I will always shop at this store 1st! Best deals in the city! They are a sister company to HEB, selling many of the HEB and Hill Country products for a lower price than HEB. I know for sure the gallons of water, paper plates, meat, package spinach, salad and even the fruit is the exact same as HEB but Joe Vs offers the lower price. They even have the potstickers and fresh sushi bar. The produce is awesome! Now outside of the great prices the downside is they have a limited variety of some things. Most products are HEB branded so they have Ragu but not Prego. They only have one kind of Eggo, maybe 2 kinds of Lunchables, and 2 kinds of Hot-pockets. They have basket cleaning for COVID, all employees are wearing mask, and no cash handling. You feed your cash into a machine and it disperses the correct amount of change. The lines are always long for some reason even though they seem to have all their registers open. The management staff is always available. I honestly love this store
Joe V West Bellfort area come on down My number one favorite store almost a One-Stop shop spot. The stores and services on the inside cellular and more they have internet service various cell phone plans they have cases for the laptops cell phone cases one thing I love about this place is that if Mr Alex doesn't have it in he'll surely try to get it in for you and it doesn't take long I ordered a laptop once for someone's gift got it in right away also reasonably price. Mr Alex and staff totally great. The variety Store, they have toys shoes for the whole family to Doggy clothes so go for it amazing staff very friendly Mr and Mrs Rising. Shelby's restrooms they Pride themselves on keeping it clean every few minutes God is grace and mercy a lot of family shop there and it's definitely a welcomed eyesight during this cv-19 pandemic it's convenient centrally located it's a teeny ride a way or Metro Bus thanks God bless everyone
I would've wanted to leave 4.5 stars but since I cant I'll just say 5. You can save a lot of money on groceries by shopping here. I specifically came to buy meat as the prices tend to be significantly less than its competitors. In this day and age of high inflation, shortages, and price hikes, every dollar you save counts. Inside was crowded as expected and it does not look the best, but people come here because they want to save and that's the point. One downside which could affect people is that generally you have to pack your own bags, but overall I would recommend them.
This is a frugal version of HEB, in fact they carry quite a lot of the HEB products — at a slightly lower price. Produce prices are good, meats are good quality and also slightly lower price. This place gets very busy on a Sunday morning, mostly family shop there. At this high gas price moments, it's not worth to shop there just for few items. If you were to shop for a big party, yes, definitely buy all your items there, you will save a bundle. Great place to shop in inflated economy. I give it a 5 Stars for the cashier who cleans his conveyor belt for every transaction.
Early Bird Catches The Early Worm. To me, it's always better for me to get in & out before the rush crowd. Nothing is out of order or picked over, and not to many people stampeding towards the line trying to take your head off just to make it to the car or out the door first. The employees may not greet you accordingly as though they are not morning people, but they choose an early shift; Why? maybe to be taught customer service skills.Overàll I didn't buy spoiled nor rotten or expired food this time.Very ecstatic about this last visit.First time Iñ à very long time.
This store is not pleasant to shop at... I've been shopping there since they first open it was nice back then..But now not so much... Especially the produce section..When buying cabbage.. The Mexican always pull all the leaves off of the cabbage and I've spoken to the manager on different occasions concerning the matter and I buy the soup in the package all are chilled/lime /hot and spicy.Never have the Shrimp flavor..And the kids running all over the store the parents be somewhere else. And they are always eating the rolls before paying for it.
Well stocked, very good prices, great bakery, great selections on meat & fish, on produce you will find what you need at very good prices, even a organic sección. You may not find certain brands, and even when they have fast check out available if you are buying 20 items or more expect long lines. Staff very helpful and friendly. Cashiers don’t handle cash, you deposit your cash into automatically machine and receive your exact change. You bagged your purchases but for the great prices it’s all well worthwhile.
Joe V's is HEB's lower-end store, they are owned by the same company. I was used to HEB, but since I moved closer to Joe V's, I can find most of the staples that I would get at HEB here, and most are slightly cheaper than at HEB. There is a good selection of produce, meats and pantry staples. They have a limited selection on a few things, like with baking goods they don't carry dark chocolate chips. Overall I think this is the best grocery store nearby.
