"This is the most terrible store I have ever been to in Canada throughout my whole life! I parked my vehicle in the customer parking lot because we had a plan to purchase liquor, we left the parking spot to deal with my personal stuff nearby really quickly (in 20 minutes)"
"This location is prime real estate for sure"

"Nice and huge store store with a great selection"
This is the most terrible store I have ever been to in Canada throughout my whole life! I parked my vehicle in the customer parking lot because we had a plan to purchase liquor, we left the parking spot to deal with my personal stuff nearby really quickly (in 20 minutes). When we got back and prepared to shop in the store, our car had already disappeared! From all the evidence I know that the tow service guy hired by this LCBO store watched us leave the parking place and towed our car right away just because he thought we won't be the customer for this store! After that we asked for an explanation from the LCBO store, as well as from that tow guy, all I was replied to endlessly is to ask for an explanation from the other side! None of these 2 sides gave me a reasonable explanation! Finally we paid $463 to have our car back from that terrible tow service guys backyard! This is an absolutely malicious treatment only because they want to charge me the tow fee, without any reasonable explanation from either side! We have been in Canada for more than 10 years and always strictly followed all the parking rules, we have never been treated terribly like this! LCBO is a prestigious company, how can it treat its customers like this and you are pushing every responsibility away which you should take responsibility for! I need a clear explanation and a reasonable solution from LCBO as you are the side that authorized that maliciously tow service company to tow my car unreasonable!!!
This location is prime real estate for sure. It has an amazing selection of different kinds of wine or spirits and so on. They do have cooler items so that you can drink cold once home. The staff at the store are very friendly and being someone who does not frequent downtown very often, to see a security guard right at the door or just inside does give you a sense of calm and organization. I've been here many many times. But it always is amazing to me that such a perfectly placed store draws in such eclectic group of people. It is nice as it shows the kind of makeup of people in our city. The staff are friendly and easily accessible for help. I have course would go back if I was down town but I don't normally go down that way. Good job to everyone.
My girlfriend and I visited this fantastic establishment on a Wednesday evening to find drinks for our friends' gathering. The space was huge, spanning two floors, and offered an incredible selection of products! The staff were numerous and always ready to help with a smile! They were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The aisles were clean, well-organized, and the products were nicely presented! Moreover, the presence of several security guards made us feel safe and well-supervised. ♂️ In summary, an outstanding shopping experience at this location! We will definitely return for our future gatherings! Kudos and thank you to the entire team!
This is Ottawa's biggest and best LCBO store with an incrediable selection of vintage wines and spirits especially downstairs. There you can find a 2007 bottle of French champagne that sells for $3,500. There are also more affordable vintage selections from around the world and Canada so take a peek around and see what they have. Additionally, there are wine tasting areas and even a private area for meals with wine tasting. If you get a chance do try it, it is a lot of fun and you may find food really does taste better with different types of wine and spirits. If you like my review, photos or videos raise your glass and give it a thumbs up.
Nice and huge store store with a great selection. It probably has one of the best or the best variety in ottawa. There’s even an underground floor for special wines and everything else is in the main floor. Employees were all happy to be there and it was nice inside. On the outside, however, the store is very different. There’s homeless people on the sidewalk and next to the entrance, some of them stinking like they have not showered and looking for money, drinks or drugs. The area outside feels very sketchy and dangerous. I hope they can turn this around
This place is absolutely off the charts awesome when it comes to variety and service. I only gave it 4 stars because of the situation outside. We were there at 4pm on a Friday, and the whole outside of the building was littered with the homeless. It was a very uncomfortable feeling walking up to it. If I was walking alone, I probably wouldn't have stopped at all. But, once you get inside the door, there is an armed guard watching who comes in. Unfortunately, this area of Ottawa seems to have quite a bad homeless situation.
Wow. First time in this location. Amazing space. Largest selection of wines and spirits in Ottawa/Gatineau area. Service is fantastic. Parking is tight, however, there is a Metro lot you could sneak into! Excellent variety of craft beers, and during special holidays, there are plenty of gift sets to choose from. Customer care is fantastic. This is quite a busy location, so don't come here if you are in a hurry; the lineups can be quite long. Super impressed, all around. #localguide
Didnt have a speciality wine I wanted. Asked about the private ordering system and the general manager repeatedly told me it doesnt exist. "If we dont have it in stock, you cannot buy it in Ontario" which is obviously incorrect. if it was regular staff saying that its one thing, but the general manager? He was knowingly being untruthful because private ordering is inconvenient. I expect much better from a location with such a big vintage and specialty section.
I came in today to buy a bottle of Coconut Ciroc I had been looking for and must say I was very impressed with the staff present. The security at the door was very friendly and there was a deaf girl that I was able to show a picture of the bottle who was immediately able to help me find it (Thank you so much! I am sorry I don’t speak more sign language.) The cashier was also very kind and was very warm and sweet with her banter a rare treat nowadays.
Very nice flagship store. Unfortunately it is not located in a nice part of town. The main floor has a much larger selection of products than your typical LCBO store. Vintages is like a store unto itself, located in the basement and accessed by elevator. The space is huge compared to other Vintages. The selection is also very broad across all price ranges. Security guards are present on both floors. There is a parking lot beside the store.
