I drive across the border everyday for work. It's a daily grind on my car and I'm full of gratitude that it gets me where I need to go so I, honestly, pull up at the car wash every single day. Because I strive to keep my car nice and clean, I decided to become a member when it was called Wash-N-Go when they would give you the nicely folded, blue microfiber clothes along with an air freshener. With it now being Luv Car Wash, I have taken notice that you all are striving to continuously improve so that folks will "luv" their experience. Firstly, if it's within your budget, having a membership is key because it is so much easier to just drive through without the hassle of having to make the payment at the machine and it saves time. I have been to all of the Luv Car Washes in San Diego and I must say the one on Balboa is top tier compared to the others. Their hard working staff is ALWAYS friendly and kind to me. When time permits, they pre-rinse my car; the car washing process within itself at this location is so much nicer because it is bigger. The spaces to wipe and vacuum your car are spacious as well. They've also added window cleaner and the air blower, which is a cool bonus too. As the air fresheners say, "Luv is in the air" and I feel that each day I go there for my car cleaning needs. I'm appreciative. Thank you.

I had requested a membership worth $9.99 for the first two months with payment on my card 0347 and then $22.99 after. Within those two months I tried to wash my car and the agent informed me that my payment could not be processed due to a problem with the card so he had created a new account on another card (7281) with a promotional value of $9.99 in the first month and then $22.99 in subsequent months. He insisted that I take the more expensive membership and I said that there was no need and that I preferred the cheaper plan. However, I came across a membership charge of $36.99 on my card 0347. This charge has already been made twice. Meanwhile, on my other card 7281, I also continue to be charged. I went back there to resolve this and I couldn't wash my car due to the same message "We were unable to bill your credit card" What do you expect now? That I provide a third credit card and be charged on 3 accounts for a service I can't even use? None of the employees knew how to help me and I was stuck blocking the entrance for almost an hour, so humiliating and frustrating.

September 27th, 2023 Update: it has been over 2 weeks now since I initiated this matter with LUV carwash, and still haven't received any resolution to this matter, I have been given the runaround, and they have stopped answering my calls. ------- Original review: I had an unfavorable encounter at LUV Carwash this morning. For the past six months, my mother and I have been regular customers at LUV Carwash without any issues. However, today, while we were washing our car, we had a distressing interaction with an individual who identified themselves as the owner of the establishment. This person informed us, in a confrontational manner, that due to our older license plate, they would not provide their services to us any longer, and that our membership would be terminated immediately. The conduct of this individual towards us was exceedingly impolite and distressing, to the extent that it caused my mother to become emotional. I intend to file a formal complaint with the relevant authorities regarding the discrimination and discourtesy we experienced during this incident.

I just signed up last week and I am in LUV with this car wash! I will never go to Soapy Joes again. Sorry Joe but you need to step up your game. LUV car wash customer service is amazing! Angel the manager at the Balboa location helped me out so much with signing up to explaining how the top coat is the #1 in all of the car washes. I LUV how I can see and feel my car is getting extra attention on the wash. I LUV that the vacuum not only has one attachment to get a wider area to clean but also has a second attachment for those hard to reach areas. And they have a hose to spray air as well! I also LUV that there is windex and towels at no extra fees to use. If you haven’t tried out this car wash please try it out! You will not be disappointed!! You will absolutely LUV this place!!

Went to this location on a month ago and noticed the owner has changed. Okay. Found the price is more than doubled comparing to the previous owner Wash N Go. FINE, I'm already here. After the wash I noticed one of my fog light is broken, not sure if that was from the wash or something else. So I wrote a statement on the notebook provided by the staff there and requested a video or photo before and after the wash to check when the damage happened. After a week, no one contacted me. So I wrote an email to them - yes, the "ca0306" thing that you can see from all their reply to those low rating. Waited for two weeks and tried to follow up. NO RESPONSE AT ALL 0-star for your horrible customer service

This place doesn’t deserve one star! Come here if you want your car scratched up! It’s a hot mess when you pull up to begin with on a typical busy day. No way to get out when you are done vacuuming. Workers will direct traffic if they are not busy helping every car at the kiosk. I join the membership and realize auto payments went from $9.99 to $22.99 without notice! But they are quick to send me many Tex messages and email I requested refund and her instant message reply “policy are displayed on kiosk’s” so I requested to speak to a manger “you need to go in person and I don’t have a direct contact”. Waste of time!!

