I was not too happy with this store and the employees on the day I was here. I went towards the store to get a shopping cart and they were locked. The girl that I thought was out there collecting carts was texting on her phone. I was just going in for a gallon of milk and decided I can do without the cart. WRONG! I decided to also get a gallon of orange juice and a container of yogurt. I should be able to carry 3 items right? WRONG AGAIN! I was on my way to the register and the gallon of milk started slipped from my hand, I tried to grasp it but couldn't. It hit the floor, split in half, I picked it up and milk is every where so I see an employee with a maintenance cart and he looked at me and told me to throw in in the trash can. He was at the customer service desk talking and I asked him if he could come clean up the milk, it was all over the place. I guess his conversation was more important because he didn't move. I saw another employee putting items back and asked him to put a wet floor sign there so nobody slipped and right away he went to get one. I get to the register with the items I want to purchase and one employee is standing where the customer would be and the other is where the employee would be wiping down the conveyor belt. They both look at me and the employee talking on the customer side said about the other employee, she is on break but yet her light was on so I had to walk to the next register. After I did that they turned off the light and continued talking. Very unprofessional and if I really didn't need the milk to begin with I would have just walked out, I was so frustrated when I left.
This frys is clean, well stocked, laid out in an understandable way, that makes sense to the shopper. When you walk in the isles, end caps, and even sale displays are presented in an order that seems to logical, as if your viewing the items in some sort of chronological order, or in groupings of items that belong with one and other, for example, you walk down the cereal aisle to end up with the milk and dairy in the coolers at the end, then turn left into a sale display that boasts frozen breakfast pastry, followed by an endcap featuring frozen juice and fruit, you walk up the isle from the end cap, and it is the isle of frozen breakfast items like waffles, breakfast sandwiches...etc. you may think all frys are set up this way, and I'm sure they are supposed to be, but let me assure you, most of them fail at this flow and cohesion. The employees have been very helpful and kind, even the couple times I showed up 10 mins before close, not a single rolled eye or sideways comment under their breath. Instead, they made sure I was all set, and even made sure I had extra bags since i was walking back home. I never get any problems with employees complaining about my service dog accompanying me. Clearly that isn't something that should be an issue, but sadly it quite often is, even though he has his service vest on and in plain sight. All in all I enjoy this frys and I am glad that this will be my new local frys , being that it's close to my new house.
The outside property is extremely filthy with trash around the complex. There are a lot of homeless individuals throughout and around the complex....power wash....it's a safety concern/hazard when you're bombarded by vagrant individuals meeting you at your car door and when leaving out of the store. This Fry's in Laveen has really diminished and no one seems to care....maybe because of the zip code. It would be nice to have a wine bar etc. similar to the Fry's in the "more affluent" zip codes....expand our store.....our money spends the same. Inside the store, it's super crowded and messy with baskets that sit at the front of the store full of items that need to be restocked....flies freely roam throughout the store. Some of the employees are extremely rude with poor customer service. The ladies at customer service desk are really nice, friendly and professional. The store is too small, overcrowded and needs to expanded/remodeled.Pay the money and fix these problems. Show the community that you value their business as well.
Update: You never know when the drive thru at Frys pharmacy will be open. Sign says short staffed. But when you go inside, there are 6-7 people working in there. My opinion that's not short staffed. I only go to this frys because of the drive thru. I'm handicapped and it's difficult to stand in line for any length of time. There are two frys closer to our house than this one. But they don't have drive thru. If they can't open the drive thru, might as well go to the closest one Went to frys pharmacy drive thru. They were busy but didn't take very long to get my scripts Frys pharmacy is improving. The gal that works the drive thru is the best employee. She looks out for the customer.
The cashiers are too close to one of the entrances and is hard to walk in or out through that section. The electric carts are rarely ready and available for customers. I am unable to walk due to foot injury and I have to check all electric cars to see which one ready to use. I was there the other day, and there were 2 employees and 1 looked like a manager next to the electric carts and they saw me struggling checking 4 carts and neither if them approached to help. Also, there is never enough cashiers open to help clients, they mostly have the self check out lanes open and still they are long lines.
