Probably one of the better stations serviced on the Upfield Line. It's relatively easy to access from both sides of the station with lots of platform space available and adequate shade with a top up machine and a decent amount of bike racks. The only features missing really is a bathroom, more setting for people to wait for their train and an electronic sign board as well. The upgrades for this station can't come soon enough.

A good station, with a fantastic cafe Acustico less than a minute's walk. The car park creates dozens of daily near misses, as it contracts the already crowded and conflicted space for pedestrians, cyclists (upfield bicycle path, and prospective train passengers). Looks like the new development will remove the hazardous car park -- note a lot of the photos here are artist impressions from the developer website.

Named after the 4 time Grammy nominee Jewel Kilcher this station is a true treasure of Brunswick. Renamed from 'Madonna' in 1995 after the release of Jewel's 12 time platinum album 'Pieces of You'. With Jewell being one of the only things, if not the only thing the small country of America is known for, Australia manages to have this great tribute to USA'S greatest export.

It's a good station that is in close proximity to a good range of shops on Sydney Road and also Barkly Square. The station also has a nice old building that fits in awkwardly underneath some more modern apartments. Most of the team it is quiet but during peak times can be busy. Overall, a nice station that I regularly get off at.

Jewel station is under renovation so its about time. Good coffee place nearby. 5 minutes walk from Barkly square if you need to do grocery shopping. There is a free rock climbing playground nearby.

No announcement on missed services. State services will discontinue at 8:30pm each night, without giving a resume time! My work hoped by 730am, but no updated information available....

Great coffee but a took ages and some of the staff were a bit rude.
