"The Junction is my go to pub in Upminster high street and the reason for this is simply the “staff” who work incredibly hard everyday to make my experience as well as my family/friends the best it can be, nothing is ever to much trouble and always delivered with a smile! Massive Thankyou to Scott/Tom the managers and the entire crew Chris, Ciaran, Sarah, Sam and Des"

Lots of issues with this pub. Due to the way it's been built/designed/kept the bar gets extremely noisy when there is more than a gaggle of people inside meaning it's difficult to hear yourself and others speak. Extremely frustrating when you just want a chat with friends over a pint. The main issue with the pub comes from dining experience there. Five of us ordered food and one of us got there food within 15 minutes. We all just sat there watching him eat the entirety of his dinner whilst we waited another 35 minutes for our food. My friend ordered a vegan burger so dry and inedible he had to return it and ask for a refund (which they have). I waited nearly an hour for my food which was smaller than advertised. I was so hungry I ate it without complaining. I wouldn't go here again for food or for drinks unless I knew it was going to be quiet.

Massive Thankyou to Scott/Tom the managers and the entire crew Chris, Ciaran, Sarah, Sam and Des. The staff help each other out and step up as I recently saw with Sarah staying late not complaining and covering her piers efficiently. These guys don’t just turn up to work and clock watch they innovate and care , greene king you’re lucky to have them Bosch !

Just fine, tried to watch the F1 but had to watch a small screen, in standard definition and the sound was too low so you couldn't hear the commentary and conversations. Otherwise fine. Just an edit on this, I went back to the manager but haven't received a response yet. Yes, despite the condescending tone and message, I was in the correct pub. Yes there were people in the pub watching the race, but the TV we manage to get a space by was a smaller TV, not a large TV or projector screen. And there were no speakers where we were sat so I couldn't hear it. None of our group could. So there was nothing in my review that was inaccurate.

Lovely friendly staff, prompt service, very clean,Not wheelchiar accessible but the fantastic dep manager Tom went above and beyond by lifting my wheelchair in and made me feel very comfortable and not that i was being a nusiance like some other establishments, this made my visit a 5 star. The food all looked good but the Katsu burger hit the spot would reccomend this.I will be coming back as had a great time, others patrons also welcoming which makes a diiference when i go out to a pub.

It’s a very hostile inviroment and bring that to the station, upminster. Not kid friendly UNLESS! You know some who works at the ‘Yoman’ (Old name) The only time they make the most money is, sorry other football teams, westham or UFEA or world cup is playing! Avoid night times asit gets busyer as dad go the get wankered after work. (Its true) I would recomend a replacement pub called ‘The Plough’ In cranham, upminster. You can’t miss it!

Great pub. Lots of TV’s normally showing football. Locals seem friendly with a good atmosphere. Food is Normal pub grub but served quickly and of good quality. I had the chicken sandwich and my friend the burger. Both of which were hot and tasty. Bar staff were also very friendly. Note there is no Garden and limited tables to the front on the busy main road. Location is easy with it being right next to Upminster station.

  • Steve Seaman

Very pleasant Green King pub very handily situated virtually next door to the station. Spacious with a variety standard and high tables. Three reals ales on tap plus a range of other beers and lagers. Service is friendly and brisk whilst card carrying CAMRA members receive a discount. Typical pub menu with table service for food. A series of TV screens around the bar make it a likely venue for watching sports.

This Pub is Awful you go in to use the toilets as it is a Public place the staff come shouting at you saying u not allowed to use Toilet When u win on the Fruit Machines the Staff get Angry and Suspicious they never change Pound Coins back to Notes they ever have any In there Strange that is for a Pub. Use Wetherspoon Pub down the road Ten times better than this Dive

  • Billy O'Connor

The Junction used to be called The Essex Yeoman but since the change of name, it has got much better. Selection of beers is good although it can be a bit rowdy when the football is on especially if West Ham is losing. Very handy if the toilets at Upminster Station are closed. That said the toilets at The Junction could do with a good clean. So only go if desperate.

  • Spencer Littlechild

So worth a visit. Cracking bar staff so very friendly. Always really welcoming every time I visit. Great place to watch football and a great place for banter with staff and customers. Always great live music and great food. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks all

  • Paul C

Pretty good pub. Usually go there before eating at the Alishan Indian. Beers usually okay, I have only had two bad pints in all the time we have been going there but they were changed without any argument (always a good sign of a decent pub). Needs to up it's game in relation to real ale as the Upminster Tap Room is only round the corner.

  • Natasha McGuire

Stopped in here while visiting family. Fabulous atmosphere and great staff!! Special mention to Thomas who seemed very up to date on food safety and was happy to help me navigate the menu to suit my dietary requirements. We will definitely be back when we are next over to see family!!

Nice busy local pub. Friendly staff and a decent pint at reasonable prices. Ordered large fish and chips, got a small side of scampi and curry sauce. Well worth the money. Parking to the rear for a nominal fee, which is refunded with your first purchase. Recommend. Live music on certain dates Thank you for a nice evening

  • Glen Bixby

Met a friend for lunch and decided on this venue. Near to station, very reasonable tasty food and drinks available. Good service, nice atmosphere in pub. Finished meal with coffee and cake offer great value. Certainly a nice place to visit with good food and drink that is very reasonable price. Would recommend.

  • Andi Cheese

Very nice pub, good friendly service and helpful staff. Nice selection of 1980's music in the background. Reasonable selection of food with a couple of vegan options for those like me. The only gripe being the puddles on the floor in the gentleman's toilet and cubical which was very off putting.

  • Roy Luxton

As the pub is now under new management I wanted to see what it was like. There was a good choice of food and the food I ordered was extremely tasty and was delivered promptly. The staff were friendly and polite and the atmosphere was great. I look forward to a return visit soon.

I can’t give 6 stars sadly, the team are just incredible, I’ve worked in service all my life and when I say they surpass expectation, it’s an understatement. Always a great experience.

Very pleasant lunch with friends here today, the hunters chicken open sandwich was very nice. Although some of one of my friends food was delayed in coming out to us the staff were very friendly and apologised. Nice quiet atmosphere for a calm lunchtime drink.

Decent service, good drinks and convenient location next door to the station. Although I only popped in for a quick drink so can't give a rounded review, I certainly found nothing to complain about nor any reason not to return.

  • Charlotte Moss

Stopped off for a drink with friends on my commute home from london. Incredibly convenient and very accessible. Incredibly polite staff, clean premises and a fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely be stopping off more often!

  • Steven Parkinson

Decent pub, fair prices. Music was a little on the loud side for piped music but not so loud we couldn't hold a conversation. Lots of seating and some mushrooms to stand or sit at. Bar service quick and friendly.

  • Adam Lawrence

Great warm up pub for WE ARE FSTVL, the tunes were banging out when we came out the station and service was pretty quick. The queue for the ladies was ridiculous, but then again I don't have to worry about that.

  • Snake 247 Eyes

Great place to have a pint and watch some sport. They play all sports and the staff are very helpful and kind. They also have poker games every Wednesday from 8 which is great fun. Would recommend 10/10.

Just across the road from Upminster station. I find it a nice lively pub but also with a cosy seated area for chilling out with a beer. A good pub for a refreshment or two before your onward journey.

On first impressions nice pub, but burnt garlic ciabatta and find a big lump of foil in your nachos and you'll find that first impressions don't always count. Just don't eat there
