My husband and I recently moved to Florida. I completed the online application for Geico car insurance. Then I called to set up an appointment to have my questions answered. The man who answered the phone said that I have to pay about $150 online to receive the service that I requested. What? The purpose of the meeting would be to get specifics about the policy. What if after the appointment I do not want to have Geico? My $150 is flushed down the drain? Is this acceptable? Is this a scam? How long has this trick been going on? Is this why car insurance is so outrageously expensive in Florida? 01/06/2024 UPDATE: Ms. Nguyen, As you know, your telephone service records most, if not all, of your staff members' conversations with customers/potential customers. Because of the conversation that I had with one of your employees and because of the strong-arm tactics that you exhibit on your website, I will be filing a formal complaint with the insurance commissioner's office. My husband and I performed a lot of research to make the decision to have auto insurance through Geico in Jacksonville, Florida. Now we have to decide who is #2.

Geico has horrible customer service. None of the "real live" reps in the customer service wants to talk to you over the telephone about issues with your policy. They prompt you to speak to an automated rep (a computer) not a real person. Then when you refuse to speak with the computer, they immediately send you a link to text "someone " but I believe that it is still an automated "cyber" person (speaking to a computer). Whatever happened to the "old fashion " telephone call and providing that award winning customer experience?? Geico "use" to be good at delivering excellent customer service and was always available when you had questions about your policy; but now those days are no longer here. I decided to drop Geico as my auto insurance company, I felt that Geico has gotten so big that they forgot about the policyholders who got them where they are today. This IS NOT the type of insurance company that I want to be involved with. So "Bye, Felicia " I have moved on to a company who respects me as a paying policyholder and appreciates my business! I do not and will not ever recommend Geico to anyone that I know.

I got a quote from Geico website and was not able to pay online due to some technical glitch. Reached out to a representative about the quote and payment , but he denied my quote and gave a reason: returning customers need to complete 6 months of time to get back to Geico with a new quote. To me that doesn't make any sense. But Don looked into the problem and honored the online quote and helped me to secure the quote and policy with the saved quote. He also helped me to suggest some of the additional very useful services with very little cost overhead. I really appreciate his service. He was very polite and knowledgeable about differ Geico products and services. I really appreciate Don's help.

Spoke to Ms.Liz about an online quote I had filled out, and she was absolutely phenomenal! She was straight to the point and concise. Liz patiently listened to/answered all my concerns and questions. She made sure to give me the protection I needed, and didn't just try to sell me something. I honestly have to say I never write reviews whether good or bad, but given the superior customer service experience I received today, I felt compelled to express my gratitude for this agent who's attention to detail shows she truly cares about her clients(something that is rare to come by nowadays). Like the old saying says 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!

Ben Sperry brings back memories when customer service was excellent. You made one call, got all your questions answered, had a very polite and caring person on the other end and they took whatever time was needed. This young man is the epitome of excellence. Insurance companies are notorious for having you pay for more than you need and you feel a bit ripped off when all is said and done. Ben listened. He is so personable and has such positive energy that you just want to keep him on the line. I never thought I’d go to Geico but I got a great rate and a person I feel I could contact if I needed.

I called the local office and they were nice and friendly and save me a GREAT amount of savings on my auto, than what I was paying with my other insurer. Then at renewal switched over my renters policy which was 1/2 of what I originally was paying with the other guy! Today I spoke with Jerome in the office and he took great care of me, reviewed my policy to make sure it was correct and also help me set up my jewelry policy..quick, simple and easy Best service ever. Come on down and talk to Jerome S. and he will make sure are absolutely all set and give you a piece of mind!

I was able to get hold of Eduardo directly on the phone right away the first time I called. We quickly jumped into getting a personalized quote to fit my precise auto insurance needs. After going through the various coverage options, we got the best deal. It was considerably lower than what I was currently paying with another insurance company. So, even though I had been with the other company for over two decades and through living in four different states, I quickly switched to Geico. We finished up the paperwork in a matter of minutes, and I'm glad I did.

Lance Tran is one of the best you can get to help you understand and obtain your insurance needs. He is an experienced professional and was responsive and helpful when I needed them to quickly get me a new homeowners policy for my rental home.
