Great place! Gated entry, code changes every Tuesday. People inside the office are helpful. They have host teams throughout the campsites. Very on top of things as soon as a camper leaves. They are right there cleaning up for the next one to come in. The dumpsters are emptied everyday. They have bath houses, washers and dryers. They're $3 each . They have walking trails lakes but I don't suggest swimming in the legs due to alligators being seen in the lake. If you want to go swimming, walk across the boardwalk and find the beach very beautiful! There's a camp store there. There not much in it but you can rent bikes I believe. Kayaks very friendly as well. They have the necessities in the store. If you like to go off the campsite, there's many things to do as well. Places to eat. There's Walmart Publix Big lots. You name it. The mall's not far. Safe harbor market is a fresh seafood place. Wonderful prices and a bit of everything across the street from that is the safe harbor restaurant. Wonderful food there as well but I do suggest to do takeouts waiting in line's. Not worth it, but if you do it take out it's 15 minutes versus an hour in line. There's a fairy down there as well just past the markets and the theory is on the left. They take the money while you are on the car on the ferry. The campsites are good sized, very wooded bring your mosquito spray and if you have pets make sure they're on tick prevention. Loads of ticks I should say little teeny weeny ones. Bring your tweezers just in case. And out Neosporin. And alcohol. I suggest if you're going to go in the daytime to set up. Do not try to do it at night. Night it's not easy. No street lights in the campgrounds is very dark. He has the roads, are narrow. And no street lights is hard to see but with the narrow roads comes you can go any direction. There's not an in or an out. It's all the same. You need to make sure it's a clear sailing before heading all the way out. That's the only drawback I had seen with the park but everybody there is willing to lend a hand. Finding a host family is not a hard thing. Thing they're usually on every corner and they have a sign that says host. They are there for a reason. You need something you ask them. They're very sweet. Dogs are allowed on the beach, just clean up after them. Have fun!

LOVE this place. What a great find. If you have a big fancy rig...probably not for you. It's tight..its a state park not a resort. They have a private beach..1.4 miles of it to be exact. And OMG...waking up there and walking a half a mile to watch the sun rise over the Atlantic for 6 days...was amazing. So much so, this stay lowered my husbands chronically high blood pressure to normal. He hasn't had normal blood pressure in ten years. We were there in May. Very calm during the week. Weekend it was busier but we didn't go to the beach as it is busy with the (paid public access) folks that came to enjoy the local beauty. This park has more than friendly staff, 4 washers and dryers, lots of trash and recycle containers and a shower house that was clean while we were there indeed. There is 2 playgrounds and a lake as well on the property. We stayed on lot 51 and 83 and liked both of them. 51 had just had some tree damage so it wasn't as shaded as I believe it once was. The water was good with just our inline filter. The laundry was great and our clothes came out cleaner and less wrinkly than a lot of facilities we've used in our travels. The propane fill is easy to get to and convenient to do while you are there. The little store has bike, kayak, games and toy rentals You can reserve/rent the pavilions for events.

We've winter camped (no snakes, no bugs!) with family and friends at Hannah Park for the past few years and have always had a positive experience. Being local, it pays to head to the campgrounds to scope out ideal campsites ahead of making reservations. Our sons are adults, so we don't utilize the playground, but there are so many other things to do. The park has nature trails, plenty of places to bike ride, a nature center, and Atlantic Beach is literally a few minutes away by foot on the other side of the park! For your convenience, the campgrounds have a store, laundrymat, multiple restrooms with showers, and host campers to assist campers around the clock, if needed. Also, the Atlantic Beach Police department is nearby, and the park is frequently patrolled. I can't wait until my grandson is old enough to go camping with us so we can carry on our tradition to the next generation!
Restrooms
Depending on where your campsite is, you may have to drive to the bathroom. They're not the cleanest, so you'll definitely want to bring shower shoes!
Dog-friendliness
We have brought our family dogs before with no problems. Must have proof of current vaccinations and city registration tags. There are plenty of places to walk your furbaby.

Hanna Park is an awesome place that has a bit of everything to offer. There are beautiful beaches with showers and bathrooms, camping, kayaking, good waves for surfing, walking and biking trails, fishing and the list goes on. It feels like you have gone deep into nature, away from civilizations, without having to drive an hour outside the city. It is a gorgeous place to take pictures and have family pictures.
Features
Playground: Yes
Public restrooms: Yes
Off-leash dog area: Yes
Picnic tables: Yes
Barbecue grills: Yes
Playground
It is a fun and unique playground but there is no fence and it is close to the water. You have to keep a close eye on kids so they don't wonder off too far. It is a gorgeous view and there is usually a nice breeze. There is no shade over the park so the evenings are best during the summer time to play. There is a little bit everything for different age groups and they are all mingles together so the older and younger kids play in the same area. Even when there are been a lot of people having parties and a lot of cars the park and splash pad never feel crowded.