A absolutely wonderful selection of wines, great selection of craft beers and the staff are almost always friendly and courteous. But you're getting a two for one reason. Although you hold a near monopoly in Ontario for wine and liquor sales (the fifth largest market in all of North America) you can't seem to find someone to update your Google listing to indicate that you actually close at 8PM instead of 9PM - as listed here.
They have a good amount of stock and a good selection of specialty wines downstairs. However, I was refused service for being intoxicated when I was stone cold sober one day. Not a very nice way to be treated on your way home from a hard day at work, especially considering the type of people that congregate in the vicinity. Today, they had 2 large restaurant orders, and still didn't have to wait in line for long.
Have you ever walked into a place and thought this place is heaven? Me neither, but this is the closest I’ve ever gotten. The vintages downstairs, the scotches, and bourbons, and whiskeys, the moment you walk in… Not mention all the liquors, wines and beers that you can’t get any where else. If you’re the casual one glass a week on special occasions or pound em down type of person this is the place for you.
The people who work here are nice and helpful. The location has a lot of selection for wines, spirits, beers and more. The only downside is the exterior, where there's a good chance you might be accosted or yelled at by the less fortunate for absolutely no reason. So after you leave, go on your way and don't make eye contact with those you don't know or you might just pick a fight. Be safe out there.
One of the, best locations I have been to. Met a wonderful staff and crew. If you are looking for the best and only the best, go see George. He will not steer you wrong. Also, the staff know the area very well and are accustomed to Canada's great history. So the knows behind distilleries and places to check out are awesome. You will find anything and everything you need here. Just don't get lost ;)
Largest Liquor store in the city downtown. Many varieties in each section of liquor starting from beer to wine and multiple counters of checkout. Vintage wine collection in the basement. Must visit Have offers listed in various Liquors between the aisle . Note - No bags are given in the checkout due to new rule . Bring your own bags for purchasing
You can find good liquors and wines Customer care ain't do good, and they seem to focus on security more than the products they sell. Security men wearing bullets prove jackets going around the shalves. They must hire customer service agents to help customers. Yesterday, a customer recommended a Belgian beer to me, I guess that's not his job
Very good selection of the products that are available with LCBO. The staff during our visit was very friendly. Only draw back was the long line for the cash. But since they're was so many cashes open it went fairly quickly considering.
Love coming to this particular liquor store when I'm visiting Ottawa, a huge selection to choose from, well organized & friendly staff who are very helpful. This is the liquor store you would need to visit as you won't be disappointed.
Nice experience, friendly staff, just the location is a little bit sketchy and always checked by security agents inside but in sum, I always find something to buy in there. They have a good selection of everything for every budget.
Be very careful when shopping here. They are ok with putting more expensive product on shelf, then putting a lower price label from the same brand on that shelf. Shock comes at cash - double check your receipts.
Went in today to grab some wine and David was so amazing helping us out! He gave us recommendations as well as helped us find the bottle we were looking for. 100% deserves a raise such a friendly happy soul!!
Nesta and Karl were fantastic on my visit. It did not feel like a pedestrian visit to the booze store, they were engaging, and very helpful with directions. I want to shop at only this place. Great service!!!
Fantastic selection of products. The wealthy head downstairs for the top selection of wines. Good service with quick checkout. One of my favourite places in Ottawa when I visit.
This LCBO has a great selection of gift sets for Christmas as well as their usual large selection of items. A large store. Free parking on site, so it is easy to get to.
The Vintages area in the basement floor is spectacular. Such a great selection of French wine - from high out of the sky prices to down to earth within reach prices.
Went to Europe many times and drank great wine with low sulfites for 3-4 Euros. I cant believe Canadians have to pay over $20 to get a decent bottle of wine.
Great selection of tequilas and have the Biggest bottles available. Kailua is one example, only a few stores carry that size. Check availability online.
Extremely dangerous work environment considering its location. Cars get broken into. Street homies breaking in all the time. Time to change location.
Disappointed in the beer selection. Staff were unfriendly and rude. I usually go at Hawkesbury where I get greeted and get help at the cashier.
Crazy selection here, though the security watching you like you're gonna steal was pretty annoying, keep an eye out but let me shop in peace
I feel likenl this has been the best LCBO location I've visited..better than Toronto ones too! Luis XIV available there..just saying …
Love this place, shop here regularly. Today it was Emilia who went far and beyond to help me find the wine that I needed. Top experience!
In store is well organized . Outside is scary. Always drunk people fighting , harassed for money, rude comments intimidating behavior
Largest LCBO in Ottawa, great vintages selection. They have rare regions too – Georgia, Croatia, Slovenia, Lebanon, Greece
Why do no LCBO locations carry Watermelon White Claw? The parking lot is a nightmare. The cashiers are very fast.
You can find any imaginable beer, whisky, wine, or whatever in here. And the prices are quite acceptable! ✌️
Great location downtown. Loads of parking. The have a huge selection at this location. Friendly staff.
If you can't find something here, chances are you won't find it somewhere else. Pharaonic selection.
Great selection. The local population can be a bit concerning, but security is on hand in case
They made me try a new Smirnoff bottle which was delicious! Great customer service!
Nice place but is surrounded by homeless people. It's like their home base.
Always find what I am looking for, nice clean and friendly staff.
Top shelf. Check out the downstairs. Like no other I've been to.
World class with as serious wine selection as I have ever seen
Friendly staff!! Great and easy shopping experience here
Very high prices, poor selection, indifferent service
Friendly staff, great selection of wines.
