"My name is Aaron and I have been doing business with Kimbrell's since they have been in Charlotte I have purchased nearly $50,000 worth of furniture and paid it off all of it except for this new batch that I got now and I got 3 weeks behind 4 days before I get paid and they have called my phone numerous times getting rude then they turn around and send somebody to my home and tell me that the manager is threatening to come over and wants to come in my house I don't know what none of this is about but I will not be doing business with them or suggest anybody that I know and I will pass the word not to do business with them since they seem to think that it's okay to do that to loyal customers I don't know if it's because they're all Hispanic now or what but it doesn't feel good and it didn't start out with my relationship with them like this before they went completely Hispanic and I will not do business with them no more after I pay off this remaining three or four thousand dollars that I owe them never again worst experience in my life somebody coming to my door and threatened to take me to court for something they know I'm going to pay off because my financial history says so it's the paper the numbers on the paper"
It's Saturday November 29th 2014. I live in Raleigh Nc and I ordered my furniture from the south blvd store Because I PROMISED and GUARANTEED that I would have my furniture in the store for me to drive 200 miles to pick up which I was willing to pick up bc I needed it before Thanksgiving. Will a list of things went wrong .. 1) The sales agent told me he was one of the floor managers and told me it had to be special ordered but he knows and guarantee that it will be in before thanksgiving. 2) He told me we would stay in between a certain price number and he charged my card for more. 3) He told me he wouldn't charge my card w/o giving the final number.. He didn't and charged it anyway. 4) He dodged my phone calls when I called to ask about the charges and the furniture. When I called him from another number he answer the phone. 5) I called 2 days before thanksgiving and he said it may not be till December 5th which is not what we talked about or what I agreed to and besides I told him don't take my money if it's not gonna be here and I'll just order it here in the Raleigh store. He said give me 48 hours and I'll let you know. 6) Wed the day before Thanksgiving I called the sales rep who has been letting me down and he doesn't answer the phone. I call the store and they tell me he was not in that day. So i asked for a manager. 7) after i gave the credit manager (a female) the rundown she said it would be on the truck Fri yesterday. LIES LIES 8) I called back talk to Martin another "manager" and he said Fri or Monday Dec 1st after I told him I wanted all my money back bc I paid for it in full in the beginning. He told me the store manager was not there and he told me i probably can get it delivered to the raleigh store and I pick it up from there. I told him that is not acceptable and it now needs to be delivered to my house. 9) I had to call the store yesterday morning bc no one called me. I asked for the store manager and I got Les Floyd so far he seemed to understand my frustration and told me he will get with the raleigh store and arrange to have it delivered to my house but I won't get it till after December 8th. He apologized and said Andy the sales rep who started this whole ordeal should have never made me that promise. Les Floyd said he will call me this coming Monday with a update SO we will see if he calls me back. HONESTY IS KEY. DON'T LIE TO CUSTOMERS. The rep in at the Raleigh store on New Bern told me he couldn't make me that promise. I should have ordered it there and gave Rodney the sale. Lesson learned. And I still have no furniture! Sn. I wouldn't have thrown Andy under the bus if he had been honest, returned my calls, and called to apologize for his mess up but he didn't and hasn't and it's probably best at this point. THIS HAS BEEN MY WORST FURNITURE BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!” Less
In March, 2022, the recliner was inoperable because the cord to the remote hand controller was severed but not completely. Milton, salesperson at Kimbrell’s Furniture Store (South Boulevard), told me I purchased the Catnapper Power Lift Recliner in November, 2020; and the one-year warranty had expired. He stated he would contact Catnapper to see if he can get the part. When I didn’t hear back from him, I went by the store again. He was able to help me get another remote as he stated that he still had not heard back from Catnapper. I thanked him and the manager as they made it clear that they were under no obligation to help as the warranty had expired. Because the recliner remained in the “lift” position, I went to the store on 5/13/22. Per my request, he texted me the name of a number of recliner furniture repair services to call. Of the ones that called back, they did not service recliners at all or did not service Catnapper furniture. The recliner is less than two years old and because of major medical issues, my brother still needs it. So, I reached out to Milton again; and although no phone number was listed, I completed the contact form on Jackson Furniture webpage. On 5/17, the email response from Amanda, Consumer Relations Specialist offered an apology; told me to contact the dealer; and stated that “if not under warranty, she will be happy to assist me as best she can”. I forwarded proof of purchase indicating that the warranty had expired and informed her of the action taken thus far involving the dealer. When I did not hear from her, I forwarded my 5/17 response again on 5/20. Per Amanda’s question (5/20), I informed her (5/24), that when the remote buttons are pressed, there was no noise from the motor area. To date, I have not heard back from Amanda. Seemingly, neither business (Kimbrell’s or Jackson Furniture Company) even offers a product repair service. As such, let the buyer beware! Respectfully Submitted.
I will NOT be buying furniture from this store ever again and I use to like this store. The customer service is horrible and they don't honor the warranty of the products that they sell. I bought a livingroom set from them a few months ago and I also bought the extended warranty. I bought the warranty because the sales person said that it covered the furniture if any thing happens to it they either fix it or replace it. Well the loveseat fabric started beading up and then it started shredding. I never seen furniture do that before. Then the couch started sinking on one side so when i investigated it, i found that the staples that hold two of the frame boards together had came lose. When I called the guy named Milton that sold me the furniture he asked for pictures, so I took a trip to the store and showed him pictures. He sent out some people to look at the furniture.They came, they left, nothing was fixed. Another guy on another day came, left, nothing was fixed. Milton then called me and said to call a the extended warranty number and have them fix or replace it, so I did. They said that Kimbrell's is responsible for the furniture the first year. I called Milton back and relayed the message. Milton then said "we (Kinbrell's) are not responsible for nothing. Accidental damage is not covered by Kinbrell's." He then said that he would talk to his manager and call me back. So he blamed me for their raggedy furniture falling apart and shredding.To this day Milton has not called me back and my furniture is still not fixed. The managers won't talk to you because every time I called and asked to speak to a manager , the manager would get on the phone and say to hold on and then connect me with Milton since he sold me the furniture. I give this store a 1 star.