This is the best car wash hands down! I’ve tried some of their competitors because they were closer to home but they didn’t compare. This wash gets everything off my car, others I still had to scrub after. These vacuums also have great power they pick everything up. There is always plenty of clean cleaning cloths and window cleaner. Everyone here is super friendly. The manager Niko was very helpful with fixing my account. He handled it right away and with professionalism and kindness. I will keep coming here even if it’s a 20 minute drive from my house because it’s worth it.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but when I do, they will always be 5*****! What a great experience I was so lucky to have at LUV Car Wash! It started with this amazing gentleman named Nieco, he made sure all my needs were taken care of to the highest standards possible and my car came out looking so clean and fresh, it looked liked I just pulled it out from the dealership. Quick process, great experience, I really enjoyed seeing all the colors and splashes through the ride, will definitely come back. Way to go Nieco and staff team, keep up the good work!

The car wash works great. The crew on the other hand, does not know what they are doing at all. They claim they offer a military and first responder discount for the membership but the 3 managers on shift have no idea how to apply it. The other disappointment to this location is you must bring your own towels as they only offer clean WET towels to dry your freshly washed vehicle. Great car wash and vacuums but the rest desperately needs work. Train your managers on their job before leaving them out to dry with customers that ask questions.

I’ve been coming to this location since it was Wash N Go. And I have to say the place looks great since the remodel. I don’t know why people are such haters, everything everywhere has gone up in price. So why is everyone so surprised. Every time I’ve been in I’ve had a great experience, there’s always plenty of towels, the vacuums and the air compressor is a plus. The employees are great and have always been very helpful. The new tunnel always gets the job done.

Niko was a great guy. Vacuum cleaners are powerful with two option size hoses for faster (wide tip), and narrow tip (for difficult to reach places). New towels are often being replenished. CLEAN towels are at the BOTTOM box. Used(dirty) ones on the top. The price $10 is a bit high for a single wash. Despite that, I'm still giving 5 to this place. I wish we had one LUV on Carmel Mountain Road, Rancho Penasquitos, Rancho Bernardo..

Omg! Today was a great day at LUV’S car wash ! I have always been a loyal customer of Soapy Joes because employee Jorge Pinto. I was advised he was no longer at Soapys that he went to Luv’s. I went today and ran into Jorge’s friendly smiling face. I will now be going to Luv’s from here on out . Thank you Jorge for always being so nice and friendly and providing me with towels and windex today. Cheers to a new company and a new adventure Jorge.

This was my first experience with a car wash membership of any kind. I only got to use it a hand full of times before I sold my car but I would have definitely kept this membership going if the new car I bought didn't have the roof rack on it. All the employees were so helpful and friendly and the car wash did a surprisingly good job compared to other drive through car washes I've been through. Overall great experience 10/10 would recommend!

I was a customer for over a year. It was a nice place to get a cheap car wash. Unfortunately when my car got scratched and tired to communicate with manager, that was the worst experience. The manager tried to avoid and never showed up to solve the problem. One of supervisors was rude and said if you wanted to call police and go ahead, then just walk away. If you care about your car and want it pretty, DON’T come to this place.