Good prices on items like fresh meat, fresh fruit and vegetables, soft drinks, chips, cookies, oatmeal, bread crumbs, dairy, frozen food, ice cream, and more. However, you can’t do a complete shop because they carry very few low fat products; no light salt products no light salad dressing and limited selection of jam, preserves and bar soap. It’s still a very worthwhile trip for good savings. Note: Avoid Sunday as just too crowded.
I love this store and have been buying here for a long time. The only concerning thing is that bottles of water are left outside in the front of the store with these 3 digit temperatures. I no longer can buy bottled water from this store. It worries me, the amount of chemicals being released into the water and also the number of people that consume this water. I hope someone in management can do something about this.
Never heard of Joe V's but since I moved this is the closest store to me. They have a lot of HEB brands which I dont mind. Prices are good 20 bucks can go a long way if you shop smart. The reason I give it 4 stars is that not all the parking lot has bright lights the further back you go the darker it gets. The clerks are friendly and the staff is always doing something which is a good thing! All around a good store
For truck drivers. They have three docks only two works once you get a right angle there's enough space to back and easily but look up in Google map how to enter otherwise you will be struggling to back up in blind side. There's a phone number written you might have to call because more than likely nobody will be back there. But overall stuff is nice take their time but still don't unload you on decent time.
Joe V's is a discount grocery store, similar in set like stores up north called Bj's and Sam's club. But some items are priced cheaper than Walmart. The produce section is huge with plenty of different fresh vegetables. But I suggest you come early because you will get the pick over veggies. No one loves pick over veggies. The meat department was really good as well, fresh looking meat and plenty of it.
I was riding around and I saw a Joe V's Smart Shop. I know that it is a part of HEB, so I wanted to see what it was like. The prices are a little less than HEB for the same products. The store was clean. At this time, there were no long line of customers at the checkouts. The store only accepts cash and debit cards. The cashier doesn't handle the cash. Overall, my experience was a pleasant one.
It was a great experience shopping here as usual. The staff was all in mask and wearing gloves throughout the store. It was an in-and-out trip which was surprising considering how many people shop at Joe V's. I went down the 20 items or less line I had forgot my snap card at home but the attendant allowed me to enter my information manually it was such a great help I will be returning.
Come here all the time I absolutely love the prices they have fresh fruit and they actually carry a small organic section which is great. The only reason I wouldn’t give it the five full stars is because they have extremely LONG lines they are not very organized when it comes to that. If you have to pay for a few items only get ready to wait about 15-20 minutes sometimes .
I 100% love this place! One of the best grocery stores in town with affordable food pricing on a ongoing basis. You don’t have to wait for sales because of the pricing! Produce is plentiful and fresh and so is the meat department! One of the best places to stack up on water! If you have children in the house…milk, kid friendly foods and snacks galore reasonably priced!
The prices are pretty good but during certain times of the month, it's crazy packed. During those particular time frames, you would think they would have all lanes opened but they don't. Then people have their kids running all over the store which is a major safety hazard. I avoid Joe V's during certain times of the month and holidays. I shop elsewhere or just wait.
Don't wanna be negative but this place needs to UpDate there cashier Card Reader to tapping EASY & FAST takes 1 person over 3 minutes to finished Paying, Why I hope the Manager/ Corporate UpGrades there Cashier Registers No Excuses one more thing this place is Not bad to purchase Groceries I Recommend this place 100%.....♂️☯️ …
It was my first time shopping there and it lived up to the hype. I spent $100 and got so much more than I would at a traditional store. I am a HEB shopper, I got brands I was familiar with. Meat was fresh, I just enjoyed my shopping experience. I just wish it was a little closer to home it was a 20-25 minute drive but well worth it.
I love coming here. The prices are remarkable and they're HEB products so you're still supporting Texas while shopping there. The dates are closer to their expiration date so be careful and always check your items before you purchase them. The staff needs improvement as they are not very friendly or knowledgeable about the store.
The prices are very good, I saved a good amount of money on products I'd buy from another grocery store. The produce section can be busy but the store is good at giving you a good selection and price point. I've never been, but plan on being back to help save money. A good choice for people shopping on a budget!