If I could give less than one star I would. This is my second account with them. My first account I paid them over 3500 dollars. Now it's a small recliner and a rug. I was late on my payment. Yes that's my fault. When I went to pay the payment I thought everything was fine. I got a call on the second of the month with them telling me I had a balance of 5.18 cent .This was for a late fee that they forgot to add. They waited till the second of the following month to tell me this. Everyone knows what happens to your credit score when u r 30 days late. I asked why didn't you charge the late fee? They said we just forgot. I asked to talk to the manager. He's not there but they tell me he will call me in the morning. That didn't happen . I called two more times and he wasn't there the first time and he's busy the last time I called. I ended up calling the corporate number and the district manager was supposed to call me.. He didn't. He didn't after I called two more times over almost two weeks. I was assured that it will not affect my credit at this point. Management is totally lazy and have no respect for their customers. Never again will I buy anything from them. If you worry about your credit do not buy from them. For the managers that run from a customer problem ,we the customers pay your pay checks... Also if you are never in the office maybe u should quit and give a job to someone that wants to work.....

I was told my furniture would be in my possession within 7 to ten business days, I have gotten the bed and chest, but the nightstands, dresser and mirror are somewhere in Vietnam they told me O_o (Yes, Vietnam) ... It will be going on 2 months, as this happened in March, and I am still getting the run around. When I complained to the store manager Lex on S.Blvd he apologized and asked me (blowing my concerns off) if I liked the furniture that they WERE able to deliver (adding insult to injury), I also called over to their corporate store which happens to be on S.Blvd as well, and was told that the Mgr wasn't in but that they would forward my complaint. I still haven't heard anything!!!! I've made at least 5 phone calls and my husband has done the same and they will tell you the manager isn't in, it doesn't matter what time of day you call. The will also tell you ANYTHING to make a sale. I should have paid attention to the reviews on here. Will be contacting the Better Business Bureau today as they gave me this date as the latest that the furniture would be in...
I have dealt with Demont in the past, and he always been very helpful and understanding of my finances and where I live. Demont has never tried to push me into anything I did not want or need. A another thing that I like about Kimbrell's is that they are very low key and will do what they can to help you purchase what you came for. I chose to buy table and chairs because of Demont. I had such a good experience with him last time that when I finally decided to get my table and chairs I texted Demont to let him know that I was in the market for a dining room set and what his schedule is at the store. AVOID THIS PLACE.. Got a package from this showroom few years ago, which gave me $215 in store credit.. But went today to buy some stuff.. They told me that I have to get my bill atleast $500 to use it.. So I selected some stuffs but then they were like.. You have to buy something which is not in sale... So now my money has been stuck there... I would suggest not to buy packages which say that pay some $ to get 3 years warranty and tech will come to repair or replace.. And if u don't take advantage of it you will get your money as instore credit... Because I lost my money and you may also.. Face the same condition...
My dad and I went to go pick up our furniture that we had to put together ourselves. First, when we call them to tell them we've arrived we were put on hold and didn't give us any updates if they were sending anyone in the back to give to us. Then, we get home put together my sister's bed, she has extra pieces that doesn't fit with her twin bed. Finally, we get to my bed, there's an ENTIRE piece missing!!! I'm fuming because I have to sleep close to the ground now. Edit: My dad was able to resolve the issue and we got everything squared away with the parts.

Initially, I was going to meet Demont. However, Demont was gone for the day when I got off work so Milton helped me. Milton had worked all day long through inclement weather but you'd never know it! He was pleasant, friendly and made my experience easy! I work in a call center so it was a struggle to get to Kimbrell's before closing. I made it and I can say I got something accomplished! Thanks to Demont & Milton, I have a brand new Queen Mattress & Boxspring! Yea!!!! Now I can sleep well and feel like getting up going to work! :)
I went to the Ashley outlet store first and had the worst experience ever. They were horrible! I immediately left and went to Kimbrell’s. I was so impressed with the warm welcome, customer service and attention to detail from everyone. The quality of furniture was also outstanding in comparison to the cheap Ashley furniture. So glad I left and went to Kimbrell’s. Demont Seegars assisted me and couldn’t be happier with his service. You all earned my business and will be back for any furniture needs. Thanks again!
The salesman and financing person were very nice BUT watch out for unnecessary charges. There was a 3 year warranty and insurance I didn't need and fortunately was able to catch and remove saving me over a $100. The other thing is my credit is good enough to get financing but they still contact your personal references (4). I've never had to list personal references much less have them contacted for financing unless they are a cosigner. I didn't like that at all.
I contacted Kimbrells early Friday morning , regarding some new bedding .When I tell you that, I had the most amazing experience in that store. My sales rep Mr. SEEGARS , and the young ladies in their accounting department whom set up your account etc.. Did a wonderful job . I so appreciate the manager, staff who processed the payment, and the delivery folks from Kimbrell’s. I felt like they were being honest with me about the products they carry and as a matter of fact expressed a favorable opinion about the product I chose rather than pushing me to a more expensive item. My experience was horrible. The staff there are very judgmental and have a lack of expertise in their job customer service. Don’t even bother checking the status of your order. They will leave you on hold for over 20mins and then hang the phone up. I would NEVER recommend this store to any one else. HORRIBLE