We picked this park based on other reviews but didn't find it as wonderful. We had difficulty getting into our spot with our 26ft RV and almost hit multiple trees. There are camp host on every corner but none seemed too hospitable when having to jack knife the trailer to get it parked. The website said we had the last site available but there were many others open the 4 days we were there, several of them pull through. We were also told on the registration site that our site was not a full hook up but luckily it turned out to be. Definitely call to speak to someone to get your reservation and don't trust the website. The walk to the beach was about 10 minutes. The campground is very shaded with lots of large trees which is good and bad. The bathhouses were terrible. I was very glad not to have to use them. Everything in Jacksonville is at least 20 minutes away. I would go back to stay if just wanting a quiet week at the beach, but would call first.
Playground
The playground had recently been redone and was nice but simple.

We love coming here. The canopy keeps the heat from getting real bad in summer. There are many sites where you can have complete privacy and be off on your own with nothing but greenery. Walking, biking, skateboarding and roller blading are very popular. We love walking the dogs each night either on the nearby beach (which allows dogs) or in the campgrounds. If you forgot something or want something, the retail world is not far! We have a travel trailer, but you can tent camp, travel trailer camp, rv camp or even rent a small cabin. There is something for everyone. I also saw several play areas for the kids throughout the grounds. The restrooms/showers are sparce and not luxurious but quite usable. We go up once a year to get away and relax. It's quite perfect for this!
Playground
Several throughout camp grounds
Restrooms
Not luxurious, but clean and available with showers.
Dog-friendliness
Our dogs love walling the beach and the camp grounds

  • Chris Camp

Disappointed! We were suppose to stay Monday til Monday! We packed up and left 5 days early. The sites are so tiny that all you can do is park your RV! Good luck if you have room to open your awning or slide out for that matter. It will take some time to maneuver you RV to fit. The reservation site information is not accurate the RV sites are not level. There is no grass it is mud when it rains! The park bathrooms are not kept clean. They floors are ctinuously wet and dirty. Roads are very narrow so have some patience when traveling through the park and watch for kids on bikes! Okay now for the positives: I give it one star because we did get to the beach. The beach is nice! The Camp store is equipped with the common things you may forget to pack . There is propane filling station and they have ice too. In my opinion it is not worth the money to camp here for a long period of time. If you are local make it day trip to the beach.

First time at this cozy park on the beach. Picnic tables and grills on site. Boogie boards and beginning surfer friendly. I got baptized here on May 15th with 640 people! Coupled with over 4 thousand spectators cheering us on! This is a yearly event with Church Of Eleven 22. All the campuses come together in perfect harmony once a year to offer baptism to anyone. It's an event open to the public. You don't have to be a member. Despite tornado warnings, storms and high winds, God held the rain from falling until everyone was baptized! It felt supernatural. Just imagine God parting the Red Sea...lol. A black cloud hung over the crowd and literally parked above us. If lightening had emerged, the life guards would have cancelled the event. We began to pray. God stilled the storm in His hands while we proclaimed our Lord and Savior as Jesus Christ, the Son of God! Hallelujah! Amen and Amen Follow me for more adventures!!

  • Jordan Long

Never disappoints. I usually come here by myself or just with the kids but today we brought the dogs for the first time. It was an overall great experience! We managed to find parking quickly at lot 5. We walked a minute or 2 to the left of the boardwalk and found a very large empty area we could sit/run with the kids and dogs and not be bothered. Cops/rescue cars were regularly patrolling by to make sure everyone was okay (and didn’t present any additional problems) in the absence of lifeguards, which was comforting. On another note, we’ve also held one of my daughters birthday parties here about 3 years ago and it was a wonderful experience. Reserving a pavilion was easy and all of our guests were able to find parking by us easily. We saw many parties going on today as well and everyone seemed to be having a great time

  • Michael

Love this place. Only downfall that I have is during the hotter times of the year the beaches can become overly crowded and there's gators here. Otherwise this place has it all. There's tons of areas to have picnics and BBQ. There's areas to play a bunch of different types of sports. There's a mini water park with zip line for kids. There's a bunch of trails for those who like to hike or bike or take the dog on. There's a beautiful lake but I advise not to go in because there are gators in the water. They do charge $5 a car. They have bathrooms and showers in certain areas and this place is great for camping and bringing an RV or camper. Friendly staff as well. PS. Do not speed on the way there for 2 reasons. Plenty cops and the road there is all dips and holes so you will be messing up your car.

