"The boardwalk is still closed"
"Beautiful place to go walking, jogging, or bike riding"
"Nice open field for exercise, training, or play"
"Very cute park that's easily accessible from Charlotte or Concord"
"Lots of parking spaces available, an expanse of cut grass with soccer nets, benches, water fountain, and beautiful trails"
The boardwalk is still closed. Walking from the boardwalk if you are facing the boardwalk go to your right and there is the trail if you go straight the part of the trail that goes under Tryon is closed because of construction but they do have a detour where you can cross Tryon on the street level. If you turn left before getting to Tryon that trail will take you through UNC Campus all the way to University Blvd. with WT Harris to your right about 2 miles.
Beautiful place to go walking, jogging, or bike riding. There is also a large open field to play in right next to the parking lot, and a picnic table at the bringing of the trail. The wooden walkway was closed off for some reason, but the paved path was open. Lots of tree coverage on the path. I went on an overcast/drizzly day, so there were few people on the path. I did notice some litter - next time I might bring a bag with me and clean up while I walk.
Nice open field for exercise, training, or play. Convenient entrance to the Mallard Creek Greenway as well. The only drawback is there are two close underpasses near the entrance so if it rained a day or a few days before, a lot of mud accumulates because that area is prone to flooding ♂️. But overall its relatively nice. …
Very cute park that's easily accessible from Charlotte or Concord. There is access to one of the metro greenways here as well. There are nice walking paths as well as some sports fields. I wouldn't choose this park for intensive hiking, but as city parks go, it's lovely. I plan to visit regularly for walks with my baby.
Lots of parking spaces available, an expanse of cut grass with soccer nets, benches, water fountain, and beautiful trails. I loved it! I would absolutely go again. I recommend a lot of sunblock because there is very little shade. It is only in a few spots at the beginning of trails, then it's nothing but blazing sun.
Great starting area to run/bike/longboard the Greenway. There's a small wooden walkway/trail over the creek and swamp where you can see a good amount of wildlife if you're lucky. There's a water fountain and a single portapotty. The park itself is rather underwhelming, just a large field with a few soccer goals.
Nice running trails, away from traffic. Peaceful and nice scenery. Although it goes through a wood area, there are people who will pass you here and there so that you don't feel like you're in a scary movie alone.
Don't go alone. Very sketchy. Bridge in terrible need of repair and the water fountain doesn't work. No equipment. If you want to play soccer, lacrosse or field hockey, there are fields This is not a park
I went there a week ago with my friends!! Not an awesome place but pretty decent. It has a wooden bridge throughout the end and has a scary dead end!! Overall its a quiet and not crowdy !! Liked it!!
This park is wonderful. The bike trails are long and winding through a bunch of woods that takes your mind off of everything going on in the world. Very relaxing and recharging.
Great spot to park & walk the Greenway. No pups allowed on the field so idk how I like that but otherwise enjoy watching ppl play sports or practice drills More
There. Isn't muçh to do but the walk path is nice so if you are looking for a trail to walk/ride a bike/skateboard this place is cool
the boardwalk is now closed. the veterans day storm wrecked a good portion of it, however, it had been deteriorating recently.
Good pleasant place for recreational activities...soccer, frisbee, hiking, cycling, or just enjoying the greenery.
Just a low lying field. No frills but good for letting kids and dogs run amok. There's also a nice walking trail.
Real nice green way. Even after recent floods the county crew does a great job of cleaning up for the visitors.
I really enjoy the trail here is connected to 2 other trails...but it gets muddy with the multiple bridges.
Care is given to the fields for baseball, soccer and other sports. Good place to connect to the green way.
Two bridges close by prone to flooding but other than that good greenway and a field with some soccer nets
Nature trail is nice, open park for sports, start of a walk/run/bicycle trail that is very nice
Great for running but NO WATER FOUNTAINS and the one at kirk park is turned off in the winter.
Walking trail ... Nice shady in the woods. Negatives is are no rest rooms and drinking water.
Good choice of hiking trails. Trails include part of the UNC Charlotte campus. Very scenic.
My weekly 3 miles jog/walk routine starts here. Spend most of weekend on this long trail.
Good place to park for greenway access. Soccer fields available. Portajon there.
Great walking, hiking, biking trails and a ball field. Great for dogs on leash!
This place is currently closed for renovation until the end of August 2021
What a wonderful place to run and bike, but don't go alone.
