I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital. I volunteered for an animal rescue who intially referred me to the clinic - I'm so happy I made the switch. When I initially bought my French Bulldog, she was being dog sat and had eaten a cotton pillow that I was not informed about until three days later. Dr. G and his team took her in directly and operated on her until 2:00 AM. He phoned me to keep me updated and I will never forget the kidness and care this clinic provided me and Scarlett during such a scary time. She went on to have other issues with her stomach and Dr. G and his team were always ontop of things with getting us in quickly no matter what the issue may have been. Scarlett also had two LP surgeries preformed here and her healing has been excellent. I cannot tell you the constant check ins, care and emails that the clinic answered as a worried pet parent during this healing process. I recently took a job in another city and had to make an extremely hard decision to move clinics as the drive to Oakville would be over two hours. I'm at a transitional clinic now as I begin my move for January 1, 2024. I'm deeply saddened to have to leave this clinic but with all the issues my dog has, I need something close by. If you're looking for a vet that cares about your pet, that is knowledgeable and holds the highest standard of care for your pet - you won't regret coming to Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital. This clinic became apart of my family as I was there so often (French Bulldogs, am I right?) with Scarlett. We will be forever thankful for Dr. G and his team. We love you all! Victoria & Scarlett

I am delighted to share my heartfelt experience with Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital. My family and I had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Sophie, who crossed the rainbow at 16.5 years old on October 01, 2022. It took some time for me to grieve, cope, and gather my thoughts to write this review objectively. Sophie was a patient at this clinic for several years, and I cannot speak highly enough about the compassionate care by Dr. Safwat Gobriel (Dr. G) and his team. They have handled several medical procedures for Sophie with extreme care and attention. The team ensures that pets are well-cared for and that they do not overcharge or run unnecessary tests. The advice from Dr. G is reliable, thorough, and reassuring. He follows up to ensure that your pet has a good experience and is doing well after their visit. What impressed me the most was how Dr. G and their clinic manager, Taylor, handled Sophie's last days with incredible compassion and sensitivity. Their bedside manner was top-notch, and they ensured that Sophie's final moments were as comfortable and peaceful as possible. We miss Sophie dearly, but we are so grateful she received such excellent care at this clinic. My dog Gemma had a bad injury on late Saturday morning. It was an emergency as my dog has a condition where she can bleed to death as her blood does not clot. I rushed her to Dr. Gobriel’s Lakeshore location and he immediately attended to her. He treated her with utmost care and ensured that she got all the attention she needed. It even meant that they had to work after closing hours just to make sure that Gemma got the appropriate medical treatment. Dr. Gobriel further answered all of my families questions and concerns, which left us feeling relieved after the experience. He continued to make follow up calls over the next 3 days – to make sure she was fine. ***** Thank you Dr. G and staff for taking care of Gemma, for the truly amazing and exceptional service that you provide. I just want to say how amazing Dr. G and all of the staff are here! They were so helpful and compassionate with my newly adopted kitten that was in medical distress and saved his life! Dr. G clearly explained everything that could be done and made sure that my little Obi was assessed and treated accordingly. I have 4 other fur babies who I will be bringing there also when needed (I'm new to Oakville and the neighborhood) and I know they will all be in great hands. They also explained the costs and how I could save $ on the insulin I have to get for my senior, diabetic pug, which is a very costly expense due to the amount she needs. I am grateful for them all and happy I went to them for my initial emergency

Dr. G and his team are the best! They saved our Maltese dog who had a huge emergency - a problem with his teeth that even could have led to loosing an eye. But, fortunately our case was treated with the most urgency! (We lost a week waiting and trying other hospitals with no results). We are so happy we found this hospital. Dr G is very competent professional who really provides a lot of explanation and details in order to ensure proper treatment for the best results. His team is very skilled and most welcoming. We tried 4 hospitals within last 7 years and only Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital showed their professionalism and love to pets. Highly recommended! Thank you, LRAH, for saving our dog!

There are no words to describe the humanity and level of care that Dr. G and the entire team at Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital provide. Our beautiful Rufus had been visiting the clinic for 3.5 years, and we always received the best advice and suggested treatment for anything that he might’ve been going through; regular vaccinations, general prevention or as his age started to show, more intensive treatment. We’ve sadly just lost our beautiful Rufus, who lived an incredible life, and while coming to terms with this fact is extremely hard, we can’t thank Dr. G and the team enough for the thoughtfulness and compassion shown to Rufus and to us through it all.

My car was sick and not doing well. We broguhbher here and they said she was dehydrated and gave us some medicine for it. They took 300 dollars for medicine and what not. This is without running any diagnosticslike X-rays etc. My cat did not get any better after trusting this diagnostic and giving the medicine they told us to buy. She ended up having cancer and this hospital failed to check her up. We took her to another one and are currently waiting for results on a surgery. Please save your money from this clinic they scammed us. We wasted one whole day which can drastically changed the situation for a disease.

I was very impressed with Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital. They were kind enough to see our dog urgently at 6:30 PM and provided her with such thorough and expert care. Everyone I encountered was very kind and compassionate. I would not hesitate to return back if ever needed in the future. Thank you again! Update March 2023 We couldn't be happier with the care we receive at Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital. They have seen us for two urgent medical issues and have taken such good care of our little dog. We had a very disappointing experience at this clinic. Despite taking our cat in for regular checkups, they didn't diagnose her condition and simply prescribed medication without follow-up. We were concerned about our cat's well-being, but it seemed like the clinic didn't care. We ended up going to another clinic, where our cat was quickly diagnosed as being in critical distress with a simple blood test. We were disappointed that the this clinic didn't provide the same level of care and attention to our cat's health and only cared about making money :(.

Much thanks from myself, Robert and family for helping our beloved cat Mimzy through a safe surgery and fairly easy recovery. I'm sure she wasn't the easiest of patients and we knew she was in good hands after all your help with Phoebe a few months ago! Mimzy has struggled with the cone but thanks to some advice from one of your staff on the phone we've helped her manage. Dr G and his staff are amazing. I had numerous emergencies and health issues with my 4 pets and Dr G and his staff went above and beyond to help them each time. He was there for us when we had emergencies at all hours and helped us at very trying times. The care and love they have for animals shows and it was so comforting to know I had a safe and loving place to drop my animals off for checkups or other issues. Since first meeting Dr.G, I have moved several times, but refuse to get a new vet. He and his team always show the utmost care and compassion to my dog. He always takes the time to explain everything to you, and even shows you your pets x-rays. His "bedside manner" is unbeatable. Have you ever hugged your pet's vet? I have! We cannot recommend Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital enough. This is a great vet clinic and we are very happy that we found it after a terrible experience with another clinic next to them. a breath of fresh air! Modern, clean, great customer service, friendly, trained staff. dr.g takes his time with our dog and seem genuinely caring, making sure we understand all the possible treatment plans. I have been going to Dr G for many years to treat both of my dogs. His love and caring for your pet is amazing. His staff is also very caring. A few months back I had to put my 14 year old Labrador down and the staff was so supportive and loving during this process that it made it much easier for my family and myself to cope.