First time RVing at a Florida State Park and our family loved it!! We stayed in site #33 and had a nice section of trees and palms between us and the next sore on our camp side. RV park and the Hanna Park in general are absolutely beautiful, very clean and natural like it should be!!! Easy walking access to beach and lake. We saw an alligator at the lake and dolphins at the beach! So many things to do here we wish we had more time, but will definitely be back!! Bring your bikes/scooters ect we ended up renting some for one day at $30/beach cruiser. RV park check in is at 1pm! We were let in the main park gate an hour early and when we got into the RV park we had to wait for our site to be clear...overall beautiful park with alot of great things to do, we will be back!!

  • Dude

In A Nutshell: -Hanna Park is a wonderful park located in the northeastern part of JAX, right next to Jacksonville Beach. -You will pay an entrance fee to enter during your hours of operation (8am to 8pm). -This sucks slightly b/c if you enjoy running or exercising earlier in the morning, you'll have to postpone your workout until 8am. -Once you are inside you can find many parking lots. -The park is unique b/c it covers various terrain such as the ocean, swampy forests & freshwater ponds. -There are many trails for both bikes & pedestrians. -It's best to do a basic map recon & plan out your route, but if you don't have time, you can just get lost & follow the trails. Overall, becareful when you running in the swampy area b/c there are alligator warning signs.

This place is BEAUTIFUL! My family went here during our recent road trip, through 7 states. When we got there, it started raining and there were rip tides so we couldn’t get right into the beach as we had planned. We drove through and explored some other areas of the park while it rained and I am SO glad we did. It was easily one of my most favorite parts of our trip. It didn’t rain very long, we explored and played at the park for about 40 minutes then headed over to the beach. The waves weren’t very strong at all which was nice in my opinion, some of my group hoped for bigger waves though. It was not busy at all (not sure if that’s just because we waited the storm out or not) Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area!

  • Chris Foster

Staff is super friendly and helpful. The beach is literally right here. Would be awesome if the tent areas were a little more level. Only flat enough area for my tent was closer than I would like to be to the fire pit. Water and electricity in the center of the camp site is fantastic. Super peaceful, few dogs barking but overall I haven't heard anyone. Sad the store was closed only on Monday, the day I arrived BUT you're literally 5-10min from everything and anything but you don't hear cars or the hustle and bustle of the city. Overall pretty awesome camp ground and I'm glad I came.
Restrooms
The one at camp ground store is honestly pretty run down and dirty looking. I usually expect that at a camp ground but still worth mentioning.

Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park is a stunning coastal park located in Jacksonville, Florida. With its miles of sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and lush natural surroundings, the park is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, from surfing and swimming to hiking and biking through the park's numerous trails. The park is also home to a large freshwater lake, which offers a peaceful retreat for fishing and kayaking. For those looking to stay overnight, the park provides camping facilities, including tent and RV sites. With its pristine beaches, abundant wildlife, and breathtaking scenery, Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Florida's coast.

  • Jessica Washburn

We loved camping at Hanna Park. Our site was shaded and very quiet. Short walk or bike ride to the beach too! We walked the beach almost every night. My son had fun at the splash park and playground. This is not a fancy RV resort but that's how we like to camp anyway. The host campers were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our site and the facility was clean. We used the laundry and the washers and dryers were also clean. Our stay was cut short due to Hurricane Ian and the staff were all very helpful while we figured out what we were going to do. We will definitely go back.
Dog-friendliness
We have a pomeranian and everyone was very nice to him. We had no issues. He loved swimming in the ocean and walking around the park.

  • Jacquelyn Burton

I get excited about Hanna Park. I will not have no complaints at this time. Being a single mother and having children. Was very easy and thanks to Hannah Park. My children could run play swim eat an amazingly camp out. My children are very excited each time we go to Hanna Park I have no regrets. I can't wait to visit again. The service was amazing. And any problems that I had was resolved immediately I recommend all family members friends and even you to visit Hannah Park thank you.
Playground
The playground allows the children to get rid of all of that amazing energy that they have. After playing in the playground the children fall fast asleep. And that means mom is a happy mom thank you Hannah Park.

