I don't usually go out of my way to criticize local businesses, but this place is that bad. On 4/6/13, I went there because my usual laundromat was too crowded. Big mistake. First strike: The prices. The place I usually go to charges $4.50 for using the large washers. Laundroplex charges $5.75. It also compares badly with my preferred laundromat where the dryers are $.25 for 7 minutes. At Laundroplex, you'll pay $.25 for 5 minutes. Second strike: The equipment is in poor shape. The dryers, in particular, are decrepit. I dropped in 5 quarters and got an "Err" message. It took a few minutes for the machine to unlock. Apparently, this is such a common occurrence that they have even put up a sign to warn people about it. Well, they even paid the to have the sign professionally made. Instead of, you know, paying to fix the dryers. Third strike: After two hours and $21 (compared to 1 1/2 hours and $15 at my usual place), my clothes were not sufficiently clean or dry. My sheets smelled like they hadn't even been washed. The dryers were a disaster. Apparently, their dryers will pop open and dump your clothes on the floor if you have them more than half full. I moved half of the clothes out of that dryer and put them into another one, giving both another 30 minutes. One of the loads came out damp even on "Normal". Another load of clothes I put into one dryer at "Low Temp" were baked at what felt like the high temp. The bottom line is that Laundroplex is too expensive compared to the quality of service they provide. They should spend some of the excessive money they charge on better equipment. I will never go back.

well the place is a little higher than others but open 24 hrs in a good neighborhood with strong Gladstone police presence.Heres what makes the place greedy and getting this poor review: The last 3 months Ive came here to do my laundry, the bathroom door is locked when attendant leaves in afternoon.If you dont want restroom open without attendant, then dont be a cheapskate Close when they leave If not then pay an attendant thier minimum wage you pay that one large wash and dry would more than cover.The place is very rarely empty so you can afford that.If you arent willing to do that...leave the freakin bathroom door open.Your cuatomers are there for hours doing laundry.Ladies and children need an available restroom. You made it so we have to leave our laundry unattended if we have to go find a public restroom. Your area is locked up with chains to protect your stuff when you and your employees leave to protect them from theft.But you make it so the customers have to leave thiers unprotected if they have to use the restroom!! That appears you only care or think your property has value but your cuatomers dont..Id like the owner to respond to this review.Its not a temporary restroom closing.Its been closed after attendant leaves all year.

Hands down the best laundromat around. I come here weekly. It’s clean, I can bring my son here and set him up with his tablet and some snacks and we’re good to go. 2-5pm ever day is happy hour .. double loaders are a 1.50. It’s busy around this time and is stressful to me personally so I usually spring for the extra dollar per load on those. This one has an attendant. She’s great. Very nice, helpful, and she does a great job at keeping up with the place. The owners keep good care of their washers and dryers. Sometimes you will find one out of order, but they fix them quickly. They have plenty of tables for folding and plenty of carts. Two change machines and the lady will always give you bill change if you only have a 20. Best laundromat! Oh, someone mentioned bugs .. I have been coming here consistently for several months and I have never not one time seen a bug of any kind.

This is an excellent laundry facility! Laundroplex is open 24 hours with friendly staff there during the days/evenings. They have very clean self-serve machines as well as laundry drop-off services. There are vending machines to purchase snacks/drinks and also laundry supplies. There are many tables and chairs, and two television sets for comfort while you are doing laundry. There is free WIFI available for customers, just ask the attendant for the password. Also, the restroom is kept very clean. They have a bill changer for quarters for washers and dryers. The machines accommodate large items such as King size comforters. The washers and dryers are reasonably priced and they have special lower rates from 2pm-5pm every day. I highly recommend LaundroPlex!

One the cleanest laundry mats I've used ever! The staff cleaned the entire building twice during my visit! There are a ton of machines with various load capacities. The prices are reasonably affordable, but their happy hour special is unbeatable. Double washers for $1.50 from 2pm to 5pm! There is even free wifi, a TV, a bathroom, and vending machines! The parking lot is very close to the main lobby and makes it easy to transport your items or sit in your car while your clothes wash and dry. For those needing additional assistance, the staff is very helpful and can wash, and fold, your clothes for a nominal fee. If you need an easy and painless washing experience, this is the ideal laundry mat.

I have been using this laundromat for 3 years as my apartments don't have laundry facilities. I really like this place as it is clean and the staff is friendly. I also love the fact that its open 24 hours. I used to work nights and came often after work. The only thing I can't say about it is the prices. Some say it's expensive but I haven't really been to enough other businesses to compare them. Evey time I visit another laundromat I find it's too small or more expensive/not what I need. Yes, some of the dryers are a bit wore out but I don't mind. If you get there at a time when they aren't busy then you can spread your clothes out into several dryers and they dry pretty quick.

