I ordered a chair last November, understanding that it wouldn't arrive until June. I sat in every chair and decided on the exact chair I wanted. Then I picked the color I wanted. As you can see from the photo, that hand is my salesperson's hand acknowledging that this is the color I wanted. This didn't go as easily as I expected. The chair didn't come until July but still, I was happy to have it delivered. Upon arrival, I told the guys who delivered it that that is not the color I ordered. They showed me the numbers and I agreed those were the the same numbers but still that was not the color of the chair I expected. I went to meet Pete Kennedy (manager) at the store to discuss. There seems to be a consensus at Lazy Boy about the lighting being different, but I did not think that was the issue. Let me be clear, if the sales person would have shown me the color, of the chair that arrived, he did not, I would've said NO. I was clear that I wanted RED. So, now I have this chair that is not the color I wanted but the chair is great. I hope Lazy Boy will live up to their reputation and make this right. Today is Thursday the 21st of July and I met with Pete at the store on Saturday the 16th. Of course there was nothing he could do until Monday, but I haven't heard from him. I called this morning and he was busy with another customer. I very much appreciate feedback since these colors can not be confused in any light. The last thing Pete said was I'd like to see them side by side (as if that would change anything). Who thinks Lazy Boy will make this good and who thinks I'm stuck? 7/26/22 UPDATE: I was notified that Daniel would be coming by this morning between 9-11AM to bring me a new swatch so I could okay the color. He showed up and didn't know why he was here. I said, "do you know why you're here?" He said, No. Needless to say he did not have the swatch. Which really surprised me. Since I did have an email telling me would have it. He took some photos and took photos of my photos and left. Stay tuned because there will be more. Update: 07/28/22 Well, this has been interesting. Yesterday someone came by for an appointment that was not scheduled. I was not here. This morning, Thomas came by at 8:45 for a scheduled 9AM appointment. Luckily, I was just coming back from walking my dog to meet him at the scheduled 9:00AM appointment and caught him. He came in and took more photos of the chair I have that is not the color I wanted. He came with a swatch of the exact color that the chair is that is the exact color I did not want. It's weird. I expected him to bring the color I do want for me to okay it. Jesus, the warehouse manager, and I spoke and I explained again that yes that swatch IS the color of the chair, but that is not the color leather I wanted. In the meantime, I found a whole section on Facebook of dissatisfied Lazy Boy customers. That did not make me feel hopeful. I don't know what happens next but I'm thinking it's a big pow wow among the San Mateo store and corporate. I don't know what they'd need to talk about, a picture is worth 1000 words after all. The salesman was very nice and helpful. I purchased a lift chair for almost $3000 for my disabled husband. It began to make a knocking noise after about 4 days. We live an hour and a half away and I didn’t have a way to get the chair in to maintenance, so I called to let them know. They said it could take up to 3 weeks to get parts in. We continued to use the chair and then last week the lights on the remote began to go off and on and would sometimes work and sometimes not. Finally it quit working. The chair is a little over four months old. I called again and was told it would be examined and then parts could take up to a week. I asked about a replacement chair and was told that a request would have to be made to someone higher up if it was deemed “unfixable”. My daughter is taking the chair in to maintenance tomorrow and, in the meantime, I have a disabled person with no chair. I hope this can be resolved quickly. I expected better quality from La-Z-Boy.
I had the pleasure of working with Shawna in need of a loveseat. After going to several stores I still couldn’t find what I desired or the help trying to get one. So I called lazy boy and Shawna spent over a half hour looking up and answering all my questions. I headed over to take a look. Shawna really spent the time needed to get me exactly what I wanted. She made a special order for me with the right color and texture along with many more options. I felt comfortable and every member of the staff there was so eager to help each other. Shawna took a very stressful day and made it pleasant. I would absolutely recommend going to lazy boy first and foremost to avoid undo stress and get the customer service and exactly what you need the first time.

Jenny was very helpful and went out of her way to help us try out the various recliners. Once we decided to look at fabric on the recliner model we had chosen, Jenny accompanied us to the area where fabric swatches were on display. Once we had decided on the fabric we liked, she explained the benefits of the fabric we had chosen, checked its' availability, and the total cost of the recliner upholstered in the fabric we had chosen. We ultimately ended up ordering the recliner in the same leather as the display model. We are very happy with our shopping experience with Jenny, and the recliner and options we chose.