  • Nitesh Vic Patel - REALTOR

Everything was great. From checking in, to getting onto our site. There is plenty to do here. Not just camp. There are playgrounds for the kids. Kayaks. Bicycle trails. Shade everywhere so even in the summer time should be fine. I will say the road noise (which I wasn't expecting) from the main road nearby was quite loud till 2 am. I think it was mayport Rd. The amount of bugs were non existent at the end of March 2022. Beaches were beautiful minus the pot smokers while their kids were running around. Other than that. It was a lot of fun for me and my son. It was his first camping experience. He loved it. Unfortunately he thinks all camping has beaches. I'll have to correct that with him. Lol.

  • V. “Miss Ve” C.

I spent the day with family and friends at the park, and WE HAD A BLAST!OUR FATHER'S DAY EVENT went off with no issues, and we celebrated ALL of our fathers, barbecued, and took all the little ones to the kiddie park, the they all went to the BEACH! If you're the kind of people who love outdoors and cooking and hanging out on the lake or being on the beach, then Hannah Park is for YOU ! If you want a Pavillion, you have to reserve it in advance, like the year before so you can have it for the summer coming up next year! Example: party for summer 2024... RESERVE IT NOW! This is a photo of my son and two of my nephews on the beach at Hannah Park ❣️

  • ottie nation

This place is great for family or multiple nights. It is owned by the state. It is $5 for the car to go in and different prices to rent a cabin or stay in rv or tent. They have multiple things to do. Bike trails. Hiking, kayaking, splash pad, big playground, cooking areas. Multiple beach accesses places to have wedding receptions or parties they are. One hit multiplace. All-in-one place.. You can find sand dollars, sharp teeth. Beautiful sdell's seaglass, and all kinds of animals.
Playground
With splash pad and zip-line
Dog-friendliness
Leash needed but have seen them off playing in ocean
Picnic area
Lots and lots of tables. bbq pit. And lots of grills.

  • Russ Bracco

This is a beautiful park with a tropical setting within walking distance to the beach! A fresh water lake stocked with fish and of course there are alligators around! That being said.....the camping sites are VERY tight!! We barely were able to fit our 35' class A on the site they gave us, our slides were into the overgrown vegetation, couldn't open the awning and to top it off our fire pit was on the drivers side of the rig!!! All of the sites were like this! Very narrow roads to navigate through the park and forget about getting there in the dark because you will have a nightmare trying to get in. The park is very dated as are the bathroom and showers. CAMPERS BEWARE!!

  • Natasha B

Beautiful fishing lake, the splash pad is cool too. So many picnic tables and charcoal grills were available; it was busy and there were still plenty of places to sit and spread out. The bathroom by the lake and splash pad was a close walk and wheelchair accessible.
Playground
Mostly in the sun with many shaded areas surrounding it.
Dog-friendliness
This is a god friendly park but they must be on leash at all times, even on the beach. However, I didn't see a single poop station so bring plenty of your own bags for your dog's waste. I didn't see any potable water sources/drinking stations for dogs either, so you will need to bring plenty of water too.

  • Jacqueline Mays

We always have a fun time here seen dolphins at the Dolphin Plaza which was a nice surprise they were fairly close to shore. Really nice splash pad as well. Don’t forget your sunscreen it is a must for only about 2 hours of us actually being in the sun we are severely burned.
Playground
They do have a playground and splash pad area
Restrooms
They do have restrooms they are not the cleanest, but decent for a public restroom.
Dog-friendliness
They allow dogs just clean their mess!
Picnic area
Free picnic/Grill areas close to the splash pad, the other areas closer to the beach entrances are paid reserved areas.

I’ve been to 28 parks this year throughout the United States, Hannah Park is still my favorite. You have beaches and lakes. Everything from biking, to kayaking, to hiking. There’s a lot of privacy, and space. So that you’re not on top of other people! They also do not judge me for being homeless , I’m a full-time stealth camper. It’s five dollars to get in the gate and they have showers if I need them. I normally use planet fitness but I do like the privacy of their showers. Even the officers that work in the park are nice and do not harass you.
Dog-friendliness
Please keep your dog on a leash!

  • steve hicks

This park is fantastic if you don't mind kids running around, laughing and playing. These are not private spots, you're about 10-15 feet away from your neighbors but every seems to mind the campers rules. Everything is tree-covered and walking distance. The Atlantic Ocean beach is a 10 minute walk accross the read and down a wood plank, tree covered path. It has small store that has basic necessities like RV TP, salt pepper and the like. There is a nice lake to fish at although I haven't trued it yet, it is stocked with Bass. Laundry area with 4 washers and 4 dryers $3 a pop. 30.00 a night for RV.