I love LUV car wash but the Balboa location is my most favorite. Excellent attentive staff always! On my most recent visit Nico was so pleasant and helped me with my issue promptly and efficiently. He was polite and paid attention to every detail I provided. I signed up for the monthly program with the basic wash. The vacuum facilities are outstanding, with free use of clean micro fiber cloths. Spaces are generous enough for my SUV but may feel a little cramped with a big truck unless you had an end space. Staff communicate well and are professional and friendly. If you could buy stock in this operation, I would. Location is also very convenient, near the 163.

Used to be my favorite car wash place- ownership changed and now minimum of $10 per car wash. I use it out of convenience for work but will most likely head down the road to save money and get an equally good car wash. experience was still good and it’s a car wash so it gets the job done. just can’t justify the price when there are plenty of other washes that do an equally good job at half the cost.

More than I expected; came just for vacuum but got a single wash for 10.00 dollars exactly that included the self serve vacuuming. I was surprised to not only receive immediate service damp rags were also complimentary with the vacuum service. Although I came the last hour I was able to get in and out fast even with the vacuum service half closed. Highly recommend!!

DO NOT GO to this car wash if you value your paint job! I went here the other day and purchased their $22 premium wash and unfortunately did not notice the damage done to my roof and top of my trunk until later on! It seems like their top cleaning wiper roll isn't properly calibrated. Very irritating considering I just bought this car brand new last month.

This is the second LUV car wash I’ve used, I really like this one, it’s larger and the spaces to utilize the vacuum is more convenient, this one also has the window cleaner at each station. The staff here are customer friendly. I highly recommend LUV car wash stations but if you’re near Balboa Ave and need your car wash this is the go to car wash station.

$10 for an average wash is not worth it, plenty of places with same service for half the price. The worst part about this place is the layout. You have to drive through the vacuums to get to the car wash, then go opposite of the exit to go back to the vacuums, and then turn around in a lane that's barely wide enough. Whole place is backwards, literally.

I have to say this car wash is the BEST I haven’t went any other car wash ever since I came to this one the workers here are nice and kind hearted and also when you go through you get a air freshener for your car and best thing is next to it you can clean the inside the car. My first time coming here and the customer service is excellent! The wash was great especially with how dirty my car was. The workers were friendly and there is never a shortage of clean towels! Please! Chek your cars after passing through the car wash machine. Specifically the right doors. I found a couple scratches on my new car and I think it was there because I checked other cars around and the came out with the same damages in the same area. I already mentioned to someone there.

Pretty decent car wash. These drive-through car washes seem to be the new thing. I go to Soapy Joe's most of the time, but this was close to my house and they offered a free car wash so I gave it a try. Was pretty happy about how well the car wash did. I would go back.

The staff here are always super nice and helpful! I had questions in regards to my membership and they solved it easily and quickly. During the transition from the previous company to LUV they had lots of traffic and questions but still managed to run smoothly.

I ended my membership since wash n go changed to luv. Price increase for long term customer was just too much when i can go down the street and get the same service for cheaper as a new customer. Y'all need to know your competition before you raise your prices.

The car wash itself is pretty good. Well maintained, clean, and the lights were a nice touch for the kids. They provide towels with the cost of the wash, which is too expensive in my opinion. You can get the same service for cheaper elsewhere.

Have been coming here for a few months now! The staff is always welcoming and kind! The car wash itself is thorough, and a breeze, and gets every inch of the car! Drying and vacuuming after is also easy and convenient!

I just finished washing my car but my rubber was damaged and water got inside. When I asked the staff, they said they were not responsible. The reason is that the rubber damage has nothing to do with the car wash.

I prefer to go to this location over the rest become they’re attentive and try to meet your asks. Anytime I’ve needed something they try to make it happen. The towels are always stocked and the vacuums work well.

Very bad business. Crew don’t disclose preferred vehicle year & models they will only honor for fixing if their wash machine break any piece, side mirror, etc. NO COVERAGE. Not recommending to do business.

These guys is lots of product (soap, wax, etc). The vacuums work great and they have compressed air to blow off the car. I do have to say at certain times there is a wait and it becomes a bit chaotic.