I love Joe V's fresh produce, the meat is fresh and pretty ..the store is always clean an it don't stink... Best of all I love love love their prices... With the economy it's wonderful on my pocketbook.... Thank you keep up the good work.. they may not have everything but the main thing is great …
This store is good for families maybe on a budget and or large families! Reminded me of a smaller HEB version Costco. I was greeted with a very welcoming gesture and was encouraged to enjoy my shopping experience. I will be back the steaks looked great and we're $3-$4 cheaper than Kroger! Just saying!
The way groceries have went up this was my best option. They may not have everything but I got more for my money. It was very clean and organized. The managers and cashiers were very kind and efficient. You may have to bag your own groceries but who cares when you're saving money. …
It has great prices but only accepts debit cards or cash payments. But it carries some HEB Brands and has a good produce section. They now accept credit cards which is helpful . Nice produce and meat Sections It is always busy and a little crowded in the produce section.
This used to be a hidden gem.. They seriously need a location near Alief or Highway 6 because Driving to this area almost repulses me. And it's over crowded like a swap meet in the 90's. Prices are generally great when I used to be a shopper
I go there because it's cheaper than anywhere else.....HEB PLEASE ROTATE THE SELECTION. YOU GUYS HAVE DIFFERENT HILL COUNTRY FARE product. Please please stop filling the racks with the same food year after year. Try different products not
Prices were like a .75-1.45 plus over the normal prices but Fiesta and other stores were doing it as well. Store had no chicken period and limited meat and dairy items. 3/21-25/22 as always like those prices and enjoy good deals …
Great store the food is cheap compared to Kroger, Walmart , or any expensive grocery store but people please if you’re about leave the parking lot and try to reverse your vehicle check your surroundings because clearly these people don’t
Yes the food is discounted. They do have most of the cashiers lane open. But still you have long lines. Big traffic in that store. They have a bank inside of it which is always pack to. They have a big selection of produce. And meat. At
Always good prices though food costs have risen sharply for groceries all over. Good selection of fresh produce and meats. I was on my way to the doctors on that side of town, so I figured I'd pop in and get a few things missing at home.
I save a lot of money here buying products that are from HEB. Ensure to check expiration dates ! I always find what I need and the layout flows very well for me. Parking is sometimes too little, and too much foot traffic inside and the
My regular grocery shop but give 1 star for some careless cashiers. This is the 4th time they charge me more for some items. Today only $9.80. I recommend everyone to check their calculation before leaving this shop. Careless cashiers.
Some of the reviews I read said the store was dirty, the employee's are rude and you had to bag your own groceries. The weekly ad had some good deals on fresh vegetables, so I decided to take a chance and go. I brought my own reusable
Prices are reasonable. I always find what I'm looking for. Only problem is they should announce more on parents letting their children run around freely not near them. Other than the unsupervised children, it's a great shopping spot.
I wish they do better on the produce and me how it looks is very overcrowded there but the employees and workers are very nice but is very nice because how everything is priced out that's why it's crowded it's a good bargain
Prices makes everything affordable. But I would never buy any type of produce from here again. I brought a bag of grapefruit and it spoiled within a week. Grapefruit shouldn’t spoil that fast, it literally had mold on it.
They have a lot of different types of fruits. A very nice place. I go shopping here every so often. Sundays are the busiest day to go shopping. I wouldn't recommend going shopping on Sundays. Unless you have no choice.
Do not come on Sunday they never have carts it’s ridiculous people chase u to your car even u leave out for your basket I’ve been standing out here in the 100 degrees waiting on a basket for 20 min and I’m handicap
Great store for buying beans, sardines, and other items that are essential to my restricted diet. This and the other one in the area near the highway have slightly different selections, but they are both great.
They have good right variety of food big packages and very good price it was not packed at all so I really liked it in the blind move the long very fast and clean also so I definitely recommend this store.
Great store with lots of variety but always overcrowded in produce making for an outdoor market type of experience. Checkout lines are also long. Finally, the cost was comparable to Kroger/HEB.
I like the large guavas and mangoes that are both crunchy and sweet, and the young mangoes that are sour and crunchy. The price of everything in this place is cheaper than all other markets.
First time to this one and it the cleanest by far! It's Sunday and I feel maybe more line should be open buuut I can't get over how clean and stocked this Joe Vs is .... Great job Team!!
