Yes, it does need an upgrade, but it's not like the other bad stations on the Mernda Line. It's single island platform is great at handling peak hour crowds, like it's that wide, and also PIDs for both platforms. Plus, it has a historic charm that adds to the surrounding area. For predestrians, only the side with the train closes at the level crossing, so say you need to get on a train on platform 1 but you come from the Platform 2 side. You're still in luck to get your train.

I live there FREEZING COLD in winter very HOT in summer. No even polycarbonate windows or doors to protect us. No toilets No bins to put rubbish in anywhere all the way to.thomastown. Ample car spaces but safe? To far from station sometimes. That's lalor for you

Need to upgrade the train station need to add new things to it & got to add toilets for public use! Also need to make more car parks! Also have to add more shelter's for public area need more bus stop also need more police on scene for public protections!

ugly sation, no bathrooms theres like nothing long over due for an upgrade not sure why thomastown was not this its about to collapse but gets u from point A to point B so all goood also its safe and not many cops only in the evening hours around 6-10pm

I think it is long overdue for an upgrade, it is completely eclipsed if you compare it to Epping or Thomastown station. If I had to sum it up, very barren and nothing special.

Place is bad. No shops (eg coffee places) or any metro train worker, you only see police when it gets dark. Definitely needs an upgrade

really bad and old station that need upgrade, there is no staff or shops nearby to enjoy your stay at the station looks very unsafe
