Going through previous reviews, I'm a little surprised especially with the one of 5 months ago, since this library was only recently renovated in July 2017. I don't know what a world class library would be like, seeing as I've never been opportuned to visit one outside the country, but I'm sure it would definitely feel and look like this. The library has different sections; a longer area where you can use as a work space and resting area, the main library itself and other segmented reading areas. It has the some desktops with dedicated internet access, it's conducive and relaxing. The chairs are great with nice lumbar support. The conveniences are decent. The librarians are doing a good job of ensuring people keep to rules, at least two persons were sent out for taking calls in the designated no call at. Now, I can't judge the library based on the learning resources available, seeing as I went with my own learning resources, but I would be sure to donate to it after my experience today. I would definitely make it a home away from home and recommend it to someone else. I just hope however it doesn't end up being like everything that was uneventful good in Nigeria, by being well maintained. I implore GTB to prevail upon the government to carry our routine maintenance and excigency maintenance as at when due.
If there were a zero star option, I would gladly award it. This place is a cemetery. I came here to certify a newspaper publication only to be informed that there are no copies available, and I have to go to the paper's HQ at Apapa, buy it for 3k then come back and certify for a little over 2k. Who? Me? . Look, if you need to certify anything, keep the original copy handy so as not to waste your precious time. It's deserted, old and dilapidated. I didn't meet any electricity. However if you need a place akin to reading in the forest, then I wish you the very best.
Hmmmmm. Nothing much to say. But, carried its library status so well. A nice place to read. They offers collection of ISBN number and the barcode. The place have just renovated so it looks kinda untidy. Staffs looks underpaid, which is very bad. Nice structure and a good environment. Easily accessible, by car, bike, motorcycle, bicycle, tricycle, leg all forms. Also, wheelchair entrance. Alot of things to be done in there. Looks soo substandard for a NATIONAL LIBRARY. Overall appraisal 2.5 stars of 5.
I couldn't get the history books i wanted, told I could only get newspapers to read, that the library was undergoing repairs. I asked when the repairs will be over, they didn't know.
There is spcae outside with tables and chair. Didn't use the main library itself. Space outside to park if you have a car. Toilets are nasty.
Place is very hidden and needs extra care to find. Plus bad service center. Serves and the office for the ISBN registration too
National Library for Books and publications registration and ISBN collection and exhibition …
The facility is very poorly maintained, it looks dilapidated and badly maintained
Very nice reading garden and also the staff there are very polite and nice.
Currently locked down for months now due to industrial action..