The deli staff... lord have mercy... they ignored me standing there waiting for some service. Then I waived my hands ✋ like hello, can anyone help me? 3 "clerks" working and not one was available to even say "I'm sorry, someone will be with you momentarily..." It was tacky. The service at the deli was ridiculously tacky as if they all had better things to do with their time then to realize that the only reason a grocery store exist WITH employment is BECAUSE OF CUSTOMERS... SMH... Still debating on if it's worth going back to that one... even though that fried chicken is
Today the store was less busy than usual which made our trip more pleasant, however the staff is always crabby particularly the cashiers. We shop here often and I can say I hate it everytime. For example today there was a great need to restock as many of the shelves were empty, but carts were in the aisles with no stocker and it was hard to get to products we'd like to buy. There was one guy who was really fantastic he worked in the deli, funny and great customer service! He saved the review from a one star!
The store is great. The parking lot is another issue. It's just not safe. Pan handlers, transients, and being followed. This is all in the same visit. Has been this way for awhile now. I never see anyone go out side and tell them to leave. A plan needs to be set up to insure the safety of the customers. I know that many complaints have been made on this issue. And the store has lost customers because of it. Unfortunately it is going to take someone getting hurt and fry's getting sued to make them step up.
Produce at Fry's Food is just okay. Have used the pick up several times and received less than satisfactory fruit (bags of mandarins with spoiled fruit in it, damaged peaches, over ripe avocados). Service is not good for pick up as every other time I am missing items from my order that I paid for. Then, I end up returning to the store, which is a huge inconvenience. I will have to try to shop on my own when I have time if I want better produce, and all of my items.
Nice Fry's location unlike the small one in my hometown of Casa Grande that smells like meat juice got smeared on every floor and surface and rotted in place for about a decade. This one, however, was clean and newer and had decent deals you can scan with a QR code scanner and upload into your account to use the awesome coupon! I grabbed two half gallons of milk for 88 cents a piece when they are normally about $2.50!
Started off, disappointed because there was no disability scooters, I could use.. so I put my walker, in my shopping cart and walked as much as I could.. but I truly love Fry's... They take pride in thier quality, they have amazing employees, that you can tell.. enjoy thier job.. God is amazing , and I always know, he puts me in the best hands possible... And for my shopping needs, Fry's is God's choice for me..
I go to the Frys there, and every time I go I absolutely love the selection on food there! More then I can find at other stores. Then there's the fact that they carry a particular brand of lunch meat (boars head), that I can't find anywhere else, which makes me very happy. The employees there are always very friendly and helpful when you need it. I will always go back when I get the chance.
It's a very nice e clean store I was surprised how big it was I the inside but again surprised when I went looking for eggs and it was 3 cartons left but some times things like that happen close to holidays. The prices on a lot of things were very high and I couldn't find any frozen bags of shrimp and that really surprised me. In the end it was a very nice store. FRYS
This entire corner has gone down hill since the pandemic. This cramped store is always shopped out, bathrooms dirty, pharmacy understaffed and outdated meats/produce left in the cases. Homelessness and drug use has taken over the parking lot, so much in fact; that it isn’t safe day or night. It is worth the quick trip on the 202 to go to the Awahtukee Frys Home Store.
Fry's has streamlined its pick up and delivery service. They offer four spaces for grocery pickup. You place your order using the app. The final amount is billed when you pick up your order. After you place your order you will be notified if there are any changes. Then you pick up at the designated day and time. Everyone wears masks.
Like my review please for this to be seen! Great marketplace and it was kept clean. The service was great and the signs above head made it easy to know where to go. They have a bit of everything you'd expect, even for a smaller frys marketplace. Service was exceptional and I did not expect quite a few employees to ask me for help!!
Smaller fry's, old layout, crowded, hopefully laveen gets a fry's marketplace as our population is exploding. They usually have security so we don't get panhandled from the weird drug situation in front of walgreens, and circle k. Only use this store for very quick grocery needs, full size shopping always done in Ahwatukee.
The store was cool but there was a salesman in there trying to get people to switch to AT&T. After telling him I am not interested he continued to walk along side of me as I'm trying to shop trying to convince me to switch phone companies. I had to ask no one ever taught you that no means no. He left me alone after that.