  • Don Wynn

This park is a treasure. We found it by accident. It has decent picnic areas and trails. It has beach access as well as river access. Being Florida, there could be gators in the water on the river-side of the park so you should be careful, especially as you walk your pets. Don't let them get near the water's edge. It is pet friendly and requires that dogs be kept on a leash. There is a campground and some cabins. We did not see the campgrounds or cabins but some friends stayed there and they liked it. If you leave the park, you have to pay again to re-enter, even on the same day.

  • Stephanie Goodman

Outstanding!!! The only time we left was to get food from Walmart which was 19 mins away. The beach and lake is within walking distance. We didn’t get the opportunity to go into the Lee Hall Nature Center or walk the trails, you can rent bikes and they have a Camp Store with just about everything you need…. ice, ice cream, milk, gifts, fire wood, etc…… The scenery was Beautiful and Peaceful. If your ever in Florida or need a spot to get away from your busy life……this is the spot. They have pull-thurs and back in sites, fire pits and picnic tables. Staff was amazing also.

  • MissfitFL

I love this place it just puts you in nature and the rest....well the rest is heaven on earth. This place has something for everyone. Hiking, biking, canoeing, water play with the kiddos and cabin camping and tent camping too. You can also pull your RV right in for a good time at a reasonable price.
Playground
Nice big one in the back where camp sites are.
Restrooms
Plenty, out dated but functional and you will get a HOT shower.
Dog-friendliness
Oh yeah, bring Fiddo and Frisky they will love it
Picnic area
BBQ pits too

  • Alexandria Volk

Not too crowded at the time we went and the process of getting in ans out was fairly quick. Wont lie I wasnt aware of the fee at first coming in and not being from the area. Locals suggested this stop as a great place to get your toes wet and to enjoy the sand and sun without a huge crowd. The beaches are maintained with life guards on duty. Me and my family found shells and had a blast enjoing what we dont normally have the opportunity to see near our own home. It was a refreshing first time at the ocean experience for my little ones.

  • Janet Crane

We have camped at this park twice . It is a great location for accessing the beach and the city of Jacksonville. The bathrooms are ok , but could use some updating. The laundry facilities are also good, but could use a decent folding table , not just picnic tables. A word of caution, if you are camping in a large RV or 5th wheel, be sure and verify the length the site you are booking will accommodate your unit. Some of the sites have narrow openings between trees and are very challenging to back into. The campground is great for kids !

  • Jess Fix

We only visited the splash pad/playground area but it was a blast! It was $2.50 for military to get in and my little had so much fun being able to play on the splash pad with the other kids then turn around and run around the park. It had a lot of picnic tables to sit at and plenty of shade.
Playground
It had tandem swings for small children and parents, regular swings, slides and a mini zip line for the kids
Picnic area
Lots of picnic tables with lots of tree coverage!

  • Laura Stewart-Johnson

We camped here for 2 nights while visiting the area. Campground was less than desirable for us. Bathhouse and restrooms were way below par for function and cleanliness. Camp sites are small and awkward to get to. The beach was spectacular. We walked it early in the AM walking south from the far parking area (11, I think) I'm sure if you're from the area this would be a great getaway for beach purposes. I just wouldn't camp here again.
Dog-friendliness
My dogs loved the beach!

  • Priscilla Van Blarcom

The park has a lot to offer. The campground is very large with full hookups, but site 31-avoid it unless you have a smaller class C or B, where you can pull in forward or are using a tent. The hookups are on the wrong side and it's just a weird site. The campground facilities are older, so bring Teflon tape for your hose hookups! And the roads are pretty narrow and not one way, so that's different. But overall, once I got past my two issues, the stay has been great!

  • Bethany Walker

Pretty park with spacious sites. Mostly clean okay-ish bathrooms. The beach access and trails are great. Host campers are not the friendliest. Has a general store, but it is closed on Mondays.
Playground
Cute playground with a tire swing and old-fashioned see-saws.
Restrooms
Just okay. Mediocre showers. ADA shower has no bench, and the other shower has no head.
Dog-friendliness
Seems dog friendly, but I did not see any clean-up stations.

  • Cindy Riley

I camped here 30 years ago when my children were little ones. Had great memories of our times here so wanted to return for a visit. The campground is beautiful as I remember it. The bathhouses are pretty nasty. Not sure why they can't at least keep them clean. We camped for a week in several South Carolina State parks and they were much nicer than this. It's sad because the campground is on a beautiful piece of property.
Restrooms
Disgusting. Dirty.

  • Pat Norwood

Beautiful park and campground right on the Atlantic Ocean! Full RV hookups plus restrooms with showers. Very reasonable pricing and friendly staff.
Playground
Safe * Clean * Modern * Fun !
Dog-friendliness
Dogs are allowed on the beach! YAY! Lots of doggie poop bags on posts along trails. No excuse not to pick up after your furry friends. Must be leashed.
Picnic area
Each campsite has a fire pit and picnic table.