My wife and I walked through La-Z-Boy looking for just the right recliner sofa and coffee table/rising desktop piece. We really didn't find anything interesting. The salesperson was trying her best to find something we would like, but to no avail. It just seems like La-Z-Boy just doesn't have the same variety as Ashley Furniture, which we went to the day before and found the "almost perfect" recliner sofa and coffee table/desk.
I worked with the Albuquerque San Mateo LazyBoy furniture team on two separate occasions during the last six months. The store offers a variety of high quality options (not just recliners) and the team is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Working with Lisa, I was able to identify furniture pieces that fit my needs, style, and budget. Delivery was easy and the delivery team friendly and professional. Two great experiences!
Had a really good experience here with quality service. Jenny was very professional and helped answer all of our questions. We were able to get the product that we wanted and also added protection without much issue. I would like it though if the price advertised also included the tax for it and just show it all together. It's kind of a shock sometimes when you're seeing 500 extra dollars in taxes but just a thought.
Kristen is an amazing interior designer. She spent time in our home to learn our likes and styles. She came up with a terrific design that we both loved. Monique was our sales assistant; very knowledgeable and friendly. In fact, everyone we met there was very helpful and friendly. We can hardly wait for the furniture to get here and be delivered. Not our first purchase and won't be the last.
Great atmosphere! The salesman made himself available but didn't hover and he wasn't pushy, thank goodness. Very clean, well maintained and smells nice. Bathrooms are clean, neat and well taken care of. They have a lot of beautiful furniture but the prices are outrageous! We were looking at a couch and it had a $8000 price tag. Even some of the throw pillows were over $200! No thanks.
The Gallery itself was great. Friendly staff good service. Unfortunately the recliners I purchased are the most uncomfortable that I have ever owned. I am totally disappointed with them from a comfort point. I gave 2 stars for the nice folks at the Gallery but the chairs are definitely 1 star. Sit in them a long time before making a purchase.
Very good shopping experience, over 2 days. I was looking for an Absolutly comfortable chair. Wasn’t at all sure I needed the motorized function but saw tge benefit of that feature. Pete and Kristin were both so helpful and patient. I am really happy with what I purchased, wish I could have gotten both of the comfortable chairs that I found!!
Sales person was knowledgeable in all the various models and pointed out all of the different features available. Overall very helpful. The product delivery to my house was on schedule and the delivery people were efficient in the setup and explanation of the operation of the power recliner. All in all a very satisfactory experience.
My experience with buying a new recliner was great. Gerald, the salesman, was professional and courteous. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating is because ALL SALES ARE FINAL. If the items that they sell are as wonderful as they claim, why wouldn’t they accept returns? Also, the delivery charge is REALLY high.
Pete treated us as individuals making sure the La-Z-Boy recliners were perfect for each of us. He wasn't selling a chair, he was selling comfort. He was patient, wise, and a pleasure. He knew his stock and made sure we understood our eventual purchase. My uncle and I recommend La-Z-Boy without hesitation.
We received friendly help. There was no pressure to buy. Our salesman, Gerald was very tuned in to what we were asking for. He took us right to the perfect chair! So, we took two chairs, which we just had delivered. The delivery team were great, also. So, we are very pleased with our lazyboy experience.

Great experience buying a recliner. Greeted at door by knowledgeable and attentive salesperson. Able to pick up purchase within 2 hours. Courteous guys loaded the chair after letting me inspect it and showing me how to install and operate it. Chair is perfect for me, and I'm pleased with it.
We bought a lazy boy recliner 5 months ago in another state. Within 4 month it stopped working. Lazy boy Albuquerque will not honor warranties from other stores - in other words, you are out of luck and now own a $1400 boat anchor. They even had the nerve to try and sell me another recliner!
We are a returning Lazy Boy customer. Staff is great. They greeted us when entering and asked who or what we needed. Not pushy, just helpful. David J did a great job helping us do a custom order and took his lead based on what we wanted. Hence why this is our third purchase with this team!