BY FAR the best Laundromat I've been to! Fresh plants everywhere, multitude of clean running fans, standard to commercial grade washers, plethora of dryers, like-new laundry carts, public sink, 2 mounted tv's, and countless folding tables! They also supply a drink and snack machine, racing arcade game, seating areas, and change/cash machine. To top it all off, not only are they 24 hours, they have happy hour from 2-5 for $1.50 washes! AND the one thing it seems ALL laundromats fail to supply, they did - a broom and dust pan mounted on the wall for ease of access and clean up! Fantastic place! A++++

Not a bad laundry facility. The place was well lit, clean, and had perks like bill changer, dispensary, WiFi, and TV. The machines were in working order and clean. The place had both residential top load ($2.00) and front load washers ($2.75). There were medium and large commercial front load washers as well ($3.75-$6.50). I used the top load for my clothes and they came out clean and fresh. The commercial sized dryers were reasonable and fast ($0.25 for 7 min). Lint traps are cleaned by staff daily. My double load dried fully in 27 min on medium heat.

I honestly did NOT want to do laundry at a laundromat, but my washer went out and I needed to do laundry. I had some ideas built up about a dirty place with coin machines that stole money etc. That is NOT the case with laundroplex. This place has Wifi, is clean, the coin machine was exact, the woman on staff very helpful and honestly the machines are not terribly expensive. Even the bathroom was very clean with plenty of paper towels and soap. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a place to do laundry.

If you want clean clothes do NOT go to Laudroplex. They have old machines that don't work correctly. My boyfriend and I both took our laundry and used several machines. Everything thing came out of the washers soak and wet. If they worked correctly they should have been nearly dry. Then it took over $2.50 per load to dry. Back in the 90's it was my favorite laundromat now I wouldn't even think of ever going back. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same machines they had in the 90's.

I like that it's open 24 hours and is in a relatively safe neighborhood. I've never had trouble with equipment not working. There's a laundry supplies vending machine if you forget something (dryer sheets, bleach, etc). Decent number of places to sit, and there is a TV to watch. The building is good sized, well lit, and has plenty of washer/dryers. I like that's it's across the street from some gas stations so I can get snacks if I want, and there's an ATM in the parking lot too.

Very clean. They have the owner in there at certain times plus another lady on staff in case something happens. It's just a nice atmosphere and he knows which of his washers and then they have a bazillion washers and dryers + at 2 p.m. you can get the bigger load washers for a dollar fifty which is awesome. Staff is nice and friendly holds the door open for you just everything that you would want in a facility that's a service laundromat. You got to go there. And ask for Tony.

Washer stopped working and laundry got backed up before we could get a new one in (7 people in the household). Backed into my parking spot opened the back of the van and started bringing in first basket of laundry. The lady working walked over immediately and insisted that I let her help me unload. She then explained to me how everything worked and gave me the inside scoop on the best washers and dryers in the place. Absolutely clean and unbelievably great service.

YAY Thx Google reviewers!!! Made this out-of-towner happy to find a clean modern laundromat. Felt safe which meant a lot cuz parts of KC can be sketchy. A/C was a wonderful relief on a heat indexed Sunday. Free WiFi although I couldn’t find attendant to get password but maybe they’d gone to lunch cuz restroom was spotless which indicated to me that someone was keeping a good eye on it. Only had one small load so I wasn’t here long but it was a nice tidy place.

A little expensive to wash, the dryer is cheap but it doesn't dry your clothes the 1st time. Big washers are $6.25 to wash and small washers are $2.00. Happy hour is 2pm-5pm and you can wash for $1.50. But those washers are tiny! Dryers are large and 25 cents. Open 24 hours with a restroom and 2 TV's. 1 arcade game and they do rey cleaning. It was pretty clean in there and there were places to sit.

Although they advertise free WiFi for customers, the WiFi is secured and there’s no sign anywhere to say what the password is. There’s no attendant. And the electrical outlets provided for folks to plug in (presumably to use the WiFi that they refuse to give customers access to) don’t work at all! I’m disappointed by this flagrant false advertising, and wishing I’d gone somewhere else.

The only thing nice about this place is the employees and the convenience of distance from home. The washers always smell weird. The change machines are usually not working. There’s always trash on the floor or some sort of mess from the moment the employees leave until they come back. It’s really sad that people are so messy in public. They even leave their clothes behind sometimes.

Always nice and clean friendly owners and you can always count on them being open inconvenient the big thing is you can take the courts out of the laundromat for you with bad backs like me do not go up there on Antioch it might look out pretty and shiny from the outside but if you have back trouble there's no way that you can let a basket assist you for they got them trapped inside

I spoke with the owner and understand why he keeps it open 24 hours a day and it's a financial reason. I use this early mornings through the work week; it's usually not very busy but the place is trashed. At first I didn't want to use it, then decided if that's the only reason to not use it, I decided to clean it myself. That's why it's 3 stars and not 5. It deserves 5 stars.

