Recently stumbled upon this newly opened bakery while wandering through the mall, and having noticed other locations around town, I decided to give it a shot. They had some enticing deals, including a tax-free offer of 6 buns for $12, so I snagged the opportunity to try a variety. I opted for 2 BBQ pork buns, 2 raisin twists, a garlic bread, and a ham & egg bun. The bakery has a few small tables and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your treats post-purchase. They even provide a microwave if you want to warm up your buns for an immediate snack. However, the disappointment came when I bit into the buns. All of them seemed to suffer from a common issue – a significant lack of filling. It felt like 80% bun and only 20% filling. The ham & egg bun was particularly disappointing; the egg was overdone, resulting in a rubbery texture, and there was a scarcity of ham. The garlic bread, while having some garlic butter on top, had a plain and dry interior. The raisin twist had a sparse scattering of raisins, mostly for visual appeal, and the BBQ pork bun, while tasty, left me wishing for more filling to complement the bun. On the other hand, the bakery's interior was organized and clean, providing a neat and inviting atmosphere.

I bought 2 drinks for $18 , I dropped them Walking out , now I know it’s not their fault for me dropping them ( which is what the person working told me ) but any other place would have compensated me ( it happens ) , I was told If I dropped them in store they would replace them , but because I reached the parking lot that I had to purchase two more drinks if I wanted them …. I didn’t even take one sip from them , the cheap cup shattered on impact … what boggles me is that you think I’m going to pay for two more drinks and support your business further ? I chose this place out of the other ones right next to it , clearly I made a mistake and should have brought my business elsewhere . I would have giving 0 stars because the customer service is horrible . No empathy or even feeling sympathetic … the cost of material used to make this drink would have been next to nothing and would have made me a happy customer …. I would always stop here for smoothies when I’m in the mall . But after this experience I will Never be returning and suggest that you also take your business where it’s appreciated!!!
This place was not very well stocked in the buns section (went at 3pm, closing time 6pm). The line up to pay was extremely long and only one staff cashing people out, another person making drinks and another person bagging buns. Clients were shouting over (necessary I suppose given the chaotic / loud environment) uncovered buns sitting on a multi-tray holder thing that was situated right by the register counter. Overall the place didn’t seem clean or sanitary. I didn’t buy any drinks but the counter/sink area where drinks were made looked extremely messy and dirty. They should hire more staff during busy times (I don’t know if that was their normal volume or super high when I went). I ended up buying two packages buns. Sausage and cheese tasted as expected. The beef curry one was disappointing- the stuffing was really salty and not much flavour, the top was over-baked almost burnt and hard.
While I don't live around the neighbourhood, I make it a must-visit when I'm in the area. They're one of my favourite bakeries in the west end for soft and delicate Chinese buns. The buns are always fresh as they're baked on site. The shop is located inside Dixie Value Mall. The owners are super friendly and nice. During COVID, they take your order and pack the buns for you from the back, so it's very clean and safe. If you go, definitely try their sugar buns, custard buns, egg custard tarts, pineapple buns, and coconut buns. They're some of the best. I just had a cottony-soft sugar bun fresh and hot out of their oven. Absolutely delicious.
Great experience every time!! I used to work at Dixie at some point and would usually get a little something from Kin-Kin. Now I still stop by this mall every once in a while and this bakery is still just as great! Freshly baked bread, pastries, etc every day; great variety of both salty and sweet goodies. The smoothies, bubble tea, and such are just as fresh and delicious. Also, NEED to mention how nice and attentive the staff is. They always have a smile on their faces, they seem to be glad to help, their service is fast too. The place is very clean, organized, and always full of their great baked goods!
What a great surprise in this mall, Kin-Kin bakery! I went to Dixie Outlet Mall early in the morning, and the smell of fresh-baked bread was filling the halls. I wasn't expecting it so early in the morning- I followed the smell until it lead me to this place- fresh-baked buns were being stocked at the front. I went ahead and bought one, the smell was too good to pass up- a hot dog bun, to be exact- and it did not disappoint! I wish I got the chance to try the bubble tea, and their many other offerings- but if you are in the mall, at least try one of their buns. You won't forget them.
We have tried this place several times when visiting the mall on the weekends and like it! The buns are always fresh, fluffy and not too sweet or overloaded which I personally like! The staff have been friendly and polite. The mall is old, some of the shelve covers where the buns are held are broken / cracked but it doesn't affect the quality of food and it looks clean!

I bought a mango slush here - It was watered down with more ice than mango - The mango wasn't ripe, so it wasn't sweet at all - there were lil white hairs all through my drink, so I suspect the person accidentally put the seed in the blender with everything

This place is super close to my work so I go here several times a week. They never disappoint! They have great buns, cheap and good bubble tea, and a nice Hong Kong style iced coffee. The staff are so sweet and are attentive to what you order. If you're at Dixie mall and need a snack - this is a great spot. :)
Tuna bun is wrapped with paper that doesnt come off the bun. Brought it back, the guy starts screaming at and telling me not to buy here anymore cause they have to give me back my 3.50$. These people are selling a bun that the only way to eat is with the wrapper cause it doesnt come off.
I Love this place they always have delicious, fresh buns. Also, desserts too. A great place for a nice, light treat or snack to hold you over. I will Always go back. Love this place. Staff is very friendly too
For $9 you get two bubble tea drinks. You have a choice of regular tapioca or another jelly. Tastes delicious! Can’t beat the price when compared to other bubble tea places in the big malls. Two for $9 worth it
Ordered a wide variety of chinese buns (bbq pork, curry beef, chicken) and the chicken pie (individual size). All were good and would recommend going to this place for these items.
Honestly, we bought the chicken pie and curry veggie potato pie and both were inedible. The Hong Kong milk tea is okay and so is the lotus moon cake but wouldn’t buy it again.
They offer the usual chinese buns like curry beef, chinese pork bun, etc. Their deal is buy 6 buns for $10(no tax). They also have bubble tea, 2 for $9 deal.
Always love coming to this bakery in Dixie Mall. Their bread is always fresh and I especially love their Pineapple Coconut and coconut buns …
Bun with coconut so delicious, I love it!