The manager on duty at night is great hes up beat and write on it! He always has a :) and is happy to meet your needs as is with most of the workers I have found that the problem in the store lies within the cashiers they are not very friendly I'm not speaking of all of them but quite a percentage somewhat grumpy
Very busy supermarket and always seems very busy. Store doesn’t keep items enough in stock. With Instacart or pickup, 20-30% items not available. Surroundings pretty clean and well maintained. Usually, cops car outside for safety. Friendly cashiers and other staff. Pro: safe clean friendly Con: not well stocked
Property manager needs to pay closer attention to there responsibility's. The trash cans are always in Mass scattered about littering the local area many stop signs are missing throughout the parking lot resulting in near accidents and the amount of vagrance loitering about in the parking lot is alarming.
It's a good place to go for pharmacy or grocery shopping,or get other stuff you need from the store. The store itself is clean, organized, customer service is pretty good because they are polite and helpful. I just don't like the area too much but it's not bad. I do like shopping here tho.
Great store. The staff are very helpful. They do not have the carry baskets for small shopping. I don't like using carts because I usually pop in for just a few things. They are always busy but you don't ever have to wait to lond to check out. I always use the self checkout anyway.
I try to avoid this Fry's location. I gave two stars for fresh produce, meat, and helpful staff. The empty shelves for eggs and milk are a pain when that's the only reason for stopping in. I'm taking off 2 stars for safety concerns in the parking lot and in the store.
You can find most everything here. Their prices are much better than other local grocery stores. The low prices make Fry's my main place for groceries. Fry's is also on Instacart if you want your groceries delivered. For fresh produce I prefer Sprouts or Costco.
They sell a variety of things from food to supplies, they have a Starbucks inside too and I almost always go to here or Safeway across the street for food. I've only had one bad experience here but that was resolved quick and easy I would always recommend frys.
Stopped in at Mandy's Fish and chips. Had the 3 piece fish and chips. Chose the catfish. It and the fries were very, very good! Sorry, I'd finished eating before I thought about picture. The restaurant was busy. Many take home orders while we had dinner.
Fry's Marketplace is nice! Especially being that there's a Home Depot next door, a Subway, Red Dragon Chinese food take out, Chipotle, a third party MVD, and Crumbl Cookie all next door to one another. Oh and can't forget about Petco and Dollar General!
I went to the dollar tree & when I came out someone put (I don't know what it was?) Some type of liquid on my hood & it messed up my paint job! I am so mad!!!! I had my car only a little beyond a year & now it's ruined. Sorry bad picture. …
Great place to go grocery shopping and find seasonal goods like BBQ grills and decorations. Nice clean store and friendly staff. A great variety of goods. I shop for groceries there and have rented a rug doctor there before. The only reason
The seafood guy Jacob was so very rude! I'm pretty sure you're supposed to NOT sell frozen seafood if it's advertised fresh but that's what I got. He went to the freezer and got frozen catfish nuggets, half wrapped them and threw them on
Trashy. There are missing stop signs everywhere, trash scattered about, dumpster doors just left swinging open causing issue with traffic, a two-way stop when it should be four due to its blind corners, all around just poor management.
Best Frys in the valley. The workers are so nice. Frank is such a kind guy. I always hear him saying hi to everyone. He deserves a raise. He always works very hard and helps me out to the car with my 4 kids and 2 carts of groceries.
Pretty much what one would expect from a grocery store in Laveen. Fry's all out of ice and guy was in the parking lot hitting people up for money. Got him a sandwich and we all lived happily ever after in ongoing happiness.
Went to Red Dragon and had Mongolian Beef and Peppers. Was great as usual. These people are very nice, usually busy but still get your order quickly. When I make it to this side of town, I always try to stop in.
Always packed with people every day of the week. They manage the store well and keep it clean and staff is always courteous. Wish they would open one more Fry's in Laveen so this one isn't always so crowded.
What I dnt believe it should happen is in the Morning you have to Chk out ur own None cashiers Open to Serve you is not Very helpful to me But good thing Starbucks is in there Clean and very well stock Fry's
took my son there for his 2nd VAX shot. do not know much else about it. can tell you though that it is a fairly new shop outdoor mall. most biz open and seeking new employees, a good thing that is.