  • Summer H.

We LOVED this park! The sites were beautiful and private. There was plenty of trees/bushes in between sites to give you a somewhat secluded feel. And we were also very grateful for the overhead shade provided by the trees. The bathrooms left a little to be desired. But they served their purpose. Access to the beach and lake were so close and convenient. And the many different available activities will definitely have us coming back!

  • Carolina Trace

Terrible place to bring your class A rv. Sites are so out of level. Can't put slides out. Hit tree trying to get somewhat level. A tree that obviously need to be removed. Others have hit it as well. No refunds. Also watch for overhead limbs and such. This place needs some serious attention. Spots are soo tight. I see others that can't put their slides out as well. Good way to ruin a vacation. Probably great if you have a tent.

  • Wilma Oliveros

Tired of traffic and the city? Jacksonville folks, here is a great place to escape for the weekend. A nature park with the beach and lake! I spent a wonderful time with my family friend in the lake and we enjoyed our time looking at the wildlife and fauna. The kids enjoyed the playground while we sat at picnic tables and eat our lunches. Ideal place for campers, hikers and sunbathers! . Everything in one place. Cool!

  • Karen Atkinson

We tent camp here twice a year and always enjoy it. We normally get an RV spot because they are more spacious than the tent only ones. The bathrooms could be better, but I've been to others that were worse. Be sure to keep food in secure bins or the car because the racoons are not afraid to walk up and take it.
Playground
Brand new playground and picnic area going up in the back of the grounds.

  • Toni Hashem

First time here and absolutely love the camping sites! We did have difficulty backing our 38' travel trailer into site 167 and got stuck in the soft sand (luckily we have 4-wheel drive), but once settled, its a beautiful spot with bbq/fire ring. It did rain off and on the whole weekend, but it didn't stop us from exploring the trails and beach. Would highly recommend this park and will come back!

  • Leann Harms

Great place for camping and spending time outdoors. There is no shortage of things to do. The campground was very family friendly and the spots may be a bit small but they felt isolated with the vegatation between each. The beach is walking distance but I suggest bikes to save time. The splash pad and playground side-by-side were a huge draw for my kids. We will definitely be back at some point.

  • Ruth

A unique location. Campground is a natural, wooded setting with lots of shade and a beautiful lake. The beach is just across a road within the park, walking distance or a very short drive from the campsites. If you have a tow vehicle it's easy to unhook and hook in the beach parking area. We visited mid September and enjoyed a beautiful and uncrowded beach. Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach.

  • Robert Abbott

This is a City of Jacksonville Park. It's very well ran. The staff are awesome. The park is beautiful. The Beach is the best in Jacksonville. Awesome dunes. There is a campground and camp store. Lots of trails for hiking or bikes. A fresh water lake for fishing or wildlife viewing. The admission is $5 per car. The whole park, including the beach is dog friendly as long as they are leashed.

  • Candee Zarah

This park is great for everyone! Easy access to splash park and playground (you drive up and park). The view is Beautiful! And if you're a nature lover and you're not afraid of what's lying on the beaten paths to hike you'll have a great time exploring. Great for a picnic and an adventure day with small kids. Make sure you keep your eye on your little ones though because it's not gated

Beautiful area, we stayed at the campground, in a tent site, very quiet and peaceful. My only issue was the bathhouse could have used some attention maybe some updates or at least some TLC. The bike rental prices are crazy expensive in my opinion especially if you have a larger group. The lake is beautiful..it is awesome to have both the lake and the ocean. Overall we would stay again

  • Fiona Vaughan

A lovely camp ground for RVS of all sizes, lots of areas for walking dogs and bike trails for the more adventurous. Play equipment for children. A comprehensive general store where you could hire kayaks. It was very scenic, and there was easy access to the beach. Everyone was respectful of the park rules. Full hookup, BBQ grills with each site. We're booked again for next year.

  • Shellie Anne

This park is beautiful! It has miles of trails, camping, a lake and Atlantic coastline. It will easily become a happy place for me to escape. I collected many whole shells on the beach and soaked up the sun. The sand was soft and white. I was told to watch for gators, as late Spring is apparently mating season and they can be more aggressive, but I didn’t see any on this trip.

  • Alessandro Uviéu

I LOVE THIS PARK, I'm here several times a week.. gorgeous sunrises from the beach side and sunsets from the lake side. Frindly reminder to Please throw away your trash in the trash bins. Sadly on after the weekend crowd the parks have litter all over. Please remember to pick up after yourself. A light wind will carry plastic bags etc into the water ponds.

