to the La Mesa location and actually the sales girl there was very nice and looked up potential couches in stock that we could get sooner but nothing was available until Maybe September but she made the effort. She recommended we go to mission valley location because they were selling floor models due to an upcoming renovation. Drove there and the sales person was so rude and not helpful at all!! We could have found a couch there today but the way she treated us we left and found one somewhere else. Disappointed because I love my last couch and recliner from Lazy boy and wanted another to enjoy. The pandemic didn’t help I’m sure but no excuse for how the sales person treated us today.

I would have given a five star rating to this experience if not for the delivery. I absolutely loved the service at the store, Chris the salesman, the furniture and the quality. The delivery was on time and the team was respectful. The three star rating is for the LACK of care of the delivery team. In the process (haste) of moving furniture between rooms, they scratched the hardwood floors and then claimed that the scratches were already there. While I have chosen to leave the floor as is since repairing it would involve removing a large portion of the flooring, I was expecting at least an apology or owning to their mistake, not shifting and the blame immediately.

What a great experience I had shopping for a sofa sleeper and ottoman. Roger was my salesman and he understood my style and what I was looking for right from the beginning. I needed my sofa right away and Roger helped me find one that was on its way from the manufacturer. I also found a really cool ottoman that has a serving tray built-in! That’s going to take a little longer but the sofa will be here in a couple of weeks. The show room is beautiful, clean and a has great variety of sofas, sectionals, tables and of course the La-Z-Boy chairs. I applied and was approved for financing. So when I pay off this purchase in 12 months, I will be back for a sectional!

Good experience shopping. Purchased the sofa recliner and loveseat recliner both in the fabric we wanted. Appreciated the 25% anniversary sale. Had 2 associates help us out - they did a good job explaining things. However, was surprised to learn that special sale pricing on select displays only applied when you purchased the display item exactly the way it is presented. In other words, we were unpleasantly surprised that changing the fabric meant no special sale (though the anniversary 25% off still applied compared to the expected 40% off sale). Not the fault of associates. They did good but think LazBoy SHOULD DISCLOSE this on the special sale sign.

What an excellent experience we had with Robert in the Mission Valley, San Diego store. This young man is not pushy like a typical salesman, he introduced himself just after we entered the store, then told us he was there to answer any questions we had and walked away to let my wife and I walk around and find the furniture we wanted. We took some leather swatches home and went back two days later and purchased some very nice furniture from Robert. He went above and beyond our expectations with his knowledge of the products and never tried to sell us anything we didn't want. We are awaiting our delivery and so far we are sold on this awesome company.

We were looking for living room furniture and weren’t sure what we wanted. The salesperson, Christopher, was very attentive, but not pushy. We took advantage of the In Home Design Consultation, an awesome service that La-Z-Boy offers, where a specialist brings fabric swatches to your home, measures your space, and offers design advice. Then you go back to the store to see what your space will look like with certain furniture. When we went back to the store for the Purchasing Appointment, again we were not pressured to purchase beyond what we wanted. They were upfront and easy to work with. We would highly recommend furniture shopping at La-Z-Boy.

Went to store looking for specific dining table. None of the stores had it but Roger at the mission valley store called and located a server in the same collection at another location. Ultimately we viewed the piece and went back to mission valley. Sara helped us asking if we needed anything as we looked around. Was not pushy or hounding us. Polite, professional and knowledgeable. Purchased 2 couches and a dining room set. We shall see how the delivery goes. We were warned of extended delivery times. Lazy boy was chosen over other stores we looked at because of the quality of the furniture. Not high end but not bargain cheap either. Good stuff.

I had a personal appointment just by myself due to COVID-19. I felt very comfortable being in the store and being able to see the various sofas and try them out. Jenna, the designer, was knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy, a trait some salespeople use that I do not like. She had all the answers to my questions, and we were able to find a model and fabric that I liked. I was in and out of the store in about half an hour, feeling confident in my choice, and excited for my new sofa, which is a large purchase one does not make often in life. It was obvious to me that La-Z-Boy has a well deserved reputation for quality.

Shopping at this location was a wonderful experience. I was given space and time to check out the chairs I was interested in, sales people were friendly and available but not rushed or hurrying me. Once I had pretty much made up my mind Jose was very attentive he pointed out features I haven't thought of showed me other options along the same line he listened to exactly what I was looking for and offered options. I couldn't have asked for a better salesperson to deal with. I have had the chair now for a few days I'm extremely happy with it it fits perfectly in my space it is very comfortable and feels very well-made.

