"-Set inside a very large park with a nice pond and scenery"
This is a gorgeous park, with a small water feature in the middle on the east end. There are signs everywhere requesting that you do not litter and do not try to feed the ducks because they are trying to fix the water issues and repair the ecosystem. There are paved and bark chip trails throughout the park. It was warm on the day we walked here and there were people scattered throughout the park, sunbathing, sleeping, playing games and having picnics and the park is so big and so spread out it's still felt peaceful. I suppose the giant sequoias that are scattered throughout have a lot to do with that. The entire park was well shaded, which was great on an 85 degree day in late September. The houses surrounding the park are gorgeous which just adds to the enjoyment. It felt a good 10° cooler just walking under the trees on the paved paths what are easily accessible buy wheelchair at the corners by the street and on entrances halfway down the street.
This is a great park in the laurelhurst neighborhood. Have been here a few times for different tree climbing classes and events. Today was the ISA tree coming competition. Great chance for everyday people to get to witness some of the PNW's best climbing arborist show off their skills. While it's very east to vomplain about the lack I'd convenient park..and the surprising surplus of tents and shanties.. it's not the parks fault. The park itself is is a great place to walk the dog..play some Frisbee..perhaps some hackie sac if your cool enough. Go. Check it out..make it have that Portland feel we all miss so much. Today I saw an Osprey try it's hand in the lake located in the center of the park.. I also saw many passersby stop to see what the loud cheers and excitement was about with the climbing comp. Perhaps you will be as lucky when you visit.
Laurelhurst Park is an exquisite haven of tranquility, boasting inviting benches that beckon you to indulge in delightful moments of shared meals and conversations with cherished friends or family. The pristine lake, cradled amidst a symphony of trees, captivates with its breathtaking beauty. Graceful ducks gracefully float upon its surface, welcoming the chance for you to bring delectable treats to share. As autumn descends, the park transforms into a canvas of enchanting fall colors, painting the landscape in hues of gold, amber, and crimson. It's a sanctuary where you can bask in the serene embrace of Mother Nature, making it the perfect retreat for those seeking peaceful moments amidst the splendor of the outdoors.
I adore Laurelhurst Park. It is like Portland's Central Park. I have been coming here since I was a kid. It's beautiful, inviting, and has something for everyone. Walking and bike trail. Picturesque pond. Playground, basketball, and tennis. They even have a skate board area and Horseshoes! This is awesome picnics and playdates and all the fun park stuff. Great for phototls too. If you've never been, definitely go. A favorite if not the favorite of Portland.

-Set inside a very large park with a nice pond and scenery. Lots of paved trails leading this way and that. Lots of trees. Plenty of picnic tables and people sitting out in the grass areas and flying kites, etc. A large park. Be prepared to walk to the dog areas. -There is a map near the entrances that are helpful -NOT fenced, just a particular area of open grass set inside of the large park -There are certain areas and times that the areas are for dogs (see pic for date/times) -No water stations for doggos -Street parking only. Set in a residential area. -Trash cans spread throughout -Restrooms
The park itself is really beautiful and a great addition to the neighborhood. Everyone was very friendly and seemed to pick up after themselves. Many people had blankets in the grassy areas reading, having a picnic, etc. There are so many beautiful trees. The pond has a very weird bright blue-green colored hue to it which is a bit alarming, but the ducks didn't seem to mind. There is a really nice less traveled trail that wraps around the back half of the pond. A homeless camp lines an entire side of the park which makes it difficult to drive through or find parking.
Although parking can be difficult, once you get into this park you will not want to leave. There are so many sub areas inside the park, shade and sun, running space and sitting spots, grass and water. Whether you want a picnic, a place to throw a frisbee, a chance to watch the ducks, or anything else one might do in a park, you can do it here. I love this park. It's even better on weekdays, with fewer people and easier parking.
Like others have mentioned, the park is surrounded by homeless camps even on the sidewalks of a gorgeous street with multi million dollar homes. It’s a shame that the city isn’t doing more to help people. As such, it’s hard to find parking on the street that is safe and flat. Some areas have many hills so it’s not mobility friendly but there are paved areas, just very steep. Lots of runners, cyclists and dog walkers.
Wonderful park smack dab in the middle of SE Portland. A lake with ducks sits at the eastern edge of the park. Lots of trees and open space. Room for dogs to run, mini trails and several entry points around the park. Lots of on street parking around the park. Restrooms at the northern side in about the middle of the park. Homes around the edge of the park are unique and interesting.
It’s a very beautiful place for picnic or to walk with your family, friends or pets.. The sound of nature is everywhere, the color of trees in summer is beautiful and relaxing. You can see diversity of trees. The color of the lake is stunning.. we found some falcons and squirrels. People can go there for fishing.. It’s a nice place to spend time with your beloved ones. It’s free
Beautiful park, there’s a dog area. Some people do yoga, a lot of people running, walking. a lot wildlife. A lot of different types of flowers, different colors beautiful place. Portland is beautiful because it’s so green! Keep Portland green . clean after your pets, let’s clean after ourselves. we only have one planet one eEarth. let’s take care of it. ✌️ ✌️❤️
This park is beautiful, particularly when the fall leaves start showing and in spring. Came here on a random Sunday and had almost the whole park to ourselves. There were a few people walking around, but the loudest ones there were the ducks