  • Jane Brigham

Wonderful RV park on the beach, or just a short walk to the beach. Very shady, sites are narrow but long and flat. Plenty of room for the slides. We booked site 18 but in a downpour was completely flooded, the park was great in allowing us to move to 271, which stayed drained with the rains.
Dog-friendliness
The beach is wonderful and dog friendly

  • Debbie Geady

This is a wonderful city park. There is a freshwater lake where you can rent kayaks or canoes. There are numerous biking and hiking trails here. You can camp here or just stroll along the beach.
Playground
There is a playground at the lake, even a small zip line for the kids to use.
Picnic area
Picnic areas can be found throughout the park.

  • Lisa Cogburn

Beautiful park. There's trails all through the park that you can walk or bike through. There is a park and splash pad for kids. Plenty of shade. You can hang out at the lake or the ocean. The restrooms were clean.
Playground
There is a slpash pad by the lake.
Restrooms
Restrooms were clean.
Picnic area
Picnic area was well shaded.

  • Deborah Hoover

Great county park - on the Atlantic Ocean. Getting to our spot (36 ft MH towing) was challenging but doable. Sites are very wooded, thus fairly spacious and private. The best part is the bike riding in the park and wonderful access to the ocean beaches. Great value of $32 per night for our FHU back-in site. Excellent customer service as well.

  • Darby Startley

It’s beautiful here! So much to do too!
Playground
There a bunch of playground around the park.
Restrooms
I didn’t really use the restroom but they look slightly beat down like a typical camp bathroom.
Dog-friendliness
Dogs everywhere at this park, super dog friendly!
Picnic area
Places to picnic around every bend.

  • David Hardesty

Nice mountain bike trails. Trails are directional, the direction and days are post on trail signs. They can be ridden North on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In the Southerly direction on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Not sure about Sunday. Please check the signage to be sure. It is a good time as well as a workout. Have fun!

  • David Gagne

Had a great visit to the park with the family and really enjoyed the many different picnic areas alot of them were private located at different locations throughout the park and also many different beach access points throughout the park we will definitely be back and let everyone know that they should come visit as well!

  • Al Bundy

How much time do you have to read this? One of the most amazing parks on the east coast. Beautiful beach, hiking, biking trails, a water park, zip line, alligators, fishing....picnic areas, bbq, you can camp right on the BEACH,you can even make a camp fire on it too! Did i mention birds? Birds for days.

  • Margie Lee

Love this park. Dogs welcomed and one of the few places you can take them with you to the beach. Camp host do an excellent job maintaining a clean restroom Close to home but feels like we are so far away from all the bustle. Great place for family events. Bring your bikes or you’ll be sorry you didn’t

  • Joan Flaherty

This park is wonderful. The beaches are wide open with lifeguards, ample parking, showers, restrooms, and covered picnic areas with grills. The playground / splash pad are large and accommodate all ages. The area is surrounded by shady picnic areas. Kayak and canoes are also available for rent here.

  • Karen Barnes

Amazing campground! Drive thru RV sites, General store, clean restrooms and showers within very short distance. The beach is beautiful, spot 10 is more crowded. 5 is a longer haul to the beach but much less crowded. Excellent for families with trails, playground, lake for fishing....a must do place!

  • J Eldred

This gem located within Duval County has just about everything you'd want in a park. Miles of trails for biking, running or walking. Lake to fish in and the park is on one of the nicest beaches in NE Florida. Full hookup camping sites with lots of privacy in the coastal hammock woods. Check it out!

  • TrailRdrs Outdoor “Aftermarket Electric”

We had a short stay here in late December. Being that it's the off season for most beach goers, there was plenty of parking and beach access. Little things like debris in the road seem overlooked by maintenance, but otherwise the park is clean. We were traveling and overall were pleased.

  • Derek Ellington

What a wonderful place! This is one of the nicest RV parks we have stayed at. First rate all the way! Beautiful tall old trees create a cooling canopy over all the sites. Great beach access, rental bikes, a good camp store, and lots of wildlife. If you can get a spot here, jump on it!

  • Katherine Hagel

Great camping sites with hookups for dumping sewage at each one. Spacious, not too close to next camper, which is so appreciated. Lots of amenities like safe, kid-friendly playgrounds, laundry, a little nature center, etc. A bit of a hike to the ocean and watch out for the alligators!

  • Jessica V.

