Very positive experience and satisfied with their service. Reception staff on the phone were extremely helpful and flexible with booking my puppy’s first vaccination appointment. We also received a phone call checking in on our puppy after she visited the after hours hospital one day, even though we had never been to the MAH at that stage so my dog was not technically their patient yet. Very grateful for simple caring gestures like that! On the day of the vaccination, because of current COVID restrictions, we were not able to go in with our puppy but she was well looked after and came back to us really happy. Rosslyn answered all our questions and gave really helpful advice. Thanks again and we’re glad you guys are our dog’s vet!

Can't recommend these guys highly enough. I came from the after hours emergency vet with my cat Monty who had been hit by a car. He had a very badly broken back leg and possible other injuries. I had just suffered the death of a very close friend and was in quite a state. Holly and all the staff treated me with such kindness and compassion, giving me regular phonecalls and letting me visit as often as I wanted while he was hospitalised. He ended up having the leg amputated and is now hopping happily around as though nothing ever happened! I am so grateful to these wonderful people. If you are going to choose a vet in Hobart - choose this one! They will treat you and your pet as though you were family!

The staff at Macquarie Animal Hospital went above and beyond expectations in treating our beloved cat while we were away interstate and miraculously kept her going until we returned home to see her before we made the sad decision to end her long life. As well as providing expert care, the staff are clearly true animal lovers and showed great compassion to us as well as our cat. They handled the end of life process in the kindest way possible and we will always be very grateful to them for that. We would absolutely recommend Jane and her dedicated staff.

Took my cat there the first vet was fine the second one gave my cat an injection for arthritis which she didn't have the issues my cat had were unresolved cash grabbers charge an arm and a leg they care about the money not helping your animal will never take my cat back there they couldn't even get the gender correct on their paperwork absolutely hopeless

Puppy was off food, im in Lindisfarne but my usual vet was booked up, tried every vet on eastern shore, all booked up for a week so tried these guys. They made me an an appointment for that avo, they were great. Would recommend them. A chap called me early the next morning to see how my pooch was. Great service