I love the clearance rack, oh la la. i get all my shopping done in one place rather than going to different stores. The prices are exceptional and no comparison. Thank you Joe V's.
It's a great in and out quick shop. I like that you bag your own stuff cus I'm picking about it. Only bad thing is not much variety down the aisles but still can get a basket full
I recently discovered Joe V’s and holy cow!! It’s a game changer. Selection is slim and the fruit/veggies aren’t extremely fresh but for meat and misc items it’s pretty darn good.
Its always packed but I love the prices , especially the way the economy is going. I'd drive all they way to each location over Fiesta anyday. I wish there were more locations.
This place has really good prices. Like things are really cheap here. Meats i dk havent bought but everything else is good. Would highly recommend to strech a dollar.
Love this place and ALWAYS finding amazing sales or deals and NEVER had to return food yet. I 110% suggest shopping there and the employees are helpful and friendly.
Great store with great prices including the case of water bottles are like 2 bucks can’t beat this price and I’m glad H‑E‑B own and operate these stores ❤️ …
If you like HEB you’ll like Joe V’s basically it’s all of HEBs expiring (mainly applies to fruits, veggies, and meats) products sold at 70% the normal price.
My wife and I were so amazed how much groceries we got for $100. This will where we will be shopping from now on. Our cashier was extremely nice also.
Scared for people to know about this place...but low-key cheaper than Fiesta right down the street. And the water refill is 5 gallons for 1.50.
I love this place and so happy I was introduced to this shopping experience. But they can get crowded. All in all I had a great v experience.
Prices keep going higher. Gas rate go on improving lower. It inflation going down. This should reflect on consumer on shelf purchases.
Very good place to shop. Great prices, fully stocked. Awesome place for a family to get everything they need for a reasonable price.
I needed to run in to grab some things for dinner. First time at this location. Lots of people were there. Easy in, and easy out.
Lots of parking good prices plenty of space in asile product was clear to reach friendly workers very ready to help. Good prices
Great produce section. Decent prices... Con: Always packed, and be prepared to wait in check out line for at least 10-20 max...
The sign for not open carry was covered up with a trash can ,need to be on front door where you come in not where you come out.
I love me some Joe V’s it’s cheaper and has bigger portions than Walmart! The store itself is huge and the produce is fresh.
They stay extremely packed. It is a different kind of shopping experience. They have a limited selection of items as well.
Always there for their customers. Very affordable prices. Always organized and clean which makes it nice to shop there.
Store has very little atmosphere but really good prices certain things. I get in overwhelm in the store too spread out!
Love the prices and people who work there are super friendly! They love their jobs which is a big change …
You'll ALWAYS find something you need & g, even if not the brand you're used to... and they're good.
The store is huge and hard to find items. Nice employees, MIRACLES PEACE FAITH AND BLESSINGS ✝️
Great grocery store. Very affordable. A little unorganized but worth searching for the items.
Good prices wide variety and quick service. Great store if you like to buy large quantities.
ok ploace to shop just that a lot of ppl just let their kid run wierd at times. overall ok
I love Joe V's always has great selections of meat and fruit. My babies love their bakery

I am returning to this place without a shout of a doubt love it all my babies love it too
Fantastic place to shop for groceries great prices and they have good products also
Low prices very good quality food fresh clean everything in place clean not crowded
I go to that store for the tomahawk steaks only and I get out as quick as possible.
Dont go sunday or Monday. Go in the morning of weekday ! It's another world …
Ghetto! Carts were scattered all over the parking lot. No hand baskets, at all.
Love this store great customer service. Great prices and they stay stocked up
Store very clean and organized. Cashiers very professional and very helpful.
I love shopping here even tho it's ALWAYS PACKED! I wish I stayed closer
If you going to bbq this is the place to go. Can't beat the prices
Great place, I have compared prices with HEB, and yes we do save!
My go to spot for most grocery shopping. Saves me a lot of money
Really went well not too long to shop nor was the check out long
Very affordable options that we can get here. Must come back.
Everything is at low prices for large families, very suitable
Nice selection of quality products, competitive prices
Great prices, good selection, fresh vegetables …
Went here for the first time tonight and I loved it.