The sales agent who assisted us (Joe) was friendly and personable and also very knowledgeable about the furniture options and inventory. He was not at all pushy and gave us plenty of room to explore the store and try various sofas and chairs. I had an exceptional experience and would highly recommend this furniture store. The quality of their products far exceed that of any other furniture store. I won’t shop at Jerome’s or Moore Furniture anymore because their furniture is cheaply made and doesn’t last. Roger, the manager of the Mission Valley store spent hours with me and then I had a complimentary home designer, Kayla, work with me. She also spent hours evaluating my spaces and helped me select the best fabric patterns to compliment my home and personal style. You get what you pay for here! You will pay more, but it is worth it!

I was overly impressed with our sales rep, Roger. I also liked the choices I had in chairs and loveseats. The store was clean and bright and all personnel were friendly. I had recently experienced unprofessional treatment from two other furniture stores. At your store I replaced a not to long ago purchased chair and sofa chair. They had been in my house only a few weeks when problems occurred and no one want d to handle or even talk to me. I should have come here first. Beautiful US made furniture and extremely helpful in getting me the correct chair for all my needs and comfort. Thank You.

Jose and Lisa are great! Walked in, gave Jose an idea of what it was we were looking for and he took us right to a few options. He was able to answer all of our questions not just about the furniture but the company as well. He also included their designer Lisa which helped us with the layout of the furniture and fabric choices. This is by far the best experience we've had when going into a furniture store. The prices are higher than what you see at some other places but if you're looking for quality furniture with a great selection and even better staff, this is the place to go.

I had a very positive experience at this location. Esther, the sales associate I was working with was very helpful and patient and made the shopping process an enjoyable one. She showed me countless options for both recliners and end tables and not once did I feel pressured into buying anything. I was able to purchase items that were available and "in stock". Needless to say I was very pleased. I highly recommend this La-Z-Boy store and if you find yourself needing good quality furniture, I suggest buying from this location and asking for Esther.

We were able to eliminate a lot of deciding factors quickly under us guidiance and expertise. First time visiting Lazy Boy Furniture and was greeted by Joseph goes by “Jo”. He walked us through selection, configuration, drew up my design that I was having a hard time verbalizing. I saw a 2-D demonstration of my design and was able to try out our couches that were on the floor for display. Such a amazing experience! Told him we couldn’t run our credit because we are buying a home and he let us put a down payment to reserve the couches. We are over the moon thrilled with their customer service! We definitely will be coming back.

i will do business here again, if/ when i need to. store has a wide variety of furniture. sales were friendly & helpful, listening to my desires & explaining how the “ proper fit” is important. sales were patient & more importantly, not pushy & allowed me all the time i wanted (3 hours). i sat in everything i liked multiple times & a few that didnt fit me. i left with the furniture i wanted at a price i could live with. its a la z boy! timothy a, is a great salesman, ask for him & you cant go wrong. sorry to put you on blast tim.

Lazy boy furniture is well made. I’m excited about my purchase of a sofa recliner and loveseat with console. I did not feel that my representative was knowledgeable on the inventory carried in the store. She exhibited inexperience and/or lack of training especially when dealing with the fabrics. She was unable to adequately identify fabric sampled on furniture in the store. She needed help with doing the paperwork and definitely needs additional training. She was friendly and appeared to be doing the best she could.

We have been shopping at La-Z-Boy in Mission Valley for many years and always buy our recliners there. Our most recent experience was over the 2021 Memorial Day weekend. The prices were unbeatable for the quality of the products, and Esther, our salesperson, and Roger, the store manager, went above and beyond for us to accommodate our needs. Jenna, the design consultant manager was also helpful. We have always had a good experience at La-Z-Boy and appreciate the good service we receive at the Mission Valley store.

At this time I really don't feel like going into it. But I will say I'm very disappointed with the service. I had. I had the wrong furniture delivered after waiting 3 months, when I ordered my furniture in February, and was told I would have it the end of March or April. Then after the wrong furniture was sent back the same day it was delivered I received a bill for $7400 5 days later. This is crazy!! We’d been in the hunt for “comfy chairs” for our small Point Loma beach cottagie home’s converted “library/den” for about a year. Finally stuck with Lazy Boy for quality.. but we were blown away by the service we received from Consuelo in the Mission Valley store. It’s a huge understatement to say she was helpful… she became a friend to us, anticipating all of our needs through the process… one of the very best purchasing experiences I have ever had. This will be the third piece of furniture I have purchased from this location of La Z Boy over the last 10 years. I have a couch and club chair and both have withstood some serious toddler abuse and heavy adult napping. They still look as good as the day I received them. I would highly recommend any piece you might be considering from La Z Boy. Their sales staff is very cordial, professional and accommodating. There is no hard sell and they have established a customer for life.

