Happened upon the "monochrome for Austin" kayak sculpture in the air while driving thru the UT Austin campus on a visit. I stoped dead in my tracks to admire Nancy Rubins' outdoor installation at the gateway to the Hackermam bldg. Nothing like outdoor landmark art sculptures to bring wonder, joy & amazement to the day! Bravo Austin! …
UT's Landmarks program is more than just a singular place. It includes a number of installations, sculptures, and other pieces of art that are truly public. If you're in Austin, take advantage of what Landmarks has to offer.
Fantastic art and wonderful docents. Take the tour if you can. I am constantly reminded what an amazing city we live in. Landmarks Public Art Program is just one more reason why I love this city!
