While I’ve had keys made here before work fine, the scanning process where it determines the key does not work well. Keys that need to be made at their main facility say the key can be made on the kiosk screen but I frequently get a follow up email that the machine was incorrect and they don’t have that key. With how frequent this occurs, it would be helpful if KeyMe published a list of available keyway types they can cut (for those of us that can understand it). The site publishes information about their locksmith services, but very little about the kiosks.

Sorry for the late response I just haven't been around the building to test the key but it's was the first time I find a machine that could actually make the exact same key so I don't have to run and go to the locksmith to make a key especially when I work at night I can never make it there on time so I am so glad I found a machine that can do it for me

Was very easy to use in-store. loved that i didn't have to take the keys off the key ring - best part about it. I had house keys made & mail key. The mail key had to be delivered to me but it came very quickly and without issue so i'd highly recommend.

Customer service was great! Minus 1 star for machinery: accuracy of key depends on how well and firmly key to be copied held in place. Not ideal for individuals with hands that tremble. And it is timely to do yourself.

It was a little confusing because as my keys were being made advertisements on the screen kept encouraging me to accept offers that I didn’t want to accept, and I wasn’t sure if it was part of my order or not.

While ultimately the keys were made and they were perfect. To get to that point took at least 5-6 tries. So fortunately it was early and no other people were waiting, as the other machine was out of order.

Half the keys it cut work, the other half didn’t. They gave me a coupon code to get the keys recut. Recut keys still don’t work great. 2 trips and 5 keys later I would probably not use the machine again.

Have had both keys and a fob copied at the KeyMe kiosk at Menards. Works well, prices are reasonable. Note that the fingerprint sensor (to save the key patterns) did not work.

I needed a last minute copy of my friend’s key when visiting Chicago last week. Used the key machine inside the Menards. It was quick easy and really saved me in a pinch!!

It was easy to follow the instructions and ALL the keys worked perfectly! In the past, we’ve had to return two or three times before keys worked correctly.

On two occasions, my copied keys didnt work. I wss refunded without a hassle . Thank you . I had many other keys copied and they worked perfectly.

At Menard’s on Clybourn, making keys very easy and I highly recommend the $1.99 upgrade! All my keys work perfectly. This is not always the case.

Hello I needed to get a couple of keys made went to Menards n they had the key machine n I made 2 key's with no problem n they work perfect.

Copied 3 KW1 keys with the upgraded grinding for smoother operation. However, keys do not work and I needed them asap for a new tennant.

It was quick and easy to get copies made and no lone to stand in as well. Copies work just as well as the keys they were made from.

I was surprised because the cuts on the keys looked pretty crude, I was half expecting them not to work. But they worked just fine.

All three copies of the specialty key arrived in the mail promptly and worked great! What else can you want from a key making box.

Keys worked. Took a few minutes to cut each of them but the competitor store's machine was broken so go here. Will use again.

I dont think I should have to pay extra to get a smooth key. That ought to be included as a fundamental part of the job!

This was cheaper than the key machine in my Jewel. This one was in Menards. It was easy to use and the keys were great.