We went to La-Z-Boy to look for our new reclining sectional. Esther was very helpful with explaining everything. Courtney was ofcourse there to help us design our living room, she suggested coffee table and rug that would go with it perfectly. Plus a dining table which would look good with the living room pieces. Financing application was very smooth too. We are very excited to get our furnitures! I went to look for a recliner for my parents and left empty handed that day but with all the information for the specific recliner I wanted. I called back the next day and over the phone they were able to assist me in ordering two recliners! They were extremely helpful and polite and accommodating. Great service and experience with Jean. I felt like I was working with an old friend. She was so knowledgeable and helpful in getting us what we needed. She let us know upfront that some peices might be a 5 month turn around and worked to find us something that would come in sooner. We found the sectional we loved, and she was just as excited as we were when the delivery time was shorter. We would definitely return for future furniture needs.

Meghan and Jay were amazing staff members. Meghan was very friendly and helpful when we started looking a few months ago. We were disappointed that we couldn’t work with her when we decided to buy. Jay really stepped in. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our first choice chair wasn’t available so Jay helped us find a chair that we liked as much. The store was having a renovation sale. I wanted a sleeper sofa. Esther Freeman asked if she could help me. She showed me the sofa I wanted to look at and then spent time selecting fabric for sofa and pillows. Esther was helpful, patient and informative. The shopping experience was great. The sales staff respected my need to explore the showroom on my own but were available to provide help and information when I was ready. Fabric swatches are available to check out for checking color coordination at home. The order process was clear and speedy. Have my fingers crossed that the loveseat looks good in the fabric I picked and arrives in the timeframe quoted.

Shopping for my first recliner was easy and fun! La-Z-Boy has a wide selection and several models met my criteria. The showroom was aesthetically pleasing and allowed me to choose the chair that fit me best. I chose my favorite fabric from an organized selection of fabric swatches. The sales person put it all together and explained the cost, warranty, delivery, etc. Great experience. Highly recommend.

It was an easy process working with Amy and Steve in selecting a power lift chair for my 80+ year old mother. They were knowledgeable and patient while I tested and retested chairs. The overall experience was effortless. I’d recommend visiting Mission Valley location, they’re wonderful. BTW, this is my fifth La-Z-Boy purchase. The quality of the product cannot be beat by other manufacturers.

However, there is something fundamentally wrong with a business that takes seven months to fulfill an order, more so when the furniture is made domestically in Michigan. The explanation for the long lead time was not clear and relied on nebulous “Supply chain” problems, an explanation too common these days to be believable without any details.

I just gotten out of the trauma floor of Scripps Mercy Hospital and my doctor told me that I needed to get some kind of a reclining chair to be in for the next week to two weeks because of my 6 broken ribs. I was able to go in the same day, have a chair picked out within 20 minutes, and my friends picked it up and brought it to my house to set it up for me. I am living in comfort now.

Sara G. was the girl who helped us pick out a sofa, and 2 recliners. My husband has to use oxygen therefore cant move fast. Sara was very patient with him while being professional & knowledgeable. This was the worst retail experience I've ever had. After leaving a 50% deposit, we are still waiting for delivery of our order. No communication, no apologies, no explanations, no customer service recovery. Do not order furniture from La-Z Boy Galleries! We are on 9 months and counting waiting for our furniture. Next step is a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

Long wait just to get salesperson to help us! Then she would go back and forth between customers and leave us standing to wait. Took over 2.5 hours to purchase Loveseat recliner Then she kept pushing the warranty which I found to be very overbearing and pushy!! Overall a very poor experience would not recommend Lazy boy due to poor customer service!!!!!

No Customer Service! Was in there for approx. 15 min and not one associate acknowledged me in any way shape or form. Sat in a dozen recliners and nothing. But some of La Z Boy’s representations on their website were not consistent with what we were offered (e.g. 100% financing, “additional 5% off” for subscribing to their text messages). Also being charged $99 twice for a single delivery of 2 chairs seems like a rip off.