We love fries we shop there most often. For our groceries and several sundry items. There are places to eat next door and around the parking lot there's a few Banks there's a Home Depot next door.
Young staff up front that keeps to themselves. Some helpful and some are not. They need improvement with customer support and service, older staff are much more friendly and courteous.
Traffic is just suck here. The circle K should have a police presence it is sketchy! The McDonald's is a bit janky too. Frys is great! Dollar Tree is ok! Mandy's is very good too
Fry's love the fuel points you can earn along with all the coupons I get too. Just hate alot of times Customer Service seems to be always closed durning business hours ... smh
Love shopping at frys! I go through the lines and check my own groceries out. I enjoy doing that. Its always busy which is a good thing and they have my favorite ice cream!
This Fry's has the worst customer service, their employees are rude, and the store has a terrible layout, especially in the produce section. The pharmacy is even worse.
Only stopped to grab a coffee from the Starbucks inside. The line was long but the 3 employees worked together quickly and well to keep it moving. They did a great job.
Busiest grocery store I have been toin the middle of the week!!!! And not not even half the registers were open. Lines were almost to the Very back of the store!!!!!!
Good place to spend your money but shame on Aldis. Knowing the pork on the shelves was spoiled but still decided to take a risk with lives and sell it. Never again
Not for this area but I have to say this is a very nice store. It was clean, the people were friendly, and I was surprised by the prices, very affordable
Local Frys is cool but the local homelessness is going up, to be fair seems like it's going up everywhere. We are living through very tough times.
The had a jersey Mike's i was happy to see boom , and I had some points on my Mike's app and got a sub the Mike's way boom …
Love this area. Village Market has pretty much everything I want or need at this location. I feel fairly safe at this location.☺️ …
I went to Home Depot. Very hard to find an employee to direct and assist us for the items we wanted to purchase. Very friendly cashier.
Ok not fond of this very frustrating when you wait for someone to acknowledge you at deli and then make you feel like you are a bother
I have a love hate relationship with this plaza. It gots everything I need but the traffic is crazy. Especially Fry's parking lot.
An entire shopping center with numerous choices in shops that range from foods, ice cream treats, banking and car repairs/tires.
Many good stores, parking lot is great. Only thing is it gets crowed in terms of parking space depending on the time of day
Rude staff. Always crowded. Never are you going to found help here. Prices always in top of another super market.
Needed to make deposit in Credit Union was closing time 11:00 PM they still let me in. Thank You Fry's Market
I love this place! Very attentive and helpful staff and Dr. Nejad takes so good care of everyone. Thank you!
Don't live in Laveen no more. But when I visit family on that side. I will stop by their if I have to.
Not my regular locations. But associates are always willing to assist if needed. Love me my Frys.
Alot of mixed signs of people who are not allowed in the store due to homeless people on drugs
Store with literally no body to check you out. The stores dirty and none of the carts function
they have security now, which feels a lil better n safe. other than that nice shopping area.
Clean and found everything we needed but only 1 register open and long line for self serve
Busy shopping center, always crowded... I usually try to avoid it during peak hours.
Good place to go for some essentials. Lots of people most of the time is only issue
Loads of great items...more than most stores but I don't love the parking lot!!
Love this place, walking distance from the house and they have all we need!
A lot of junkies hang out in front of circle K at 51st Ave and baseline
Not enough cashiers up front waited more then 20 minutes to check out
Their credit card machines weren't working so that was a pain tbh
Huge store. Figure if you can't find it here, you don't need it.
Great marketplace with a variety of shops to choose from …
Gets very busy...large number of homeless people out and about
Love It, Ingredients Are Just Amazing Will Keep Coming.
Also worth taking your time to meet ur needs and greets
Fry's has the best prices and best selection of items
Did a quick pick up at one of the surrounding shops
Great location and easy to move around the store
It was a busy First Wednesday. Thank you …
Need more open lanes, not just self check out!
Man jus come and visit see for yourself …
Nice and comfortable places great people thx
Busy... a lil scary... allot of traffic...
Nekter has the best Acai Bowls in town.
Parking lot needs attention