You could spend a whole day here...so much to see and do! Of course there's the beach, many different pathways to travel, wildlife, places to explore, multiple playgrounds and a splash area. Definitely felt like explorers for the day, with some great views. Fun for the whole family!

  • Sarah Vick

Absolutely everything I expected!!! My son loved the beach and the splash pad! He enjoyed the playground! There was ALOT OF PEOPLE!!!! but we enjoyed
Playground
The playground is so much fun!!! Zip line for kids. A little tree house that has slides. Swings and tandem swings.

  • Susan Michele Campbell

The beach entrance was nice, but the area around the sprinkle pad was filthy. The smell of sewage from the bathrooms was overpowering and there was no "crowd control" or someone preventing too many people from entering. A brawl erupted between families and it was total chaos.

  • John T

My favorite place to camp...beach, lake, trails. Love it!
Playground
Great playground...just installed a new one!
Restrooms
Newly renovated...need more stalls@
Dog-friendliness
Lost of dogs, leash law enforced
Picnic area
So many to chose from.

  • Andrea Hooper

One of my family’s fave places to camp! Amazing mountain biking trails, lots of natural landscape & beautiful trees, and a short jog to the dog-friendly beaches! What more could you ask for? Oh, sewer hook-ups, small campground store, nice secluded lots, playground, etc.

  • Robert Gariano

Nice little piece of seaside jungle right next to Jacksonville. They were putting a new roof on the campsite store so it was really noisy until about 6:30 pm but the place is still well worth a visit and a couple of nights' stay.
Restrooms
Clean with showers.

  • Traci Fowle

Hanna Park is always a great choice for a beach day! They offer many other activities such as bike trails, playgrounds, and a splash pad...but our family tends to stick to the beaches. Convenient parking and beautiful views from the walk down the access boardwalk.

  • Zerbe Adventures

Took my kids there for the first time to go hiking. We all enjoyed our hike around the lake. The trail for the hikers was well maintained and easy to follow. Finished up with walking out one of the boardwalks to the beach. We'll definitely hit this place up again.

  • Andrea Mattern

This campground with tons of beach access is amazing. Would have never guessed. Lots to do ... beach on one side, lake on the other and playgrounds, Waterpark and trails galore! Very safe with multiple gates. We even made another reservation while staying here.

  • harry tor

Great place for camping. The stuff was friendly and a lot of space between the sites. Security is good and the camp store has everything you need. The beach is just a short walk and has a life guard on dutiy.
Dog-friendliness
duty. Can be on the beach.

  • ekohirol

Great hiking trails, campground is closely located to the beach, bring your bikes. Seems like there are a lot of rules but not enforced so much. Clean restrooms and showers. City needs to do some preventative maintenance on electrical hookups at sites.

  • Christopher Daniel

It's a beautiful park with lots of activities to do for everyone. I have been going here for years for surfing and for disc golf. Great place to take the family. There are a few bugs this time of year, but prepare, remember, this is Florida.

  • Elizabeth Allen Boyd

Wonderful park! Drive down the main road under a lovely canopy of trees. There are several parking areas w/beach access all along one side and a gorgeous lake on the other side. $5 entry fee per car that you must pay whenever you enter (No

  • Tara B

Loved visiting and cannot wait to come back when it warms up!!!! The park is beautiful. So many things to see and do for just $5.00 car entry fee. I WOULD LOVE to see new swing seats because the metal is showing through and seems dangerous.

  • JaLene Gathman

Staying in the camp ground. Park is beautiful, little store is great, just enough stuff to get you through, the grounds are well taken care of, staff is very friendly, and our spot is quiet and cozy! Can't wait to go fishing in the lake!!

  • Trish Ferguson

Not as beautiful as some of the beaches but still amazing. We saw tortoises while visiting, the roads to the camp grounds were very bumpy. The bathrooms are clean the view is beautiful from the beach access. Will definitely visit again

  • Derek

We spent 2 weeks at this park and loved it! Lots of trees and we'll shaded and just a short walk to the beach. You can ride your bike on the beach and get to Neptune beach etc (recommend crossing over to the road if you don't have fat

Fantastic experience, like camping in a..tropical paradise. You can bring an RV and glamp, or rough camp in a tent. Laundry and camp store with bike rentals, lots of hiking trails and the beach.

  • Sarah Rose Stewart

I will always renew my membership with this park as long as I live in Northeast Florida! I love that it also gets me in Huguenot Park! They happen to have 2 of best two surfing spots in town!

  • Betsy Pence

Spots were small, not really a lot to do. Perfect for cycling and hiking. Too expensive for the bike rentals 30 dollars a day for one bike is way too much. The shower houses were gross …