Very clean. QT across the street. Machines work great, not functioning machines along with everything else is clearly labeled. It's a nice place to hang out while your unmentionables are in the machines. A little small and I could see it getting crowded when it's busy but overall a great experience for a laundromat. I will take advantage of this establishment in the future.

Place is kept clean, out of service machines are fixed quickly, dryers are efficient, large sinks available for use to spot treat, wash hands, etc...I really appreciate the ability to actually have hot water when choosing to and the machines are priced fairly in comparison to average for metropolitan. 24 hour access! Best in entire city over all!

It was my first time going there and I only went due to my washer acting up and the apartment complex has not fixed it as yet. It was super clean. The atmosphere is nice. It was not too crowded and they have a lot of machines for all different sizes ex. for comforters. There is a snack machine as well as change machines for the laundry room only.

Came here for the first time today! In the time I have been here (my clothes are about half done in the dryer), the woman working has greeted everyone, swept, mopped, sanitized all the machines multiple times, she helped people save money by using the machines on sale vs. regular price, etc. very clean and well ran! It’s busy in here too!

I liked it until I saw a cockroach crawling across the floor!!! We have never been back since. As a matter of fact we haven't been back to any of them after that! We decided it was time to purchase brand new washer/ dryer. Best decision we ever made. I will not tolerate any bugs and will never take a chance of bringing them in my home!!!

Great place to go very clean. machines were well maintained and they were reasonably priced as well. The woman working was amazing such a sweet woman and she stayed busy cleaning the whole 3 hours I was there. She never stopped cleaning or helping customers In would come back just to see her!!! I would defiantly recommend this place!

I had a washer quit half way through a cycle. This was my second time back. It's a good place but the attendant still isn't here and it's now 9:10AM on a Sunday. Neither the bill exchanger not gas station next door will exchange $100 bills. No rules for leaving your clothes in the washer, no one around to do anything about it.

Great place to go to! I have a family of 5 and so in one week we have quite a bit of clothes that need washed. I only go once a week and I can usually get in and out within an hour to an hour and a half...and usually can get everything washed and dryed for under $10. Ive been going here for the past 2 1/2 months I love it!

This really is the best laundromat I have ever seen. Very clean with super size machines that do comforters with extra room so they are really getting soaked and cleaned. Happy hours that offer half off machines. There was a gentleman there on the premises cleaning even the bathrooms and each machine after use.

The owner is incredibly polite and helpful. Sptlessly clean with a variety of machines. Great place. I witnessed a man pull his laundry out of the washer and it was sopping wet. The owner quickly offered to cover another wash in a different machine and began looking at the broken machine.

I am consistently losing money in their soda machine And although they have reimbursed me in the past it's usually much later as I only do laundry once every 3 weeks and early Sunday mornings. Those machines like the washer dryers are ancient If you're not gonna fix them get rid of them

Great experience first time experience. The Workers are very nice and helpful. Clean place and different sizes and prices of Washers for your need; even have a large double sink if you have clean off clothing first before putting in washer's. Also they have Wi-Fi and one TV .

My washer is not working right now. Checked reviews and tried this place out. Pretty convienent for me. A great experience. Was lucky enough to get there during "happy hour" $1.50 washes. Very clean and safe place. I will be using this place until I can get a new washer.

My washer broke, needed to do laundry, so I came here. I've used this laundromat before for large items. Place is well lit, clean, and reasonably priced. The manager was cleaning and mopping while I was there. I'll use this place again if I need to!

Pretty nice place. One of the better laundromats I've been to. Somewhat pricey but well worth it. The machines are all in good working order, the place is clean and it's 24 hours. Not to mention I was here at 2 in the morning and felt pretty safe.

Very clean. The guy that manages it is very nice and helpful. This place is smaller but has a wide variety of machines. Dryers work great and don't take much time. The place gets busy quick and plan on spending at least 2 hours there if it's busy.

Laundroplex is great! Super clean, friendly attendant and all machines are in working order. Cheerfully decorated with great plants and assistance when needed. My go new go to place after a horrible experience at Express Laundry @ 81st and N. Oak.

They've got good prices and friendly staff. It could be a little bit cleaner, but I'm sure it's hard to do with all the foot traffic. They have a change machine and some old arcade games, though the games aren't always running.

This is my go-to laundromat for washing comforters and other big items. It's always very clean, there are plenty of large machine, the prices are competitive, and it is possible to pay with an app and thus use a credit card.

It's pretty small, but it's open 24/7 and in a safe neighborhood. You download an app to pay for your machines. It's super convenient. Place was super clean. Would definitely go back again.

Double-load washers are only $1.75 a load between 2pm and 5pm. A great bargain! They also have a drop-off service during the daytime.