This is an amazing experience. You get to witness history with nature that you can walk through that have been there for 200 years! This is a great place to bring your family to experience nature at its finest. Admission if free but the memories are priceless. Giant Redwoods are my favorite part to visit. I hope you start your journey there soon!
Very nice but not secure for the toddler runners that venture out from the playground amenities. You must watch the children and not your phone which I don't mind. Open the large plastic swing chairs completely upward before placing children in or the latched shield/ harness swings down on their heads as you attempt to get them in.
Lovely historic neighborhood park with a pond and walking paths. There is no dedicated parking lot, but there's street parking adjacent to the park and in the neighborhood. There's a restroom available. Picnic tables and benches scattered throughout the park. Multiple paved paths for walking and biking. A few unpaved paths.
A beautiful park in the middle of a busy city. Well maintained, dogs can run around. Pond has ducks that will add to the peace in your mind. Fall color is beautiful. If you are in the area, it is a must visit park.

It's my favorite park in Portland. From games of badminton in the Park to walking the dog. This park is a cornerstone of the larger laurelhurst community. Beautiful well graded and maintained paths with a collection of trees that bear a closer look. Handicap accessible paths and bathrooms.
Beautiful park in SE Portland designed by the same architect that designed Central Park in NYC. It has a dog area, playground, tennis courts, pond, picnic areas and beautiful old oak trees. It's my favorite park in Portland.
Restrooms

First park I ever had the pleasure of visiting in Portland so it holds a special place in my heart. It's breathtaking and feels like a hidden forest while walking through the tall tall trees. Beautiful pond, dog Park, places to hammock, often community events. A+++
Really accessible, clean washrooms, gender inclusive, beautiful trees and landscaping. Would spend all day here with a book or paint. Excellent place for families and people of all ages. Someone was practicing Tai Chi and that warmed my heart.
Such an amazing neighborhood park. I visit it daily for exercise and absolutely love the big trees and awesome flowers. The paths are always clear and the park is well kept up. Lots of grassy areas to play ball and let the dogs roam.
Feeding the ducks is great. I try to bring peas and lettuce for them, instead of bread since it's not good for their diets. The park was a bit sketchy for a while, but it's back on track now. Great place to bring my dog Spots.
i biked through the park at twilight and it was quite the experience. the trees are so tall they kind of envelop you and the light from the lamps is soft so you almost feel liek youre in your own little world. its beautiful!
Photos from spring and fall. Very nicely paved path to walk, run, or bike on. Grab a coffee nearby and take a stroll in the park. In the spring and summer, bring a picnic - there are tables. It's very dog friendly too!
Nice medium sized park with a few big trees. Still some homeless in on section of the park, but it is semi-contained. Interesting to see a lot of Oregon Grape bushes there too. I thought it was holly or blueberry.
I enjoy running here. Though I have been bit twice by dogs that were off leash. That's frustrating, but there are signs up for unleashed areas, and I'm not being asked to rate the people who ignore them. . .
This small but sprawling park is just picture perfect. Green, rolling lawns, trails that wind through the trees, and a sweet pond all take center stage in the urban grid. Great for a picnic or a walk.
I always enjoy coming here. Right now the Camellias are in bloom. There are so many different kinds of ducks in the pond. It's a great place to relax and go for a walk around the pond.
Beautiful park! Tons of quiet sitting places where benches are off the path. Easily walkable and in most parts, wheelchair friendly. Silent disco was going on when I visited :)
By far my favorite park in portland! I feel like I'm going on a hike without having to travel far away. Always very calming and refreshing, even on the busiest of days.
Amazing collection of unique trees - conifers, deciduous, and ginkos! it really is an arboretum. Home to 5 incredible Dawn Redwoods! Accessible paths and dog friendly.
Another great Portland park. Not very big but a joy to walk through. Nestled in the Laurelhurst neighborhood, a true gem of a park to visit.
I just moved to Oregon from Redding California and this park is so beautiful I really enjoyed my time there …
Loved this neighborhood park! You can have a picnic, go on a walk, a run or just sit and contemplate.
Nice large park with plenty of people around. Great spot for walking the dog and viewing nature!
The perfect park. Well, not completely perfect. The lake is neon green lol. Great restrooms, etc
Gorgeous park! Loved walking through it, I felt like almost every view was picture perfect.
Comedy in the park... good times... amazing memories!! Lots of people enjoying the show.
